"Culver City’s Annapurna’a Southern Indian dishes draw crowds to this retail mall by serving dosa, uttapam, idli, and more. It also serves delicious navaratan korma with mixed vegetables in a flavorful sauce and topped with dried fruits and cashews." - Virali_Dave, Eater Staff

Very high quality food and care towards their customers. Pradip constantly checked on us and treated us with Forbes 5-star level hospitality. We will be coming back regularly!

The food was really good! We loved the outdoor seating by the creek. It was one of the few, reliable vegetarian options in Vail. The hospitality was superb. We will definitely be back. Pradeepji and his team are great hosts.

Authentic and delicious food. The momos were amazing and a must-have. Roti reminded us of homemade food. It's a good place to get food and chai in a cold and snowy day. (Remember to explicitly say no sugar if you want chai with no sugar). Food is slightly on the expensive side, but that's to be expected of Vail.

Google
Food was tasty and well prepared. With the exception of the tandoori chicken, the portions were smaller than expected.

This is hands down the best Indian / Nepalian food in Colorado! Love this best and come here every single time I’m in town. Their cheese Naan is by far the best I’ve ever had. Put some of the Chicken Massala juice over the rice and you will be in heaven. I can’t recommend this spot enough! Gluten free options as well if you ask. Great service and a nice fun Indian ambiance mixed with the nepalian mountain feel.

We dined in this restaurant that offers halal options. We tried the masala lamb, shrimp noodles, and their delicious naan. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The service was fast and friendly, making our experience even better. It’s a fantastic find for halal food in an area with limited options. Highly recommend! The two Halal options on their menu are lamb and goat.

When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty! We quickly got a seat and ordered our food. Our appetizer of Momos and Samosas were simply delicious. The main course was okay, but the butter and plain naans were great! We were so full that we didn’t have any room for dessert. I hope you enjoy this restaurant as much as we did!

If you’re looking for an authentic Nepali dining experience, this place is a gem! The ambience truly captures the essence of Nepal, and the food is just as genuine. We ordered momo and chauchau, both of which were delicious and full of flavor. The highlight of our visit was Rama didi, the chef, who personally came to our table to chat. Her warmth and hospitality made the experience even more special. Highly recommend

Yelp
This restaurant came recommended to us from a friend who lives nearby and we cannot fathom why. We came in on a weekday afternoon for dinner and it was rather empty. We ordered a naan to start off and it fell flat of expectations. The entrees we ordered also lacked much taste and we overpriced in general. The saag paneer was neither creamy nor thick. The butter chicken seemed off. All in all this is one of the worst Indian meals I've had anywhere. The restaurant itself is pretty with a small but well decorated indoor space. The outdoor deck is very pretty and a good place to eat. Staff were not unfriendly but I did try to speak with them a bit since my wife and I have been to Nepal and India. They were either busy or not interested.

Yelp
Best flavors of food in Eagle County. If you are looking for the best Asian cuisine, Annapurna is my go to recommendation for vegetarian and meat eating guests. The green mint sauce with the samosas is so good I would drink it. The restaurants staff is great. The restaurant is conveniently located next to the hospital inside the hotel. Its decor is basic but my family loves that we can always hear our table mates.

Lori W.

Yelp
Stopped by this place around noon today for closing day and there was only one other couple there. Service was fast and the place was eerily quiet. We started with the samosas and I loved the sauces! Then I had the traditional curry with lamb as my entree and my boyfriend also got a lamb dish, which both came with rice. I ordered garlic naan and he ordered onion kulcha and we loved it all! Great flavors for a decent price. Would definitely go back again, but probably for dinner next time.

Yelp
Very good food. Large portions. Ordered take out, so as far as service I can tell that they made the food in a timely manner and did not mess up the order.

