"Just a five-minute drive from Vancouver Mall, Anoush sells a variety of meats, freshly baked bread and pastries, all sorts of Eastern European candies in crinkly, colorful wrappers, and other grocery staples. The other draw here is the deli section that sits right up front, where diners can order hot dishes like pelmeni, borscht, cabbage rolls served with sour cream, and massive gyros." - Janey Wong

Google
Pretty good food. Would’ve given 5-Stars but my gyro meat was pretty cold. Absolutely stellar falafel and the portion size was really good. Excited to try the bell pepper chips I also bought from their very cool eastern european market. Lots of goodies to try.

Google
Best Borscht and Tiramisu in town! They have a little dining area inside and outside. The store itself has a decent amount of food, candies, and drinks to choose from. Quick service and everything taste fresh.

Chris Bauman

Google
Holy smokes! The gyro was delicious. Easily 1/2 lb of beef/lamb, along with a bright and zippy tzatziki sauce, topped with feta and a lightly smoky paprika. Truly great.

Rhybreadguy

Google
Great little store with a large selection of foods and many varieties of cheeses and meats and pastries. Parking is sometimes a little tricky but usually not difficult. With a few tables to sit at, it's a cool spot to shop for European and other international foods while you cool down from the hot summer day. Very kind multi-lingual employees, feels like home.

Daniel Robinson

Google
Best Gyro I have had since I lived in the Middle East years ago! Pastries and cake selection was almost too much for someone trying to diet... Tiramisu was wonderful! They also stock proper English chocolate, well they did, before I bought a load of it! Wonderful , friendly service.... I'll definitely be returning here!

Cheryl Pallie

Google
Their food is absolutely amazing. The flavour is vibrant and fresh. Everything is well seasoned and cooked. We ordered a Chicken Kebab Platter. Will definitely be getting food from here often! Great quantity of food for the price!

Google
No need to travel abroad when you can just go into this market! Friendly service, delicious food loaded with meat and that fancy Twist dessert was fabulous!! Clean place to enjoy your food or take on the go. Nice rewards option as well. Well stocked grocery with a huge variety! You name it, they have it. Looking forward to making caviar pie and getting fresh caviar from them. It's located next to the Tesla charging station and the Mall is also pretty close. Can't believe I passed by this place so many times when I lived in that area and never tried it. Had I known, I'd have gone all the time. Now I need to drive a bit to go enjoy them, but still will.

Google
Food was great, service was friendly and it didn't kill us in the pocketbook. We'll def be back. Some cool grocery items too

Derek W.

Yelp
Sometimes I go to this store, I admire Russian products, you can also order something ready-made from them, all the dishes are very tasty, I also wanted to give a separate to the staff for their service and attention.

Joanne S.

Yelp
3.5/5 Went to check it out since I was in the area and decided to try their chicken gyro plate. Essentially just "chopped lettuce", tomato slices with some chicken. Definitely needed a little "oomph" for the chicken, some more tang/citrus to it. Almost like toppings to a sandwich. The entree came with pita bread and taziki sauce. I wish they had garlic sauce. Service was very friendly and they have a sign up for points/rewards. Family business vibes. The lady was nice and offered me some siracha sauce. Love love their falafel. I was super moist and flavorful. Would definitely recommend that. Boyfriend got a twist. Which was almost like whip cream in pastry bread.

Yelp
BEST LAMB GYRO EVER Packed with fresh sliced, warm and savory lamb and tons of tzatziki and feta and tomatoes and wrapped in the freshest soft and chewy pita bread I've ever tasted. This is a family owned store with an incredible selection of groceries and a deli with the best selection of fresh meats and pastries and bread ever. For a small Store, this store has top quality items and the freshest of food of anywhere. Service is not rushed because of the quality of the food. Worth waiting for because of the care they put into making everything as fresh as possible. Very clean and organized in a small space that manages to feel roomy and have plenty of indoor seating for eating the delicious gyros or other Greek and ethnic items. And don't forget the cakes and pasties and coffees. Come here hungry and leave very satisfied and wanting to come Back again and again!! Very fair prices too.

T T.

Yelp
This has to be the best gyro I've ever eaten. If you are REALLY hungry, these guys pack that pita FULL of delicious lamb and beef, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, feta... it's a massive meal. The store is really cute and you can get so many deli meats, cheeses, fish, and candy. My gyro was ready in less than 3 minutes and they have little tables and chairs for you to sit at if you want to eat it there. If you are in Vancouver, WA this is a must see place.

Desiree L.

