Google
Relaxed Greek cafe around the River Oaks area - I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for a chill place to study Food: I tried their flat white and it was awesome! Great coffee flavor with a cute latte art Service: friendly and attentive. Atmosphere: bright, airy and modern interior with an attached covered parking. While it can get busy around lunchtime, there was a bar area if you were looking to study.

My breakfast platter and tea were amazing. However, my husband was very disappointed with the chicken and waffles. (Hence the 3 stars) He said the chicken was hard and dry. On the positive side, the service was quick, and the staff was polite. We will try again, but we won't be ordering the chicken and waffles next time.

Google
Outstanding service - like seriously some of the best service ever. Breads were great but I can't say enough about the atmosphere and people. Greta place for a treat, sandwich or coffee.

Google
Lovely place, very clean, and organized. Fresh flowers and li e plants. Desserts are delicious and beautiful. I enjoyed an Amaretto latte and a slice of their famous Katina's Ekmeck Kataifi.

Google
I almost don’t want to post a review because I want to keep this place a secret! It’s a bright, super clean place. They offer a variety of dishes, most of them straight up Greek or with a twist. I wasn’t hungry so I ordered the Breakfast Croissant, a lemon meringue tart and a Latte. Everything was delicious.

Google
Awesome coffee spot. Very neat atmosphere - nice interior design. Coffee tastes good and the dessert was delicious! Had the ferrero mousse. Also plus points for convenient, covered parking (without valet!)

Google
Diverted here at the last minute when traffic wouldn't cooperate with our original destination, and we were glad we did. We each ordered cheese burgers and fries, along with a Dirty Chai (Chai with an Espresso shot) and a Caramel Macchiato. The drinks were especially good, and the burgers were very filling and served on a soft brioche bun. Fries are usually my least favorite part, but these were crisp and perfectly salted.

Google
First time visiting for breakfast. We had the “Villager” and the breakfast croissant, hot chocolate and americano coffee. Very good taste and presentation. Loved it. Friendly staff, quick service. We did not have any of the pastries but they are very appealing work of art. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back to try the other entries!

Yelp
Still one of my favorite coffee shops in the Houston area. Anonymous is tucked away in a quiet corner on Kirby amidst the busy street and high rise buildings. Although the exterior is clean and simple, the interior exudes modern European flair and the aromas of coffee and fresh baked goods. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the space is warm and refreshing with each table adorned with vases of fresh flowers. It's also heartwarming to see the couple who owns Anonymous working behind the counter and talking to customers because you can tell how much love and effort they put into their passion. It can get busy on weekends with the crowd lingering to converse while sipping on coffee and having a bite. There are a few chairs and tables outside that usually are not occupied. Yes, the space is small, but its also cozy and a great place to catch up with friends or enjoy a quiet cup of coffee and/or breakfast alone. There's ample covered parking conveniently located right next door. Although Anonymous also offer brunch and light lunch items, I go here just for the desserts. Just the display alone can make your mouth water and your heart melt. There are probably over ten flavors of pound cakes and who knows how many rotating desserts and pastries weekly. One of my favorites is Katina's Ekmeck Kaitaifi, a rich vanilla custard on a bed of shredded phyllo topped with crunchy toasted almonds and fluffy whipped cream. This dessert goes perfectly by itself or with a cup of coffee. Their coffee are slightly strong and at times a little bitter for my taste so pairing it with a dessert is the perfect complement. Occasionally, I will also try one of the many flavors of pound cake. The pound cakes are usually moist and soft. If I didn't live so far, I would lounge here and try a different dessert everyday.

