This was our first time here, and the overall experience truly exceeded our expectations. We loved everything — the atmosphere, the beautiful food and presentation, and especially our waitress, Faye. She answered every question with such knowledge and care, and we were incredibly impressed by her service. Everything we ate was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Nothing disappointed! We came with family and had the chance to try several dishes and desserts, and honestly, we loved every single one: the Signature Carbonara with chicken, Speck and Dates, Gnocchi Sorrentino, Bruschetta Pomodoro, Polpette Della Nonna, Tortelli Alla Genovese, Panzanella, Profiterole Glass, Coppa Del Nonna, and Torta Del Nonna. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and we will definitely be back!

As self-proclaimed food enthusiasts living downtown, we were shocked to realize this gem has been here without us ever trying it. From the moment we interacted with the first staff member, the experience was far superior to any dining experience we have had in the 15 years we have lived in Salt Lake. Claudio, our phenomenal waiter, describes the food so beautifully you can taste it. Every cocktail, perfectly balanced. For our table of six we ordered four starters and six entrees and one dessert. Every. Single. Dish was shockingly delicious. We ordered the tuna crudo (Tonno and Burrata) and after two bites my table mates started trying it so I ordered a second just so I could keep it for myself. We ordered the Ravioli Sage and Butter, it was the most amazing pasta I’ve ever eaten. I will be coming back frequently, and when I’m asked what my favorite restaurant in Salt Lake is, this is my new go-to rec.

From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in for a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. You can truly taste the quality and care in every bite. What made the night even more special, though, was our server, Luigi. He provided exceptional service from start to finish. He was attentive without being overbearing, incredibly informative about the menu, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Luigi genuinely made us feel taken care of, and his positive energy elevated the entire dining experience. We’ll definitely be back for the amazing food — but also for the outstanding service. Our server Luigi was fantastic. He is so knowledgeable and has superb customer service. He made us feel so welcome and his service was incredibly attentive. Our meal was out of this world, the best restaurant I have ever been to here in Utah. We ordered two cocktails (the dark side & a mule) which were both great. We had the rice ball appetizer, cesar salad, bolognese & lasagna as well as tiramisu for dessert which was brought out with a complimentary cannoli with a candle to celebrate our anniversary we had mentioned right when we sat down. 100000/10 experience and meal. Will absolutely be back and would recommend to anyone!

We had such an amazing experience. ✨ From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed (thank you to the hostess). The food was absolutely delicious every dish was full of flavor and made with so much love. But what truly made the night special was the incredible service. Lauren was our server and she was beyond wonderful; super attentive, kind, and made us feel genuinely taken care of from start to finish. It’s rare to find service that warm and thoughtful. Highly recommend this place if you want authentic Italian food, cozy vibes, and outstanding service 💕

It was our first time dining here, and we decided to celebrate our 15-year anniversary — and we’re so glad we did! The entire experience was unique and memorable. Our waiter, Luigi, was absolutely wonderful — attentive, kind, and made us feel truly welcome. We ordered the Pollo and the Carbonara, both cooked to perfection and full of authentic flavor. To make the evening even more special, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary cannoli from the house — such a thoughtful touch! Everything from the service to the food and atmosphere was exceptional. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Luigi, for making our celebration so special!

The steak was seared to heaven, every bite a joyful tune, Salads crisp as morning gardens kissed beneath a summer moon; Our glasses chimed in easy rhythm, bright with ruby-colored drinks, While stories danced between us faster than the eye can blink. And Faye, our gracious server, moved with kindness through the room, A smile as warm as sunlight, turning service into bloom; Pretty, patient, ever-present—yet gentle as a breeze— She made the night a memory stitched in simple, perfect ease.

This was one of the best meals I've had in Utah, not to mention the best Italian I've had. We had an absolutely magical night at Antica Sicilia. First of all, major props to our server Catherine (and our food runner Mason). Catherine was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about every part of the menu. She made a great evening even better. We came for my birthday, and we were not disappointed. I've lived in Italy and I'm a little picky about Italian food, and this was a really great meal. We started with 2 appetizers: Arancini and the charcuterie board. Both were fantastic. The Arancini were perfectly crispy, with perfectly cooked risotto and slow-cooked meat sauce inside. It was served on a ladle of tomato sauce. The charcuterie board had 2 different types of prosciutto, mortadella, regular and spicy salami, a sliced cheese and 2 types of Gorgonzola. We order charcuterie a lot of places, and we usually come away thinking it was a little overpriced. This plate was stellar, with high-quality ingredients throughout. Absolutely worth the price. The free bread basket that came early to the table was also delicious. The spoonful of red pepper pesto that came with the bread was so good I'd eat it on cake. We had to force ourselves to stop eating the appetizers and bread so we would have room for the pasta course. The pastas did not disappoint. We of course had to order the spaghetti carbonara, since we knew the tableside preparation was not to be missed. We also ordered the pacchero with pancetta and burrata. Both pastas were impeccably cooked and utterly delicious. Both had a creamy sauce with crispy pancetta, which really added flavor and texture to each dish. Throughout the meal we were checked on (but not too often), and we were never rushed or made to feel anything less than welcome and appreciated. I want to give a final and second shoutout to our server Catherine. If every server were as close to perfection as Catherine, then every meal would be perfect. Catherine is an amazing asset to Antica Sicilia. Thank you for a perfect birthday dinner - we will be back next year, if not sooner!

