First time dining at Anthony’s Creative Italian Cuisine. Small restaurant that’s absolutely charming. I made a reservation ahead of time. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent waiter/waitress. Food was delightful. For an appetizer I had a classic Caesar salad, for my entire I ordered the Chicken and jumbo shrimp, it came with capers, asparagus , lemon tarragon white wine sauce with risotto. Very nice restaurant to go on a date, or dine with a group of close friends. I will definitely be returning’

Enjoyable Italian byob, the service and food were both really good. Small inside so a little loud when crowded.

We went there for dinner two weeks ago. Rachel was our server and she was very attentive and charming. All of the dishes pictured were delicious! The desserts were the creme de la creme ! They were worth coming back for !

An excellent dining experience,.. the food was phenomenal, fresh and creative. The staff couldn't be more "Top Shelf," and attentive. This place will be our "go to" dining ahead of any event in the Camden / Philadelphia area. Wonderful!

What a fabulous culinary experience… This warm atmosphere is just the place for a date night out with friends! Some of the most delicious 😋 food and lovely staff! The pear salad, scallops & sea bass were absolutely scrumptious! The scratch kitchen even accommodated my husband’s special request and it was fantastic!!! Dont miss the chance to enjoy wonderful Italian food, peaceful atmosphere, and wonderful staff… its also BYOB!!!

Very nice cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. Service was on point and very attentive. Food was good. The soup special was delicious. It was a sweet corn chowder with crab. It was velvety smooth. The chicken Parm was a big portion, loaded with cheese and bowned nicely. The lobster ravioli was stuffed and the lemony sauce was good. The short rib ragu was tasty as well and all the pastas were al dente.

TL/DR: Anthony's Creative Italian Cuisine in Haddon Heights offers amazing Italian food We were strolling around the Haddon Heights holiday street festival and decided to stop in Anthony's Creative Italian Cuisine on Station Ave. We didn't have a reservation, but it was early, and they were able to seat us. SO glad they were able to, it was a flawless experience. The atmosphere is elegant and perfectly lit, our server Janine took amazing care of us. We started with a scallops and bacon appetizer that was served on the bacon rather than wrapped around, it was perfectly sauteed and the bacon was thick and flavorful. When we ordered, we discussed to ourselves (I thought) that we would split a Caesar Salad. It was served to us on two plates, already split by the kitchen. A small thing, but a nice touch. For our mains, I had the Veal Parmigiana and my girlfriend ordered the signature Crab Tomasso. My veal was a huge, bone-in cut, pounded to a perfect thinness and expertly prepared. It had wonderful flavor and is enough for at least two meals. My girlfriend's Crab Tomasso was also perfectly prepared and huge, with tons of lump crabmeat. I can't say enough good things about the staff, from the hostess finding a table for us, to Janine's perfectly attentive service for the whole meal. Great Italian food, comfortable atmosphere and wonderful service in a quaint South Jersey downtown.

It’s sad- I almost feel bad leaving this review but it must be said - service and food started out well- as the evening went on the service and the food declined at an alarming rate. We started with the gnocchi and antipasti Gnocchi was 10/10 and the service was great, to start. I ordered the halibut special, my two guests had the seafood trio. As our mains came out, we all had empty glasses - our server brought 2/3 sodas back and just kinda left me hanging until I had to specifically ask. Halibut was insanely dry and over cooked with absolutely no seasoning. The seafood trio was almost unpalatable. The scallops in particular just didn’t taste like real scallops, were over cooked, which I can understand considering how easy it can be to do with scallops but they were blatantly off. Nothing was seasoned, at all. I found myself having to put salt and pepper on my food to make it desirable. Now- from a culinary perspective I can understand the thought process of “let the quality and favor of the food stand for itself” which would provide insight to the “don’t over season the food” thought process. But that methodology requires high quality ingredients that are cooked perfectly, which this restaurant seemingly didn’t/cant do. This is a 1 star restaurant with 3-4 star prices. For 3 mains and two starters, it was $174. This place is a BYOB so that’s strictly for food only. At $58/person, I’d expect significantly better. For context, I am 39 year old male who dines out 3-4 times a week and have been fortunate enough to enjoy some of the higher end restaurants in major “food” cities throughout the world. I was hoping for something drastically more. Would not recommend, would not go back.