Yelp
I absolutely love the food here! The salads and sandwiches are incredibly fresh and flavorful. Having parking right next to the restaurant is so convenient, too! The service is great, and the owner is often around, making sure everything is just right. Their selection of pastries and loaves is amazing--it's tough to choose just one! The only thing I didn't enjoy was the lemon-flavored chicken soup; it wasn't for me. But overall, this is a wonderful spot to sit, enjoy your food and coffee, and even get some work done. The staff is super friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
Came in for the first time at this Greek cafe for early dinner with a friend and her kiddo. Cute place, good food, and even better customer service. The place is kind of hidden as it is not in a main road. The restaurant offers garage parking that is shared by a big office building, but there's also street parking available. As we walked in first thing I noticed was that the place seemed bigger outside, but wasn't really an issue as there were plenty of seating available for us. The decor is nice and modern, and the place has a nice laid back but intimate vibe. You order at the counter next to the display of delicious pastries and they bring the food out when its ready. I got the Greek sandwich and my wife got the combo salad that came with salad, dolmades, hummus tzatziki and pita. The sandwich was delicious and tasted fresh and my wife said she enjoyed the variety on her plate. We also got an ekmek to go and that was very delicious. They also serve illy coffee, and the espresso drinks at the table next to us all looked good! We stayed a little bit at the cafe to chit chat and I have to mention the amazing customer service. It definitely felt like a local mom and pop place. Everyone wanted to say hello to the kids in our table and even chatted with us a while - this is just the type of place you want to keep coming back to because of the customer service! Overall, glad to have found this place. We will definitely be back for breakfast or lunch!

Yelp
Had a wonderful time here. Lovely service and well prepared and portioned Greek and American dishes (very photogenic!), at very reasonable prices.

Shveta A.

Yelp
The chicken and waffles are also amazing!!! With the perfectly textured waffle adding sweetness to the succulent chicken and cheese.

Daisy P.

Yelp
Stopped by to study a bit and it was a nice spot! Staff were very friendly & helped with coffee options. The location is great and has space if you're looking to grab a bite & study. The coffee is strong. I ordered a shaken cappuccino where the milk instead of foam and hot it was shaken and iced. I prefer iced and noticed this makes the cappuccino creamy on iced form I liked it! It may be an acquired taste as it was bitter even with adding honey The desserts are amazing!

Amanda G.

Yelp
One of my favorite tucked away spots in all of Houston. When Roadster Grill and their subsequent now also defunct eatery closed, I was back on the hunt for somewhere that had Avgolemano (orzo lemon chicken soup - AKA Greek penicillin). I stumbled on Anonymous and haven't looked back. I went for the soup and stayed for everything else. It is a bit tucked away, on the ground floor of an office building. Parking in the garage is free and it's easy to get to. It's not super huge, but it's very bright, light, airy, with a decent amount of seating, and well kept. The food is super fresh and the daily specials are always a great choice. Mrs Patricia is an absolute wizard, and everything she puts on that menu is fantastic. Her and her husband are the owners and are super nice people. The coffee is always great (they use illy) and they make a mean Greek coffee when the supplies are available, otherwise, I'm a big fan of the cortado. Their desserts are kind of to die for, don't say I didn't warn you. If money was no object, I would eat here way more often than I currently do. I would not say that they're overpriced, I would say that they are very fairly priced for the quality of food that you get, but it's definitely not an everyday thing. Probably doesn't help that I am typically inclined to order a beverage, a meal, and dessert though. did I mention everything is good?

Samantha D.

Yelp
To say I am obsessed is an understatement (I went 3 times in 2 weeks)! I had family visiting and we wanted to find a place that served Illy coffee so of course I used Yelp and found this gem. First off, they have free parking which is always nice. It is a small cafe so get there early to secure a table. The mocha latte was delicious with pretty cool designs. I also had the Breakfast Croissant (applewood bacon, sliced turkey, scrambled eggs, tomato, lettuce, sharp white cheddar cheese and cream cheese) and the Gourmet Rice Pudding (baklava pieces, dried cherries and apricots dipped in Amaretto). Last but not least, their croissants are really good as well!

Ann S.

Yelp
I got the cafe latte with no syrup added. They use the Italian coffee, illy. It was really good without any form of sugar. No bitterness. I also like the artwork. Very cute! The women's restroom is super cute! The overall cafe looks elegant. I didn't pay attention to if there were any power outlets but a few people did use a laptop while there. It gets busy in the afternoon then slows down. I will need to return back to try their baked goods.

Gustavo R.

