It's a nice Anthropologie store in the Stanford Shopping Center, and as far as Anthropologie stores go this one is on the fancy side. There's a whimsical corner of the store that sells live plants. The store is well stocked, and the staff is polite. The merchandise selection is varied and broad. Four stars because of the pricing - even clothes made of synthetic fabrics have quite high prices.

My wife and I recently visited this store and had one of the worst shopping experiences we’ve ever had. She picked out several clothing items, and one of them was from the discount rack clearly marked with a red tag showing a lower price. We tried it on, liked it, and decided to purchase it. At checkout, however, the system did not reflect the discount. When I pointed out the red tag, the cashier called the manager, Csar, to resolve the issue. Instead of apologizing for the mistake or honoring the clearly marked price, Csar told us “we didn’t tag it, customers could put a tag on it.” That statement was not only dismissive but also insulting, essentially accusing customers of tampering with tags rather than acknowledging the store’s responsibility.

They have elevator and a bridal section, the staff is helpful although they always see to be in a rush. The fitting room requires to be line for a while so the payment process. They seem to close 15min early to what is advertised and they ca be rude on telling you that you need to leave soon. They used to have a restaurant that was ok, not sure why they closed.

Rich textiles, vibrant colors, splendid displays and unlimited space makes it a pleasure to the eye in discovering this store. Peruse the two levels, the different themes in each open-ended "departments." Feast your eyes and splurge, although prices are as opulent as the store is lavish and discounts only seem to be limited at only 25% off. This is an expensive, high-end shop with a focus on textiles and fabric and design. It's incredible how much thought and detail is put into each area: kitchen, furniture, denims, dresses, beds, plants and succulents, even a bridal dresses section.

Came in Sunday morning with my daughter to try on wedding dresses. Her wedding is in May of next year. Because they sell apparel and other goods, their wedding area is rather small compared to a boutique that caters to wedding dresses, etc. Consequently, dress choice is limited. There were 4 young women trying on wedding dresses. Each had a dedicated attendant to help bring gowns in to the future brides. Everyone wore masks, so that was good. Brides were limited to 3 guests and seating was limited. I noticed a garment rack with an assortment of 10 or so veils. This was our first stop for wedding dresses. My daughter wasn't sure of the exact style she prefers, but coming here gave her an idea of what she likes and doesn't like, so it's a start. Our attendant was knowledgeable and attentive. We were offered champagne or water. Dress prices are very reasonable.

One of my favorites stores. The nice patterns , nice fabrics and nice design make this store stand out. This location in particular has a section where you can admire and buy gorgeous plants, some of them you might think are fake but are actually pretty real. Also the design of the store is beautiful, in every corner there are things to admire. Just go there and the environment of the store will make you feel good. Give it a try.

My husband and I came across the moss wall art displays at Terrain back in Jan while browsing around various shops at Stanford Mall with a friend. I was intrigued by them and thought we could use something similar for the empty space above our fireplace at home. I wanted to hang some kind of art other than a painting there, anyway. I did some research online and found similar art work on Etsy. However, I wasn't comfortable ordering online for something the size we wanted without seeing their actual work in person. When our daughter was in town at the end of March, we went to Terrain again to get her opinion and to discuss with the staff there in more detail before deciding to order a single custom art piece. We talked to one of their designers, Reid, about the different options, and told her our budget, the size, the wood pieces and decorative elements we liked. Reid was incredible and so easy to work with. She sent us photos of her beautiful initial design of the moss art base and some decorative options after about a week. After exchanging a couple emails and talking on the phone with her, we stopped by to look at some of the elements in person as we're in the area that day, anyway. We loved how Reid refined the piece based on our feedback, and always kept us posted on any changes in price estimates. The end result looked stunning! When we picked up the moss art, another staff took great care in finding a large box and wrapping it so that we could bring the piece back home safely. We really appreciated it. I signed up for Terrain text message and got a 10% off code. They honored it at the store, as well. Every time we're in the store, we always found something interesting to look at, and the staff were super friendly. It's been more than 6 months, and the moss art still looks great. We love it!

