"One can never go wrong with Italian comfort food. Over at Anthony’s Eatalian, load up on hefty pasta and hearty pizzas. They are an excellent first stop before heading to Cedar Springs for a night out." - Courtney E. Smith, Alex Gonzalez

Dined in for Valentine’s Day since we’ve ordered takeout from here a few times. The staff members are friendly and creating a reservation was easy. The ambiance was enjoyable and I loved the small touch of fresh carnation flowers for the occasion. We did dine in early (5-6) so it was quiet. I would’ve loved to hear a faint sound of music to jazz it up. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer, salmon pesto pasta, baked ziti, and the chocolate mousse cake. The food was okay. I was a bit disappointed with my salmon being overcooked, but the sauce from the pasta was good. Both of our dishes were piping hot, which we absolutely love. Overall, we gave it a 6 out of 10.

Google
The service was excellent, and the atmosphere cozy. I ordered the toasted ravioli appetizer, and it was excellent. For dinner I ordered the Veal Marsala. The pasta was great and the marsala sauce was as well and loaded with mushrooms. The only thing stopping this from being a better review is that the veal was slightly overcooked and tough.

Google
Ordered bruschetta which was good but it came out like garlic bread with a spread of tomatoes etc. their picture shows each piece with tomatoes etc on top and a balsamic glaze. When I asked for the glaze they were out. Also ordered lasagna and it was burned so bad I couldn’t cut through the bottom layer. I showed the waiter the picture of the bruchetta advertised and the burned layer of lasagna. He showed me someone else’s lasagna that looked like ours. I explained it was on the bottom and burned and showed him how you couldn’t cut through that layer. We also ordered a side salad we never got. Not sure I’ll be going back.

I had A very nicely done Chicken Marsala served over Fettuccine and my friend had a pasta primavera. Both entrees were delicious.

Google
Italian places you must try in Dallas include this place! Family vibes, great customer service, and even better food. Today I got the lasagna & a Caesar salad, along with delicious tomato bisque soup. Will be back to try pizza!

Google
I had a great first time dining experience. The ambiance was pleasant. The facility was clean. My waitress was friendly and helpful. She suggested several items. I chose the lasagna and Caesar’s salad. It came out timely and was delicious and hot. I was very impressed with the quality at the price point. Thank you!

Google
Came on a weekend for lunch, not too busy, service was friendly and fast, portion sizes were very generous, and the food tasted fresh and delicious. We ordered chicken Alfredo and spaghetti with meatballs—this was a bigger portion size and tastier than Olive Garden, hitting similar flavor notes if you’re a fan! Chicken was tender, complimentary bread and oil/balsamic was hot and tasty, large portion sizes of side Caesar salads. We sat at the covered patio which was comfortable and out of the sun and wind. Our waitress said they will be moving down the street soon. Will definitely be coming back.

Google
When we dine the other day it was very clean. The food was like 3 and 1/2 Stars. Nothing amazing but nothing terrible. I work near the area and would go back for lunch. Very fast service. Very nice people.

Kate C.

Yelp
This is a cute little, Italian restaurant with a small but tasty menu. The food was delicious and so well-priced coming from Boston. Our servers were very nice and friendly. They have high chairs available and they are definitely a kid-friendly restaurant.

Edward D.

Yelp
Ordered delivery of spaghetti with meatballs. Food was tasty. Wish it had more sauce. I would order from there again.

Lita E.

Yelp
Everything was good except the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. There was barely a teaspoon of sauce. Huge disappointment.

Sandy O.

Yelp
Good food! And staff was very nice and attentive. Very nice and clean. We had chicken Marsala and pizza!

Matt S.

Yelp
Little update from this place, after the poor handling from September 7th, they did indeed refund my money, then went back and recharged me! (Never received my food) How slimy can a company be? For anyone that reads this, one of the most fowl and dishonest business's I've ever come across. Stay away!

Dave G.

