What happened to this place? We were there a little before 2pm on 4/26/25. Seated quickly and thought everything would be great until the food came. My pancakes were so thick and tough I could barely swallow them. A gentleman (manager?) saw me looking around for our waitress and came over. Tried to tell me that's their regular pancakes even though I've had them before. He offered to have them remade but proceeded to take my whole plate away with my crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. By the time the replacement came my husband was done eating. The eggs were runny and the bacon was way undercooked in the middle and the ends were hard as rocks. The chocolate chips must have been an "oops I forgot" because they were just clumped in the middle of the pancakes. The eggs and bacon were so disgusting looking I had to put them on my husband's empty salad plate just so I could try to eat. They were not busy at all - usually you have to join a waitlist to get in. Should have been our first indicator. I've had a better breakfast at Denny's and my husband said for the price and what he got he preferred Culver's salad. With all the options around town; you would think they would've upped their game.

Google
Overall 1 because of just horrid the food was. The eggs on the eggs Benedict were way overcooked. The entire plate was not even luke warm, and the potatoes were rubbery, cold and tasted like they were definitely made an hour before I was served them. Couldn’t even finish my meal it was so unpleasant. Will not be returning or recommending

Google
Fabulous diner located in a busy shopping area. The decor was amazing, the service was excellent and the food was delicious! I drove down from Waterford to meet a Facebook friend of 10 plus years for the first time! We loved our breakfast at this bustling diner with patio seating and a lovely fountain area. Would definitely recommend this location!

Google
While the service and atmosphere were good, the food was absolutely atrocious. Every single item was off, and this was, by far, the worst brunch I’ve ever had in my life. The corned beef was dry, the hashbrown was completely tasteless, and the bread for the French toast wasn’t properly staled. Because of that, it couldn’t absorb any of the syrup or condensed milk, leaving the toast eggy and amateurish. Even the whipped cream on my hot chocolate tasted overly sweet and artificial, with none of the richness or flavor of real cream. Honestly, if you don’t know how to cook, maybe consider opening an insurance company instead of creating this culinary nightmare.

Lauren B was a wonderful/amazing server. Her customer skills were excellent! This was our first time and we would definitely return. It was the best tasting vegan food I have ever eaten.

Coming from Europe I sometimes struggle on my trips through the US when it comes to breakfast. Honestly this place was fantastic for me. Very delicious food. Clean, cozy restaurant. Friendly staff. Perfect.

Google
Everything was good here! The atmosphere is really cute, clean and inviting. The service was friendly and attentive. The food tasted FRESH and wholesome. Lots of vegan and gluten-free options. Great breakfast place worth a trip and many returns!

Google
The food and service were wonderful. We expected consistency because we have enjoyed Anna’s in Holland, Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor. However, on a heat advisory day with it being 91 degrees outside, the restaurant was unacceptably hot. Roller blinds were not working, or not present. There was no moving air in the restaurant and every employee was visibly red in the face. I can’t imagine how hot the kitchen is today. This is sincerely unacceptable. We enjoy the decor of the atmosphere, the kindness of the wait staff and the quality of food but all of us in the restaurant mentioned how hot it was. Please fix this for your patrons and most definitely for your quality team in Ann Arbor. June 24th- you asked me to submit an email in your response, so I did. Then the email was returned as that address is undeliverable.

Yelp
Great food, large selection of options. Service is usually good, even on busy days. I recommend for brunch

Yelp
Bright and cheery , several vegan and gluten free options, comfortable seating. We enjoyed our first visit.

Yelp
The food is fantastic, the price is worth how much you get. The inside is also super cute and has a fun vibe.