Yelp
Anonymous Cafe presents itself as a chill, intimate hub offering a blend of Greek and American fare, along with Italian coffee and pastries. Parfait: 8/10 * This parfait is solid--fully loaded with all the essentials, much like Herbie. It's exactly what you'd expect from a good parfait. Freddie Espresso: 7.34/10 * Pros: I asked for something strong, and the owner gave me a thumbs up. They delivered on that promise with a potent espresso. You can choose to have it sweetened, unsweetened, or semi-sweet. I went with unsweetened--great flavor, but be prepared for a serious caffeine kick. * It's SUPER caffeinated, so if you're not used to that, it might be a bit much. Pork Gyro Pita Wrap: 7.7/10 * Pros: Different meat options are available, but the pork was a standout--perfectly seasoned and dressed. It made for a hearty, satisfying wrap. Spanakopita: 6.4/10 * Pros: Large, flaky, and packed with flavor. * WARNING: Be careful--if you dig in too soon, you'll burn your mouth. It's almost too flaky, struggling to hold its form, but somehow the phylo manages to stay intact. Dessert: 5/10 * The dessert was a letdown--wet and overly soggy, like a baklava drowned in syrup. Not what you'd hope for. Anonymous Cafe has some great strengths, especially if you're in the mood for strong coffee or a well-seasoned gyro. Just be cautious with the dessert, which might not live up to the rest of the menu. *They do have a variety of loafs we didn't get to try... those looked good.

Yelp
Heard the desserts here were good, so came by and got the kaitaifi. It was about $9 for a big piece. Had never tried this dessert before, but loved all the layers of it, buttery and tasty! Definitely recommended trying it out.

Maria S.

Yelp
This was my first time at the Café. There is free covered parking. You order at the counter. While I waited for my friends, I ordered a cortado coffee. It's really good quality. Once my friends arrived, we ordered food. I ordered half-dozen dolmades. When they were brought to me, I immediately recognized they come from a can. I was highly disappointed to have paid $6.50 for six canned stuffed grape leaves, especially coming from a Greek place. My friends seemed to enjoy their coffees, food, and desserts. I would probably go back for dessert and coffee. I can buy great canned dolmades at TJs.

L H.

Yelp
Drinks were good! Limited seating options in store, but very comfy. Good place to work for a couple hours. Convenient location for where we were staying.

Genille R.

Yelp
Had coffee with a friend at this cafe today, and I highly recommend. We ordered the dirty chai latte, espresso, breakfast tacos, and the vanilla cinnamon cake. Everything was delicious. The barista was an amazing artist. We were mesmerized by his creativity. I purchased the strawberry cake, and another slice of vanilla cake to go because it was so good. The service was quick. The location itself is small, but it's very clean and cozy. Parking is located in garage next door.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years since they were located in Sugar Creek many years ago. Love this mom and pop cafe which provides really fresh sandwiches, quiches, and delicious desserts. Come and check it out yourself and you won't be disappointed. One of my favorite desserts is their Eckmeck which is their specialty.

Moriah H.

Yelp
Fairly priced coffee and pound cake. Parking in this complex is very easy with how much street parking there is. I ordered the marbled pound cake and it was like eating a cloud - amazing!! Such an underrated restaurant. Don't sleep on this one and check out Anonymous today.

Alfredo C.

Yelp
Delicious as usual. They did not have Moussaka today so we got two different sandwiches one club sandwich and one Greek sandwich.

Robert A.

Yelp
Hidden gem. Good portions at a decent price for the area. Very friendly staff and the food came out quickly. Not much traffic on the street so ok to sit outside when it's not so hot

Jess C.

Yelp
If I could put a 0 star I would. If you go here I would be careful with the owner he's very unprofessional and rude and I don't know how someone like that is currently still in business disgusting behavior. My friend and I sat outside of the cafe to do some studying and we had literally just got there I believe not even 5 minutes of us sitting there talking the owner comes up to us saying that we can't sit there if we don't buy anything. ( keep in mind we just got there and I was eventually planning on getting something ) When he told us to leave he went inside and came back out repeating " get your stuff and go right now this is private property " AFTER we were already LEAVING and had our stuff packed. I mentioned that we were eventually going to get something but we had just sat down and he completely disregarded it and said leave right now. He kept coming outside to us and as we were leaving he was saying that he owns the " VISITOR PARKING " & that it's private property when clear it says VISITOR PARKING. he started recording us since I was recording the incident for my own safety and because he was being absolutely rude with the way that he handled the whole situation & I just wish he would have politely asked us from the beginning and handled be situation so much better, As an " OWNER " of the store for future references I would learn how to treat people with respect.