Probably one of the largest and most unique Anthropologie store I've been to. This store is huge, has the typical clothes, accessories and household decor plus a plant section and a wedding shop upstairs. It is clean, organized and spacious. It is within an outdoor mall. Very nice experience.

This Anthropology is the biggest and best I've ever been to. In Stanford shopping center close to Bloomingdale's North face and McDonald's. There is a sale and clearance section upstairs 2 nd floor. Clothing here can be found very expensive it then again your in Palo Alto next door to Stanford University. It's busy every time I come here. They even sell wedding dresses here from simple to extravagant. Don't know about their return policy. This is a popular store for women and looks like it will be here for a long time.

I love love love anthropologie, but the people working here at the Stanford store either make you feel like you're not good enough to shop there or they are so slow and don't really care that you've been waiting. Either way, great products but not really caring to their customers.

Anthropologie is a nice women's clothing store...sunny rustic and years ago in Rockville MD...Anthropologie was at Union Square...visited this one too...Palo Alto is nice...quiet...

Whoever hires employees at this location does a GREAT job. Every staff member I've bumped into in the store has always been super friendly and helpful! It also is a huge, beautiful, bright location, which I really love, and there is a great selection in every section. I actually mostly love coming here for their home/kitchen items, but everyone knows they also have such cute clothes! It's also a great place to get gifts that people are sure to love. One of my favorite stores at Stanford!

I love the smell of the store! Randall is such a nice employee and we were talking about how delicious the lotions are. I like the grapefruit because it's smooth and it feels good on my skin

This is a review for the wedding dress department. My fiancée Lucy loved her experience here and she was helped by the amazing Alexandra! Alexandra was very kind and patient, answering tons of questions and pulling many different sizes. We had a super compressed wedding planning timeline and having the dress buying process go smoothly with help from Alexandra took a huge weight off our shoulders. I'm excited for the first look!

I stopped by the other day to purchase "Days Last Light Fresh Sea Salt Eucalyptus Reed Diffuser" for my sister. She really likes this scent and couldn't stop thinking about it. We used it right away when we got home and the scent is so...satisfying! I stopped by again the next day to purchase another one. I pray they don't discontinue making this scent. Cute store and lots to browse through.

This is the biggest Anthropologie in the Bay Area, I believe. They have a wedding dress shop and plant shop too. This is a 2 story store with lots to look at. I've been to the one closer to my home in San Jose, but this one is worth the 45 minute drive. Although, I didn't buy anything when I was there, I tried on this stunning green silk dress from Reformation. It was just too costly so it's on my watch list if it goes on sale. I saw a purple dress while lining up to try on the green dress and the sales person said she could grab my size. She also noted the brand runs small. She was super helpful. I also love that almost everything I've tried on feels and fits great on me. Usually with other stores, it's very hit and miss. This store is great for those who are in between ages-- for stores too young of a style to stores too mature. Very good selection and great quality. I just hope that beautiful green dress goes on sale!

As other reviewers have said, many of the staff is not friendly. But my biggest complaint about my visit this week (besides the rude young woman who put me in a dressing room) is that the dressing room was filthy. There were dustballs and hair on the floor, and crumpled-up paper shoved in the corner. I definitely did not want to take my shoes off - it was just gross!

just had my first dress appointment at BHLDN! AMAZING TIME, SERVICE, DRESSES, WOMEN ETC. i worked with destanie and i couldn't be more happy with my experience and the dresses i tried on! my girls were able to pick out their favs, i picked out mine, destanie made suggestions. out of 7 gowns i went home with 3 favs and 1 maybe! i'll be deciding and bringing my mom back for another great experience

This store has amazing products but the employees try to hard to look busy and should instead spend time helping customers. I spent a bunch of time in a checkout line with one cashier checking folks out while 3 other employees chatted and cleaned counters.