Yelp
Native NYer here - can say without a doubt that Anthony's is a solid solid option for pizza outside of the Northeast! Pie has a great char, flavors are on point (Had the White Pizza) and they're quick within 20/25 minutes from order to pickup. This is a great local place that has an upscale vibe to the interior, and great service. Highly recommended you give the pizza a try.

Kathy L.

Yelp
Food is good, simple. Very nice wait staff. Neighborhood gem, it seems. Moving location across the parking lot.

Linda O.

Yelp
Ordered last night for the first time for delivery (which was very fast from Door Dash-no complaints there). However, the Chicken Alfredo with Chicken was VERY dry, and the Veal Parmesan very disappointing with two small pieces of way over cooked veal with crispy edges! A complete waste of good veal. Both entrees looked like they had been prepared ahead of time and just kept warm, certainly not 'made to order'. As I live 1.5 miles from the restaurant I cannot contribute the state of the entrees to the delivery time. Also ordered 2 small salads, one was correct, the other was not. With all the other choices out there, I will not order from this restaurant again.

Yelp
I received a gift card from a clients to Anthony's Eatalian. I been working in the area for over 15 years. Never once ate at Anthony's. So decided to use my gift card and bring home dinner for my roommates birthday. So mind you, first time every ordering. I had called to order but their phone system was horrible. I couldn't understand what she was saying. I called back and same thing. So I came by and ordered it. They said 25 minutes. So I went to the grocery store next door. I asked them if they could put extra bread with it. So when I got there to pick up. My order wasn't put into the kitchen.. grrr. More waiting. I asked again can you make extra bread put in. So got home. No receipt on my food. 2 tiny peices of bread. The 2 tiny pieces not even a size of a single bread stick at Olive garden. Wow. Really??? I called they said I could come and get some. I told them several times that live in Carrollton That 20 minutes away. No thank you. My portion was lunch size. Positive note.... roommate food was awesome and very large.

Yelp
I eat here regularly, and waiting on a pizza order as I type this. This is a cozy, neighborhood-feel place with good food and attentive service. I'm happy this place is nearby, it's convenient and reliable. Deserves a higher rating, especially for in-house dining.

John T.

Yelp
Jeez they really can't pack food at all!!!!! $150 but now $500 rug damaged cause they cannot pack anything properly. 1, ok, 2, maybe they have new staff, 3, we need to find a new place to get food, now after a 2 month break of being sick of our food being completely sauceless cause of the not shutting a lid. I'm losing it cause we opened the first bag looked like someone killed someone sauce everywhere! Jeze Idk if we can do this again. I really love the food but it's just a let down and kills the want to come all the way from University Park. Sucks I've searched for the same type of pasta no luck but the problems are starting to out weigh literally.

ML W.

Yelp
I loved my Baked Ziti and Toasted Cheese Ravioli! Fresh and delicious! I'm so excited to have yummy Italian in the neighborhood! I'll be back, trying pizza next

Howard A.

Yelp
First time visiting Anthony's. All our food was spot on. Stuffed shrimp for starter. Wine choices were great too.

Wade C.

Yelp
Went for first time yesterday and didn't get to eat. Had high hopes as a neighborhood, family owned business with plenty of staff. Reservations didn't seem to matter; made online but staff didn't bother to check so they were unaware. Wanted a pasta with marinara rather than butter sauce but not allowed the request. Was told by waiter that the kitchen was too stressed for special request, and manager was too stressed to speak to us. The request was to put a different sauce over vegetables. Showed that entrees must be premade and cannot be changed. It appears they are opening a second restaurant in the same center, but don't see success when the smaller restaurant is in such chaos. After reading reviews, looks like take out is not the solution either. Don't go hungry.

Leslie K.