Yelp
What a cute shop! We came early in the morning and ordered the breakfast croissant, a kiddies milk and a Greek frappe. Service was fast, the shop is small but a good size for several tables. We ordered in the front. The breakfast croissant was very good, and the Greek frappe has no dairy which is an excellent option! It's whipped coffee and has a nice caffeinated taste. They have milk in a kiddie cup which is super cute. Definitely a great cafe. There is free parking in the attached garage.

Natalya R.

Yelp
I came here with my friend for a coffee stop, and we stayed for a few hours as this spot was comfortable and cozy to chat with your friends, do school work, or simply hang out. Before coming here, I had already had a late lunch with my friend, so we didn't get to order their food options other than coffee and desserts. But if you are hungry, this place has plenty of food selections. I'll check out their food options next time I come by here again. I recommend this place to anybody who wants a relaxing spot for food, drinks, and a vibe. The staff are super friendly and do their job great!

James L.

Yelp
This is my 23rd visit. I love this place. I showed up right before closing. They fired up the grill and made the best Chicken Souvlaki plate I have ever had. Their food is always consistently good and of high quality. I will be back!

Sarah K.

Yelp
Cute little Greek cafe! I was craving a strong Freddo iced coffee and Anonymous hit the spot. The breakfast item was good, but I think the standout items are the desserts. I would prefer to come here for a cup of coffee and a dessert, rather than a meal because the desserts are top tier. I do think it is a little pricey, but because everything tastes so fresh you do get what you pay for. Overall, definitely see myself coming back if I want a taste of Greece again!

Nina T.

Yelp
Coffee shop check-in, we're back! I really want to rave about this location, unfortunately my order couldn't reflect this admiration that most seem to have. Parking is limited on the street but there is a visitor specific covered garage right across. That's nice, especially for the majority hot days in town. I ordered to go in a bright weekday morning: - a piece of marble cake : Served warm in a transparent plastic container. Very thick portion, sparkled with salt. The chocolate part tasted close to a brownie. A little too sweet for me. - a chocolate croissant : I saw it on display at first. It looked a bit pale but don't know until you try, correct? Bread was there with two pieces of chocolate. It came out warm but still super flat and too buttery. I didn't get to ask whether this was made in house. Where's the flaky croissant? None. This was a disappointing and sad pastry. I believe the managers/owners are the ones who came out of the kitchen to receive a delivery. They bumped into me on the way but no acknowledgement nor excuse. Odd attitude. Is it how the employees would like to reflect their business...? Now, I believe that a business should be able to convey it's quality all throughout, whether it's food, or employee attitude. This time, none were met. Left me bitter. I hope for a better time next time but I don't think that'll be anytime soon.

Lorraine I.

Yelp
Service is fantastic super friendly I saw tons of their regulars And they know each other very well Seems like a family business not sure about it The latte is good and very pretty The croissant was not good Has a super weird taste like lamb cheese I don't like it at all. The vibe is great and lovely.

Carol S.

Yelp
What a special gem virtually hidden from sight. My first time here and I was fortunate enough to encounter the owner who kindly led me to the front door. I am not likely to forget the location in the future as it was so quaint, intimate and special. The atmosphere is charming, staff are so kind and the food is exquisite! I had the soup of the day which was incredible along with fresh pita bread. First time ever trying greek wine, again it was perfection. I saved room for dessert and am so glad I did. I chose a dark chocolate Rochere cake with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate ganache. Every bite was amazing!! Seems they do a big take out business too which I would highly recommend! Reasonable prices for very special, fresh, quality food. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Steve K.

Yelp
This is a small cafe that serves really good Mediterranean style food. It's clean, the staff are very welcoming, and a nice place to hang out. But it's small. And there is no guarantee you will get a seat. Spin the wheel- it's worth it. I had the spinach quiche which was a generous portion and delicious. It came with three cup sized choices of soup- I got the lentil because I like lentils and it packs a lot of protein. Also it was a way generous portion for a cup- it's really a largish bowl- and tasted great. They have a couple cabinets of sweet breads and other desserts. I had to test the thick square of baklava. Like Arnold said, I'll be back! To try more.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
The best coffee art and coffee in houston #iLLLy Italian coffee Just had chicken souvlaki wrap which was also delicious French fries crispy.

Brett N.