Yelp
Although they have been in business for over 20 years, we randomly stumbled upon Anthony's creative cuisine when surfing through the Open Table app and noticing that they were booked-up between 6pm and 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights. I take that generally as a good sign. The restaurant atmosphere is pleasing overall featuring a house-like setup with a downstairs dining room in addition to two smaller upstairs rooms. My only complaint about the upstairs seating was that the ceiling tiles were very brown from water stains from AC duct condensation or roof leaks. Either way, I tried not to let it dampen our enjoyment of an otherwise elegant experience. Our server's name was Brandon and he was on point all night and extremely friendly and helpful. We will request him again on our next visit! The food was great. We ordered enough for an army although it was only my wife and I out on a date. We each got a salad and they were both delicious. Mine was a Caesar with homemade croutons and dressing and finished with shredded Asiago on top. My wife's was a spinach salad with roasted red bell peppers and a warm bacon dressing/bacon pieces on top. These salads are huge and each could easily satisfy 2 people. We also ordered an appetizer of fried calamari. This was perhaps my favorite course of the meal. The calamari were not heavily breaded, perhaps a dusting of flour or cornstarch, and they were so crispy and tender without any hint of chewiness. A must try for calamari lovers. Our meals were bone-in veal chop Parmesan with side of spaghetti (the veal was tender, with a crisp on the edges and was topped with copious amounts of mozzarella), as well as the homemade gnocchi in a blush sauce with dollops of nut-free pesto and some fresh mozzarella. Both were very delicious. Finally for dessert we split a new offering which was a chocolate cheesecake layered with chocolate cake. It was pretty average I would say. The portions were generous and we literally had leftovers from each course we ordered. We left the restaurant looking like julia Roberts from "pretty woman"' walking out of Bloomingdale's (or wherever) with 2 bags in each hand and a big smile. Overall a great date night place - just fix the ceiling tiles . Funny enough, a man at the table next to us told the waiter to tell the owner that he has 8 new boxes of the exact ceiling tiles in his garage and he'd be happy to give them to the restaurant lol. Well, I digress - anyhow I confidently can highly recommend this spot for your next romantic or family Italian dinner.

Yelp
We decided to make a reservation to try Anthony's for our anniversary last night and were very pleased! Our waiter, Brandon, was so friendly and made our experience a great one! We were seated right at the time of our reservation in the upstairs section. The restaurant was extremely quiet even with it being crowded. We started with the special strawberry salads. The strawberries were extremely fresh and vinaigrette and Asiago cheese made it very tasty! The complimentary bread and olive oil were very unique. The olive oil was some of the best I've had with a strong olive taste. For entrees, we had the pesto and burrata gnocchi and boar bolognese pasta. They were both AMAZING! We finished with the chocolate chip cake to share. This cake was extremely good as well and I am interested to see if you can buy it from them. We really enjoyed our experience and all of the food! We will definitely be back and tell all our friends about how great it is here!

Yelp
Came for Mother's Day. Not overly crowded and they did not rush us through. Food was excellent with large portions. Service was great. Friendly and attentive. Will return to try more dishes.

Kim N.

Yelp
Wonderful dinner from beginning to end. Everything was delicious and we ate like Kings! The service was very attentive and Rachel was knowledgeable on any questions that we had. Got to meet the main man Anthony when he came to say hello to our table. Everything was spectacular and will definitely be back in the future.

Yelp
My family went into Anthony's for a birthday dinner for 9 people. We are all hospitality people in one way or another and Anthony's won us over!! Service was smooth and friendly and very accommodating to our lone vegan guest. We shared the antipasto platter.. scallops and calamari that were all flavorful and ample! Dinner was a mixture of Ribeye. Pasta and shrimp with Chicken that was delectable and light! We finished off with desserts done ordered and some complimentary. Highly recommend this neighbor spot that treats you like family

Yelp
We had a gathering at our home for about 30 people. The food was incredibly good and the presentation was outstanding! Thank you so much for working with us on choices and prices. Your effort shows in the wonderful selection of foods and the careful kind way you helped stay in our budget. We are most grateful for all your direction. We really think it would be impossible to find better food and service.

Lori L.

Yelp
Food was decent, service was okay. Nothing to rave about. Can accommodate larger parties

Michael C.

Yelp
Old school kinda place which we love, big plus BYOB. Wait staff very knowledgeable regarding menu, menu details and nightly specials. Food is above average from soups, appetizers, entrees, right through desserts. Located in a small very cool town in south Jersey.

John J.