Yelp
First off, they did not have our reservation that I made through their app. Second I ordered the pasta primavera and requested marinara instead of the butter sauce. The waiter said I could not order it with marinara and I proceeded to show him all the pastas that had marinara sauce. He came back and said the kitchen was too "stressed" and would not substitute the marinara. I then asked for the manager and he refused to find him because he was busy. On the way out the manager was at the front desk. He was told that they lost our reservation and he asked when I made it which was not my problem and that they didn't see the email. Again, not my problem. I told him I wanted marinara on my pasta and he told me also that the kitchen was "stressed". When I told him I would give him a bad review, he decided to relent. By then, we decided to leave. The other issue is they are opening another Anthony's Cucina Rustica in the same shipping center. I have doubts since they cannot run their current restaurant. Terrible service, unorganized, not public friendly.. I will not be going back there or to their new restaurant.

Mark M.

Yelp
I gotta say I didn't have great expectations but it was pretty good. Good prices and variety. Good service. What I wasn't thrilled about was the "caesar salad." First, IDK if they make the dressing or glop it out of a bottle. It was separate and I had to mix it into the lettuce. Second, the lettuce was plain ol' iceberg, not romaine. I asked about a bolongese sauce and was directed to ragu. Not the same thing at all. Bolongese is a ragu (meat sauce) but not all ragus are bolongese. Tomato soup was good.

R D.

Yelp
Last visit the chicken was like rubber . To tough to eat. Yuk! Did not eat my meal. No one asked why.

Marilyn M.

Yelp
Here we are, another year of take-out and delivery due to this devastating Pandemic, staying safe and ultra cautious by avoiding as many public places as possible. Anthony's is a fairly close spot to home in the Marsh/Forest Lane area just south of LBJ, so we place order and make short drive to pick up. This family owned and operated spot has been recommended by several friends and neighbors, and we weren't misled. Very impressed! Order and curbside pick-up was fast and easy! I ordered Fettuccini Chicken Alfredo and friend ordered a "create your own" pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage. Both were ample servings, a definite second meal would be enjoyed. My entrée was absolutely delicious; plenty of very tender chicken pieces with a creamy rich, melt in the mouth Alfredo Sauce w/lots of Parmesan on top. I added some red pepper flakes on top for a "little" kick. OMG, at first bite, I'm in heaven. This is one of the best pasta dishes I've had anywhere! Again, such a generous serving. Note, to create a feel of "dining in", I removed from the to-go container and served it in a nice dish! Friend's pizza looked wonderful; as he really likes cheesy pizza, he grated a small amount of mozzarella to melt on top. Toppings were plentiful, and it smelled scrumptious! He obviously enjoyed it, eating almost half, taking the rest home. I saved some of the best for last: their yumilicious Tiramisu! Luckily, my friend is not a big sweet eater so I had this mouthwatering tasty treat all to myself; so moist & flavorful; love those soaked lady fingers! (Pic of Tiramisu is from their website as I had already dug into it before realizing I did not take photo.) Yes, we'll keep this hidden gem on top of our go-to list and look forward to the time we can be comfortable with an enjoyable dine in experience!

Yelp
I guess the menu prices are just an approximate guide for what you're final check will be. Ended up about 10 % higher than the stated menu price shows. Our waitress said prices were subject to change in very small print at the bottom of the menu. The manager said no problem and left a dollar bill on our table to partly offset the the over charge. This has happened before with the wine menu on a different occasion. Seems very deceptive and in poor taste. On a better note, the food is usually always good.

Linda O.

Yelp
My three friends and I ate lunch here Saturday. The waiter mistakenly gave us the Monday-Friday menu and the prices were cheaper. Not a problem. One of my friends and I ordered the garlic bread and the lasagna. Both were very good. I ordered the house salad. Dressings are limited. I ordered house Italian. I didn't like it. It was creamy, so I used the oil and vinegar on the table. One friend ordered bruschetta. I didn't try it but everyone else said it was very good. One friend ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. She said it was good. My other friend ordered baked ziti. She did not say whether it was good or not. I ordered a glass of Chianti. It was terrible. I think the wine list is very limited. For dessert I ordered the chocolate mousse cake. It was very moist and very delicious. Our waiter was very courteous and attentive.