An anthropology of Anthropologie: "The rapid fall of this fast fashion brand could be predicted by the consistent Yelp reviews highlighting a mixture of ineptitude and arrogance displayed by customer facing employees. In 2025 the company filed for bankruptcy. This resulted in an increase in thousands of job seekers with the skill set of patronizing patrons." Dated March 15, 2026.

I had an appointment with the bridal team and was taken care of by Selina. From start to finish, the appointment was so seamless. I was able to try on a couple of the dresses I had listed when making the appointment, browse the remaining dresses and try on others, and was also recommended one by Selina based off of the details I told her I was looking for. The dress she chose ended up being my first choice! Over the last few months, I've visited 2 other bridal shops, tried on somewhere near 10-15 dresses, and didn't find a single one that I loved. Needless to say, this visit felt like a huge weight off of my shoulders. Huge thank you to Selina for taking care of me during my appointment and for making a huge decision feel so seamless!

Anthropologie at Stanford Mall is now one of my favorite places to shop! Love this place with everything from stylish clothes to beautifully scented candles to fun dishware and top of that this location has home decor upstairs on second floor! On the first floor there is an entire section dedicated to house plants, pots, and even a custom terrainium service. I thought the staff working was pleasant. Definitely a great shop to check out!

They are not open till 7. the close much before that. I guess the employees want to go home early. I drove 20 miles to get to the store at 6.50 and I was not let it. poor customer service! I guess they only care about going home on time. I was planning to buy furniture ( dining table, 6 chairs, bar stools, bed, coffee table, console and some patio furniture) from them online. Just wanted to look at the quality once. would have taken me less then 5 mins to walk by the pieces and take a look. Anthropologie, Palo Alto, you lost a lot of business for your company because of your poor service today! I will go elsewhere where my business is valued. Also if you plan to close at 6.50 or 6.45 or whenever you stop letting people in, change your hours to that time. I drove a long distance in traffic to get there before 7pm.

For the very first time I felt unwelcome after visiting Stanford Anthropology. This is my go to place to release my stress after work. Normally all the stuffs are super friendly and always welling to help. But today I felt racism that I didn't experience in any other Anthropology stores before. When I was about to make a purchase I walked to the girl who was ready to help. I said hi to her in very friendly tone, but no greeting from her. She didn't ask if I was an Anthro member or mentioned any other information. She just handed me the receipt as if she didn't want to get any contact. I was fine because everyone can have a bad day, but as soon as next customer who was Caucasian walked to her she greeted her with very friendly tone and asked her if she was a member and so on. I really hope she wasn't being racism, but totally ruined my day.

Even if you're not in the shopping mood this Anthropologie location is super cute to walk around in! The have a second floor which was lots of unique furniture. The bottom floor is mostly clothes, accessories, and gifts. BUT!!! There's also a fairly sized plant nursery section on the bottom floor that I discovered on my 2nd visit. So bummed I missed it the first time lol. But they have a nice selection of succelents, tropical plants, and even air plants! As well as lots of pots and and plant accessories. Such a nice refreshing thing to see among all the boutiquey (and pricey) stores in the Stanford Shopping Center.

I just did my first bridal dress appointment here and had the best experience. From the moment I checked in with Destanie, I could tell that she was going to be the best person to try on dresses with and I was right! I was initially very nervous going in to try on bridal dresses because of the stigmatism around bridal shops, but Destanie made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. She listened to all my concerns and what I liked. She recommended dresses that she thought I would like and I loved everything she helped me try on. If you're worried about starting your bridal dress journey, Destanie at Anthropologie is my recommendation!! Thank you, Destanie!!

Mary was so helpful. She helped my best friend find Her baby shower dress. My best friend had stated She had been with Mary the previous day for a few hours & she pointed her out to me again. Mary was a little busy but she made sure my best friend was taken care of & even made the best suggestions on dresses & colors. While still making sure her current client was taken care of. Very Honest suggestions. Phenomenal customer service! It was my First time in the store .. I'll definitely be back for my future events. Thanks again the whole team upstairs were so hands on & nice

Beautiful store. I was shocked when I saw the plants in the store! Such a bonus! If I were to die and go to Heaven and open a store it would look like this. Everything is so beautiful from the clothing to beautiful dish ware. If I were rich my whole home would be filled with Anthropologie items. The staff member who helped me was so incredibly kind and I left the store feeling joyful and with some cute items!! Will definitely come back!