Yelp
This restaurant is located inside the Evergreen lodge, and since we were staying there, we decided to give it a try. The menu offers dishes from Nepal and India, including various curries, tandoori specialties, and vegetarian options. We all ordered our plates medium-spicy, and although we enjoy hot dishes, we agreed that this was a little too much. Instead of a 5-6 out of 10, next time, we won't go above 4. We all liked our food. My husband tried the lamb Chau Chau, a Nepalese specialty with udon noodles and veggies. I loved my chicken Kawab, marinated in yogourt and spices, then roasted in the tandoori oven. Our friends also enjoyed their curry and Tikka Saag. The atmosphere could use a little work; the place lacks warmth, but there is a patio, which is nice when the weather allows it. We'd definitively go back when staying in that hotel.

Yelp
Was visiting Vail during the summertime and looking for a place to go for dinner, and Annapurna Nepali and Indian Cuisine was recommended to us as a solid dining option. We went to the restaurant around 6:30pm and were seated promptly. Service at the restaurant is decent - we did have to flag down our waiter to get our order placed. The restaurant also was operating at about 45% capacity, so I'm curious to see what it is like during the winter season when people start returning to ski. The restaurant is decorated with Nepalese art and prayer flags, which gives off a nice ambience. We tried a variety of dishes, which I'll review down below: Malai Kofta ($20): I'm a big fan of Malai Kofta dishes, and always look to try various restaurants renditions of this dish! The veggie balls were hearty and the sauce was rich - you could taste the earthiness and nuttiness from the cashew nuts and a slight sweetness from the raisins. The sauce did have a bit of graininess, but that is expected since it is literally ground up nuts. Lamb Traditional Curry ($24): Definitely the spicier of the four dishes that we ordered. The lamb was a bit thick, and the sauce had a initial spice blast with a small build up of heat afterwards. I would say I ate this one more with rice since the sauce is stronger than the other three dishes, and it was my least favorite out of the four. Chicken Makhni ($22): Similar to the lamb dish, the chicken was also a bit thick and dense - I think I expected this since it is chicken breast meat. The sauce was on the lighter side in terms of flavor and how tangy I was expecting it to be. Saag Paneer ($20): I would say that this dish was my favorite of the four that we ordered. The dish was creamy, and the small pieces of paneer were delicious! The sauce was also really rich, and what was I was looking for in terms of Indian food. If I were in the Vail area looking to eat at Annapurna again, I would order this dish. In the end, I spent about $102 before tax and tip for everything that you see here. It is on the pricier side if I'm basing it on the average Indian/Nepalese restaurant that I have tried, but I would say that this is an alright price given the quantity and quality of food given the location. Though compared to other restaurants in the Vail area, I would say that this is one of the better bang for your buck in terms of price.

Mara B.

Yelp
This place was fantastic for a warm meal on a cold winter night. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and the garlic naan. Both were fantastic. The portions were good too. My friend got the saag paneer and really enjoyed it. The server was very kind too. I definitely will come back here during future trips to Vail so long as Annapurna is there!

Linda A.

Yelp
Hidden inside a hotel, this place is a gem. The parking is a bit tight, but the views of the creek are wonderful. We tried several dishes, but the vegetable korma was certainly the best.

Donna L.

Yelp
This restaurant easily accommodated our large group. They provided seepage checks easily. The staff were friendly and attentive - our water glasses were never empty. The food was delicious. The have a large vegetarian menu and our Vegan. Ember found many options. The garlic naan was addictive. The Nepalese momos - both chicken and vegetarian were delicious and fresh made. This restaurant is located inside Evergreen Lodge. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Stopped here for a late dinner after an ice performance. By "late," I mean that we arrived about 20 minutes before closing (which is at 9pm). They started by trying to turn us away. Hungry and really excited about the food, I pointed at my watch (how American of me) and they seated us. We ordered ... chicken tikka masala, I think. Garlic naan too. Unfortunately I didn't really get to enjoy it like I could have, as the vibe was definitely "please finish up and get out." Other parties (who may have been family of the proprietors, or at least good friends) were relaxing and enjoying themselves, so why they would rush us was beyond me. In any case, I would go back and give them another shot, but not right before closing time. If they don't want to seat people after 8:30pm, then perhaps they could post that information with their hours. The menu included plenty of wonderful options, and I'd love to try something spicy - I was with spice-averse people so had to suffer with mild dishes - with plenty of choices for everyone. Hopefully the experience will be better too!

