Friendly service. The wine recommendations were good. Nice loungey atmosphere. Everything was well presented. My biggest disappointment was the seafood salad where the only seafood was mussels. The beef tartare was delicious. Avonlea is a cheese apparently, wish that was clarified on the menu. The moelleux/sticky pudding dessert was delicious. A little bit like a Christmas cake because of the cranberries but otherwise perfect, especially with the pecans.

Bar vibe with DJ music, service is ok in general, decor is modern and clean but tight spaces between tables so not much personal space and waiter and waitress need to walk behind you between tables at times and they constantly touched or moved the customer coats that hangs behind the seat. Could get annoying at times. Food wise was very good! We particularly liked the fried maitake mushroom, the Taramosalata, the Beef and the Trout! The Tuna and the tomatoes is doesn’t stand out as good as the other dishes , it’s still ok but is overshadowed by the other dishes. Seems we like dishes from group 1 and group 3 more than in group 2. We ordered a la carte instead of the discovery as we normally doesn’t eat dessert much so it’s a better deal for us and we order more food in group 1. Is another must try restaurant in my opinion

We looked forward to my husband's birthday dinner here. The service started off really well and we were happy to be sat at the chef’s counter. However, it seemed like we were forgotten in the area, as our server seemed to also be the expediter. We saw our dessert sit on the counter for about 10mins before being brought to us as nobody was around to serve us. On the reservation I requested a birthday candle, and it was only brought once we were already paying, which seemed like an afterthought.

I went to Annette for a Christmas party with a group, so I will say upfront that it might not reflect the typical experience since the restaurant was hosting several groups that evening. We had a special group menu with plates to share. The food quality was genuinely good. Everything we tasted was well prepared and flavorful. That said, for the price per person, I was honestly expecting more generous portions. The shared plates were very small, sometimes just a few bites each, which felt a bit disappointing considering that drinks and wine were not included in the set price. On the positive side, the atmosphere was lively and pleasant, and the service was very friendly despite how busy it was. They also have an impressive wine selection with what feels like hundreds of options, which is definitely a strong point. Overall, a good experience, but I would be curious to try it on a regular night to get a better sense of it.

Hightly recommend this michelin bar restaurant!! It was so impressive for me to try the discovery menu with only $80! Definitely will go try more dishes and deserts next time in Montreal. 😍

Fantastic service, they let us bring the dog to the patio and it was a lovely meal outside. We had the set course and the staff were lovely to chat with and we had a great meal. The food was delicious, with fresh, in season ingredients. They also had great wine suggestions to pair!

We discovered this charming local restaurant during our stay in Montréal. It is a very nice place with amazing food and excellent French service. We had a fantastic time there.

Overall: A // 5 stars Cozy restaurant with a kitchenside bar, focusing on farm to table small plates centered around clever usage of vegetables to make stunning dishes. I found the cuisine to be vibrant and healthful, with bright and energizing flavors that were well executed overall. The staff are knowledgable about the menu and dish conception, and generally pleasant and friendly to converse with. (Jacqual: B) - Simply presented drink that features hibiscus and citrus with zero proof beer, which I found fascinating. The beer notes are in the background prevailed by the sourness of the other components, where I wish there was a little more added sweetness. (Fried Maitake: A) - Perfectly seasoned dish with tender and high surface area mushrooms coated in an impressly crisp batter given the moisture usually found in mushrooms. The seasoning could not be better with the salt and spice combo; the chive and parsley mayo also add an herbaceous depth of flavor. (Heirloom Tomatoes: A) - Pefectly plated tomatoes with a surprising sunflower seed forward profile given the subtleness of the ingredient; the dish is well balanced and brings out the harmonious flavors of the garden, although I think the bites with flake salt had that even more perfect note. (Hanger Steak: A+) - Beautifully perfected cut of beef with Asian inspiration; the steak is juicily pink with a charred exterior; the carrot ginger puree has a lovely mild and lingering spice, with some additional spice coming from the shishito and the pickled jalapeno. Beautiful dish. (Peach Sorbet: C) - Flavorally pleasant dessert with peach three ways and a nut crumble to add crunch; the sorbet was very hard though and could have benefitted from spirits in the churning process. Très jolie terasse avec Le menu est petit, quelques amuse gueules, une dizaine d entrés et de plats principale mais tous excellent. J'ai commencé avec les champignons Maitake frit et la mayo herbacée c'est excellent j'aime bien la texture et le goût. J'ai ensuite prit le tartare de boeuf avonlea un mixte parfait bien relevé et original. En fin sur une note plus légère les pétoncles cru avec concombre et aneth. Les 3 services riches en saveurs et très bien présentés. Excellent services

I've found my favorite brunch spot ever--though sadly it's in Montréal, far from home! Everything was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. I started with a flat white and beef tartare, which practically melted in my mouth. The flat white was so good I had to order a second. For mains, I went with the trout and steak & eggs--both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and made with locally sourced ingredients. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was charming, with lively plants adding a cozy touch. I'll be back in a heartbeat.

This restaurant made me LOVE vegetarians. FOOD was completely edible. they plated with so much finesse joe would even be proud. very good meal overall but i got food poisoned 5 stars still.