Linda G.

Yelp
I had my first order from here delivered. I had a full container of spaghetti and meat sauce and lasagne. The lasagne only filled half the container. I called to check, and they said it was right. same price for both. kind of chintzy.

Ej F.

Yelp
This place has become a semi-regular one for us. Great pasta and pizza and good service. We go when we are in the area and it's always been reliable.

Silvia S.

Yelp
I picked up three dinner meals today, including Veal marsala. The veal was so salty, it was in inedible. I called, wanted to speak with a manager to let him/her know, and was told he was too busy to talk to me. I asked the woman who picked up the phone if she could give me his name, she refused. I asked for her name, she also refused to give it to me. She hung up on me instead . I find this to be unprofessional and lacking in customer service. The management should train their personnel a little better.

Chris S.

Yelp
Love their food. This was a takeout and it was ready when I arrived. Great Italian comfort food.

Kathy G.

Yelp
Oh yes! Finally an Italian place reminiscent of the East Coast NY/NJ family places I grew up with. 3 visits in one week, 2 Uber Eats and 1 in person. Although it was 90* we are on patio. Nice cross breeze plus outdoor fans made it tolerable. Delicious: EVERYTHING

William F.

Yelp
Have driven by this place many times and finally stopped in for some dinner. WOW! Super cute place, excellent service, food and dessert was so GOOD!! My girlfriend is Italian from New York and she loved it as well. Already been back twice in three days. Can't wait to try the pizzas!!

Selena D.

Yelp
What I would expect in a neighborhood family friendly everyday Italian place in my neighborhood. Nothing you have not heard of before, everything is done well, tastes great and servings are big enough for two meals. This is not your fancy trendy Italian, just damn good regular foods. Everyone can find something, pizza, pasta classics, chicken classics, parmigiana classics, lasagna. And prices will keep you coming back once a week for your pasta fix ( or eggplant parm fix, in my case. Take all my friends and guests here event though I have to drive across town. They do have happy hour wine specials but choices are limited, wine selection is limited to basics. This place reminds me of my NY hometown place. If you are disappointed, you are too damn fussy!

Angie B.

Yelp
I went in today for lunch. The service was really slow. The server said she was new. When I would try to flag down the owner, he simply ignored me and acted like he didn't see me flagging him down. When I tried yet again, he went and got the server even though she was trying to enter an order in the computer. I even asked her why he was ignoring me. She said he's the owner and he doesn't come to the tables. This is clearly not true because I saw him pouring wine for several other tables. I was there an hour and a half which is bad considering I was the 1st person there right when they opened. I will not be going back there considering how I was treated like I was less than important. Shame on him.

Sheryl K.

Yelp
Best southern Italian in Dallas, BUT in a horrible location ! Please move! Everything here is top notch and I'm Italian!

Robin T.

Yelp
Called in a lunch order specifically referencing the pasta item on the lunch menu . When I picked it up, they charged me the dinner price and said lunch menu orders to go are charged at the dinner price. It doesn't say it on their menu. I guess it would've been OK if I liked the food but the Bolognese sauce left little to be desired, the pasta was mushy and the Bolognese was an uneven Ragu of sausage, beef, peppers, and tomatoes. Not my kind of Bolognese I prefer a more smooth blend. Been in before and was not a fan then but wanted to give them a second chance since close andI work from home pick up to go often. After this experience, I won't be back.

Kevin M.

Yelp
disappointed that ordering a big to go family dinner 2 hours prior and hoping it would be ready at a pre set time is a complete fail. They just told me - after waiting 30 minutes, it didn't print on the printer. At least they just offered me a glass of wine. Cheers. The food is great, so I will certainly give them another go. The past 6 times prior has been great - - 4/5 stars each.