Yelp
Finding an Indian restaurant in vail was like finding a needle in the haystack. Options were far in between and we were short on time (since they all close around 2.30pm). This was one of, if not, the only highly rated restaurant around so we went in here with very high expectations. This entire experience was an amalgamation of good food but poor customer service. We were a party of 5 so we ordered accordingly; Dal Maharani, Chicken Korma, Chicken Vindaloo, Garlic and regular Naan along with extra rice to go with the dal. The Korma was the highlight of this lunch special along with the Dal. Everything else was as expected, nothing to write home about. The portion size was hilariously small, there was literally 6 pieces of chicken in the korma and 3 pieces in Vindaloo. We were told there would be rice along with the entrees but we never got it. We had to inquire about our 'missing rice' and that's when the server said it's in the kitchen and he didn't bring it. Given how the portion size was, we had to order another entree, and when we tried to do that, the server told us that we had to wait 20 minutes because there were other customers in the restaurant, which you don't hear often, if ever; he had that look on his face where he didn't want us to order more since it was close to their closing time, even though they were still welcoming new guests and it was super disingenuous and unaccommodating. As we were a party of 5, there was gratuity tagged along, which isn't uncommon, but after we paid the bill, he stood right there and 'demanded' we leave a tip; again, we don't mind tipping given everything falls into place, but to add 20% gratuity and then stand there while we sign and demand a tip seemed super bizarre. I'm honestly very perplexed as to how and why this restaurant has such raving reviews; on one side, the food was tasty and good, but the portion size was very modest and the service, to put it bluntly, was unprofessional and lackluster. If this was a purely take out place, I'd understand the high reviews but this is a proper sit down place with good outdoor views. I'd honestly give this a solid A in terms of food and food ONLY; the service and the portion size for what they charge is a C-

Yelp
I was pretty excited to visit Vail for the first time, even though it was for work. My partner and I parked at Evergreen Lodge to dine at Annapurna, not realizing it's paid. Good thing we didn't get a ticket!! It's a pain in general to find parking in Vail unless you're staying at a specific hotel or reset. The restaurant itself was empty, and service was quiet. Unfortunately no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't love the food. I got the Boti Saag (lamb sautéed in creamy spinach) and Garlic Naan. The main dish was room temperature, bland, and not very filling. Super disappointing overall. I'm guessing it's all the hungry skiiers that got Annapurna to 4.5 stars, because I'm simply perplexed by that rating.

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
Wonderful, flavorful food. Beautiful service. Try the paratha bread and saag paneer and sweet mango lassi. Loved the tandoori chicken. Everything is made with care and love.

Sandra L.

Yelp
My first time coming here and I have to say this was the best food I've had in the Vail valley! Every single thing was amazing!! The owner invited me earlier today when he visited my job and I made it my business to pay them a visit! The staff are all Nepalese and were very kind and accommodating. The ambiance was very nice giving a calm vibe which I appreciated very much agree a long day at work, everything was clean and organized. My favorite thing was the chau chau shrimp it was sooo flavorful and filling, the naan could've been eaten alone but it definitely was great with saag paneer and makhani chicken. My boyfriend was very very pleased with the goat curry, it reminded him of Jamaican curry goat which is something he's been looking for since we moved here. We'll definitely be coming back to try more things and we're very excited to do so!