Yelp
This restaurant is awesome in every way. And it was conveniently located within a few miles of our hotel, Courtyard by Marriott. Our server was such a sweetheart, friendly and cheerful. Being a vegetarian, I really appreciated all of the vegetarian and vegan optiond (as well as meat for my omnivorous hubby) on the menu, including delicious, freshly squeezed juices. Yummy! They had some phenomenal juice combinations. I had a green juice which included multiple types of greens and ginger juice. My husband had an orange juice with some other juices as well. Both were delicious. I ordered a vegetarian scramble which was wonderful. And he ordered something on the specials menu, a spicy breakfast burrito and fruit bowl instead of potatoes. They were very flexible and eager to alter our meals in any way we needed or wished. The decor was seriously adorable, with a vintage kitchen theme. There were beautifully displayed, shiny silver toasters from nearly every era in one recessed section of a wall, and multiple-colored teapots in another recessed area. Very cute and still classy (vs junky). One of the things I enjoyed the most about the restaurant was the location and outdoor area, opposite the wall of booths where we sat on one side of the building. They had a lovely little patio and a pond with a beautiful water fountain and lots of pretty trees. It was landscaped with a bunch of different types of beautiful flowers. And... There were ducks and geese, including babies from both, taking naps right beside our window throughout our meal. I keep dried corn in my car to feed birds, so I went out to my car for a few minutes to grab those and, throw out some corn to them while we waited for our breakfast to come (only a 5 minute wait!) They gobbled it all up. it was highly entertaining to watch their cuteness and antics while we ate breakfast. Love this place! And I cannot wait to go back again if we ever return to Ann Arbor. Prices were very affordable as well. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
I want to like this place but they make it so hard. Always had good experiences at the Westland location and the West Bloomfield location (now closed) was a favorite of my late grandfather's. The hostesses at this location have some serious attitude, and not in a fun way. They weren't all that busy and we had joined the waitlist ahead of arriving. But they made us sit for a few minutes, and sat two different parties that arrived after us before they sat us in the back room which was stuffy and loud, with terrible acoustics. I have some health issues and have a tendency to get dehydrated and overheated due to medication I'm on, so we try to avoid environments that can exacerbate these problems. My partner went up to the hostess stand and asked politely if we could move because of how hot and loud the little room was. The hostess said no. That there weren't any other tables, despite there being many open and space at the bar. But she wouldn't lift a finger to be helpful or accommodating in any way. They didn't even acknowledge us when we left after paying for our meal. Food was mediocre today too. We both got seasonal items and found them disappointing. We've given this location many 'chances' to improve and it has only gone down. I will say, our Waiter, Adrian, was pleasant, and did his best to be helpful and service-oriented. He did have a lot of tables including several large groups. He did everything he could to improve our experience. Consider hiring some more polite and accommodating hosts. When you have the audacity to charge $6 for a mediocre latte, the least you can do is have polite and pleasant staff that don't make you feel like an inconvenience for asking to move tables for a health condition because your environment is not accommodating for people with health issues.

Yelp
Good menu variety, with many variations on the 'usual' choices. I had a Mediterranean Skillet as a special that had gyro meat, pita, veggies and potatoes...pretty good, but generally a smaller portion that I thought it would be. Too many potatoes and not enough peppers or broccoli. Wouldn't order again but it tasted good. The stuffed hashbrown appetizer was very good, and comes with a hollandaise sauce. My gf ordered a french toast dish with some fruit on it, and she enjoyed it but it also seemed like a smaller portion than some other restaurants would have.

Yelp
Had my hopes up from the reviews and pics, but it was pretty mid:/. The interior and exterior had a really chill vibe. Inside is like a retro but modern look? The service was slow but luckily we came after the brunch rush so once people started clearing out it went up to standard. Ordered the corned beef hash and a side of cheesy tatertots. Both were bland :(. I had to drench both in hot sauce and ketchup to taste something. Maybe it's what i ordered, but this place is definitely one of those you go for the vibes than the food.

Yelp
My favorites are the chicken sausage tater tot casserole (very filling) or the sweet potato brussel sprouts hash (amazing - lighter). Great service and hot drinks. Prefer this! Their house coffee is ok. We love the cinnamon roll too. Such a dependable breakfast plan.