Yelp
Food was good but could have had more vegetarian options. The service was exceptional. Very nice quiet restaurant.

Steve H.

Yelp
Another fine meal at a great byob! The special was Australian lamp chop, the chef prepared perfectly! We also enjoyed soup of the day - tomatoes basic garlic cream! Then other dishes was seafood with Pappardelle pasta, chicken with shrimp & Bronzino with shrimp! Dessert was salted caramel gelato & Crème Brûlée. Great coffee menu BYOB too!!

Tina V.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Wonderful atmosphere. Started with the crab bisque, calamari and had the halibut for my entree. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Definitely will be back!

Wenjun K.

Yelp
l was taken out my my boss,Poma, she is very nice, kinda like a casual interview, we went there during noon time. It's a small restuarant and full of people, relatively quiet one, quite a lot of them are actually seniors, they are definitely locals, so l know this place definitely gonna be good.So if you go there, definitely recommend you reserve first. The interview went well, not interupted by surrounding people at all, and partially maybe the food gives me this good feeling,l mean the food served over there defintely great, l like my grill salmon, fresh taaste, combined with cheif's soup, dinner style of lunch, not doing this often. In a word, based on first impression, l recommend this resaurant if you are on a date, nice environment, friendly server, and budget is acceptable, l would say it's ranked between medium to high end level in a small city.

Emre C.

Yelp
Amazing place, really good food and deserts. Excellent ambient and top notch service.

Angela H.

Yelp
Anthony's really surprised me because unlike any other restaurant or BYOB they have a $30 menu that had really good food to price quality. Example: Particularly the sweet pea tortellini was with lump crabmeat that was not skimpy. You really ACTUALLY get what you pay for. You asked for lump and yes, you get it. Most places try to find ways to give shredded or 1-2 pieces of seafood. It was fine dining in a nice chilled out atmosphere that was not overcrowded. Nearby parking was not a problem and the are located around a few other small businesses.

Yelp
Wife and I dined here earlier this evening. Place looks very nice and we were sat right away. For some reason we had 2 servers for a place that only had like 8-10 tables and only 2 of those had patrons. Us being one of them. Anyway, servers were fine. The issue was the food. We ordered the calamari appetizer which came drizzled with a sauce. It desperately needed some fresh lemon juice, which we asked for. It was also bland so we requested some marinara. We did get that but it was also bland. It definitely didn't taste home made. Unfortunately it didn't get any better when it came to the entrees. My wife had a tortellini dish and I had a homemade sausage dish with gnocchi. Well, again.. both dishes were bland and needed some kind of seasoning. For $22 we expected something better than mass produced quality. We did eventually get some salt and pepper and red pepper to enhance our dishes. This helped with the tortellini but not my dish. Considering we were one of two tables dining at the time we had hoped to get exceptional cuisine but instead were left wanting more. This is a shame because we had a baby shower here and the food then was really good. At this time I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Nik K.

Yelp
Made an reservation for an early NYE dinner at Anthony's. This would be our first visit at this restaurant. Upon arrival there was an awkward wait in the lobby with 5 other couples. Not sure why because we all had a 5 pm reservation and the place was empty. My guess is the restaurant staff needed time to figure things out. Eventually, the hostess called out some names and each couple left the lobby. We were escorted to our table, which was upstairs and was surprised to see so many tables since the restaurant didn't look like it had much space. We started our dining experience with the calamari appetizer and seafood bisque. Both were really tasty. I had the sweet pea tortellini and my husband had the salmon. Our entrees were devine. For dessert, I had the cannoli, and my husband had the mango sorbet. I am a cannoli snob had been searching for a good cannoli. I had one recently at another Italian restaurant, and it was not good at all. The cannoli that I had at Anthony's was an old school cannoli (made with ricotta cheese). It was the kind of cannoli you dream dream about and want to have over and over again. Needless to say, we loved the food at Anthony's and will return again and again.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my meal at Anthony's. My wife and I made a reservation for Anthony's on New Years Eve. It was very packed but with a reservation we only waited a few minutes. The restaurant is an old house that has the layout of a Philadelphia row home, two floors that are thin and long. The restaurant has a very homey feel to it and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The overall service was very good. Their menu is Italian but different. They did not have the traditional Italian dishes on their menu. No chicken parm, chicken Marsala, and very little pastas. It forced me to go out of comfort zone and get something I wouldn't have. I got the Veal Francese and my wife got the filet. We both really enjoyed our meal. The quality was very good and again, I enjoyed the menu. We'll be back.

