We were so lucky this trattoria was just a minute away from our B&B. We were welcomed like we were family, and the kids got to see the wood-fired oven and the whole staff went above and beyond to keep them happy. We ordered pizza for the kids, which was very well made. Also, I had a portion of their glorious genovese, and my wife had one of their signature dishes, seafood in a “hat” made of pizza dough. Everything was excellent. Very fair price given the quality and the overall experience. Looking forward to another visit!

There’s no doubting the quality of the food at this restaurant — the flavours are phenomenal, and the calm, elegant atmosphere really elevates the experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates well-executed cuisine. However, the service could use some improvement. While efficient, many of the servers appeared disengaged and rarely smiled. One staff member threw a bag of bread onto the table and placed my drink down without any explanation or acknowledgment. A warmer, more welcoming approach from the team would truly match the high standard of the food and setting. Shown is the Spaghetti alla Scarpariello and Eggplant Meatballs on Parmesan Cream both delicious!

Amazing! Must book. Best restaurant we visited in Napoli. Every taste was special and the staff were super friendly. We’ll definitely recommend to our friends and will come back again.

When in Napoli, eat like an Italian with an Italian. Excellent 👌 food. This was my second day in Italy and this was the best pasta I've ever had. We are travelling with a person from Milano and he praised this place.

First night in Naples and we were recommended to Da Donata. The restaurant is located near the Train Termini and inviting from the staff to the atmosphere. It is recommended to book, we did an hour or so before the restaurant opened. Limited gluten free options, but the friendly team advised the octopus salad is a good option. They were informed of cross contamination from the single kitchen and were clear about the risks. This was appreciated. ⭐⭐⭐ Capricossia pizza was a tasty non traditional selection. Cheese was delicious with the toppings with a salty after taste. Enjoyed but would probably go for a margarita next time around ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spaghetti Ragu was well enjoyed by my son with strong tomato flavours ⭐⭐⭐ Spaghetti carbonara was made with a delicious guancale but unfortunately the eggs were scrambled. Not a Napolitano dish, so probably not a good choice on our behalf ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Octopus salad was the gluten free option and thoroughly enjoyed. Generous serving of octopus with fresh salad well presented in a jar We enjoyed our dinner at Da Donata but would try other restaurants in the area for comparison. Great location for cleanliness and service

Wonderful Trattoria right in the heart of the city and a quick walk from the train station. The pizza was good but the pastas (scarpariello and frutti di mare) and the meatballs were the main stars. Truly wonderful meal and service and was a fitting final dinner for us in Italy. Reservations are definitely needed so call ahead if you can.

One of the best places for dine! It is recommended to book a table because is always full but we went twice without reservations and they accommodated us immediately. Besides that the attention is very good, prices are fare and the food comes very fast, and taste amazing 🤩 10/10

In my honest opinion - This place is the best trattoria in whole Neapol! Amazing taste in food and drinks, comfortable and clean place. For sure the best pizza that we have ate during our trip, just like any other dishes we have ordered. Best carbonara in my life as well! Must have to visit being in Neapol! One advice to make reservation before you go there, as it is not easy to go from street - Which only makes trattoria more special:)

Yelp
Had a nice meal here tonight! The prices are very reasonable and portion sizes for the pasta are quite big. The two of us shared an appetizers and each had a pasta. I liked my linguini with cherry tomatoes, Parmesan, and pepper. Wish it was more spicy! My friend had mixed feelings about her ziti with ragu, I think it was too heavy for her. She seemed to like fried anchovies appetizer, anchovies just aren't for me. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and service is pretty good. Overall a pretty good meal in Napoli

Yelp
Finding this wonderful family-owned and operated restaurant in the middle of Naples was a true godsend. When we came off our cruise ship, we hired a wonderful driver, who, in the middle of our tour took us to this spot for lunch. He knew the family and dines there often himself. The place was really full of locals plus we 4 Americans and the family/staff couldn't have been nicer. Food is wonderful. Spectacular fresh pasta, outstanding Neapolitan pizza, and many good wines, all at an exceptionally good price - much less than restaurants in Naples built to get high prices from the tourists. Because of the local ambiance we took the opportunity to linger longer than normal (hey the wine was a great price, so why not enjoy another bottle?), because we so loved the atmosphere and environment.

Yelp
Holy meatballs! Best meatballs I've ever had...so much so that I wanted to get 2 or 3 orders to go. Not sure when I was going to eat it but I wanted them even after I ate to a gluttonous satisfaction. For appetizer we got the eggplant and meatballs. I'm not a big eggplant gal and I was obsessed with the eggplant. After my husband took a few bites I practically stole the dish and ate it all to myself. As already mentioned the pork meatballs in the fresh red sauce were absolutely delicious. It's light and each serving comes with 5 balls. Unlike other restaurants we've eaten at (so far in Italy), this was one of the first restaurants that provided bread for free. For the main dish my husband got the carbonara. Delicious but very creamy and buttery. He loved it! I definitely enjoyed my bite. Personally do not think I would have been able to eat the whole dish on my own. I got the Genovese pasta. Very yummy. The base is caramelized onion with short rib beef. Had a bit of a sweeter taste to it (bc of the onions) but I really enjoyed it. We did not have room for dessert but my husband did get the cafe (expreso) which he most definitely enjoyed. Service was good. The food was excellent! (Husband kept making comments that he would fly back for the food here bc he was that content). Would highly recommend this spot! Ps: menus here are in Italian only. PSS: try to make reservations. Seating here does seem to go by fast.