I like visiting the Terrain section of this Anthropologie store. It is full of beautiful plants, and many succulents. You will find a few things you don't often see in other gardening shops (such as slipper orchids). And the plants look well maintained. Though you may find plants in good condition, they may be much pricier than the ones you find at "big box" stores such as Home Depot and Lowes, and even at nurseries such as Summer Winds and Yamagami's. The air plants, such as the xerographicas, are an example of this.

I've been a loyal Anthro customer for 15 years. Today I went to my local Stanford location to return a $24 kitchen towel that was a gift. Tag still intact! Since I already had this towel, I wanted to exchange it for other items. I brought my items and towel to the counter and was told that returns or exchanges were no longer allowed without a receipt. I asked for a manager who told me the same thing. I said that I have exchanged items in the past without a receipt and it had never been an issue. He pointed to a small sign by the line stating that their policy had just changed a month ago. I asked if they would make an exception and was told that was not possible. I had to leave with my towel and did not buy the other items as a result. I'm so disappointed about the lack of care and interest of keeping a long term customer! Get with it Anthropologie - be kind and have some flexibility and sense of customer service!

Love love love!!!! My sister found her wedding dress here recently. We were surprised to have found out that this location had a "bridal" section on the second floor of the store. Had a great experience, loved the ambiance throughout the entire store. But what I mostly loved was their "garden" section. Variety of succulent arrangements w/ moss- completely adorable. I do think their clothes are expensive, but I love to look around and again the ambiance/experience

A rather awkward and unpleasant experience for the first time at an Anthropologie store today, mainly at the checkout register. I was making a purchase as well as returning a couple of items without a receipt assuming the associate could retrieve my purchase history being I'm an Anthro member. The cashier, in a rather unwelcoming tone, said it would take longer and asked me some questions but she did manage to find the records. After the return and purchase were completed, I found myself busy folding and stuffing the items into my own bag as she just stood there. She did remind me that they don't charge for bags which I appreciated. Then I asked if they now don't fold/bag items for customers who don't need a shopping bag. I felt like being at a grocery store. Perhaps that's their procedure now? May be she was having a bad day? It just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yesterday, I had a bridal fitting with Brittany at Anthropologie's bridal department. In summary, Brittany was amazing. I went into the fitting feeling nervous, and by the end, I was having so much fun that I didn't want to leave! Brittany made me feel so comfortable and actually excited to try on dresses. She suggested a few dresses that I initially thought would not look good on me but was going to give them a try; I was so wrong. Her dress suggestions were the best out of all the dresses I tried on, and I ended up purchasing one of them! She's a natural and super knowledgeable of what looks good on different body types. Brittany also suggested the most beautiful accessories including veils and jewelry. She made my experience so wonderful and fun, and I left feeling so excited for my wedding day. I highly recommend Brittany. She is an asset to the team! Thank you, again!

I love the Terrain garden shop inside Anthro. I ordered this custom planted trough for my garden room, and this is how it looks about 6mos later as the plants have matured. I love it!! I felt that the price was reasonable for the number of plants and skill with which the container was planted. The moss and rocks gave it a polished look I could not have created on my own.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Anthro. This review is solely a reflection of the service at this location. I walked in at 6:40pm and was immediately told "we close in 20 mins and the fitting rooms are closed." I barely managed to make it to the mall with my two kiddos and now I can't try anything on even though I'm inside before closing? I found that to be very odd and not very inviting. If you plan a visit, make sure you arrive at least 1 hour before closing or don't bother at all.