Yelp
The gyro platter is so so so yummy! I love the huge can't selection. They also have a huge variety of beer. They are always super friendly and they have a clean seating area to dine in. I am always pleased when I get a free gyro from the rewards system they offer inside the store.

Yelp
I feel very uncomfortable writing a less-than good review for a business that is likely family-owned. And I see that this restaurant has very good reviews, so maybe this is just my experience. I placed a GrubHub order for lunch on a Weds. I ordered babaganoush, hummus, dolmas, and baklava. The dips came with warm pita bread. I also added tzatziki and olives. The dolmas were difficult to eat with a fork (eating at my desk), being less firm than I'm used to. They broke apart or flipped when I attempted to spear them and dip them in the tzatziki. Their flavor was acceptable but not to my liking. I enjoyed their customary tang. The babaganoush was very good--my favorite part. It was Smokey and flavorful. Very good and I wish I'd ordered more. The hummus was creamy (my preference), but was not special, as I would expect from a Mediterranean restaurant. The tzatziki tasted like sour cream. The olives were excessively squishy, tasted bad and had pits, which made them difficult to eat with anything else (at my desk) The only item I do not eat regularly is baklava. This was delicious! Not too sweet, walnuts and honey goodness. I hope that this review can be helpful to the business owners in some way. I did only order sides, so perhaps the entrees are more appealing and special. But I probably won't try this restaurant again. And I did order out, so perhaps the food is tastier if you eat it there.

Yelp
The best gyro I've had, maybe, ever. The Napoleon was flakey and delicious. Good selection of Eastern European and some Middle Eastern food goods -- I got some frozen pierogis and pickled turnips. The place was clean and friendly service.

Melissa F.

Yelp
Great little cafe and store. We shared a traditional gyro and falafel gyro. Usually gyro meat and falafel have a tad too much seasoning for my liking, but I thought this was perfect. We'll be back!

Lea G.

Yelp
I come to get a Gyro here quite often. I love their deli section as well. A lot of European meats and cheeses and packaged fish. They have imported canned goods from pickles to soup. All kinds of dumplings and pierogies. Large dairy and cold section with Amish butter! A wide variety of candies. From aloha. Also pastas, bulgur, rice. If you like canned fish they have a lot of choices. I always come here for the same thing. The Gyro. Today I also got a potato salad that has peas and bologna. So good. If you give them your number you accumulate points. Anything from that platter sandwich to a free soft drink like I got today. Also did I mention the desserts? Dude! The people that work here are amazing and helpful. There are some that speak English well that can help you find things that you might like to try. Today I bought some Boulgar

Brian M.

Yelp
They have a great deli selection and a nice selection of ethnic foods. They also have the best borscht soup in Vancouver.

Dahlia M.

Yelp
Love the desserts so much! Ricotta and pistachio cake is a dream The tabouleh is incredible I have nothing bad to say about the food. So yummy

Doni B.

Yelp
Beef gyro was delicious! Loaded with perfectly seasoned meat, fresh veggies, a soft, fresh greek pita bread and the perfect amount of tzatziki sauce. I would definitely recommend their gyros, but I can't speak to any of their other food on the menu since I didn't try it. I give this a four-star because the location is full of sketchy people lurking in the parking lot and around the outside of the strip mall it's located within. A flier from the "boyfriend" of an alleged missing person claiming she was being sex trafficked by the government was put on my windshield in the 15 minutes I was inside eating my food.

April T.

Yelp
Best Gyro I've ever had! They have a great selection of deli meats and facility is very nice and clean with a nice little eating area.

Aren S.

Yelp
Variety of groceries including labneh, piroshki, fresh pickles (deli style, not the kind that's so vinegary you could use it to decalcify a pot), traditional salads, and both house baked and prepackaged deserts. The gyros are good, but the borscht is amazing - didn't even realize I liked it until I tried it here. They often have a vegetarian one as well (listed vegan but comes with sour cream on the side by default). If they say they're out of it but can make one without beef, avoid. It may still have beef. Definitely get the pita on the side unless you hate pita. Bonus: they serve coffee, fountain drinks, and a variety of sodas (including a Georgian cola that tastes a bit too much like pine trees but is certainly interesting).