Yelp
I really hate to say that I finally gave in to downloading Yelp to leave a review for this place, but I truly just had one of the worst food service experiences in my life as a customer. I'm truly shocked by the great reviews of this place as a very average Vail local. I work at a local hotel and am well aware of what should be decent service I general and for this area. It's "funny", my least favorite sports bar in Vail is also in the Evergreen lodge and this makes a lot of sense that they're owned by the same bad management. I had the most mid bar food and bad service there last year but wanted to give this place a try since it's the only Indian that's close to us. I came here on a Thursday evening with my partner. Lobby for the Evergreen looked very dated and poorly kept as usual (one of the worst but cheapest hotels in Vail), but I knew what to expect so it didn't shock me. The dining area was a very average space, a dated dining area, these sort of cheese-y prayer flags and strange flat screen TVs with random pictures and maps of Nepal with no context. Horrible playlist going on in the background. It was completely empty almost except for a middle aged couple in casual dress quietly dining in the corner and a mix match 4 party influencer party that was taking out a LED light to take pictures of their food (odd but typical for Vail). Didn't care about a fancy aesthetic though, I truly don't care if a place is fancy, or busy and in high demand. I usually enjoy great food in a hole in the wall fashion. We were told to pick where we wanted to sit and so we seated ourselves in the section that had people in it. We were given two waters after 5 minutes of sitting around looking at the menu. We needed an extra minute, after they quickly came up to ask if knew what we wanted. Normally, it's expected you get a few minutes to look at the menu, you get the run down on any specials, you get asked if you would like to order an app or drinks, your server introduces themselves, etc. but we within 3 minutes we had 2 different servers briskly ask us if we were ready. Please just give us a second? I guess it was the wrong idea to not quickly order, because 20 minutes later we had to flag down a different worker to please take our order because nobody ever walked by, checked in, or even made eye contact. Truly so weird to beg someone to take my order, it was 7 PM in a dining joint on a Thursday night. Our food came out timely, and it was fine. Not great. Fine. Naan was rather dry, not warm. Tandoori chicken was good, but the rice it came with(?) was dry and crunchy. My partner's lamb dish was fine, but nothing special. Wish I had ordered an app because those looked better on the table for the other party. I've had plenty of dishes in the past at various Indian places from strip malls to upscale and this wasn't anything remarkable. We cook a lot at home and my partner grew up in a family that culturally has curries and other similar items; this was fine at best. The service took a lot away from the experience, so I will say the food wasn't the biggest turn off. I would most likely try it again as takeout. Not sure why, but the music playing was a weird mix of radio hits and trap medley, I felt like I was in a fast food joint in some shitty urban sprawl city. It really was one of the worst things about the experience. I don't want to listen to trap-rap as I'm trying to eat and I'm paying 80+ for a meal. Silence would have been better, and I typically don't care what's playing. After finishing what we wanted we waited around for a while until we realized they would not come check on us unless we asked, so once again we flagged anyone (not our server) down to please just let us close our check. At this point we just wanted to leave. We asked for a box as we had a lot of food left. A random worker handed us a box and a piece of foil over the barrier between our table and the main walking area (very rude to not just walk around and address us like normal people?) and we boxed our stuff up as fast as we could because at this point I was borderline sad I wasted my time on my day off. They were clearing dishes as we tried to box our food. When the check game, I definitely did not do my typical 20-25% as someone who's had years of dining/serving experience. I wish we had done takeout because it was a chore to come here. I don't go out to eat often because as a local it's very expensive and you get tired of the village run around with tourists and overpriced food. I was so disappointed by how poor the service was here. I will not come again or recommend it to anyone. They have the market on Indian food, I guess. But that's it. I didn't include pics of the food because the food wasn't the main issue. The service was abysmal. I've had better service at The George and La Cantina.

Travis F.

Yelp
Solid Indian food option in the mountains. The food was good. I enjoyed the Lamb masala (B) and the cheese naan (B). Great flavor in the lamb masala - the meat could've cooked longer as it was a little chewy. The naan didn't seem as traditional as others I've had...this one was more like a cheese quesadilla, but still good. The service is good, if not overly attentive. I would definitely go back

Yelp
Annapurna Nepali & Indian Cuisine in Vail, Colorado, is an absolute culinary marvel! The Nepali food here is beyond sensational--easily the best I've ever had. The Chicken Makahany is a standout dish, bursting with incredible flavors and perfectly cooked. Each meal is a journey through authentic Nepali cuisine that leaves you craving more. What truly sets Annapurna apart is the outstanding service. The staff is extraordinarily attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a remarkable dining experience. The owner, in particular, is a shining example of hospitality, often greeting guests personally and ensuring everything is perfect. Their warmth and dedication make you feel like part of the family. Annapurna Nepali & Indian Cuisine is not just a restaurant; it's an experience that delights all your senses. I can't recommend it highly enough--it's a must-visit for anyone in Vail!

Rajesh S.