Luigi!! What a treat to have such an amazing waiter along side one of the best Italian meals we've had in Utah! The quality of food is unmatched. We treated our family to a back to school dinner out. Here's what we ordered; But first the house bread, baguette, focaccia, with olive oil and aged balsamic dip, and tomato puree and ricotta sauce - all of them, so good! Sautéed mussels in a tomato garlic wine sauce with charred toasted bread. Delicious, all of us loved it! We ordered a few things off the menu and shared them all. Signature carbonara- made table side, absolutely perfect, creamy, flavorful with little bits of pancetta, you can't go wrong with this dish. Tagliolini - seafood pasta, so flavorful, so yummy, my youngest son was obsessed with this pasta. Mushroom ravioli- so light, so fluffy pasta, delicious little packets of love! Agnolotti - filled with Brie, prosciutto, and walnuts, my personal fav pasta dish, so creamy and rich and sweet with that touch of honey, loved it!! Salmon- yes please! Perfectly cooked and seasoned and melt in your mouth delicious. Desserts- lemon sorbet, all my boys loved this, I was so surprised!! Olive oil cake, perfect, moist, rich, so good! Pistachio cheesecake- wonderful, not too dense and rich like some cheesecake, it was light and fluffy and so yummy! The grandpa, with cream and chocolate was my personal fav, sweet and creamy with a touch of chocolate- hello! We will absolutely be back to try the rest of the menu!!

When you land at the Salt Lake City airport and you're on a mission to carb-load your way to Park City, Antica Sicilia whispers sweet nothings to you in the form of a wheel of Parmesan. I mean... how do you say no to that? You don't. You just follow the cheese. Let's start with the good: the Pasta Carbonara was creamy and rich, like a Roman vacation in a bowl. But let's talk pancetta. Half of it was perfectly crispy and salty like pancetta dreams are made of. The other half? Giant chewy cubes that gave my jaw a workout. I didn't come here for CrossFit, I came for carbs. Then came the gnocchi--which sadly leaned more "weighted blanket" than "cloud-like pillow." I wanted to float into Italian heaven, but instead, I sank into a starchy reality. BUT THEN--Nonna's olive oil cake swooped in like an apron-wearing angel. Moist, tender, flavorful. It's like if lemon and love had a baby. Highlight of the meal, no contest. Now let's talk about the service. And Raul. Oh Raul. Sweet guy, very polite, but seemed like he was in a passionate, committed relationship with confusion. Our drinks sat there empty, just as parched as we were. We had to flag him down for a second cocktail like we were at a baseball game trying to catch a beer vendor. He also had trouble keeping our order straight, and I was tempted to just pass him a note with bullet points. Meanwhile, the kid working next to him? STAR. He was serving tables like he was auditioning for the next season of The Bear. Told the tale of Nonna's cake like it was Shakespeare. We were low-key jealous our table didn't get the main character energy. Final verdict: The food was solid, the cheese wheel had us at hello, and Nonna clearly knows her way around a cake pan. But next time, I might request to sit in that other server's section.

My husband and I came here for my birthday and it was perfect. Service was incredible (thank you Catherine) and everything we had was yummy. Would recommend for a date night or other celebration... you won't be disappointed.

Staff so attentive and gave great recommendations. The Italian beer and pistachio spritz were both great and unique. Bread served first with spreads and oil/balsamic delish. Arancini had great flavor and decent portion. Carbonara and pistachio pasta both so flavorful and rich. Inside is white tablecloth and very much had Italian feel to it.

Visited for a work dinner with a large group and had nothing but a great experience. We had a large group 20 or so of us. We had a set menu due to the larger group and everything was amazing. The stand outs for me were the cocktails, carbonara and branzino saltimbocca were so good. The cheese wheel at your table is also a fun addition to dinner Overall I felt the service was great, especially given the large party. And it was a really nice atmosphere.

If Italy had a love song, this restaurant would be it. From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed. The ambiance? Perfectly warm and welcoming, like a hug from Nonna. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the carbonara. Oh. My. Goodness. Creamy, silky, cheesy, and just the right touch of magic--every bite felt like a celebration. It wasn't just pasta; it was an experience made at the table. If I could marry a dish, this would be it (don't tell my partner). The service? Impeccable. Our waiter treated us like a long-lost cousin, recommending the perfect the meal. Long story short: If you haven't eaten here, you're seriously missing out. Go for the carbonara; stay for the olive oil cake. We WILL be back!

