Antedote

I am very impressed with the work being done at Antedote. This is a vision that many treatment providers have talked about for years, and Mike and Shai have finally brought it to life. This is a place where men can go for therapeutic recovery services, build a community, and have fun at the same time. I highly recommend this program for those who do not respond well to the "mainstream" approach to healing. Within a few years, this model will be mainstream!

My 17-year-old son joined this group about six months ago. He mainly goes during days off from school. Joining this group has been an incredibly positive experience for him. The environment at Antedote is welcoming and very supportive. He is able to share his feelings and things that go on with him in a safe space. I’m watching him become more confident, a better listener and strengthen his connections with others. There’s a lot going on for teens and I am so happy he has a place to go to feel seen and heard and understood. The connection and community is priceless

The concept presented by Antidote is providing West LA with a fresh look at care for young men. The space is both relaxing and inspiring. The team is armed with years of experience across many disciplines, allowing for specialized, quality treatment while also integrating a sense of community and personal integrity. To say I trust the staff would be an understatement. It is exciting to see what is being built with Antedote. With the founders’ passionate leadership, it is easy to see why Antedote is already an innovative success.

Michael Martin and Antedote save lives, pure and simple. My nephew was having a rough time at school, dealing with some bullying and some other early mental health issues. I found out from his mom that he had started dabbling in drinking alcohol. At 16 years old, that doesn’t work for our family. I looked around and spoke with some people I know in the industry, and 3 different friends pointed me toward Antedote. My nephew went, begrudgingly at first. But within about two weeks I began to see some small changes. It has been a little under 3 months now, and I don’t even recognize this kid. He is more confident, interacts with others with integrity, and worked out all the stuff at school. He actually enjoys going to groups at Antedote. I’m very grateful for Mike and his team, they’re top notch. Thank you guys for everything you’ve done for my family, my brother and his wife sleep so much better at night and we owe that to you.

Antedote is a great resource for families looking to be mindful of the extensive costs associated with residential treatment and outpatient costs. I have worked in the space for close to a decade now, and there is nothing like this in the country!

Antedote is a fantastic place for young men to find themselves and course-correct in early adulthood. The facilities are incredible, including a basketball court, gym equipment, TV/video-games, group therapy space, and a full sauna/cold plunge room. The staff are fantastic, led by Antedote’s co-founders who come from a successful background of both operating and establishing well respected treatment and mental health facilities for men. This is the kind of place that I wish I had been able to attend when I was young. I think this is the kind of organization that actually has a chance of reaching young men, a demographic that is notoriously hard to break through with. Couldn’t speak more highly of this place. I’m sure they will help countless young men.

I came through to the antidote facility to check it out and it was great! i was met with love by all of the staff. Campbell, Eric & mike. the inside of the facility was very modern and well put together. my favorite part about this spot is that they have a cold plunge, Sauna and a nice indoor basketball court. i shot some hoops with the staff and they even gave me a sparkling water after. i will def. be sending my little brother here. highly recommend!

Turning from post-crisis treatment to prevention at the most pivotal age range, they have brought a holistic and eclectic offering and community space to the frontier of young men's mental health. The facilities are cutting edge with sports, exercise and fitness, spa/sauna and ice plunge, as well as a beautiful space for deep relational work, all in the heart of West LA and easily accessible. Any young man or family involved in their program would be privileged to be a part of it, and I know the work here will help to assist young men to become more embodied and authentic in their journey to adulthood and full ownership of their lives.

I've never seen a treatment center like this. Being active and taking care of the body is a huge part of recovery, and these guys do it well in addition to standard therapies and psychiatric treatment. It genuinely seems like a fun place to heal.