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because everything here is high quality. --- --- --- I have had Anonymous Cafe bookmarked for a while now and am so happy I finally got to stop in. My mom and I were eating lunch at a restaurant right across the street. My wife happened to be running errands nearby and decided to join us, but we had pretty much finished eating by the time she arrived. She wanted to eat elsewhere and I wanted coffee/dessert, so we all decided to walk over to Anonymous Cafe where we could accomplish both. I ordered a nitro, and for the first time out of the thousands of times I've ordered a nitro, it was served to me in a glass. I don't know why, but this magically made it taste better. For dessert, we ordered a baklava, which was brought out with some incredibly fancy plating. We wondered why it was taking them so long, but we came to understand that they don't just pop it on a plate and hand it to you. There's whipped cream dollops, cinnamon and even a flower, all very artistically placed on the plate. As for the taste, it was on the richer side, so it maybe was a bit much, but still quite delicious. We also ordered a pumpkin cream cheese slice and that made me see God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. If I could eat this every day, I would need lap-band surgery but I'd be eternally happy. I see why Anonymous Cafe is so highly rated and I would not hesitate to come back in here during future Houston exploring!

Andrea M.

Yelp
Being new to town, I was excited to have found this place on Yelp. I guess I had high expectations before I arrived here. The Greek "frappe," pork pita souvlaki wrap, and side of fries were all so so. There's really nothing super distinctive or wowing worth calling out other than it being super average imo. I've had better for much less of the cost. There's something about the employee interaction at this place that's off to me. Oh there's also the sneaky upgrading and surcharge that I don't appreciate that a business does to make a few bucks. The Greek "frappe" was okay. It gave me a caffeine kick, but it was rather plain than what I would imagine it to be. I didn't expect a frappe drink to be just an iced drink. And what makes it Greek anyway?! The pita souvlaki wrap was just so so. There was nothing really unique about it. The pork tenderloin was pretty flavorful, but it came in such large, chunky balls. The fries were pretty tasty with a nice crisp; it was an okay portion size.

Mary G.

Yelp
Fine when I'm in the area and want a tea I've seen the Cafe several times and today thought it's the perfect day to stop in. It was pleasant enough, but not particularly exciting or noteworthy in my opinion. Parking: There's plenty of visitor parking on the first floor of the parking garage. I came around 11am and had no problem getting a spot. There's also some street parking. Ambiance: The design is nice and bright. I love that they have soft arm chairs at some of the tables rather than just regular table seating. I also enjoy the brick details. The music is a bit loud for me but I think it's to over power the street sounds (which can be quite loud at times). I did feel like the music somehow didn't quite match the vibe of the place. Food: I ordered the spinach quiche with a side soup. I was very surprised at the size of the side soup! So portions are definitely very reasonable. Unfortunately, the soup had a tart, lemon flavor that over powered everything else in it. Which is disappointing. The quiche was ok - better than the soup! I do wish I had realized it wouldn't be warmed up so I could have requested it when I ordered. They have a lot of gorgeous pastries too! I had a slice of the lemon poppy cake and it was delicious - especially paired with tea. I also ordered a hot tea. They had most of the standard tea bag options. I didn't expect to get a whole tea pot of water with it - so that was a very pleasant surprise. Price: The prices seemed fair enough but slightly elevated for what I ordered. Overall this place was fine. I doubt I'll be back again though. *if you play pokemon go, this place has a pokemon stop and you can reach several other pokestops from here*

Yelp
There are very few excuses for any grown adult to eat a chocolate chip cookie for breakfast. Anonymous cafe's warmed chocolate chip cookie provides one of those few excuses. Thoroughly packed with glistening, melted chocolate chunks (not chips), this freshly baked masterpiece made my day, and I'm sure it will make yours too. As far as the experience here, I found the parking options limited and a bit intimidating, and guests who work in the building seemed to peddle in and out seemingly scouting the company that filters through, but once inside, the environment is bright and inviting, the staff is exceptionally helpful, and it's a nice little work nook. All of the pastries look amazing (I can personally say the key lime pie with fig, and Nutella dark chocolate mousse also taste delicious) and the coffee itself- oat milk cortado 4/5, freddo cappuccino mild to medium sweetness 5/5. It comes boldly caffeinated, refreshingly cold and appropriately creamy- plus, aesthetically it looks like a 10. This place is certainly worth the stop in, just expect to indulge when you arrive, because if you're anything like me, you'll be tempted to order everything.

Shelley F.