This is the end all be all of wonder-Anthro-land. Having been only to what I now know were "normal" smaller Anthro stores, I didn't know how big this one could be. It's two floors, has a whole green house section for Terrain pottery and plants, a customize your own furniture section, AND ITS OWN CAFE! Also if you have the app, you can buy online and have it shipped for free to this location, while a lot of other anthro stores don't have this receiving capability. All the staff have been really nice too, even with the lines of grumpy ppl.

Tried on wedding dresses with stylist, Alexandra - she was so sweet, kind, and made the whole process easy and comfortable!

just had my first bridal appointment at anthro with Alex today. it was AMAZING. Alex was warm, knowledgeable and considerate from start to finish. She was able to pull many styles that I loved and helped me consider all the different elements when selecting a dress. I'm torn between two but know I'll end up purchasing my dress from anthro! thank you alex for your time and care today!

It isn't easy finding plus size clothes that fit well and made with quality, much less make you feel good + fashionable. I have bought a few pieces online that I was really impressed with, and I was looking forward to this particular location because I've seen a plus size mannequin and sizes at this location before. Today I was having trouble finding any plus sizes, but kept seeing styles on the floor that were also available in plus online. My husband went ahead and asked a sales associate where we could find extended sizing and was met with an ignorant response. We were told that all plus was in the back, and if there was something I wanted to try on or see if it was available I would need to bring the garment to the fitting room upstairs and ask the associate there. I was surprised, and said that, that was a strange way to shop. The sales associate then tried to gloss over my question by saying, "Well our clothes are already oversized, try a large or an extra large it'll probably fit". We said thank you and walked away. This isn't customer service. This tells me Anthropology doesn't want me shopping at their stores. The sizes I wear aren't worthy of being on sales floor. If I want to shop there and wear their brands I have to order multiple sizes online (not cheap), try them on at home, and then drive to a store to return whatever doesn't work out. But don't worry plus sizes ladies, we get free returns! It's such a joke. I ended up going upstairs to double check, but nope. The second floor had a home section, a large sale section (unfortunately not organized by size), and small empty unstopped Petites section. I really do love the fit, quality, and styles they carry but they make shopping for plus sizes so frustrating. I ended up leaving the store holding back tears and cried in my car. I like shopping from Anthropology because their clothes made me beautiful and confident but today they did just the opposite.

I love shopping at Anthropologie, but my experience at the Anthropologie at Stanford Shopping Mall was not pleasant. I went in to make a return and purchase a dress, everything went well until I was ready to do my transactions. The young girl that helped me was not very friendly. She did not say hi, she did not ask me if I was able to find what I was looking for. No acknowledgement what so ever. I explained to her that I wanted to exchange my return for the dress but she didn't say ok or yes or nothing she did not say anything at all. After the exchange I had a balance for which I told her I wanted to use a couple of gift cards that I've had for like a year and really wanted to get rid of. Her facial expression gave me the impression that she wasn't too happy about my payment method. Most stores I go to and ask to pay with a gift card I get some kind of acknowledgment or confirmation that it's totally fine to use a gift card or any other payment acceptable but not her. At the end of my transaction she did not say thank you or have a good day. Horrible customer service she made me feel so uncomfortable and unwanted. She made me wonder if it was my race, my color or my presence that bothered her. I try not to take things like these personal but this one was hard to ignore. I hope my receipt helps management find out who she is so they can give her proper customer service training.

I've been shopping in Stanford Shopping Mall for many years now and they have the best customer service. This store was recently built and two stories tall. I never heard of this store until my gf introduce me about it. We been to the location in Santana Row, but this place was twice as big! They have everything from housewares, candles, jewelry, clothes, etc. The layout of the store is very clean and organize. The clearance section are even in the right order and the clothes are properly hang for the women to shop. My gf loves coming here near the end of the year sale. The discounts are outrageous! A good tip for the men out there. This is a great place to shop if you're looking for a nice gift for your gf/wife.