Yelp
They were very busy on a Saturday, and it didn't feel as though they had enough servers for everyone. After being seated, we waited 10 min before our drink order was taken, which would have been fine if the check wasn't given to us 2 min after receiving our food. I ordered the Chicken N' Waffles, which had a fantastic piece of crispy chicken that was hot and well-seasoned. The waffle was a bit soggy and nothing to write home about. The maple crème was delicious and we decided went well with the sweet potato fries. The syrup that came with the waffles was a plain, fake, maple syrup and I wouldn't recommend it. My husband ordered the burger, which he loved and talked about in the drive home! All the veggies were crisp and cold, while the patties were screaming hot! The fries were super crispy and hot as well. The chai latte was the star of my meal and I'd definitely come back again to have another -- it was spicy, extremely hot and not too sweet. This is a loud place, not sure if it was just because it was Saturday or if it's always loud, but it was difficult to carry a conversation at a regular volume (and we were seated in the quite area). Bathrooms -- handicapped accessible (as was the entrance), but they were out of TP in two of the stalls and out of soap.

Yelp
I stopped by Anna's House for a breakfast and the spot was decent. I had the breakfast burrito and it came with sour cream, hash browns and two salsas. The salsas were decent, and the hash browns were your solid diner standard. The burrito could've done with some more flavor - perhaps chorizo and jalapeño rather than regular sausage and bell peppers - but overall it was a decent experience. Service was fast and friendly!

Yelp
This is the second time that I ate at this very unique spot. It's packed on Sun morning, for good reason. The decor is an entertaining, kitschy 50's vibe, complete with a counter for additional seating. I got us on the waitlist, which limited our wait time. The menu is extensive and accommodating to all preferences, including keto and vegan. We had: the Dublin omelette and the vegan big breakfast. Both were stellar. The BB was an enormous amount of food including: eggs, hash browns, toast, fab vegan sausage patties and yummy pancakes. I highly recommended this, as most places do not have many satisfying options. I'll be back to try all of the other unique offerings, especially the vegan ones.

Yelp
2nd Visit- tried again I love the ambiance and the root juice THATS ALL The 1st visit was in early AM WEEKDAY very few patrons - We ordered root juice which was great Ordered the Traditional Breakfast - eggs were cooked very hard, cold - potatoes were dry , crunchy, cold - I tried to put ketchup on them - pancake crunchy and cold I gave it another try today bcuz my husband really loved the root juice Yikes- same thing again. I told the waitress this time- She was nice , she brought me a new pancake which was fine and some fruit I told her both plates of potatoes are the same so I'm sure that's how they cook them period. She brought me more eggs that seemed like how eggs should be cooked She brought the final bill and didn't remove any of the food. I didn't eat from the bill $46 total No manager came by to inquire about the returned food to the kitchen. - there was no love in the preparation. There is no way I would of put any of this on a plate and served it It's a breakfast spot. - eggs and potatoes and pancake fail ? How hard is it to get that perfect

A diverse menu and really great service and staff! I love Anna's house because they have a ton of vegan options and gluten free items too! And great lattes

