Food and service were great. Phở tài was excellent and the beef was very rare. Special #1 reminded me of mapo tofu minus the tofu. Egg rolls were just ok. Menu is in English, no pictures, and waitresses didn't know Vietnamese. Not a big deal, but it makes it hard to figure out what to look for if you know the names of the dishes or what they look like. Portions seemed a little small, but nothing to complain about.

I am very disappointed with this place. The food was mediocre at best and the price is ridiculous. They charge $11 for 2 rolls of summer rolls, one of the ripped and the inside fell all over. The turmeric fish plate is $17, which is half the size of what I normally would get in a Vietnamese restaurant. The food wasn't even that great. I am a Vietnamese. And I would never recommend this food to anyone. The price gouging is also embarrassing.

So I went here because I was in the area for work but I really wanted pho. I have been to lots of pho places but this one threw me off a bit. First off, its not JUST vietnamese food, which wouldve been good to know. Second, it doesnt have the traditional condiments of the pickled peppers or chili paste or chili oil out on the table. I ordered the beef pho which was very good, tho the beef was a bit grisle-y. They didnt have the traditional spoons which make eating pho easier since the spoon hooks onto the side of the bowl. The toppings plate was a bit smaller than most pho places. Generally the pho was ok. Then i ordered dessert- i got the Banana roll which is a safe traditional dessert. It was served with Dill in the middle of the plate "as garnish" but the smell really threw me off as Dill smells like pickles. The rolls themselves were covered in a brulee- which made the experience of eating them akin to eating shattered glass- tastey carmel-y glass, but rather pokey... overall it was a bizare experience. The Thai tea was delicious.

Really good restaurant, quite impressed with location, amongst all the art festival, great flavors and proper presentation on every dish, took one star away for their service since they were understaffed so the service was extremely slow, and every table around us was waiting for something.. but the servers and waitress were super kind and nice and totally trying their best but they can’t be serving on the weekends with limited staff .... the food is very very yummy and price is on the high side but of course in laguna Beach this is already considered well priced and so we will definitely be back

Loved this place since it opened. He menu keeps expanding. The pho is always a great standby but new specials appear monthly. Tonight we're trying the papaya Salas with lemongrass pork. Delicious!

Great chicken pho! it's breast meat though so be aware. :) will revisit to try other items edit: now I've tried their chicken/beef pho, Thai fried rice, lemongrass chicken, Earl grey milk tea, orange marmalade cake, special #1 and special #3 which is the tumeric fish noodles. I highly recommend special #3 or the lemongrass! best Asian restaurant in Laguna beach without a doubt.

First of all I'm a 7 star badge goggle local guide. My reviews get 15,000 views a month, because I'm honest, and I review high end Resorts and the nicer places in life. The only time I review fast food or little soso restaurants is when they do something really amazing or when they do something really tacky. THIS PLACE IS TACKY. This is the 5th time this has happened within a year where I get the fried rice with tofu. Extra tofu. The plate is so small I'm carrying the dish out of the restaurant to go, And I'm just dumbfounded how light it feels. So it's $20 for what I have pictured here. $19.40. For $17 I get the same thing at Thai brothers and it is so amazing, And huge. I'm a big guy and when I was done with this I had to go and make myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I mean desperation food when you're hungry ? I understand foofy little restaurants in LA or New York where they charge top dollar because they have established a name for themselves but this place is just a little tiny spot IN tiny Laguna Beach. It's not 5 star! it's not 4 star, It's maybe 3 star food! I'm just sick of paying $20 for this tiny amount of food. Look how small this plate is against my hand. Lol.🤔💸