Yelp
I've lived in LA for a long time yet I've never visited a market quite like Anoush. Lots of candies, pastries and treats packaged with a lot of Cyrillic letters. It's a market. It's a deli. It's a restaurant (though with minimal seating). There must be a healthy number of Cyrillic readers or simply enthusiasts to keep their stock rotating. Maybe maybe at some time... ... and there will be opportunities because we've had bad food experiences all over the Vancouver area and we're ecstatic that it didn't happen at this place. We placed the order for two gyros through Yelp app and I seriously didn't invest any hopes for it being any good because we've experienced such indifferent dishes for the last two months since arriving here hoping to find something... anything worth paying for. We've nailed our pizza place and can thankfully say we've nailed our gyro source as well! Is it salty? Yes, but the mellow tzaziki masks it well with plenty of tomatoes, red onions and lettuce to accompany the meat. It's a satisfying sandwich and once I can find a more appealing picture to post of it, I will. :) Chicken Maison afficionados will argue with me, but we ain't in South Bay, are we?

Rodney M.

Yelp
You have gotta go here! a wonderful staff, beautiful surroundings, comfortable, clean and smiling faces abound (I think "abound" is a word)! my first time in so after a very brief training I was ready to rumble... the Gyro Platter was suggested and it was STUPENDOUS... fresh, tasty and beautiful to behold! I felt as though I could have been in a small family run cafe nestled in some delightful place in the 'med'... surrounded on all sides by fresh bakery delicacies and deli foods and beverages of all kinds... don't let the very few naysayers stop you... go here and experience one of the best casual eating places in the Couve'... Now, I'm kinda "old schoolish" and not much into door dash, Uber or grub schulb but with delicious fresh food like this I believe it is best enjoyed straight from the hands of one of the Anoush Team... fresher is always better...

Yelp
Small little deli, but I like the fact that they have a few tables and chairs inside so you can sit down to enjoy your food instead of always taking it to go. I ordered the chicken kabobs. LOTS of food. The plate was much bigger than I expected. The chicken was juicy, and the rice was yummy. My husband ordered the gyro sandwich with lamb. It was pretty good, but honestly it looked more like a salad than anything as there was SO much lettuce. The pita was big but completely hidden under the veggies. We also ordered the cabbage rolls (a bit bland) and the dolmades (I didn't try them, but my husband said they were good). The service was fine. When we started to order I asked the guy at the counter which dish he would recommend, but I don't think he understood me as he walked away and a lady in the back came to take my order instead. She was pleasant, and when I asked her the same question she said that the gyro sandwich was pretty popular. The food took just a little while to come out, and it was hot. The lady delivered everything we ordered to our table. On our way out, I got a few desserts to go. The tres leches cake was really scrumptious! The pistachio and ricotta cake was a bit flavorless, and the other dessert I got that had 3 slices of round cake was a bit dry with some sort of thick cream on the inside that tasted just like butter. Not my cup of tea, but someone else might like it. If we end up making another trip down to Vancouver then we'd definitely go again as the chicken kabobs were worth the time, and the prices were decent for the amount of food you get.

Chris P.

Yelp
Great staff always a pleasure to get food from there. I wish them nothing but success

Xia P.

Yelp
Solid 3 out of 5 stars overall but the highs were high and the lows were low. Falafel, 5/5 - absolutely perfect & fluffy Hummus, 4.5/5 - I prefer mine a little more spiced and thinner Pita bread, 5/5 - delicious clouds Dolmas, 2/5 - soggy & not good Pelmeni with sour cream, 2/5 - I didn't like the flavor/lack of spices. The meat mixture seemed a little off. Gyro, 4/5 - solid Sweet cheese pastry, 3.75/5 - It was cute and shaped like a heart. Cheese seemed extra eggy. Chicken kebob platter, 0/5 - VERY generous portion of chicken however the chicken was incredibly overcooked and rubbery. The little bite I did have, didn't taste good & I ended up throwing it out because I was worried it might be old or make me sick. I was also super disappointed the platter didn't come with any type of rice like a lot of other kebob places. (I ordered this from a food delivery app so I wasn't sure what to expect.) Idk but the crazy amount of shredded iceberg lettuce was soooooo gross because it was topped with their tzatziki and in the most respectful way possible that's the most disgusting and bland tzatziki I've ever had in my life. Tasted like straight up sour cream with water in it. I understand this is more of an international deli type spot rather than a proper restaurant but I'd rather they cut the menu down and really focus on what's going right because some of the other stuff is just so dang wrong. I'd totally order again but it would legit just be falafel and hummus + pita. Not really the most nutritious meal so dang maybe I won't be ordering again. Idk. Time will tell.