First off, it's always a plus when there's a convenient parking lot--makes a big difference. Don't let the exterior fool you--the inside is beautiful and much more elevated than you'd expect. We highly recommend making a reservation. We came on a Thursday night and it was already packed! Our server, Cristina, was phenomenal--her warm personality and spot-on recommendations truly made the experience even better. The restaurant serves family-style and prepares dishes just the way you want. We tried all the recommended appetizers from the menu, and each one was a hit--but the standout was definitely the calamari. For the pasta, the cheese wheel is a must for the tableside show, but honestly, the other pastas were just as good--if not better. And the seafood stew, ciopino? To die for. Do not leave without ordering it! This place is a gem. Already planning my next visit.

We went on a Thursday, and there was a live jazz band--loved it! Our waiter was super passionate and really knew the food, which is always a good sign. We all had to unbutton by the end because the food was that good. Starting with the bread, they brought out a bunch of different kinds, and the condiments came with olives, tomatoes (or was it red pepper?), and fresh sardines! This is where I made my first mistake... I ate two different types of bread. We ordered the Arancinette Alla Carne--definitely bigger than bite-sized! They were perfectly crispy on the outside, but the rice inside was so tender. The Fritters Di Pesce came in three adorable baskets. The shrimp was as crispy as crackers, and the fresh sardines were so flavorful. They were so good, we had to get a second round. The Polipo Don Pino was another massive portion. The octopus looked a little intense at first, with those big tentacles, but it was super tender and packed with flavor. Totally worth trying. Now for the main event: the signature Carbonara! So creamy, so rich, and the tableside 'show' makes it a must-order. You won't regret it! The Cioppino was loaded with seafood, and the fun pizza dough on top was the perfect touch. Sadly, I couldn't finish it because... lobster pasta showed up, it was the day's special, and my friend got so excited we had to try it. And you have to save room for dessert. Trust me. We had the Tiramisu, Olive Oil Cake from grandma's recipe, a chocolate cup, and cannoli. It was tough to pick a favorite, but 7 out of the 7 of us all agreed: the Tiramisu wins! The warm, light Olive Oil Cake was the perfect contrast. I could go on, but you really need to try this place for yourself. My only complaint? It's a bit dim and dark, if that even counts as a complaint, haha!

Claudio was fantastic - we had a HUGE group of 16 people and they accommodated an early reservation to fit us in last minute. Between us all, we ordered almost everything on the menu. Salads made table side, customized off menu suggestions, never a dry glass, and great live music. No complaints - 5 out of 5 stars!

What an interesting place. It seems a little over the top but we had a good time. My favorite item was the meatballs and the bread that came with them. The carbonara was good but I liked the red sauce of the gnocchi better. We were sat by the back door, which kept slamming, so that wasn't ideal. Claudio and Luigi weren't even our waiters but they made us laugh, which was fun

The service and ambiance are bar none here. The servers wait on you hand and foot. The soft light cabin feel transports you another place. Fun, winter cocktails quench your thirst and are creative. The wine options fit any queen! Do order a lovely table side dish whatever that may be. You get food and a show!!! We had 3 table side dishes, the Caesar salad, carbonara pasta & the ribeye. The stunner was the ribeye, they catch the steak on fire and melt the truffle butter! We shared the mussels as an appetizer, lovely. The bread bowl was nice but make sure to also ask for olive oil and balsamic vinegar too. Our focaccia was left in the oven a wee too long and hard, but I am sure if you ask them they would replace it. Other than that we all had spectacular dishes. Our favs were the ribeye with the truffle butter, and sage and butternut ravioli. The desserts are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Do yourself a favor and order the Coppa Del Nonno, it was OMG good!!!

Had a great experience. The place feels like a European chalet inside. The service was excellent. All the food was delicious. Loved the bread service. Had three types of bread but the real star was the whipped ricotta and sun dried tomato pesto. So good!!! The ceasar salad was pretty good. They make it table side. The bruschetta was excellent and all the pastas were too notch. I believe they are hand made in house. Great for a special occasion.

5 stars, 5 stars, 5 stars!!!!! I would give them infinite stars if I could. To start this is a quaint intimate restaurant. The owner is from Sicily and let me just say that it definitely shows. This might be my favorite Italian restaurant of all time! Our server was Claudio and I cannot say enough positive things about him! He was very knowledgeable, attentive, and a fun energy. He gave us in depth descriptions along with his recommendations of what to order. He continuously came back to refill our wine and make sure we were enjoying our food and time. I loved the slow pace of the restaurant as well. The service was exceptional but we never felt rushed. In fact we were encouraged to take our time and enjoy the wine and food. When you get sat they bring out bread with some toppings. I believe that it was roasted red pepper spread, a cheese with olives, and an anchovy. Once we finished our bread our table was cleaned off and entirely reset for dinner. I ordered the Ravioli Burro E Salvia which was a mozzarella ravioli with an amazing butter sage sauce. Claudio recommended that I add shaved truffle on top to enhance the flavors, so I did. This was my first time being at a restaurant that had really truffle mushrooms and I am so so glad that he recommended it because although it's an extra $35 for the truffle, it was so worth it! Truffle mushrooms are such a delicacy and to be able to enjoy the earthiness and succulence of the truffle with the butter sage pasta sauce was a highlight of my meal. My friend ordered the Filet with Gorgonzola sauce. I do not like steak typically but this was an amazing steak. We also ordered a bottle of the Vosca Chardonnay which was so yummy and buttery and smooth. Finally we ordered the tiramisú and olive oil cake for dessert. Both were recommended by the bartender Matteo and were amazing as to be expected I truly cannot say enough positive things about our experience. This is definitely a fine dining restaurant and the prices reflect that but as do the ingredients and quality of the food and evening! I highly highly recommend for anyone visiting or a local craving Italian. Thank you Claudio for your energy and making the dinner so enjoyable

