Food was really good here, starter was definitely my favorite, the platter was nice however felt as though it was lacking flavors. There was an issue with the table itself as the texture of it was very sticky, upon asking the waited to clean it he explained that the tables were a few years old and had become like this and offered to put tissues on the table, it was wobbling throughout the whole meal as well so annoying. Staff were very friendly, however the younger staff do need to improve their customer service, it’s not very appealing hearing “what do you want” when a customer wants to place their order. Came here after seeing that they were doing the eat out to help out, but they excluded all the mocktails and weren’t even serving any deserts although they were displaying these menus on the tables so felt as though my experience here wasn’t so good because I wanted to try more of the menu, as well as that total bill came up to £50 meaning the 50% off would decrease it to £25 but instead they charged £30, asked the waiter why they only took off £20 and his excuse was “it’s whichever works cheaper for the government it’s £10 off per person” which was a bag of lies as all the places I’ve been to have taken off 50% but I wasn’t going to argue over £5, it’s run by Asians so just be careful because a lot of them are doing this especially on ladypool road, always check the receipt. Experience would’ve been a lot better if it wasn’t for excluding half the menu and lying to the customer when it came to the bill 👍🏻

Came here for the first time the other day. First impressions weren't so great as the place did seems a little... unclean. Sticky floors and table. Not exactly pleasant. However, when the food arrive it was on point! The mix grill was a good portion with a variety of meats. We enjoyed every dish and it definately had that authentic Turkish taste. They gave bread and salad to moisten the palate and the homemade sauce was delicious. Not very clean inside but the food made up for it.

Great food and great service. The food had a good tender texture with a lot of flavoured juices. I had ordered the platter and shared between 3 people and it filled us all up and was very satisfactory. My only problem was, that the shop was a little warm but that may have been due to the humid summer weather. Overall a very tasteful and pleasant experience. Would definitely visit again.

We went during the early afternoon on a weekday and there was only one other table of two seated when we arrived. Upon entering, we were seated and were only told ‘cash only’ upon ordering. Tap water wasn’t allowed to be served - when queried, we were advised “I don’t know, it’s just what management has told us”. So one of us went to the cash point which the waiter said was 4 shops away, whilst the other waited and then we found out the nearest cash point charges 99p. We also took this chance to get our drinks as we refused to pay £1.49 for a plastic bottle of water. 2 empty plates were brought over, one being slightly chipped. The place felt a bit tired - perhaps because it wasn’t the cleanest…I only noticed I was sat on some dirty seats at this point. The drinks menu was also worn and not the cleanest. Whilst my companion was still out, the waiter brought over some bread, a small serving of salad and some sauces. A nice touch, but what would have been nicer if they asked if they should wait until my companion came back. The bread was reheated bread - you could tell as it was cold and not as fresh tasting in the middle. I also found out later the party of three were being given the option of having their bread starter served with an alternative topping. We ordered the platter and were told it would be around half an hour, which we expected. It was served with rice and wheat but no salad - the salad to start with was a very small amount and so more salad wouldn’t have gone amiss. The rice and bulgar was luke warm and it’s a good job I wasn’t here for just this - I didn’t touch any of it but my partner ate it just so it wasn’t wasted. The meat was flavoured & cooked to a great standard (ribs, wings, lamb Shish, chicken shish, 1 adana, and a bit of chicken & meat donner) - my only complaint is that the serving of both meat & chicken donner was extremely miserly. Another thing to note - their website notes the cost of the platter at £24.95 for takeaway and £27.95 for eat in yet the menu charge is £29.95. The service was average. The couple who were there when we arrived had left whilst we were there and another party of 3 arrived before we left. I definitely wouldn’t say the experience was worth the almost £30, but at least the chef did a great job with the meat.

Went in as a family group of 16 people, adults and kids. Ordered several family platers, pizza and sides. The food was absolutely fantastic. The portion sizes are huge. The cuisine recommends 4 people for a family size platter, but it could honestly feed 6 and more some. Bulga rice was my favourite, so would highly recommend. Employees were professional and attentive. As the ground floor was packed, they had kindly arranged upstairs dinning area for a large family group and had our orders all ready within 30-40mins without any booking, on top of that, only two employees were working and they were understaffed. One employee had a broken arm, so you can see the commitment! You won't be disappointed.

Food was amazing. Wasn't fond of the rice. It was majorly thick and rubbery. Had the antep meal for 2. Had half left and had it packed to go. Yogurt dip and hommus were amazing. Downside is that its very pricey. For the locality and quality it was expensive. Furniture has taken its toll, chairs need upholstering, tables could do with a polish. It was very clean. Went at lunch during weekday. Very quiet. Had to go over to the waiter so we could place an order. Even then after seating ourselves, took the waiter 15 minutes to come and take an order.

We dined upstairs. It was quite, calm and clean. The humus and bread were excellent. We loved the ribs. There was complementary Turkish tea at the end. I am afraid the service was very poor. The staff appeared professional but the food took more than an hour to be served. This was when only less than half the tables were occupied. The rice and the wheat did not taste fresh. We went there on Friday night.

Yelp
Today I took my family first and LAST time to this place. Upon arrival I asked if the chef is Turkish and not some Pakistani or Singh guy preparing the TURKISH food, Was told by not a turkish guy that the chef is TUrkish... So I was hoping to get a decent food. Ordered one family platter and Iskender lamb, took them 45 minutes to prepare the two dishes for 7 people including 2 children. The service is very slow and chaotic, we were seated near the hot grill which made me and family feel very uncomfortable as the place was full. (FEEL SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO WERE EATING SMELLY MEAT) after 45 minutes of wait, the food arrived. And my doubts were correct, they don't know how to make proper turkish food. The mix grilled family platter had burnt kebabs, the iskender had runny yogurt and not the thick greek style yogurt which makes the Iskender taste nice, but this Iskender was full of smelly meat, felt like throwing up. Another important thing I note about restaurants is how good is their ventilation system, this one was crappy, I think one should visit here after doing a hard labour job and in dirty clothes otherwise once you come out of this restaurant you smell of kebabs, that is BAD restaurant which does not have a good ventilation. Okay some people might like the smell of food after they leave the restaurant but not me. I don't see a different between a low budget crappy fish & chippies that are spread throughout stratford road and such places which make your cloth stink of food. Parking is nightmare on Ladypool road as it is relatively busy foodie road in the evenings. I wish the owner would take note of the feedback and try to improve on the complaints, otherwise its just ANOTHER failed attempt to present Turkish food in Birmingham. CONCLUSION: NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

Yelp
Overall not a satisfying experience in terms of a date night or chill... But at least they had wifi. Food was decent but far less than the standard that "Turkish" cuisine has come to be known for. Service and our aloof waitress really helped in earning a low rating. Food can sometimes be forgiven. Speed can sometimes be forgiven. Ambiance can sometimes be forgiven. Forgiveness of service, however, is unacceptable. Service: poor but not rude Food: most basic level of what can be acceptable as Turkish, leaving much to be hoped for Ambiance: good, wifi available.. if requested...persistently Overall: not worth a second trip.

Yelp
Me and the wife, visited the restaurant last night...we're told some food items not available as they had a good crowd earlier. Then we were told 30mins wait for our food. Food took 90 mins to arrive..only 3 dishes ordered! Ordered yogurt lamb cubes dish, spat 99% of the lamb as filled with fat and ligament, real meat only 1%. Awful customer service, awful food, extraordinary wait for food and charges high compared to others providing a much better service and food. Never coming back to this shit place