Wow, this store is gorgeous! My sister got invited to their pre-Grand Opening celebration and I was her plus one! We were greeted with a glass of champagne at the door and we wandered around to check out this new concept! Passed hors d'oeurves and free flowing champagne and wine! The staff was so friendly, asking us if we need help and what we thought of the store! This Anthropologie has apparel, a large home collection, Terrain (plants and outdoor decor and furniture), BHLDN (their bridal store) and a café. My sister and I check out both floors. Designer shoes, bridal, apparel, sunglasses and bedding are upstairs! Downstairs, you'll find apparel, their beauty bar, home decor, tabletop, Terrain and their cafe! My sister ended up getting a sweater (tops were 25% off) and I bought 4 Volcano bar soaps (smell so great, not girlish) as stocking stuffers for Christmas. I also bought a Volcano hand cream for myself. I can't wait to go back and try their cafe offerings next time I go shopping there with my sister. The passed appetizers we had while shopping were really good and they came from their cafe. If you have money to spend on beautiful things, this is the place to shop!

The upscale version of Free People. Finally a department store sized of Anthropologie. Multilevel store with a large home department. The discounted sale section is located upstairs. All the cosmetics and body care products merchandised together. They jewelry should be merchandised together and not so spread out. They even have their own restaurant right next door. The menu is complicated and pricey. It's a nope from me. Stroller and wheelchair friendly with an elevator. They are consistently moving merchandise around. I wish they wouldn't do that so much. Because I to would like to see what they have to offer. I give the employees their space. But at the same time they lost a potential sale from it. Friendly employees though I'll give them that.

Holy cow. They've totally expanded from this tiny little store on Alma and moved into a department store like behemoth. The lighting and merchandising it insane; along with the required staff needed to run this place. Which accounts for their ridiculously high prices. One bohemian-ish top for $68? I'm personally excited for Terrain, the garden store which gives me plenty of inspiration (they have a no refund exchange policy on plants so just look and don't buy if you can't keep a plant alive)! There's a generous sale room upstairs that recently got expanded into a sales corner with racks and racks of goodies. Shoe department? Yes. Beauty? Yes. Garden store? Yes. Home goods? Yes. Haberdashery? Yes. Linens? Yes. Cafe attached so you can continue your Anthro experience while eating? Yes. They've perfected the skill of having their customers believe that they need every little thing in that store in their lives and opening up their wallets. What can I say? I'm a sucker and Anthro shows up on my credit card bills.

I went for the Home Event I saw on Instagram. I was expecting lots of small snacks to eat but all it was was some coffeecake and mimosa. I had the coffeecake and wasn't anything special, mimosa tasted fine but afterwards had a huge headache the rest of the day! Saw their showroom and heard lots of talking. Went upstairs and looked at some clothes. There is a cafe that's next door, part of the store. Didn't check it out. Not my thing shopping, but others might like it.

I have an addiction to Anthropologie clothing. Their free-spirited, bohemian styles provide me with clothing that is professional yet casual. I also love how their clothes are a little funky, feminine and comfortable, prefect for working mothers like myself. The clothing itself gets 4 to 5 stars, however, this review is meant for the Palo Alto location inside the Stanford Shopping Center. I have a tendency of ordering clothing online and then picking it up at the closest store, which for the time being is the Palo Alto location. One of my bigger pet peeves related to this store is its atrocious customer service. Like other yelp reviewers have mentioned, you always have to wait in line (often for a long time), no matter what time of the day you happen to stop by, or even when there is only one person in front of you! And it's never due to a shortage of workers (there are always at least 3-4 other workers around the cash register, they are just busy talking among themselves, folding clothing). However, my biggest pet peeve is the attitude of some of their employees when you do finally get some attention. I am often dressed casually in typical tech worker apparel and this at times results in getting a snobby attitude (cold stare as I approach the cashier, then talking down to me as I am trying to get my transaction finalized). Avoid this location if you can. Amazingly the Burlingame location has far friendly staff.

I love the layout of this store and they have a plant and garden section. Huge sale section. We all know Anthro is $$$$$ but I do find quality go to items here that I keep for years. Ella at check out was great. Love this store !!