Food, excellent, service excellent, price acceptable. Atmosphere is unparalleled and live music was perfect volume to enjoy dining with friends and appreciate the talent of the musicians.

I've only been to a couple of Italian restaurants in Utah, and Antica Sicilia takes the cake as my favorite! I ordered the carbonara with a side of chicken and it was incredible. I loved that I got to watch my carbonara be made table side in a huge wheel of cheese. It was the best pasta dish I've had in a long time. The carbonara was creamy, filling, and the crispy chicken was the cherry on top to make my meal incredible. Service was top notch. Our server was kind, attentive, and ensured my friends and I enjoyed our experience and our food. Ambiance is dim lighting, intimate and romantic. This is a great spot for a date or a night with a few close friends. I look forward to my next visit!

My favorite Italian restaurant in Salt Lake! The food taste like it just came out of Italy. Everything is homemade daily at the restaurant. The chef is so nice and Loves to come out and talk to you at the tables the servers are very knowledgeable and make great recommendations. They are known for their signature carbonara served tableside. But the porcini bone in ribeye is also a masterpiece! If you're a meat lover, you have to try the Bolognese the ravioli with sage and butter is a great appetizer to share if you'd like to have a pasta appetizer one of my absolute favorites is the lasagna. They make each one on your plate and it is served with a wonderful béchamel sauce on top. You can't go wrong at this restaurant with your food choice and the service is an authentic experience.

My wife selected this venue to celebrate her birthday dinner, and the young maître d' was very accommodating by seating us in a 'relatively' quiet part of the restaurant. So, to begin, this was a tale of two extremes...nice chef-prepared Italian cuisine offset by exorbitant prices, spotty service, and restrooms that can only accommodate one person at a time. The menu was organized in courses ('natch) and everything appeared a la carte. So, to keep things reasonable (read: prices...which I'll expound upon here shortly) my wife ordered the Caprese salad (tomatoes, mozzarella, oil & vinegar) and the lasagna. I ordered a Panzanelle salad (cukes, olives, tomatoes, onions, vinaigrette dressing, on a bed of croutons) and the Cioppino. My son had the Tagliolini Sicilia Mia (think Cioppino on a bed of homemade pasta), and his wife had the Carbonara. Everything started with a basket of bread and some spreadable toppings. The kids enjoyed their food immensely, and my wife enjoyed her lasagna...but she commented that it wasn't any better that what we've experienced at Olive Garden. Ouch...that's going to leave a mark! Sorry...but true. My Panzanelle salad was laden with small quartered cuke slices...and did I mention that I hate raw cucumbers? However, I was hungry and ate the entire thing. Wasn't bad honestly...as the dressing and croutons made up for the cucumber taste. My Cioppino was meh. The pizza dough covering the large round bowl looked pretty impressive, but after it was cut open and set aside by a waiter the crisp "lid" thinned out and dried up. It was supposed to have been the bread (that comes with the Cioppino) and used for dipping, presumably, but it did not serve in that capacity very well. The remaining 'crust' around the bowl was better (thick/softer) as I pried it off and used that to soak up the 'soup'. The clams and mussels were plentiful but skimpy in what was left to pry out of the shell. I found just one shrimp in the entire bowl...along with a lot of calamari rings. The best part was the salmon in the broth and the broth itself. I just wish I had some Italian bread to soak it all up instead of having to resort to that 'pizza dough lid'. Now...the downsides: 1. "Luigi" did an OK job waiting on us but his service was spotty and irregular. For example, two tables to the side of us either started at the same time or arrived after us and finished way ahead of us. Yes, we notice things like that. I think Luigi got mad at us for having to hunt him down and ask for things like refills, salt and pepper, etc. Anyway, our party of four was seated there for two and a half hours (which included an entire hour between the salad and the main course!) That's ridiculous when other patrons got faster and more attentive service from Signor Luigi. 2. The restrooms were both one-person-at-a-time deals. And there was a line outside the men's room twice when I went to use it. Really? In such a fancy Italian restaurant? 3. The prices were exorbitant. For the four main courses and the two salads, four adult beverages, and no dessert, we got out of there at $289 including tip...and sat there for 2.5 hours as well. No value there, me thinks. Three Stars for good-tasting food offset by lackluster/distracted service, facilities that need upgrading, and inordinately expensive prices. No reason for us to return.