Yelp
Food tasted AMAZING. However I was a bit disappointed about the service. It's so bad that Napoli have so many great restaurants but we were never happy about our service. But over all we had a great dinner. :)

Yelp
Very busy so please make reservations. With my wife resting I'll in hotel, I got my dinner to go and and he recommended an amazing Borrolo Nebbiolo wine also to go. We enjoyed dinner in our room. Pizza was very good. Wine even better. All of the patrons at tables appeared to be very happy!

Yelp
My friends and I fell in love with this place the moment we walked in! It's a decent size restaurant, but it gets busy so if you are thinking about eating here I recommend calling ahead and getting a reservation. When my friends and I went, we didn't have a reservation, but they had a 1-hour window where they could sit us and they were nice enough to let us sit and enjoy a meal before their next reservation came in. In a normal situation, I probably would have passed and gone elsewhere, but it smelled so good that we didn't want to miss out on something great. Even though we only had an hour, we never felt rushed. The owner was very attentive to our needs and the service was very timely. I highly recommend one of their seafood dishes. All our food was so fresh and incredible. Before you leave, be sure to try the tiramisu. My friends and I are on a mission to find the best tiramisu in Italy and this one is certainly the current champion! Thanks for a perfect last night in Napoli!

Yelp
I believe this business is riding a good review history and their current service is sloppy. We came in without a reservation and they gets us a table on a condition that we would leave at 9:00. Obviously they are popular. Although the dinner experience with them made me think that they are overrated and they are not committed to hold their service to a high quality. Generally the food was okay, not great, but okay. There was an incident that I felt it was completely out of the norms. My wife ordered a sea bass filet which came full off fish scales. After my wife gave up eating the fish, because it was too annoying to extract the scales from the fillet, I thought that it was an honest mistake and the fish was not properly prepared for grilling. I called the waiter and told him about the problem and next I had to face a weird scene that cut my dinner short. The chef came down and tried to convince me that the fish is how it is supposed to be. The tone was completely disrespectful and I had to leave because didn't feel safe to continue to eat food prepared by them. So, if you like having dinner in a nice family restaurant, this is NOT one of them. If you're really hungry it's OK, you can eat their food. It won't be the top restaurant that you can find in the area but also not the last. Just don't complain if they messed up a dish, you'll probably face a scene that will ruin your day.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by the B&B owner during my stay in Naples. It was near the hotel and opened late. Local restaurant with many Soccer fans. Since we were hungry, we decided to try some of the dishes on the menu rather than their famous pizzas. - Bruscetta Fantasia - chefs choice. One with eggplant and tomatoes, another with roasted peppers and one with some kind of marinated vegetable ribbons - Zuppa di vongole - Clams with crotons in a broth with olive oil - Linguini del Sofsto? - Linguini with seafood - Parmigiana di melanzane - Eggplant Parmigiana I noticed some patrons ordered ananas (pineapple) after dinner and wanted to try some but too full to take another bite. Cozy and inviting atmosphere. Friendly staff and great service. Reasonably-priced and oh, the food was delicious! I love Naples - the place, food, culture and warmth of the people. I have some of the best experience in Naples during my trip visiting various cities in Italy. and experienced some of the finest Italian seafood dishes during my stay there. Will definitely return.

Yelp
This is the best family restaurant that started around 1955 and are still very popular near the main train station. You have some difficulty finding it since Yalp direction only sending you to a sign on the T-cross road. The restaurant is actually on the middle of the block at the T-street. The matre'd is loud and friendly. He quickly explained the menú in English and get you into your mood of eating, very professional. The seafood was very fresh but the pasta tended to be a bit oily. We order veal but it was a bit over cooked some it was a bit chewy since he ordered satimbucca stlye instead of just plain mushroom. The Buffalo Caprese salad was great with stringly texture that is not found in USA but delicious. The best dish is the simple spigatti with tomato and cheese. I ate completely both veal and spigatti dishes despite such slight short comings of the aforementioned. We did enjoyed our meals for being there.

Yelp
A traditional restaurant and pizzeria in the area between the railway station and the Porta Nolana, Da Donato is a small but nice place where you can taste typical Neapolitan food. Service is very good and fast, and the place looks clean. Pizza was a bit under my expectations though, despite being made in the traditional way in the wood oven. Still a good experience.

Yelp
I highly recommend their seafood spaghetti because it has the best ratio of clams/mussels to pasta that I've seen during my travels. Their margarita pizza is out of this world and dares to compare with da Michele. The owner has a kind face and was very welcoming to us Americans.

Yelp
Best Italian Food in all of Italy! I have traveled through many cities in Italy, and this was the BEST meal I had in all of Italy! The menu is in Italian, but the gentleman that helped us spoke a little English and helped us pick the perfect entrees. The seafood was fresh, pasta was al dente, and the sauce was flavorful, but still delicate and not overpowering. Great meal, don't miss out!

Yelp
Wonderful meal! Excellent service and delicious food. We got the spaghetti a pomodoro and seafood spaghetti as well as the bruschetta and grilled calamari and caprese salad. 48 euro for the whole meal! Great prices and would highly recommend! Get here early because it fills up very fast!

Yelp
Best meal I had in Naples. Fresh ingredients & good prices , we paid 50 euro for 4 plates , wine, desert & limoncello. We had to wait a bit for a table but it was worth it , you can buy cheap beer across the street while you wait.