Yelp
Very aesthetic cafe, but the food is actually of quality (well granted, I only tried the desserts and coffee). Ordered up front and picked some desserts from the display case. The Mocha Latte came with adorable art! It was a pretty solid cup of coffee; not too sweet nor too bitter. The Pumpkin Crème Brûlée has to be one of the best desserts I've ever tried.. and I don't even care for pumpkin that much. The crème brûlée topping really elevated the dessert. Oh, and the presentation was absolutely stunning. The Ferrero Chocolate Mousse was delicious as well. Texture was great, and the tempered chocolate shell is a noteworthy marvel. Ferrero Rocher chocolates are rather sweet, but this mousse is more bitter tasting dessert since I think it's made from dark chocolate. The mousse didn't read particularly as hazelnut, but it was still enjoyable regardless. Service was great and everything came out in a timely manner. There is a parking garage nearby!

A'Yanna E.

Yelp
So cute, free parking garage, yummy food/desserts, and great service. With my special requests, they delivered exactly! The glass my water was served in was spotless. I always appreciate spotless glassware & cutlery. With the free Wi-Fi here I was able to complete some work. I highly recommend! Go, enjoy!!!

Faith G.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place they always have stellar service and great food. I always take friends here for coffee dates!

Aishah M.

Yelp
Wow! They used to be located in Sugarland and I never got to try them out. I recently got to try their Kirby location and wow I am impressed! There is conveniently a parking garage right next door, so you don't have to worry about parking!! The inside is so cute, and the customer service is absolutely phenomenal! We ordered- - Chicken Salad Salad- soooo good and FRESH!!!!! Omg. I'm not a salad gal but was in the mood. It came with fruit, cheese, and crackers. So tasty and delicious. - Chicken Souvlaki plate- my sister got this and it came with fries and a side salad. She loved her food. - Iced Freddo Espresso - soooo creamy strong and delicious! Yum yum. - Millionaire Shortbread Bars- Bars layered with caramel and dark chocolate with nuts on top. I'm not sure of the name but it was absolutely divine. 10/10 would recommend checking them out!!!

Deborah R.

Yelp
If I could do 3 1/2 stars I would. The Spinach Quiche (Sautéed spinach, herbs, feta cheese) was interesting and different, which I enjoyed. The salad that came with it had just a little too much dressing for me, while my daughter said her's was perfect. We both found the pesto hummus disappointing. I would try the regular if we return.

Michael A.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite café. For breakfast, lunch or dinner, the food is fresh and phenomenal. Anonymous never disappoints. Super clean, always fresh, incredible food, coffee, authentic Greek pastries. If you haven't been, you must pay them visit!!!

Amna I.

Yelp
This is such a cute coffee shop is Houston! The drinks are nicely presented and taste phenomenal! I loved the variety of flavors they offer for their lattes. Their sweet pastry items are also an amazing added bonus!

Katherine T.

Yelp
Anonymous cafe has one of my favorite cold brews! It tastes rich, chocolately and isn't bitter or acidic. Def recommend if that's how you like your coffee. I also tried their chicken pita wrap which I also enjoyed. The chicken was soft and nicely flavored, fries were crispy and delicious It seems like the cafe is run by family. Everyone takes great care of you and makes you feel welcome!

Taylor C.

Yelp
Been here a few times and plan to come back. It's a nice calm clean looking restaurant with very friendly staff. The parking is very easy and close right next door in a parking garage (free). They have really great Greek menu items and a dessert case (they have delicious baklava). It all tastes fresh and not too heavy. It's a really peaceful and tucked away from the street so I find myself staying a while and talking. Really lovely place worth a try!

Tiffany J.

Yelp
I stopped by while waiting to pick my dog up from the groomer. I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich and coffee. I was able to find a comfy arm chair and read a little. It's a small space but bright and pleasant.

Albert L.

Yelp
Just moved to the area.. was craving brunch and found this place! Lots of options on the menu. Order and pay at the counter than they bring the food to you Everything we had (breakfast crossaint, chicken waffle) were great and tasty. The crossaint is a little too flaky for my taste (made a mess..) but still delicious Would definitely keep this place in my book of places to return!

Wendy T.