Liv F.

Yelp
Tonight my son and I ate at Anthony's Eatalian. Let me tell you...They never, ever fail us! We went with no reservations. We did sit there for a while before our waiter, Luis, came to the table and he apologized for not being there sooner. He was so ready and eager to accommodate us and immediately brought us bread, which we devoured, mainly because it so freakin delicious! He was cheerful, bright and so much fun. We enjoyed his beautiful uniqueness that we would come back again and again just to have him fill us up with his warm energy. The lasagna was amazing and so large I had to take to go. The salad and the soup are so good. But what will bring us back is Louis and his infectious personality. A restaurant can have great food but a great staff makes the experience even better! Louis, stay the way you are. You are a treasure! .

Marty L.

Yelp
Fantastic meal today! First time we dined inside instead of ordering out. Everything we ordered from appetizer to entree and dessert was wonderful. We tried the homemade Lemoncello by Roman the owner of Anthonys. It is sensational! Our waiter, Luis, fun and very attentive and professional. Met Noel who is new but I expect big things from him. All in all a great meal and a great afternoon! Thank you all. M. Loring

Jimmy P.

Yelp
Absolutely one the most pathetic experiences I've ever had with any restaurant in my life! I have family that owns restaurants that I have owned a restaurant previously. The proprietor would not allow me to order a lunch entree "to go" from his lunch menu. It was during the appropriate hours that they quoted on their menu.He said that I have to order from their dinner menu which was double the price if I wanted to take that order" . I then requested to speak with the owner about this and he came up to me and said "if you don't like the way we do business you can leave". I'm 65 years old I've been to thousands of restaurants all over the world. I've never been treated so rude in my life. These guys aren't done with me. I know a lot of people in the city. I have never been treated so rude and inconsiderate in any restaurant in my entire life. Think twice before you to go to this place.

Yolanda H.

Yelp
I like to support local restaurants. I've ordered the lasagna twice for to-go orders. It is hearty. The first try (pictured) was perfect. I like a lot of gravy/marinara surrounding the lasagna. The second order, I really needed more sauce on it. It was edible and hearty but I would have like more sauce. In the future, I will just check the look of it before I leave.

Danielle G.

Yelp
Small and quaint place. Good food!! They are flexible with changes in your meal, if need be. Intimate. We have come here a few times...and will continue to return.

Roper C.

Yelp
We placed an order with Luis (who is Amazing!). We ordered pasta dishes and asked for extra bread at the time we ordered. When I arrived to pick up our order Roman assured me there was bread in the bag (I asked). I left a good tip on a To go order and went home. Upon arrival I opened the bag and no bread. We called back and Roman answered. He was Extremely rude! He refused to let us speak to Luis, and hanged up on us! When we drove back up here to attempt to get the bread and ordered a glass of wine Roman was the one who waited on us at the bar. As soon as he realized who we were he was very short with us. His attitude was totally unacceptable especially for loyal local customers! We eat here often and to have Roman be so rude was horrible

Amy P.

Yelp
The best pizza that you can find around this area!!! The service was great too. Will definitely be back

Donovan L.

Yelp
Ordered pizzas and pasta and salads for our New Years Eve celebration. The food was good until my mother found, embedded deeply within the cheese, a LOOOOONNGGGG black hair (my mother has silver hair btw) she pulled it out like it was cheese it was disgusting. It was attached to one piece of sausage on her pizza. I called Anthony's to let them know and told them they should be wearing hairnets and should be more careful. All they said was "OK". They weren't apologetic or accommodating at all. No matter how tasty the food might be, I cannot eat at a place that isn't hygienic, especially in this day and age.

Mike H.