Yelp
Just go, you'll be glad you did. I have not had a dining experience like this in a long time. Now granted it is a grocery/deli and restaurant in a tucked away strip mall in Vancouver...but that's what makes it so amazing. From the outside you'd probably pass it bye but I'm telling you, pull in, and enjoy something delicious. I have been eyeballing this place from other Yelp reviews and the pictures and I'm so glad that today we tried it out. We were promptly greeted and offered assistance. We ordered the Gyro plate, beet salad, chicken kabab plate. We were given thoughtful suggestions from the person taking our order. The food was ready in a flash but while I waited it gave me time to explore this awesome international grocer. So many treasures I wouldn't even know where to start. When the food came we had to move to a bigger table because there was so much. Everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the carrot salad. The man that was helping us even gave us complementary dessert and before we left he we had a nice conversation and learned this is his family's business. His name is Dmitry and he encouraged us to come back to try the borscht. This is what a successful small business is all about. I look forward to going back to find exotic treats and try new things from the menu. It feels so nice to support hard working decent people who get it. So what are you waiting for!!!!! Go now.

Julia W.

Yelp
I love Anoush-Deli! Amazing lamb gyros. My number one place I go to for gyros. I've been coming back to this place since I was first introduced in 2012. Cute hole in the wall, don't miss out. Lovely staff

Dauminique H.

Yelp
The yummiest Borscht I've had an a long time. Thank you everyone that made my day at this amazing deli! I went in not knowing how cozy it would be to eat there. I got the Borscht and rye bread. This will definitely be a pit stop when I'm in VC

David P.

Yelp
My favourite local spot for chicken pilaf platter and all my Armenian, Mediterranean needs. Friendly service and great selection on sweets and breads. Yummy gyros!! And much more! Don't sleep on this spot! It's Soo good !

Jerrel T.

Yelp
This is my go to spot for Mediterranean food! The Gyro platter and Lepina is my favorite thing to order here. Although, you can't go wrong with just about anything on their menu from Borscht to Pelmeni is absolutely delicious. Customer service is on point and consistent.

Sarah J.

Yelp
Listen Vancouver, don't sleep on Anoush Deli. My husband had gotten food for us here once, like maybe 7 years ago. I remember it was AMAZING, but hadn't been back since. Their location is not in an area of town we are ever in. Well, tonight we decided to get dinner delivered and have a quiet Friday evening in. I wanted something different, something I hadn't had for awhile. Then I remembered this place! I'm actually mad at myself for going this long without eating here again! The gyros platter is THE BEST. Their tzatziki sauce is to die for! My husband loved his chicken kebab pilaf plate! Oh, and I had an eclair for dessert, also scrumptious. I'm ashamed that I dug right in before snapping a few pics! However, if you've not been here, go now. Or have it delivered! You won't regreWe'll, Absolutely high quality, delicious food, generous portions, and SO GOOD!

Melinda L.

Yelp
Small, international (appears to be Armenian?) deli and grocery store with many interesting prepared foods, bakery items, drinks (including alcohol like cherry wine), cured meats, and grocery items available. Specific items tried: Borscht: Taste: 5/5 - was a bit intimidated by the vibrant color, but tasted amazing! Very flavorful and comforting. Picked pita to go with, & it was soft and warm Get again? Yes! Tastes nostalgically similar to vegetable beef soup that my family makes. Gyros platter Taste: 4/5 Get again? Yes, especially if I'm hungry b/c the portions are huge Wedding baklava Taste 5/5 - I have never seen a baklava like this. Essentially it's like a normal baklava, but airier, and five times the size. The filo was perfectly flaky with a thin glaze of honey. Get again? I really shouldn't, given the sheer size & my ability to demolish it in one sitting and want more, but I probably will Overall: 5/5 - delicious, decently priced food with lots of interesting looking bakery, alcoholic drinks, and grocery items. Cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
Best Gyro in Vancouver. Staff is super friendly and the dining area is very welcoming.

Anna K.

Yelp
So freaking good! 10/10 recommend Looks like a little hole in the wall, but has tons of stuff in the store. Was helped right away, super kind staff!

Edgar S.

Yelp
Been years coming here and still the best. I love chatting with whoever is working, trying new foods, and getting my Borjomi mineral water. Gyros, borsch, and pilmeni are great, spiced carrot or spiced beet salads both awesome, and don't forget beers and desserts. Just go in looking for something new and you won't be disappointed!

Rainy B.

Yelp
I love this place! It's close to my house! I prefer to order all the cart so I can't get what I want via DoorDash. Sometimes a girl just wants kebabs without all the side so you know. I think I've had a little bit of everything by now and really everything is made exceptionally well. Somethings I don't like, but that's because I just don't like the dish not because it's not cooked right. I think my favorite dishes are the kebabs à la carte, the stuffed cabbage is to die for! And their pastries like the Russian fudge, and well, all their pastries are excellent.