Annemarie C.

Yelp
Finally was able to try this place. Called for pick up and the lady on the phone was very nice. Food was right on time, delivered to my car. Food was delicious and I even got a coupon towards my next meal. Looking forward to dine in eating when I have the time.

Chelsey M.

Yelp
I gave this 3 stars because the service was great it's definitely a neighborhood place. Although, the scallops were blackened with no crispy side and my halibut has soggy skin. It's a pet peeve of mine.

Angelina P.

Yelp
Amazing lunch with fresh Jersey ingredients! Corn tomato risotto (ate it all before taking a picture )...divine! Peach salad- huge portion perfectly balanced! Pasta with shrimp was yummy. My sister raves about her burger. Great food with generous portions 2 for $12! Service by Kate was lovely. Highly recommend this place

Octavia N.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor! Drop everything you're doing and make a reservation! Every single morsel was delicious! The service is exceptional, our waitress took excellent care of our party of 7. I can't wait to return!

Catherine G.

Yelp
Very disappointing. Nothing creative, just plain weird. I ordered the filet with fresh fig demiglace and polenta and was instead served " the special" filet with a side of ravioli, both smothered in a mustard sauce. Mustard on filet? Mustard on ravioli? This is not creative, it's an outrage! Horrible. The waitress offered to bring me fig sauce . I'm sure that would have been a great combo . We won't be back.

Alanna B.

Yelp
Dined here during restaurant week. The overall atmosphere is nice, wait staff was attention and courteous, but the food is missing that "wow" factor. The food was not overall impressive missing indepth flavors. The food I could make at home, and I am good cook. I want to go out to eat and be "wowed" with complex flavors and awesome flavors that make me happy not to make at home because it is complex or takes too long. The overall experience from the greeting to leaving was great, but the food needs to be "bumped" up a bit.

Don D.

Yelp
Absolutely awesome! My wife and I ordered from the Sunday Supper menu. The food was amazing, both in taste, quality and quantity and presentation. Our meals were beyond awesome. Our server Craig was awesome as well. This was our first time, and we're definitely going to be returning. Another nice thing is it's a BYOB.

Shauna D.

Yelp
The food was mediocre....not worth the price. The server however was great. Very friendly and she knew how to make the best of a crappy situation (covid) I wish I could remember her name as a shout out

Brian W.

Yelp
Amazing place! Highly reccommend pork chop! 10/10. Great service , friendly waitstaff and outside seating

John D.

Yelp
My wife and I were here for dinner on Sunday evening and couldn't have had a more enjoyable meal. We had been here before but never on a Sunday. We took advantage of there three-course meal for $25.00. We had soup, a Caesar salad and then the entree: a shrimp scampi and a beef dish. Every course was well prepared and tasty. We always like dining here since it is small and quiet - and let's not forget a BYOB. The service is impeccable. We expect to return in the not too distant future - probably on a Sunday evening.

David A.

Yelp
Lots of regulars here and obviously no yelpers go here. Got a dukedom with my check-in. Friendly service in a relaxed suburban environment. No glitz but pretty good Italian food. The calamari had three different sauces but was lacking taste and soggy. The mussels were much better. Great white broth and perfectly cooked. A fall salad with apples and crumbled blue cheese was well prepared. Entered were good. Chicken dish was alright with broccoli rabe. Crab cake and shrimp with risotto was good but unremarkable. Signature dish of crabmeat and pasta was fresh and well prepared. Service was good with waitress, Kate, working with chef for twenty years! Got cocolate-cello and mini canollis on the house. Nice touch and very good. Canolli had fresh crunchy shell and nice ricotta filling. Overall a good experience.

Elisa C.

Yelp
Went for restaurant week. Not crowded at all. Didn't have reservations and we were seated within 5 minutes. First course - butternut squash soup was delicious. Pumpkin ravioli would have been good, but came out Ice cold. Second course - eggplant awesome! Dig salad just ok- heavily dressed. Third course - pork osso bucco was the best I've had! Chicken saltembucco was good. Dessert- waited over 20 Minutes for dessert to be delivered while other people got their entrees and checks.

Anthony C.

Yelp
OVER RATED - just like the little tuna. save your money!!! Noisey children, confused staff and high prices!!!

Michelle V.