Yelp
A nice family owned pizza place with a courteous staff that gives Franki's (across the street and a little bit to the southwest) a little competition. I don't order from Anthony's very often because they use an oddly seasoned ground beef. It throws the pizza's flavor way off. However, my wife raves their plated shrimp meals. Sometimes I actually drive up to this place with the intention of ordering a to go meal and end up walking over to the Tom Thumb close by and getting a frozen pizza that I know that I will enjoy better due to the ground beef issue that I stated earlier and also save a little dough!

Matthew M.

Yelp
I came here and it is a very nice place. The food is cooked to perfection and the place itself is beautiful. Perfect place for a cute date. Our waiter Luis was just great, was super friendly and on top of everything. I will DEFINITELY be returning.

Nord D.

Yelp
Owner (Roman) is extremely rude nasty and unappreciative of customers giving him business. Never greets us when we were regular customers, refuses to accommodate any simple requests. Love the outdoor atmosphere. We have since moved our dinner business elsewhere. Will consider returning ONLY if there is a new owner. He gives us the creeps and makes the dining experience not at all enjoyable. Wish he would sell, leave and focus on getting a job that doesn't deal with the public. His attitude is horrendous!

Sarah P.

Yelp
The food here is good but their SERVICE SUCKS! We will take our business somewhere else where they appreciate customers and are not rude. Some guy named Roman had the worst attitude and he should probably find a new profession. Maybe something he doesn't have to interact with the public.

Megan M.

Yelp
We ate lunch there yesterday and had a wonderful experience. Perhaps it was just because we were in the mood for Italian food, but everything from the atmosphere, service, and most of all food, was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Jason C.

Yelp
Upon walking in, Anthony's is a very charming place to be. I wish I could've eaten outside, but it was to humid for my liking. Though dining inside was just as enjoyable. The modern music played by an acoustic guitar was delightful. Every song was like a game of "What Song is That?". Ivan, my waiter, was extremely helpful. He was knowledgeable of the menu and helpful with questions about the food and informative of the sauces. He cleared the table multiple times, after the bread serving and after the appetizers. He made sure the table was cleared for the next course. Also made sure my soda was properly filled and not watered down. Ivan certainly executed his services with manners and tact. The food was delicious. I didn't order anything delicate to make. Can't go wrong with chicken parm. Though I'm thankful it was prepared as expected. The chicken was cooked to perfection, was not drowned in marinara sauces, the Alfredo was not runny or too think. I wish I could give 5 stars, but overall it was not a surprisingly mind blowing. Though it was above standard expectations. I would definitely recommend eating at Anthony's with your loved would and look forward to my next meal there.

Chelsea R.

Yelp
I've ordered takeout at this establishment a few times during the 'Rona and I can say it is quite tasty and fresh. I haven't really found many good Italian spots that are consistent and on my radar. Until I came upon this place! Their pasta dishes are hearty and the salads are plentiful and fresh. Plus they NEVER forget those garlic knots! You could make a meal out of those bad boys alone. The mozzarella sticks are great as well especially if you do not finish them and eat them the next day. They will crisp up perfectly in your oven! My favorite dish so far has been the chicken alfredo. Overall this spot is fairly affordable, basic but great Italian food. Love the portions. Order a few things and share! I am looking forward to trying some more items on the menu. Great for a Netflix / comfort food kind of night.

Kathy F.

Yelp
5 Stars across the board for Anthony's. My coworkers and I come here at least once a week, sometimes even more. They have the best pizza in Dallas and all of their food is amazing. Great service, great owners and I'm getting hungry just posting this. I will not go any where else for Italian. Matter of fact it's lunch time now so I better go get my fix!

Richard C.

Yelp
Mann, this has to be the best spinach dip I've tasted. Overall this restaurant is amazing, amazing staff, amazing environment & amazing food

Adam F.

Yelp
Excellent service, super friendly staff, and really great pizza. Fully recommend if you're looking for a little comfort Italian food

Rose M.

Yelp
Great prices for a local Italian spot. Tables fill up fast and they don't have a real indoor waiting area, so plan ahead. Never tried anything I didn't like there! Extensive wine list.