Yelp
Wow... I can't believe I've been driving past this place without knowing of its existence! True to its name, this almost secret cafe/bakery is super cute and tucked away in plain sight on Kirby. Small and intimate, they serve big cups of coffee and both savory and sweet breakfast/brunch foods. Greek inspired, so think souvlaki, moussaka, and baklava on top of your usual cafe goodies like chicken and waffles, quiche, salads, and even burgers. But who am I kidding-- their beautiful sweets will have me coming back for more!! Their famous ekmeck kaitafi dessert (you'll see it scrolling through Yelp pics) was tasty, lots of whipped cream with some texture contrast, but I definitely enjoyed their other desserts more. The homemade croissants aren't your usual extra flaky, gazillion layer croissants you find at Common Bond or other HTown bakeries-- they're more buttery and tender, and come with homemade strawberry butter :) but their cute little cakes... *squeal*! Each dessert is around the $8-10 range, so not cheap, but definitely worth the cuteness and experience ^_^ how are they also so darn tasty?! Even their carrot cake (usually not a fan) is not only pretty, but the cream cheese frosting part was super light and whipped, and the cake itself was not too soft and not too "spicy" the way carrot cake usually is. The Ferrero Mousse cake was gorgeous, and inside was all chocolatey mousse, mmm~~~ might be a little too one-toned taste if you're eating dessert by yourself, so I recommend ordering a bunch between friends and sharing. Plenty of free parking in the garage. Service was super friendly! It's a bit small inside with some tables and couches, so I wouldn't bring a large group. But definitely bring a few friends to share a bunch of cute cakes with together~ Enjoy! :)

Yelp
I'm sad to say my experience at this cafe was not like most Yelpers' reviews. The staff was kind and made helpful suggestions when I had questions about the menu items and pastries. I ordered avgolemono soup. It was too tangy since the lemon overpowered the other flavors in the broth. For dessert I ordered carrot cake, which had a faint carrot flavor. After the first few bites, it tasted more like pumpkin cake, which was okay but not what I ordered. It was a little on the dry side but I believe that was because the desserts had been sitting in the freezer all day. (The cafe was closing in an hour.) The cream frosting was delicious but there was too much of it. I couldn't finish it and there was a pile of cream frosting remaining on my plate. The ambiance at Annonymous Cafe is calm and draws a studious crowd. Many people were having friendly chats or working on their laptops. Though I enjoyed being in the cafe, the food was underwhelming and did not meet my expectations.

Yelp
Always order my favorites an omelet with toffee nut latte. Never disappointed with breakfasts at this hidden geAnonymous Cafe.

Yelp
Anonymous Cafe is SO good. I have tried all the food in the pics. The American Greek salad is super yummy and comes with lettuce unlike the Village Greek salad. It has feta, red onions, Kalamata olives, cucumber, tomatoes, banana pepper, and a light dressing. Very filling and always fresh and refreshing. The ekmek is a must-have if you're craving dessert. It's light, creamy, not too sweet, and has a really fun texture with the shredded phyllo dough. Order a spanakopita on the side - this is also a must. The outside is flakey and crispy while the inside is decadent, savory, and creamy. It tastes like the perfect savory pastry and has this buttery taste that makes you want to eat 100. Lastly, I've tried the chicken souvlaki plate with fries, which is also very good. Their proteins are always grilled to perfection and are never tough. It comes with a side salad and is a perfect balance of all the menu favorites. The owners are always there and are very nice, as well! Always expect welcoming and warm service. Parking is easy as there's a huge parking garage right across from the restaurant. There is hardly ever a wait although there are always people eating or studying/working here. It's bright inside and always very clean. A cute place for lunch or dinner if you want something easy. Definitely worth what you pay for it.

Yelp
Had lunch today with my husband. The service was nice and not overbearing, especially considering this is a cafe. The owner set up place settings for us, before we sat down. I had the spanakopita and this was by far the best spanakopita that I've had and I've had many. Many times when I've had this at other places, it's usually soggy because the interior ingredients are too moist. Often, it's just one big wad of clearly thawed-from-frozen spinach taking over the whole dish or chunks of feta being salty and overpowering, if there is any feta detectable. Not so at Anonymous. The phyllo was light and flakey, not greasy. And the amount of spinach and feta complemented the overall size of the dish. Nothing overpowering in terms of size or flavor. And no sogginess at all. Also, the ingredients seemed fresh, especially for the price point. It was served in two pieces and was hot from the first bite to the last. Will definitely eat here again. My new favorite spanakopita place. ^_^