I had a poor customer service experience where a sales associate told me that because I had put on a hat to try it on and wore it around the store browsing that she would message all her co-workers and let them know to follow me and watch me throughout the store to make sure I did not walk out without paying. I told her of course I would pay for the hat, and asked if it be easier if I just took the hat off? It is totally fine if that is the policy. And instead she just said no it's fine, I just want to let everyone know so we can watch you and make sure you don't walk out with it on. Generally speaking, it is best practice not to tell people of color that they will be followed around the store. Also if there is a policy that you cannot try on clothes outside of the dressing room, it's probably best to communicate that clearly and compassionately if you are interested in retaining customers.

Welcome to the land of NO! Anthro makes online returns unpleasant. I kindly explained to the cashier that I was helping a friend that was in the process of losing weight by picking a shirt for a wedding. I choose several sizes and made the purchases online over several weeks. I said I didn't know what her size would be as the date drew nearer and I had bought 1 shirt too small and one too large. The too-small was bought first and as a result, was past the 30-day return policy. I asked if she could check with her manager to ask for an exception. The cashier called and didn't bother to explain my story but instead said..."I have a customer that would like me to make a past 30-day return" That was it, that was the entire call, short, with no explanation of the special circumstances. The manager said NO! Honestly, no empathy, no understanding for a good deed gone a bit off the past the 30-day return. I was issued a store credit card...but the disappointment didn't stop there. I decided I'd use the $140- for online sales again this time holiday decor. No size issues to contend with, I gently scratched the back of the card and the code was scraped away. NO online sale for me! Now, what to do? I nervously went into the store and found some sale items and went to the cashier. I showed her the card, and my return receipt and was told I was told NO I couldn't use the store credit card without the code. OMG! The cashier called a manager that promptly showed up and told me NO I couldn't use the store credit card without the code. That she could get the code by taking photos of the card(back& front) my receipt and my contact info. She was going to have to call for the code and it would take a day or two! She would call me back and give me the code. We're now two strikes against Antho, NO & NO. Why is Antropoly the land of NO, making online returns unpleasant, and then using the prescribed store credit card even more unpleasant, with an apparent flaw in the retrieval for the passcode? The cashier sheepishly said she won't remove/scratch the back of a store credit card as it was difficult. Hence the warning on the back...remove gently... I've shopped at Antro for 20+ years and the return policy has gotten too strict! The tension in the store around this is obvious. The clerks are put in a difficult situation by being told to HOLD FAST to the NO past the 30-day return. Sadly this longtime customer is ready for a divorce, as I'm still waiting to get a customercall me back and to be given the code. I hope, keeping a good customer is at the top of your to-do list. Sadly I am afraid my past fav Antro customer's service department would say NO!

Anthoropolo'JEEZ'!!! A gorgeous store with beautifully designed clothing and wonderfully crafted furnishings from all around the world which even gets a mention on, yes, Family Guy! The prices are extremely inflated but are then reduced dramatically during sales. One would think the staff would reflect the type of store this is and at least try to show a bit of class. It's probably the worst customer service I've encountered in quite a while. No greeting, not even a smile and, in fact, rather rude. If only the staff would spend half as much time brushing up on it's manners as it does with a make-up brush before each shift, I wouldn't be too hesitant on returning.