Yelp
My husband, mother, father, sister and her boyfriend went to Anthony's last night for dinner. We had the best time and the food was phenomenal! My father LOVED their bread! It was restaurant week in Haddon Heights and each course they brought out to you was so good! The service was excellent and the food was even better! We sat downstairs and the atmosphere was awesome! I went upstairs to check it out and it was decorated beautifully! I can't wait to go back again. Also, it was BYOB which made it even better! I will recommend Anthony's to everyone I know. Seriously, one of the best restaurants we've been too!

Donna M.

Yelp
Always consistently fabulous! Anthony and John do a superb job in making sure your experience is top notch! Efficient and friendly staff are always willing to help. Love this restaurant! If you haven't been here yet, you are missing out on some great food!

Kayla A.

Yelp
AWESOME place!! From the staff, to the presentation and taste of the food, this restaurant is amazing. We have been here for a normal dinner, as well as hosting 50 people for a 50th birthday party. This is an all around great place! Would highly recommend!

C S.

Yelp
I've been here a number of times and there's a reason I keep going back, food and atmosphere are both amazing! There's not a bad seat in the place and the service has been impeccable every time. I've enjoyed a variety of items here including pasta, steak, chicken, pork chops and an assortment of seafood... all incredible. Anthony's will definitely be a place I continue to visit for years to come!

Linda H.

Yelp
We went to Anthony's during Fork to Food Week and the food was outstanding! Many creative ways to use local foods and portions were more than enough. Wait staff was spot on and also including a personal visit to the table by Anthony!!Have been there many times with each meal getting better!!!

Maria H.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this meal since this is the second time I've dined here. Valentines Day was not our night!! Things started out well until 10 minutes in. We were on the second floor a table with a bench seat. Next we know a couple with their child was seated next to us. Why not put them at a table that doesn't adjoin a couple trying to enjoy a very expensive meal?? Nooo, we had the 8 year old kicker whose parents apparently thought little Johnny was so cute. Next came dinner. Had to send my still mooing filet back and wait another agonizing kicking 10 minutes. Food came, ate quick and wanted to just get out. Then came the bill. Three items I didn't order and one over charged by $11 that I did order took 3 attempts and $500 in cc charges and credit to get it fixed. Don't think we'll be back.

Brandon C.

Yelp
After about 5 years, my wife and I returned to Anthony's again. We had reservations and arrive a few minutes early. Parking was available directly in front of the restaurant. We checked in with the hostess and had to wait about 5 minutes. They seated us in the romantic window seat which was a real bonus. Since It was raining outside it made the view and warmth inside that much better. The waitress greeted us and explained that they work in teams and shared the menu additions and specials, all of which sounded delicious. When she returned, I ordered a coffee and the roasted tomato and basil soup in a cream sauce and my wife ordered the calamari. Coffee was good not too hot, which is exactly how I like it. The soup was perfection! It has big chunks of tomato and minced basil garnish. I used some bread to dip in my soup too. The calamari came out hot and had little breading. It was my wife's favorite calamari and she loved the 3 dipping sauces that came with it. For dinner, I order the striper special that was served over a pancake, asparagus, and red bell pepper sauce. My wife got the filet special that came with green beans and mashed potato. I was disappointed in my entree. Although the fish had noticeable seasoning on top, lacked flavor and was bland. I was expecting more of a "sauce" but was about a tsp of broth with lots of peppers. The pancake was delicious and reminded me of a panko style crab cake but without crab. My wife cut into her mushroom topped filet and it was under cooked. It was medium rare although she ordered it medium. After she ate the mushrooms and beans, she sent it back to the kitchen for a bit more cooking. After dinner, the waitress gave us each a shot of chocolate-cello. It was a chilled small drink infused with booze!! I could have drank 3-4 of them. We entertained the dessert menu but ended up order the menu addition of homemade cookie dough gelato. When it came out, my jaw dropped at how big it was. The brought 2 spoons and we dug right in. It was incredible! Cold, creamy, sweet, and packed with big chunks of dough and chocolate chips. If you like cookie dough, you HAVE to get it.

Stephan G.

Yelp
We had an awesome dinner!! My wife is Italian and a tough critic. Good food. Friendly staff, clean, reasonable & tasty meals. Great place.

Christine W.

