A sleek, small-format spot built around two things done well: dan dan noodles and customizable rice bowls. New Haven Register highlighted its house-brewed milk tea and homemade peanut candy, plus an owner-cook on the line daily.

It’s definitely a great place for a to-go lunch or dinner. I love their dandan noodles with special homemade chili oil, veggie, and meat, super tasty and savory! The new black tea lemonade and the matcha latte with milk foam on top is also a must-try. Highly recommend!

For those who appreciate fresh premium ingredients, the Asian beef bowl with high-quality ribeye is a must try. Generous portions and a surprisingly reasonable price for today’s economy. Served atop a bed of fluffy steamed rice and accompanied by crisp, vibrant vegetables, the bowl is both satisfying and well-balanced. I will definitely come back next time to this newly opened restaurant.

Stopped in for a quick lunch, got the teriyaki chicken rice bowl and it was great (chicken was cooked well/flavorful, greens were fresh and rice was perfect). Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be back!

The proteins are cooked very nicely. The salmon and beef we had were delicious. However the Dan Dan noodles appear to be using American spaghetti and really should use authentic “pole noodle.” as people who love Dan Dan noodles, we were really excited when we saw this new business open and we’re quite disappointed that there was no option for authentic pork Dandan noodles and we ordered medium spicy and found it to be extremely mild. The sauce on the rice bowl appear to be package Asian sauces and not made directly at the business. My wife is very sensitive to MSG and we’re pretty sure some of the sauces in the rice bowl had MSG in them.. overall, I think the food is very well priced and the concept is strong and I think the business can thrive, but they really need to hunker down and perfect their own sauces as well as start using authentic Dan Dan noodles either homemade themselves or sourced from a good supplier.

Thank you Annie for truly delicious food that did not break the bank in this economy. I work within walking distance and had decided to give Annie's a try. For $12 I had the DanDan noodles and boy did they not disappoint! Great portion size, well-seasoned and the woman working was so incredibly friendly. Highly recommend people give this place a try!

Delicious Matcha😍😍 The cold foam tasted naturally made it was surprisingly so good my favorite. The dandan noodles had a very good flavor but was just a little dry, if there was more sauce or oil it would have been PERFECT. Please take my advice and you’ll be 5 stars!

The beef bowl with Kimchi was out of this world amazing. There was a mustard/mayo sauce, fresh veggies, leafy greens, and spicy, tangy kimchi. Unbelievable. I wish I lived closer - I would come all the time! Prices were generous for the portion size. One thing I look for in restaurants is how clean the bathrooms are - to judge kitchen cleanliness - and they were spotless which gave me a lot of faith in their overall cleanliness. A++

Yelp
Amazing food, service, AND ambiance. The building is clean and simple with seating available in doors, and bathrooms available for customers. Service is quick and what you might expect. The front counter person has always been friendly and inviting when I go in, usually around lunchtime during the week. If I don't order ahead, I know I'll need to sit down for 5-10 minutes while it's freshly prepared. Once done, the Chef will bring it out to you. Very nice guy, with an amazing skill to be making these beautiful dishes. The food is downright delicious - I highly recommend the seaweed salad salmon rice bowl. Salmon with tons of fresh veggies, edamame, covered in a teriyaki drizzle. I add sushi sauce to mine as well, but that's personal preference. The dishes look as good as they taste - the red and yellow bell peppers pop with the green background of the seaweed salad. In the past, I have had one experience where the food was not too good - dry noodles and a few pieces of chicken in a peanut sauce - but I've since stuck with my salmon bowl and have always received amazing food with that. I think my mess up with the noodle bowl was with communicating what I wanted - so now I try to be extremely clear when ordering or order one of the menu items that come listed with all the veggies.