Yelp
My family recently had the pleasure of dining at Anna's House in Michigan. From the moment we stepped inside, we appreciated the restaurant's charming and unique interior decor. Unlike many other places that tend to follow a generic and bland style, Anna's House breathed fresh air into our dining adventure with its creative and inviting ambiance. Our first impression, as with any dining experience, was shaped by the hostess. While the warmth and friendliness we expected might have fallen slightly short compared to other establishments, I can't deny that our overall experience was not dampened. Moving past that initial encounter, our waitress quickly made up for it with her helpful and attentive service throughout our meal. Her genuine care and assistance added a positive touch to our dining adventure. Speaking of the food, Anna's House did not disappoint. I opted for "The Traditional" - a straightforward yet satisfying combination of eggs, bacon, potatoes, and pumpernickel toast. The flavors were exactly what I was hoping for, and it was clear that the kitchen takes pride in delivering quality dishes. The real stars of the show, however, were the kids' French toasts. Although meant to be shareable, my kids each ordered their own. And boy, were those portions generous! The French toasts were massive, topped with an indulgent amount of frosting, and served with what seemed to be the largest loaf of bread I've ever seen. The sweetness of these treats was absolutely delightful, and my kids couldn't get enough of them. In addition to the wonderful food, I was pleasantly surprised by the coffee. As a dedicated coffee lover, I appreciate unique and distinct flavors, and Anna's House certainly delivered in that department. The coffee had a special taste that stood out from the usual fare, making it a perfect companion to our meal. While the initial reception from the hostess might not have been as warm as anticipated, the overall experience at Anna's House more than made up for it. The welcoming ambiance, attentive service, delectable food, and standout coffee flavor combined to create an enjoyable dining adventure that my family and I will remember fondly. If you're looking for a place that breaks away from the mundane and treats your taste buds to something special, Anna's House is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Very good breakfast! Big menu and it all looked good. Had the bread pudding French toast. Not overly sweet, moist on the inside with a little crisp on the outside! Added a side of bacon and an Americano! Would definitely go back and try more!

Yelp
I visited Anna's House on Saturday, 5/13/23, around noon. Food: I decided to order the Wet Breakfast Burrito with Country Potatoes. The burrito packed a lot of flavor, especially with the sauce. The potatoes were basic. It could've used a little seasoning or had bell peppers/onions included. I also tried Anna's cinnamon roll. It was good but the roll was served cold. I'm not sure if it's because the kitchen was rushing and forgot to warm it up or that's just the way it's served here. I'm used to consuming warm cinnamon rolls anywhere I go. Service: The service was tolerable. The attentiveness could've been a bit better. The overall experience at Anna's House was fine.

Yelp
The vegan burrito was delicious. The potatoes needed to be cooked longer . The Root 66 Beet is a must have.

Yelp
This restaurant is huge inside! Do not be fooled by a line at the door. Staff is good at handling a brunch rush and will get you seated and served in a reasonable time. This restaurant has a great atmosphere and feels like you could go here with friends, family, or a date. I liked my entree but the appetizers here are next level. I loved the candied bacon and the cinnamon roll app is to die for. I returned here for the cinnamon roll alone.

Yelp
Amazing place! Food, service and ambience are all amazing ! Thank you one of the best spots in A2
google avatar

Yelp
The avocado toast is NOT avocado it is guacamole - read the menu closely! Also full of so many onions. The server however was lovely and just brought me actual avocado and a side of toast so this isn't totally a horrible review!
google avatar

Yelp
Love love love. Wish they were open more! Breakfast tostadas were fantastic. Kids loved their items. Cool decorations. Nice staff.

Yelp
Nice restaurant decor lively and upbeat. Really liked the tasty and fresh Monkey Bread with cinnamon/cream cheese! I ordered the Puff Pastry Croque Madam, lots of ham and the egg was perfect, just the puff pastry was all soggy and chewy. Too bad sounded like a great dish! My hash browns were also not warm and hot. The big breakfast was big but all around the Hash Browns were all cold. Maybe I should have tried the Breakfast Lasagna, oh well, maybe next time.

Yelp
I've been to several of Anna's House locations, and when I saw one was near my hotel, I decided to catch some breakfast here before I left to get back home. I came here right when they opened, and the foods awesome as ever. Reviewing the menu, the selection of items is still fabulous. I was hungry, but not starving. I opted for the French Toast, since I didn't want to take home any leftovers. The food came out and it was absolutely fabulous. My server was really helpful and friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. Thank you Anna's House, you're the best!

Yelp
Best Breakfast place in the Nation. We will be back next week!!! The service and food are great. You can have a great vegetarian experience too. We LOVE ANNA's!