Yelp
Amazing tasty food. Service is pleasant. Everyone serving were very pleasant, courteous. Background nepalese and indian music is equally pleasant. It was boyond expectation. When you use Gps To come it will lead to parking lot to resort. Park your car and the resturant is inside the resort itself.

Andrea C.

Yelp
Short version: the food is good, but it's not the friendliest service. The prices are very reasonable for Vail, but on the higher side relative to a normal town or city. Longer version: I'm kind of obsessed with Indian food for being 0% Indian, and I'll go out of my way for some good Indian food, so I have some opinions. My group ordered the lamb korma, baingan bharta, and the chicken curry, plus a garlic naan and mango lassi. Nothing was bad, but the group consensus was that the chicken curry was the best, which is actually a Nepalese curry. As the for rest of the dishes and lassi, they were all good but definitely not the best I've ever had. I'd recommend sharing dishes family style, especially if you want more of a "side," such as some of the vegetarian menu options. Also for each dish they ask how spicy you want it. They don't joke around with the spice levels. Everything we ordered was between a 3-5 / 10 on the spice level and there was plenty of kick.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Hidden gem inside the Evergreen Lodge. Food was amazing! Service was so kind and great! Would definitely go back again. Highly recommend

Paul B.

Yelp
The staff service was great, the food was simply wonderful. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had outside of the East Coast or London. The only detractor for this entire meal was the cost of the drinks. I don't think they have a bar, I think they have to get their Alcohol from the next-door bar.

Eshaa M.

Yelp
The Best food I have eaten so far in vail valley. The authenticity, the service and the cozy atmosphere is top notch Highly recommend it to other!!

Snehal P.

Yelp
Amazing food. Ate at this place on the first day our trip to Vail and the food was awesome. We will surely visit again during this trip and future trips.

John R.

Yelp
Probably the best option for Indian food if your in the mountains anywhere near Vail. Located in the evergreen lodge hotel it's a little away from the town. If your able to, check it out at lunch time because the prices are significantly lower than dinner. We ordered the Baigan Bharta, Daal soup and garlic Naan. It was all really solid with the Baigan Bharta being my favorite dish, it was packed full of flavor and really good. The Daal soup was also tasty and it was a decent size for not being an entree.

Malak A.

Yelp
Would give zero stars if I could. Very rude host. Couldn't even say hello and properly welcome us into the restaurant. Super long wait for WAY overpriced food with average flavors and small portions! The protein in the chicken chau chau was dark and rubbery. Definitely a very bad quality of meat they're using! Do not eat here!!!!

Humairaa A.

Yelp
Not sure how to feel about this place. The highlights- service, naan, cheeya/chai. Mango lassi was 4/5, very subtle mango and rose flavors. Chai was dynamite, as it sat in the warmer for a while, the milk and sugar really married and it was comfort in a cup. Naan was solid, Vail is pricey $5-6 a naan. I think it's funny cause a typical Pakistani/Indian place charges much less but it's Vail. Anywho, we tried the following entrees Chicken Kawab level 3, paneer saag, and veggie chau chau. A fellow Yelp reviewer said to skip on the noodles and I should have listened. Really regret not listening to their review. The kawab were more boti or pieces of chicken, marination was light and the flavor of a specific chili sauce came through. That green top one: huy fong. I think they add more or less of that sauce depending on what level you ask for 1-10. The saag paneer was pretty delicious, the saag part. Paneer didn't have any flavor but I assume it's there for protein. The saag with warm naan hit home. If I were to return and reorder I'd for cheeya, saag and naan. Maybe even one of their curries.

Nicole G.

Yelp
This is the best Indian food ever. The service is excellent and efficient. The chicken tikka masala is my favorite dish and I get it every time! I come here every time I am in vail!

Chris H.

Yelp
Goat curry was bland grisly and you have to be careful of the bone. Chicken chau chau, was just ok. Wanted to try Nepalese for a change, not for me stick to Indian or Thai

Jennica J.

Yelp
In a place filled with traditional steak houses, this place by far passed the standard for flavor. We ordered vindaloo, korma, and saag and each was delicious and filled with flavor. The prices were very reasonable and the service was great. The food tasted very authentic. The owner was so kind and personable and the servers were very attentive. This restaurant may not offer chic ambiance like other restaurants but the food far surpasses anything else in this area. I definitely recommend dining here.

