LA City Council Votes to Extend Fee Cap on Third Party Delivery App | Eater LA

"This restaurant's management says they still haven't received reimbursement for the fee-cap difference after third-party delivery apps continued charging the typical ~30% commissions despite a Los Angeles City Council ordinance that caps delivery fees at 15% of any food order for services like GrubHub, Uber Eats, Postmates, and DoorDash. The ordinance, approved May 20 and set to expire Aug. 31, is being considered for extension so the 15% cap remains in place until 90 days after restaurants can operate at full capacity; an August 14 report found 72% of surveyed restaurants were overcharged from July 29 to Aug. 10. In response to widespread complaints, the council has proposed penalties — including criminal prosecution — for delivery services that overcharge during emergencies, while also advancing longer-term business supports such as a motion to permanently extend the Al Fresco outdoor dining program." - Mona Holmes

As a frequent guest of Antica Pizzeria da Michele in other locations, I was a bit underwhelmed by the Palermo branch. The pizza was nice, but not quite up to the standard I’ve experienced elsewhere, good, but not exceptional. The service felt a little inattentive, and the atmosphere of the restaurant didn’t quite capture the warm, authentic feel I’ve enjoyed in other cities. Overall, it was a decent experience, but compared to other branches, this one fell short.

Nice place with great Neapolitan-style pizza, I highly recommend trying the Margherita! The service is fast, friendly, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s located in a nice area, perfect for a casual lunch or relaxed dinner. The ordering process is quick and easy, and the pizzas come out fresh with that perfect soft crust and flavorful tomato sauce. A great spot for pizza lovers looking for good quality and pleasant vibes in Palermo.

It’s a good pizzeria but if you compare with the other location in Naples - Michel has slightly better dough (it’s way more crunchy on the edges). Sizes are very big for the pizzas despite them being thin (as they should be). Overall, good location, friendly service and atmosphere.

The pizza is well made and the restaurant takes advantage of its fame with eat pray love movie. The ingredients used are OK nothing exceptional about them. However for 8€ a margarita the price to quality and quantity ratio is good Don’t miss out on the spicy oil it’s very tasty. Too bad it comes in tiny packets

Having featured in a Hollywood film, the place could have been a lot more pricey and put on airs and frills, but none of that. There are four things on the menu, they are all very reasonably priced and everything tastes so fresh and wholesome. The pizzas are huge by the way, but they're so thin and fresh that they feel light. You have to stand in line for a bit to get in, but the wait is worth it.

The pizza is good, but not the same as in Bari. It should have had more tomato sauce. The dough is perfect amd similal to what we were used to. The prices start from 7-8€. And you need to pay 2€ per person, coperta. The service was good.

i had lunch here and i had a positive experience. the pizza is very very big but also light at the same time. the ingredients are tasty and fresh. the atmosphere is nice and the bathrooms were clean.

We considered this our best pizza in our two week trip between Naples and Palermo. Absolutely delicious. We also were shocked to see a rating of 3.9. Not in our minds. Salad was good also. Happy Canadian travellers.