Yelp
My two friends and I love this place. We always try to go for the sunset pre fix dinner or the Wednesday night five dollar per course dinner. They have a huge selection and the food is delicious. Since it is one of our favorites I really wanted to give it five stars so I just might change my mind. I don t like to give five stars anymore because people think you are a friend or relative trying to boost the rating. Not so. Just someone that loves to go out and eat. The five dollar menu is amazing. The platters are not skimpy at all. The food is fresh and well prepared. Nicely seasoned and tastes great. I find they change up the menu all the time. The veal chop is to die for since you can t get a veal chop anywhere these days. Nice and thick and done the way YOU like it. Not dry at all. When i say medium it comes out medium. The short ribs over noodles amazing. And the pork chop with bone in is prime period. The meats are top quality. I know because I buy prime and grass fed. There is a huge difference and I feel sorry for those that have not experienced grass fed or prime. People i know try to insist that the local grocery store has the same quality meat. Sorry, but the don t. The soup when it comes is not a tiny little cup but a nice size bowl. My favorite us the cold crab soup. My personal salad favorite is the caesar. There is nothing wrong with the decorations. It is in no way gaudy Italian. It is very clean and basic. I love going here and Elements across the street. My friends and I go and we actually dine and are not rushed out. We sit for three hours. The nice think is the customers are always so friendly. We end up having a conversation with someone close. Highly recommend. I go to a restaurant for the food and not the decor. I don t even notice the decor for the most part. I would prefer decent prices instead of decor. It can be a dive and I will eat there as long as food is great. And it is here. Far better than a chain like Brio. You can bring your own bottle or they have a limited selection of Jersey wines. Town is dry. Ridiculous. However, they do permit Jersey wine through some silly ordinance they passed. Haddon Heights needs to get with the times. Last but not least kudos to Colin and I think Chris is the other waiter. Both, very nice young men and polite.

Tommy O.

Yelp
The food here is so good, and even outshines much of the food in Italy!! Everything from the crab bisque to the delicious salads down to the desserts, and everything in between is magnificent. The owner is not only a businessman, but I think he is also a part-time magician because he makes ordinary food simply delicious!

Jeremy G.

Yelp
I have been a fan of Anthony's for about 10 years. They have consistently been able to coerce me into taking a trip over the bridge to enjoy their offerings. The slightly global Italian fare is always way above average in quality, preparation, and presentation. It competes with the city on every level, except the fact that the jersians have no problem wearing jeans and taking their 2 year olds to a clearly more sophisticated restaurant. The fact that it is a BYO, however, makes the value incredibly attractive. You would have to spend double in the city to enjoy a comparable meal. Buratta, Veal Chops, and ultra rare tuna jump to mind as things to make sure you try. Overall, the consistency makes Anthony's incredibly professional, the staff is wonderfully personable, and the value is outstanding...no brainer. Make a reservation (but leave the kids at home).

Cheryl O.

Yelp
Fabulous!!!! Had a chance to return to this great restaurant during Spring Restaurant Week. Can't wait to return!!! Loved it!!!!

Dawn J.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Anthony's on a Saturday night for the first time. This is a BYBO resturant which is always a treat. We had a reservation and waited just a few minutes for our table. The area that we waited in was drafty and chilly. Other couples waiting stated, that no matter when they come to Anthony's they always wait at least a few minutes. We were seated upstairs with just a few other guests. The waiter was friendly, personable, and attentive. We ordered an appetizer and a salad to share. The waiter offered to serve the salad on two plates for us. We were very please with the size of the salad but unhappy that it came out at the same time as our appetizer. Despite this, the appetizer and salad were both fantastic. We had the stuffed sausage with provolone cheese and the baby arugula salad with the lemon garlic dressing. Although we enjoyed the salad and appetizer, we were both disappointed with our entrees. The presentation of our entrees was beautiful but the meals left us both unsatisfied. My husband ordered the Shrimp risotto. (A dish he often orders at restaurants) Although he liked it, he stated that it was not one of the better versions he has had. I order the Roasted Chicken with shrimp in a garlic cream sauce. The sauce was flavorful and the shrimp was cooked perfectly but the chicken was dry. We order dessert and cappuccino to finish our meal. We were extremely happy with the cappuccino. The presentation and the biscotti were a great way to end our meal. I also appreciated that the cappuccino was served prior to the chocolate chip cheesecake. Both the dessert and the cappuccino were fantastic. Despite a great beginning and fantastic ending to our meal, we both were disappointed with our entrees. For the price we expected more.