Aaron J.

Yelp
Always delicious and well packaged for takeout! We LOVE their gyros! The hummus is just okay though. And the people working there are always so nice and friendly!

Rachel K.

Yelp
I just stumbled upon a miracle! Pulled over to get gas in route to Salem. This little deli is a hidden secret. Or maybe not maybe I'm the only one that didn't know about it. Delicious fresh made deli takeout. I'll kinds of delicious vegetarian options. And literally the biggest deal pickle collection I've ever seen and I'm a dill pickle connoisseur. The prices are great, the staff is amazing and you're welcome. There were so many options from the takeout deli it was hard to decide. So I got all of the following - baba ghanouj, hummus, cheese garlic spread, some olives, some spicy carrot salad with eggplants and red peppers, and some fresh feta on the side. Clearly my eyes were much larger than my stomach. It was a smorgasbord of delightful flavors. The cheese spread on some pita with some of the spicy carrot salad life-changing. No idea if that's how you're supposed to eat it but I highly recommend it. Didn't make it much farther past a bite of the rest of the stuff because that combo blew my mind.

Justin L.

Yelp
Huge Gyros, very casual/cute market setting. Loved the Baklava and the employees were awesome. Had very fun international candies and groceries. Definitely get some baklava.

Dan N.

Yelp
My favorite Greek food is served here. The service was very nice and the ambiance is that of a family owned deli. I love it.

Bethany S.

Yelp
The most delicious gyros! Yum! I'm looking forward to getting gyros to go again. There's a few spots to sit down and eat.

Jennifer O.

Yelp
Great food, lots of vegetarian options, friendly service. The dessert options also look amazing but I haven't tried any yet. The grocery options also look fun and interesting. The falafel gyro is awesome and my husband loved the chicken filled pasta with sour cream sauce.

Ryan B.

Yelp
This place is clean and friendly service.the gyro sandwich is fresh and delicious.they also have homemade soups and other homemade dishes that are very good!

Colleen R.

Yelp
Nice little local spot for eastern european items like teas and snacks and breads. Helpful people.

Yelp
Amazing food and very sweet staff. Would definitely eat here again fresh food and huge portions. Don't pass this place up

Alli S.

Yelp
Anoush Deli has extremely kind employees and great food (grocery, homemade treats, drinks, and meals) at fair prices. You can sit indoor or outdoor. It's a hidden gem!

Sarah S.

Yelp
When I come to visit my sister, this place is a must. Not only are the people friendly and helpful, the food is absolutely delicious! Generous portions and fresh ingredients make Anoush stand out from the rest. You will not be disappointed if you go to this deli. They obviously take pride in their business because it shows.

Karen Q.

Yelp
This deli serves a great Gyro. Bring your appetite because they are big. Also, the store has a lot of interesting items in the grocery and a fresh deli case with gorgeous desserts that taste as good as they look.

Jennifer F.

Yelp
i love this places, me and my husband have been going here for years, the owners are really nice and the staff are wonderful i definitely recommend trying it out

Skylar A.

Yelp
This place is bomb. From their sandwiches to their gyro with feta. Amazzzzzingggg. Every time we are around this part of our town, it's a must stop. They have inside seating but a shopping section. Very convenient.

Jack W.

Yelp
The have good food. Only negative thing is their very slow preparing your order. Had trouble in the past with a called in order and waited 20 minutes on it. Lol isn't that the point of calling a order in so you just go and pick it up?

Lalo A.

Yelp
been going there for years really good food and service the staff were really kinds. really nice and clean environment

Isaiah L.

Yelp
The best gyros in the greater Portland area. A small Eastern European deli with great meats/cheeses. The borscht is also excellent. Highly recommend.

Rose D.

Yelp
Had the gyro platter which was okay. Not the best, but tasted decent and with the platter they give you a lot of the toppings (lettuce, tomato, onions & tzatziki sauce) and a pita sliced in fourths. I also had their "spicy beet salad" which was quite tasty, though not at all spicy from a heat/hot standpoint, so perhaps the "spicy" meant that it has spices in it? Not sure but it was good. It took 10 minutes for the gyro to be ready which seemed like a bit long of a wait considering they were not busy. They have a lot of various meats at the deli counter and a small grocery section at the back with canned and dry goods, candies and some frozen items such as pelmeni & cakes.

Laurie C.

Yelp
We really miss having this special shop in East Portland!! The owner is so nice, as is everyone there. I loved having a place where I could explore European cuisine, and also have a really great lunch. Sad to see it go.