This is probably my favorite restaurant of all time! My boyfriend introduced me to it last year and since then it has become one of our favorite places! They have a great selection of wines and all of the servers are well informed and helpful when choosing a drink. We tend to always get the steak, which I personally think is better than Ruth's Chris, along with the carbonara pasta. The pasta is cooked and served in a giant cheese bowl right by your table! It is amazing and so delicious! We always try different sides as well. Some of our favorites are the shrimp and caprese salad. They also have the prettiest silverware and plates. The atmosphere is very romantic and the service is always great. We absolutely love this place! It's especially great for couples looking to have a romantic night out. They always have great specials for two.

My husband and I had an exceptional experience at Antica Sicilia last month to celebrate a milestone anniversary of ours! We have previously been to this location, but this visit warranted a review! Our server was Claudio and he absolutely made our experience especially stand out from our prior visits. He made exceptional recommendations, while also being genuinely honest about suggestions when ordering! He was incredible. Our meal started off with the classic bread pairing they offer with all meals. The sauces and sardine that came with it were delicious. Any combination you paired into your bite, you were going to enjoy! One suggestion I will always make when it comes to Antica Sicilia is to order at least one of the specials whenever you go. It is NEVER a miss! The specials tend to be particularly pricey, but they are truly worth it. We enjoyed their special prawn appetizer and oh my, one can not truly put into words how outstanding this part of our meal was! Each prawn was wrapped and baked in a layer of filo dough, then accompanied with several different sauces on the dish. You were then presented with a very small pitcher filled the most beautifully executed brine-y sauce to drizzle over the top. This honestly had to have been one of my favorite dishes I have ever consumed! For our main course, I decided to try the Cacio E Pepe and my husband ordered the Signature Carbonara as he typically would. Both dishes were amazing. Their house made pasta is to die for. The Cacio E Pepe comes with a bucatini noodle which is one of my favorites and the made it perfectly. You can't ever go wrong with the Carbonara as well because you get the side table cheese wheel experience. You pay for the quality of food and the experience when coming to Antica Sicilia. We are always excited at the opportunity to return!

I went to this place with a group of coworkers and while we stayed in downtown this place was well worth the drive out. Though it took a while for us to get seated, I believe the host (maybe owner?) was quite apologetic and encouraged us to take our time ordering. The ambience was quite nice - more dimly lit and homey and I quite liked the mini lamp decorations on our table. On to the food: - For appetizers, we had bruschetta, regular bread + sauce, and shrimp (gambero rosso). From what I remember bruschetta was really good. The bread came w/ tomato paste and a ricotta sauce. I wasn't used to the latter but it fit the bread nicely. The shrimp was VERY flavorful. - Main Dish: According to our waiter, the specialty of this place is seafood dishes, plus the pasta being handmade. So naturally I was inclined to try the Tagliolini Sicilia Mia. I got a lot of seafood in my dish and the mix of tomato + white wine made for a very savory taste w/ a little tang. My coworker also ordered the carbonara and it was cool to see it being prepped and taken out the cheese wheel. - Dessert: For dessert I had the coppa del nonna. It was extremely rich in flavor and satisfied my sweet tooth! I'd say it's a great dessert if you love chocolate and are looking for a "smooth," soft dessert. I do want to shout out our awesome waiter, Michele! They were really helpful in explains each dish and even brought a cart out explaining all the desserts. We were on the fence about dessert and it def persuaded us lol.

From the outside the place does not look like the experience you will get when you dine here. Went with some friends for our first time and it was a great experience, we started with the charcuterie board which was full of meats and cheeses, very good, good size portioned. They also serve bread with cheese and spread to the table. We did the table side Cesar salad which was very good, heavy on anchovies and capers which I enjoy but our friend said was too strong. We also ordered the steak and the table side carbonara. The steak was cooked perfectly and they fire it table side with I believe thyme and rosemary. The carbonara was heavily creamy and delicious, I only wish it had vegetables in it but that's just a side note. We also had an old fashioned which was great a bit sweet but very well made. The Moscow mule was good and the Day After drink had muddled dragon fruit and was refreshing and sweet. Our server Luigi did an amazing job explaining the menu and took great care of us. For myself I spent $80 for two drinks a Cesar salad and the carbonara not bad for a nice fancy night out.

Food was good, atmosphere was good, service was amazing. My girl Catherine made it a 10/10, she was the perfect waitress. I could've chatted with her all night. Good date night place!