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience here! Just got breakfast and everything was so delicious, I highly recommend. The have a menu key as well if you have any dietary restrictions, the list out some common ones. Our server was polite and friendly and another lady brought out our meals. Very cute establishment with fun decor. A great brunch option.

Yelp
Patrons might wish to be aware that this business elects to donate, in the business name, to Trump and his MAGA PAC. While it is the business's right to do so, patrons should be aware.

Yelp
What a delightful place!! I went there for a brunch on Saturday. I had breakfast burrito, and it was light and delicious. It has a view of the fountain in the business complex, and the atmosphere is lovely!!! Definitely will go there again!

Yelp
This was our first visit and it won't be our last. Nice ambiance with outside seating (we were inside). Open for breakfast and brunch I'd suggest sticking to those items. We started with the cinnamon roll which as advertised was suitable for sharing. If you like sweet you'll love this. We could have done with 1/4 of the icing. Perhaps ask for it on the side? We couldn't really taste the roll. My corned beef Bennie was outstanding. 5/5! The tater tot casserole was really tasty (upcharge as my side). Hubby had a Reuben and he gave it 3/5 but said the fries were really good. Service was awesome too.

M B.

Yelp
Service and ambiance were excellent. Omelette eggs seemed to be precooked and fillings added and then warmed to melt cheese.
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
Was on the waitlist for a party of 7 for two hours and when we got there at the designated time, we were told they could not accommodate 7 people. Said they didn't know if we had 6 or 7, which made no sense as we clearly out 7 on the help waitlist. We left and won't bother ever going there again.

Yelp
Amazing Easter brunch experience! The food was outstanding, and the service was even better. Even though they were super busy, everything was calm and very well run. Table had a couple of different French toasts and crepes. Fun decor and just an overall great feel that will keep us coming back!
google avatar

Bernadette N.

Yelp
Three times I've tried and one experience worse than the others. My last visit, which I thought was a basic breakfast of soft scrambled eggs, crispy bacon & toast. The scrambled eggs were cooked hard aka overcooked and bacon bent over when picked up thus under-crisped. As the food is delivered to the table by different staff than the person with whom you placed the order, the waitress never returned to ask if all was okay. I had to flag a random worker to inform and correct the order. Scrambled eggs were cooked correctly this time but bacon was now burnt. My toast was now cold and I was not eating anything at the same time as my family. Why didn't we just go to Afternoon Delight as usual where a local small business cares & is ALWAYS great.
google avatar

Andrea P.

Yelp
Cute decor but the breakfast tacos were so bland. There was nothing special about the food we ordered. First Watch down the road is amazing and our go-to spot now. I wanted to like this place because it's really close to us and very roomy but it's just bland.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
Great food, good service. Make a reservation online before you go there they are busy a lot.

Yelp
Hands down one of my favorite breakfast places in Ann Arbor. The portions are big, the staff is always friendly, and the place is so cozy and cute with so much attention to detail. I always get the cinnamon roll that feeds the whole table lol! and the options for coffee drinks are great. They'll come in huge cups as if they pulled them right out of their cupboard at their house! hahah I love the feel of this place! Tons of veggie or vegan options and healthy juices to choose from. You'll have no problem eating healthy here, OR you can opt for the cinnamon roll like me ;)

Kelli O.

Yelp
Excellent food. Cinnamon roll monkey bread is the best. Breakfast burrito was excellent.
google avatar

Gabriel M.

Yelp
Best breakfast ever, food and service is top notch. It's the place when we are in Ann Arbor.

JoAnne B.

Yelp
It has been a year since coming here. I am from Texas! When we come in for a visit , we make sure to swing by Anna's House! We called ahead. No waiting!!! Our server " Joshua" was phenomenal. We had a brand new baby and 2 toddlers. He was the most friendly, sweet and just a lovely human being! Food was fantastic too! We had 2 gluten free people on our group. The place was clean , everyone there looked happy, everyone leaving looked happy and well fed! I absolutely love this place! We will go back again this visit!

