The restaurant may not be located in the center of Kyoto, but it is absolutely worth the trip. I had an incredible dining experience with my wife from start to finish. Every detail was thoughtfully crafted, from the beautiful presentation of each dish to the perfect balance of flavors. The attention to detail in both the plating and the harmony of the food truly stood out. We had a memorable and delightful experience and hopefully will be able to come back!

I visited in early January and was truly impressed by the exceptional service and meticulous attention to detail from start to finish. Each course was perfectly timed, served at the ideal temperature, and presented like a work of art. The food itself was some of the best I’ve ever had—each dish was thoughtfully crafted, with perfect balance of flavors. My server was not only friendly but also incredibly attentive. In summary, the team at anpeiji created an evening that was more special than we ever could have imagined! Using the Michelin guide, we chose this restaurant to celebrate our honeymoon and a birthday. The service was amazing starting from being greeted at the door. The space was elegant and modern with an open kitchen to watch the master chefs at work. We ordered the wine pairing and are so glad we did, really excellent choices. On to the food - The dishes were the most delicious and beautiful we have ever eaten… any description will not do justice to how incredible this food was. Look at the pictures to get an idea. Standouts included the seabass and beef dishes, as well as the lemon tart dessert. We had a conversation with the French-trained Japanese chef, anpeiji, at the end of the meal and it was clear how much time and effort goes into his creations. We strongly recommend this Kyoto culinary experience. Do not miss it! Book now!

What an amazing experience. I can say I had one of the best dishes in my life here last night. The food was amazing, service and vibes were on point, and even the chef walked my spouse and I out at the end of the night. We will be recommending Anpeiji to anyone we know who is coming to Kyoto.

We had an amazing experience on the evening of January 31st. It was one of the best experience we had in a Michelin star restaurant. The food was incredible, the wine pairing worked really well ! The atmosphere was surreal : the staff went above and beyond to respond to our needs. And it was a real pleasure to spend this evening at Anpeiji. It was also amazing to meet with the chef at the end (who, by the way, speaks French). They even accompanied us all the outside to our taxi. Thank you very much for this incredible evening !

It is a hidden gem ! The service was perfect ! The decoration, the plates, the cutleries were chosen with such good taste. The food was amazing. You can feel the chef’s hard work in each bite you take. Some dishes even took me back to fond memories. The experience you get at this restaurant is very unique. If you visit Kyoto, you have to go there!

Came to Kyoto with a group of friends and had this dinner booked as a keystone event. I was blown away at the atmosphere, the service and the food. Absolutely incredible, the staff was attentive, food was served perfectly on time and taste was truly incredible. If you want to be treated like royalty this is the place to go!