It was hard to come up with a star rating for this place as it was a very uneven experience. Ultimately, I can't recommend coming here because the price point is so obviously off. We had a reservation for 4 on a Saturday night at 6:45pm. When we arrived, we were told by the hostess that we would be seated "as soon as a table opens up." After standing awkwardly at the entrance for 10 minutes, we were told that we could either sit outside on the patio or continue to wait for a table inside, and that the inside table might be a long wait. We chose to sit outside, as we were very hungry, but this interaction put a bad taste in our mouth from the beginning. It's unclear what the point of a reservation is if a table will not be available for you on time. Mistakes like this can definitely happen, but at the least would have expected an explanation or apology (also, we walked by several empty tables on our way outside?). The outdoor patio space was okay but nothing special. There were several children running around whose families were seated at a neighboring table. Also, the cover that provided shade seemed to be trapping the 90-degree heat in the space. Finally, the table-side presentation of specific menu items is not available outside...we'll get to that in a second. Our waitress was kind and excellent; she kept us well-stocked with water in the heat. She recommended some excellent wine to pair with the food as well. They brought out complimentary bread. The bread was not good; it was mostly a vehicle for the delicious tomato-based sauce that accompanied it, but the proportion of sauce that they provided was very, very small for 4 people and was not refilled. We started with the mozzarella board. Much like our overall experience, it had some bright moments and also some lows. There was an excellent speck / parmesan foam/date pairing. There was also some uninspiring mortadella that was mostly missing the pistachios that were supposed to be embedded in it and some underripe cantelope. Drinks were also a mixed bag. Bizarrely, they nailed the aperol spritz, but then when my husband ordered a second one it came out with layers. An aperol spritz shouldn't require stirring because stirring dilutes the drink. Not sure how the bartender forgot from the first drink to the second how to make an aperol (ice should go in last). The best and most memorable drink was a whiskey sour that came with a szechuan button (recommended to us as a new drink by a server passing by)--the numbing button was a cool experience that totally transformed the drink. Entrees also mixed: - Ragu--delicious, well-made sauce on homemade pappardelle - Gnocchi--unimaginative, sauce may as well have been store-bought; several raw cherry tomatoes thrown in, which our table had mixed opinions on - Carbona--because we were outside, we were unable to experience the tableside presentation; tiny portion with too-tiny pieces of pancetta; sauce was nothing to write home about and for some reason made with parm instead of pecorino; noodles did not appear to be made in-house - Cacio e pepe--because we were outside, we were unable to experience the tableside presentation; very good pasta; on the small side of a medium-sized portion; served in a very cool copper finishing dish; however, not enough pepper Basically, our entire party left with very mixed feelings about the meal. It felt like we were being sold an experience, but didn't quite get it because: 1) sitting outside, lacked ambiance and did not get to experience the pasta being finished in the huge cheese wheel; 2) the food and drinks ranged from 5 stars to 1 star. What ultimately helped me decide on a star rating was the price point. We have had excellent Italian food in the last few years, including in Boston, New York, Chicago, Rome, and Denver (which is probably most comparable to SLC in terms of cost of getting high-quality Italian ingredients). I have NEVER seen such expensive pasta, which I think were all $30-35 (some for very, very small portions), especially for the carbonara and cacio which are staples that contain either no protein or a small amount of pancetta. These pastas typically range from 12 euro (Rome) to up to $25 (Little Italy in Boston); no way should they ever be over $30 (unless we're being charged extra for the tableside presentation, in which case they should cost less outside where that is unavailable)--especially not in Utah!! Our final bill was ~$325 for 1 appetizer, 4 pasta dishes, 1-2 drinks each, and tip. I never mind spending a lot on a good meal, but this was not it. The price point makes me unlikely to give it a second try or to recommend it to others.

From the outside, Antica Sicilia looks a bit run down and unimpressive. But don't let that fool you! The food was excellent and the service top notch. For appetizers, we ordered the Arancinette a la Carne and the Tuna Crudo. Both were very flavorful and delectable. For a salad, we ordered the spinach. In terms of pasta, we ordered the Lasagna, Gnocchi Sorrentina, and the Signature Carbonara. Excellent pasta. The carbonara is expertly prepared table side and was an absolute highlight. And we also ordered the Porcini Bone-in Ribeye, carved table side and finished in a cast iron pan. Great steak!! Only our dessert, namely the Tiramisu, was average. It turned out to be a wonderful dinner. The service was impeccable. Highly recommended!!

This has been one of our favorite restaurants for years. Tonight we went to celebrate my birthday and, unfortunately, we were all disappointed in the carbonara. I don't know if they changed something in the way they prepare it but it wasn't the same. I don't know if we'll dine here again. I was disappointed and we chose not to stay for dessert.

Quality of food was excellent. The highlight of the evening however was our server Claudio. He took pride in every detail from beginning to end, and made our evening so memorable. Will definitely be back again next time we're in the area.

Lad is the most amazing server with the best recommendations. The ravioli was one of the best Italian dishes I've ever had! The atmosphere was so cute and rustic and I will definitely be coming back.

I can't say enough about how good this place was. A great fusion of formal atmosphere and casual dining. Food was amazing and the service was even better. Highly recommend this restaurant.

After 6 years driving past this location decided to try for a date night and was impressed. Matteo our server from Rome Italy by way of North Carolina was exceptional. Shared several smaller plates, Caprese was the favorite, wonder dessert and espresso. Highly recommend

Claudio was absolutely the best part of this experience. The food was off the charts incredible (as our entire party agreed), but Claudio made us want to return! The pasta was out of this world, the bread was amazing, and the service was impeccable. We loved the ambience (love music and atmosphere) as well!