Kelly K.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots for dinner in Vail. Great Indian food for both takeout and dining in. Love all of the veggie options and their Shrimp tikka masala is also a favorite. If you are looking for authentic Indian food and a reasonably priced dinner in Vail this is the spot.

Ginger S.

Yelp
Delicious! We had the keema matar (ground lamb and peas), sag paneer (cheese in spinach), and vegetable korma. That last dish is one of the best I've ever ever had (so rich)! It's a bit out of the way, but we're already thinking of making a second trip during our week in Vail. Value like this also isn't easy to find in Vail!

Chloe L.

Yelp
Such amazing and warm service with delicious food! Highly recommend. Shoutout to Ohm!

Shreeya S.

Yelp
We reached near was closing time but the staff kindly accommodated us and quickly took our orders. It was a bit tricky to find the place as first timers but once inside the lodge, the prayer flags make it easy to spot. As Nepali visitors, we were longing for some feel at home momos and achar after a long travel and this place delivered perfectly. Absolutely worth waiting for that freshly cooked juicy momos. The chicken korma was also a delightful choice. We're definitely planning to return on our next visit!

M R.

Yelp
food was good; service was fantastic. Pradip was such a kind and friendly man. Kids loved the mango lassies; grown-ups loved the lamb (and everything else).

Jack S.

Yelp
Excellent food at reasonable (for Vail) prices though the amount of meat given is on the small size leaving little for take home.

Lynndel F.

Yelp
First the view is awesome outside. Second pet friendly outside. Third oh my word, the food was delicious!! I had the veggie karma with roti. The people who waited on us were so nice and prompted. We received our food quickly and had refiled our rice our rice and waters often. Parking was fine once we found the restaurant was in the hotel.

Gabriela B.

Yelp
Average Indian food. We got a veggie curry and there was way too much heavy cream. The naan was great.

Esther C.

Yelp
We're staying at the Evergreen and didn't want to go out so ordered takeout to eat in our room. It was ready in 25 minutes. Quite good, I ordered my chicken masala medium spicy and it was perfect. Delicious house made naan. My husband's order of momo was enough to feed an army and quite good. Courteous on phone and when we picked up the order.

Michael A.

Yelp
Great Nepalese / Indian place in vail. Food is delicious. I had a Nepalese chicken curry and a mango lassi. Super yummy

Yelp
Best kept affordable secret in Vail, food is amazing. I recommend the goat, it's amazing

Yelp
WOW. what a find in Vail. Exceptionally good Indian/Nepali food and they are set up to facilitate great takeout. we ordered from there twice and were not disappointed. had many things, but particularly liked the Chicken Tikka masala, the Channa masala, Baigan Bharta, Samosas, Chicken curry, Daal Makhani. I wasn't' a fan of the Chow Chow (vegetable noodles), so would pass on that next time. Pro tip: ski the mountain and call them when you are doing your last run and place your order. by the time you take off your boots, get to your car, the food will be ready. go home, get in the hot tub, and when you get out, you will have some tasty taste. Trust.

Yelp
Fantastic spot. Definitely worth the walk/drive to this spot. The food was really good and the service was great. Came from out of town and wanted something different and I am glad we found this place.

Yelp
The place was empty on a weeknight, which is too bad because the food was excellent and service very prompt and attentive. Went with a group of 5, we each ordered one dish and we had lots of leftovers as portions were hearty. Everything was excellent and very delicious. Would go there again and heartily recommend.

Yelp
Good service and great food. Om was our server. Highly recommended. Chicken Tandoori is me and my wife's favorite. Definitely will come back.

Yelp
Best traditional Indian food I've had in forever! I had the chicken masala, husband had the korma, and daughter had the Chana masala made vegan. All AMAZING. The samosas and plain naan were also fantastic. The bar menu offers a good variety, and service was fast and friendly. This place is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Yelp
We got a hot tea, chicken kebabs and chicken momo's. Food was warm and perfect on a cold snow day.