Vipin R.

Yelp
Great service and vibe. Interiors are very nicely decorated. Food was just ok. There are many other better brunch options in the area.
google avatar

Barbara G.

Yelp
The food is delicious and the portions are BIG! I love that they offer vegan dishes as I try to follow a vegan/vegetarian diet. The staff is also very courteous.

Yelp
Update!!!!!! First I really need to shout out Jake the manager. This guy is just so kind and really knows what great customer service is. Not only did he remember who I was, but when I came to get my food he came out to meet me and bring my food to me. I ordered the same thing take out, Chicken and waffles, scrambled eggs with cheese. The presentation was completely different and so was the food quality. The eggs were so fluffy and cheesy, the waffle just melted in your mouth and the crispy chicken breast with all the flavors just made sense. This food was so delicious I am always so delighted when I can update my reviews for the better, any restaurant can have a bad day it's all in how you rectify it. Go try this place, you will not regret it.

Autumn P.

Yelp
Do not use wait-list. Arrived being 3rd line when pulling into parking lot. Walked in couple in front of me, they were moved ahead on the list before my spot. Yelp app shows where you are on the list with time you are required to be there and how long your wait is... The excuse... It's graduation week so the app doesn't account for you checking in online.

H L.

Yelp
It was great. Tasty breakfasts and smoothies. The reservations and wait time runs smoothly if you just reserve a table online so do that.

Laura J.

Yelp
The food is delicious and service is great. I have been here twice and have not been disappointed! Lots of GF (and vegan) options!
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
I can see why this place is always packed! Note there are 2 locations so when you use Yelp to add your name to the waitlist, be sure it's the right one. The southwest Benedict, chicken & waffles with maple cream was sooo yummy! They had a winter twilight latte that was a vanilla crème brûlée flavor and fresh squeezed OJ too. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is beach vintage and so cute!

Deidra S.

Yelp
We waited for almost an hour past our expected time to be seated, and so we ended up leaving. I would like to try it sometime when it's less busy.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Upscale breakfast place with fun vibes. Love the Chicken Sausage Tater Tot casserole. Sometimes crowded, but worth it for an excellent breakfast.

Cheyenne M.

Yelp
Tried the breakfast burrito with hash browns. The hash browns were amazing, but the burrito was a little cold but still tasty. I just don't think I'd get it again. The service is always nice and the place is super busy on the weekends. Plan ahead!!! It is nice that you can put your name down on a wait list online :)

Lauren J.

Yelp
Many vegan brunch options and allergy friendly. Friendly service. Great chai. We like using the online wait list

Yelp
Even though I was an Ann Arbor resident for six years, this was my first time at Anna's House. The restaurant was packed this Saturday noon filled with lots of hungry locals and families in the area for the 2020 graduation. My friend and I had to wait about 45 minutes (yay for Yelp waitlist!) before we were able to get a seat. The pastel colors and decorations gave the restaurant a brighter vibe, which was nice. Our server was really nice and checked in on us often. CHOCOLATE QUINOA BREAKFAST BOWL - 13.50 An extremely aesthetic presentation. It did not taste nearly as good as it looked, but that's OK, I guess. I am not a huge sweet tooth, so this was perfect for me! I got the side of steamed oat milk which made the quinoa less dry and more enjoyable like cereal. The dark chocolate drizzle was a nice touch - not overpowering and definitely more on the subtle side. I also really enjoyed the generous amount of fresh fruit - the blueberries and strawberries made it more juicy and tart. The coconut flakes gave it a nice nutty and crunchy taste after every bite. Loved the walnuts and pecans! I'm not vegan nor vegetarian, but thought this was a tasty option. Overall, thought the quinoa was pretty bland and I've definitely had better. I probably wouldn't get what I got again, but it was definitely a light/healthy option that was pretty filling. If I come back, I'll definitely give one of their SAVORY FAVORITES a try.