Food was good but nothing amazzzing. I enjoyed the octopus appetizer and the carbonara signature dish, but the veal (not pictured) was unimpressive. Nice service and ambiance! Worth checking out.

The food here was amazing!!! Lauren was an Amazing server and very knowledgeable with the menu. It's really cool how they prepared the Caesar salad, carbonara and steak right in front of you! Such a cool unique experience! Will definitely come back!

My partner and I just had the most wonderful experience at Antica Sicilia and I couldn't wait to come home to be able to post a review about it. Antica Sicilia and Sicilia Mia have truly wonderful staff who are absolute professionals that ensure their guests are provided with excellent service and, ultimately, a truly memorable meal. We started off with the Polipo Don Pino, the grilled octopus appetizer. I forgot to get a picture of it before we devoured it, but that's just a testament to how succulent and delicious it was! The octopus was tender and the grill put the perfect amount of char and crisp on the outside. The yogurt sauce provided an appropriate amount of tartness to complement the octopus - an excellent recommendation by Brighton, the maître d'hôtel. Next up was the Signature Carbonara, also recommended by Brighton. What an absolute treat! The pancetta was perfectly crisp, and the smoky carbonara sauce was heavenly. Our server, Lizz, did an exceptional job of preparing it tableside, splitting it into two picture-perfect portions. The pièce de résistance was the Porcini Bone-In Ribeye, carved and finished tableside. For this course, Brighton, the maître d, returned and performed the carving and finishing, including an exciting flambé spectacle with a shot of Pisco. Unfortunately, the video I took didn't come out very clear, but you can see the gorgeous finished product that I can assure tasted far better than any image can capture. We ended our meal with a slice of tiramisu - and it was a very classic and well done version. What a fabulous experience, and we are so thankful to Devin for helping us to secure our reservation, and Brighton and Lizz for their outstanding and attentive service tonight. I cannot wait to return for another meal soon, and highly recommend Antica Sicilia for a truly memorable Italian meal in SLC.

My friend and I were invited back after last time's not so great experience. I was nervous that it would be awkward or people would be upset with me but everyone was so nice and I felt they truly wanted to impress us. I told them I wondered if I just ordered wrong last time? I said I wanted them to pick their best gluten-free dishes so they offered a 5 course meal. They did talk me into getting their house made pasta because the flour is from Italy and not processed in the yucky way American flour is. They said many gluten intolerant people are fine with Italian pasta. We started with the Speck and Dates which wowed us. It's the perfect bite of smoky, sweet, salty, umami. Yummmmm. I need to try to make this at home. Next was Polipo Don Pino- octopus!! I'd never tried octopus. I had a hard time with the tentacle layer but my more worldly dining companion said it was good. And I loved the yogurt dill sauce. Then we had the signature carbonara which was the true redemption. Last time it had no flavor. I thought it was because the gluten free noodles were not good with it but no. I showed the manager the picture from last time and compared it to the noodles in front of me and he said before, the chef made the sauce from the heart, meaning it was different every time. I happened to be there on a day the sauce was less flavorful. From now on the carbonara will be prepared using a recipe so it will always be this good! Great news!! This also means if you need the gluten-free noodles it will be just as good. It was a sauce issue all along, not a gf issue. Our next pasta was the taglioni sicilia mia- a bright freshly made tomato sauce with a variety of shellfish. I've never had a bite of shrimp that soft and delicious in my whole life. Yowza. For our last dish we had Bistecca Alla Toscana- super flavorful, perfectly seasoned tender steak. And make sure you get that arugula with the Parmesan and balsamic in every bite. They go so well together!! I thought we were done because last time they said they didn't have gluten free desserts.... But then the manager came out with surprise panna cotta! I always thought dairy with gelatin sounded weird but no, it was so good. And that citrus whipped cream on top was exquisite. Thank you so much to Jasmin, Brighton, and Devon for a wonderful experience! Great food and excellent service! And I know you were back there cooking for us, Giuseppe! You all made us feel very special!!

Great little Italian spot in Millcreek, would recommend if you're trying to get a reservation outside of downtown during peak dining times. The pasta dishes here are the stars (some dishes are cooked in a Parmesan cheese wheel at the table). I wasn't too impressed with their mains or the serving sizes for the price point, but the service here is always wonderful and we love the ambience.

I really did not get the hype over this place. sadly the cheese wheel is only for the carbonara so you cant experience it with other dishes. Overall, the food tasted pretty average for how fancy they try to make this place feel. My favorite was the bruschetta. The rigatoni was nothing extra from something we could make at home. Our waiter had a wacky Italian gimmick/ accent he put on and it was a little too much for us. He was also breaking the character with coworkers so it just felt a little too showy. I probably wouldnt return given the price.

The food, ambiance and service was amazing! Raul was our server, he was extremely attentive and made sure we got everything we order fast. I really enjoyed hearing about the history of the restaurant and he did great at guiding us through the menu. Overall amazing food and experience, we will definitely be back!