I am shook, as the kids say, that I've not Yelped about this place. I. Mean. It's only one of my all time favorite places in the entire useless capitalist run retail world. Truly, one of my all time favorites. The amount of insane and vulgar money I've spent here ... they just do everything better--they curate meticulously well, with a keen and wondrous eye for detail, design, workmanship, style, color, flair. You name it, and they will have seen to it. The layout of this store, as with all of their locations, begs and I do mean literally begs to browse and peruse and wander through and get lost it, all the while fantasizing about another kind of life filled with creativity and a sort of lush madness, feverish and euphoric. Their clothing and accessories are as whimsical and full of sass and panache, as is their home accessories such as candles and little knick knacks, the sorts of things you don't really need but when you're looking at it, somehow you wonder, "How did I ever live without this and wouldn't it be just the thing I need for my house?" This recently happened when I bought a comforter/duvet cover in a stunning mustard and flaura fauna print, a sort of India block print not found at your usual shops. They do everything well here, and the secret is to go to their "Sale" section as well as sneak a peek upstairs, which yes, they do have a second level here. They are huge on the brand "Farm Rio," which happens to be one of my all time favorite brands as well--and Anthro carries them. The space itself is huge and scattered throughout is a mix of things you wouldn't necessarily think to place together, but they make it work. We recently went in to return a quilt, and we didn't know it at the time, but this was not something that Anthro makes, not one of their brands, but more another vendor entirely who sells with them ... so returns couldn't be at the store. The manager had to get involved, but she was super sweet and tried hard to be helpful, gave me the right instructions, which I ultimately did not follow, because I found a more direct and proactive approach which paid off better. Though the lines are always always long here, it moves rapidly because there's multiple cashiers at work simultaneously. Btw., anyone who's at all familiar with Anthro, knows their prices are not cheap, not luxury per se, but also not cheap. Though I have never regretted paying even full price for their merch: the quality, workmanship, unique styling, colors vibrance, choices, all of it is insanely terrific and solid. Despite all of this, I would not buy from them if the customer service wasn't top notch but every single time I've ever come here, and it's often, I've been treated with friendly warmth and helpfulness. Love love love!

The temple. This is how my friend Sandra from San Diego calls the Anthro stores! And what a name, because you can really feel like entering in a temple of intoxicating sweet smells from those deluxe candles, surrounded by exotic bed covers (you really want to jump and sleep in those, no matter the other customers watching), the cute useless books of how to impossible be French chic, and of course the clothing so atemporal so to speak. This store is very nice because of the 2 levels and diversification of items. Just worth a visit even if you end up not buying anything at all.

Rude rude staff! I ordered three items (Shown in stock on the website) to be picked up from this store and I can expect to pick those up within 6 hours. 24 hours later, with no status update that the order is ready, I called. The staff on the phone was super rude. She didn't even bother to ask my order number but straight told me they are BUSY! When I asked when I can expect to pick those up, she said she doesn't know (again, didn't even ask abt what I have ordered, or check if they are in stock). She said it could be days. Seriously?! For items that are in stock?! The whole point to pick up in the store is that I can get those items faster! I have been shopping at Anthropologie for 10+ years. Never been so disappointed at their services until now. Saw other negative reviews here about their staff . Looks like they don't really care. I will take my business somewhere else from now on.

i LOVE the garden store here. I love everything there. i DO NOT love that the women who are far as I can tell are not horticulture experts pester me if I am "looking for anything" but when you actually go to pay they say, "Oh sorry! This register is closed!" - I have been going here for the last several months to get new plants and look on the weekly for new shipments and this is the norm. This is the routine. Additionally, I bought a succulent there that had spider mites. This is fine as I know it comes with the territory but the only difference between your local garden center and this place is THEIR CASH REGISTERS ARE OPEN and they DO KNOW HOW THEY CAN HELP YOU WITH ANY PLANT. I hope my irritation is clear in this message as everyone else in that store seems to know how to mind their own business and help you check out but the garden area is abound with uppity women.

Love this store!! This location specifically has a cafe/ restaurant attached to the store. This store is soo huge from plants, clothes, shoes, make up, dental health, kitchen items, to even furniture. I love the over all vibe from this store. Items are on the expensive side, but they do have a clearance section as well. I came here yesterday with my cousin and her family with the intention of only buying one thing, but ended up leaving with two. We ended up walking around the store to see what this one had to offer and it had a ton! So glad we took the chance to look inside. The staff was helpful. I know it was a holiday sale so the store was pretty busy. I highly recommend people to check this store out. There are a bunch of different locations but this one is the biggest one I have been to. I will be back soon next time I am in the area.
