Interview Collection: Restaurant Anniversaries | Eater Boston

"On its 20th “Anna-versary,” Anna’s Taqueria marked the milestone across its six locations with Fan Appreciation Day promotions—beverage samples, buy-one-get-one-free tacos, complimentary chips and salsa, giveaways, live entertainment—and pledged to donate one dollar to ReVision Urban Farm for every burrito sold that day." - Eater Staff

If this place is still open in a year I'll be shocked. I visited several months ago when they first opened and the service was a total wreck. Confusion, double charges, language issues and really questionable portion control. I didn't leave a review then out of respect for the difficulty opening a new store on a busy college campus. I'm back today and it's more of the same, though this time school is on winter break so there's no rush to blame. I ordered a carnitas burrito using the kiosk. Immediately a staff member informed me they were out of carnitas. I asked for a refund. After a quick exchange (in Spanish) between the staff and a manager, they were suddenly not out of carnitas. They made my burrito on the spot. It was fine, but not particularly warm or flavorful. I won't theorize about what the conversation was that led to the discovery of carnitas, but you are more than welcome to! Bottom line - walk 2 blocks down the street and go to Mamacita. It's slightly more expensive, but worth every penny.

We had 45 minutes to grab a quick lunch in between touring colleges. The kiosk, I guess, twisted our orders around. The receipt in our email is correct, but it did not reflect what was on their slip. The girl argued with me telling me I had to take the food. I told her I don’t eat any of the things in there and that I wanted a refund, which she refused. Another woman came over and said she would remake it. 15 minutes later the new tacos came out with absolutely no flavor and pink chicken. I ate a couple bites of mozzarella cheese off the top and took a walk to find a restaurant that sells edible food that customers actually order. Also, all the tables were filthy, but someone cleaned a couple when I asked. Ultimately, I went off to our second appointment without any lunch, $50 poorer.

Their fresh juices were so good! My daughter was feeling a little under the weather and this is our usual go-to place when we're at the MFA, so I asked about their juices, tried both, so nice! Got a burrito and split it, extremely yummy and good value.

Food was good, Tried first time. Service is something they can make better especially in terms of customer experience, Maybe being a bit polite with customers. Atmosphere was definitely something needs to be worked on, While the place was clean and good music it was hot inside, No AC with outside temp being 84. I wish to have a better experience with the store next time I walk in. Thanks and Cheers team.

Place has gone bad since I went a few months ago when it first opened. Overrpriced and unauthentic food. One guy in particular is just a really bad employee. Has no burrito making knowledge or has really improved since I last saw him working because he messed up wrapping my burrito so bad the other employee had to tell this oblivious man to remake it. Obviously they cannot find better employees if they are willing to keep such inept workers around. Until they find new management and employees, this location is off my radar. Food is mediocre.

This place was fast and the food was good. I think the atmosphere was interesting but the over all place was clean and the food was tasty. I would go there again.

They wet your tortilla or something before they make your burrito? The tortilla was literally soaking wet when they pulled it out of their device. I paid $16 somehow for a burrito worse than any Chipotle I've ever been to.

The food was alright but I am just baffled that you have to pay extra to get CORN, CHEESE, SOURCREAM. Which honestly ruined the experience for me charging extra for something that should come with what I am already paying for. I was excited to try the place but its cheap prices don't really matter when you cant add stuff that are standard total for my bowl for adding stuff that it should have included ended up being 15$ for a bowl whos original price was around 10$ INSANE and just trying to charge more when there is no extra value added.