Our party of 4 ordered 2 appetizers to share and then a pasta dish/meat dish each. The flavors were great and portion sizes were fair for the appetizers, but when the pasta dishes came out, I was a bit in shock at how little came out. For the appetizers, we got the arancinette- solid flavor, good portion size. We also got the Calamari Misto, solid flavor and good portion size. For the main course: Ravioli Tartufo e Funghi - my sister ordered it specifically because the menu says it had truffles on top. All it came with was pieces of sage and didn't have much truffle taste. There were only 4 pieces for a total of $58. I ordered the special tortelloni and while the presentation came out great along with the sage butter sauce, the pasta was very tough, not al dente as I would expect. There was little or no filling and the raviolis were nearly hollow. There were only 5 pieces for $49. Another pasta dish that our table ordered was the Carbonara, this was a better portion size, and tasted ok, nothing notable. $30 Milanese alla pizzaiola was a decent size and came with a small salad. Unfortunately the chicken was overcooked and pretty dry. The sauce on top made it a little better, but not something I would order again. $28 Some other notable items - not a huge deal. I ordered a sangria and was told immediately that they were out for the night (it was 6:30), then I ordered an aperol spritz and again told that they were out for the night. Next, I ordered a glass of wine and the server had to come back to and ask me what I ordered again because he had forgotten. Perhaps he was having an off day because he later charged us for the aperol spritz that never came. He took it off after we told him to, so it was fine after that. I really wanted to like this place because I know it's been here for a while and the parking lot is usually full. Sadly, I left still hungry. Can't say that I would come back anytime soon. The dishes just aren't worth the money.

Antica Sicilia was fantastic!! The Mater-die was so friendly and accommodating, our waitress, Lauren was top notch - a newer employee that has excellent customer service skills and a great personality. We shared the table side Ceasar salad (gave my dad's recipe a run for his money), the pasta Carbonara (prepared table side, using a huge Parmesan wheel), & the Parpadelle Ragu. (My personal favorite). All were amazingly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The Chef stopped by the table to ensure everything was to our liking, and yes it was! This place will be on our list the next time we visit SLC!

Update: I went back to Antica Sicilia last week after a not-so-fabulous dinner one night last year. The manager had sent me a message and made up for the dinner. The service was absolutely fabulous, lasagna was amazing! Bruschetta and prosciutto wrapped melon were fantastic! Everyone loved their meals and the atmosphere. Perfect for a girls night or date night!

Love this place so much! The food is amazing! Ambiance is perfect for girls night, dates and family celebrations! Staff is friendly and attentive. Must try the cabanara and tiramisu! Out of this world!

First time here. I was so excited. I've been on an Italian food kick lately. I'm on a quest to find the best of Italian cuisine in Utah. Antica Sicilia in Salt Lake City charmed us with its delicious food, cute and vibey atmosphere, and attentive service. Claudio, our server, went above and beyond to make our evening enjoyable. The complimentary bread trio and crispy, creamy arancini were delightful starters, and the rigatoni a la vodka, lasagna (with a delicious bechamel), and most of the chicken parm were all fantastic. While the chicken breading wasn't as crisp as expected, the dish was still good. I wasn't impressed with the amount of chicken for a $28 entree. Overall, Antica Sicilia offered me and my family a wonderful dining experience, I'd honestly give them a well-deserved 4.5 out of 5 stars.

We came here for my birthday a few weeks ago. The entire family, all 5 of us! We love Italian food and this was absolutely delicious. Our server, Luigi, was phenomenal! He was attentive, funny and great with my kids. The atmosphere is very quaint and small town feel-like. We all got an entree and we shared a starter and 4 desserts. Pasta carbonara, gnocchi, butternut squash ravioli, cacio e Pepe and branzino saltimbocca. Everything was so good! Super flavorful! My 10 year old got the fish and inhaled it! We tried the tiramisu, panna cotta, olive oil cake and profiteroles. Everything my was so good! Now, I do realize there is a criminal charge against the owner now (as of yesterday). I hope for the employees sakes and for the restaurant, this gets resolved in a positive way for everyone. If the dude goes to jail? someone can continue this business because it's so yummy! Super expensive, but yummy. Hansen the 4 stars. I have a hard time paying $30-$40 a plate for pasta when I know how to hand make it at home!

Such a hidden gem in Millcreek,UT that's a must try! The restaurant itself has a nice cozy vibe that already puts you in the mood for some great food. The most notable dishes we tried was the Polipo Don Pino octopus dish that just was "butter" to cut into and melted in your mouth. The Porcini Bone-in Ribeye so well prepped and perfectly cooked on the skillet and came with a table side fire show!! The "not enough" cheese Bucatini Cacio & Tartufo pasta served from a giant cheese wheel! And to top of the meal and send the place over the top, the Tiramisu & Olive Oil Cake that just made you feel like you're melting. 11 out of 10 would recommend. Our service was top notch provided by Claudio and Brighton! They helped us every step of the way and didn't leave a single detail out.