Yelp
A friend and I decided to see if a table was available during Farm to Fork week for lunch on Friday. We only waited about fifteen minutes before being seated at a table outside. We'd been given the option of waiting for indoor seating, but thankfully the heat wave had broken and we opted for the nice breeze. Rather than navigate through what sounded like a busy dining room, the hostess asked us to go back through the door we'd entered to meet her outside. Our table had an umbrella and was plastic with a wood texture design. The central X-style leg/stand of the table was restrictive. The waiter gave us time to look over the menu and ask any questions. He was very pleasant and provided quality service. The first courses arrived nested in the center of dishes with broad edges. For my escarole soup, this was fine--not so successful for my friend's grilled sweet Italian sausage and peppers. It was delicious. His dish included caramelized onions and roma tomatoes with olive oil & balsamic, and the dish made some knife & fork work a bit awkward. For my part, the escarole soup was not piping hot, but warm all the way through. It included tomatoes, shredded chicken, and some egg drop! It was lovely but could have used more escarole. While my friend had the roast beef sandwich, I opted to spend an extra $4 for the crab tomasso. It was undoubtedly worth a few extra dollars. The blush wine sauce was not overpowering, just complimented the tomatoes with a nice balance, and the chef did not skimp on the crab. While the dish did not taste heavy, I found it filling and was only able to eat about a 1/3 of it. Perhaps I should have avoided the fresh bread we received before ordering, but why on earth would anyone do that? The bread was warm, crisp on the outside, and soft & refreshing inside. Mm.

Yelp
We came here Friday night for Date night! BYOB, amazing food, intimate setting, romantic, quaint! The food itself was delicious. Immediately you're given warm crusty bread with olives, eggplant, etc. Yum. From there, we moved on the mussels appetizer - talk about heavenly. The perfect amount of sauce. The mussels were cooked so well - not fishy or chewy at ALL. The sauce was perfectly salted, fresh, and light. For our meals, I have the roasted beet salad with honey goat cheese and fennel. Super yum. The beets were cooked just right. My husband had the shrimp (name I cannot spell here that begins with an M) - AWESOME. The pasta was al dente. The shrimp were cooked so well. Yum. Cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
Today we had a combo luncheon for our oldest daughter Elizabeth's confirmation and our youngest daughter Evelyn's baptism at Anthony's. From the minute we walked in the door everything was perfect! Our waiter and waitress made sure our guests had plenty of drinks and appetizers. They were so attentive and personable. The caesar salad was the best we ever had! All of the entrees came out at the same time and were delicious!! Every entree and dessert had personal touches that my guests noticed and enjoyed. Thank you to Anthony and all of the staff for a wonderful luncheon today!

Yelp
We arrived a little early for our Valentine's Day weekend reservation, but were seated almost immediately. The ambience was romantic-- dim with a candle at each table; not too loud either. The service was quick and the waitress was attentive, however she was a little pushy about ordering appetizers. The warm bread came with olive oil, as well as a tomato and artichoke mixture, which was a nice added touch. The food was only ok though, especially considering the high price point. I ordered the tortelloni that came in a rich, creamy sauce, however it had no flavor. I rarely add salt and pepper to my meal, but this one needed it. My husband ordered the almond encrusted salmon that also came in a creamy sauce, but this one had more flavor. Overall, our experience was good, but not great.

Yelp
Love the olive oil and crisp Italian bread to start off! The espresso is....perfecto! We made it back for restaurant week and I had Cajun tuna with Wausau drizzle. It was fresh and flavorful! Next I had the Lamb ragu with homemade gnocchi....it was excellent! That's what I call gravy! For my entree, I had the fall off the bone, slow roasted pork with mashed sweet potatoes and fresh string beans. How the hell does this place only have 3 stars??

Yelp
Haddon Heights is lucky, two of South Jersey's great restaurants (Elements) across the street from one another. This is the more conventional of the two but good eating all the same. I've dined here several times and have not been disappointed. Food is what I would refer to as updated Italian. Not the red gravy style and not the heavy gloppy meals that pass for Northern Italian around here. Just good ingredients done up in a lighter flavorful way. I started off with a spicy sausage bean soup that was swell. Beans and sausage in a spicy red broth. I followed this with the rack of lamb that was tender and served with a great mushroom sauce over Yukon gold mashed potatoes. My dining companions all had different entrees and all were quite happy with the picks from the stuffed rigatoni to the ciopinno. Haddon Heights must be off the beaten path seeing that Anthony's only has a few reviews. I would say its well worth a trip. Don't forget it is BYOB.
