The 42 Best Restaurants in Rome

"Antico Arco is one of the city’s most popular places to eat, so you'll definitely want to book ahead. It may be a white-tablecloth kind of place, where suited-up waiters scuttle between hushed tables—but that doesn't mean it's stuck-up. People who love real-deal Roman classics will appreciate how well it's executed here, whether you're going for the seven-course tasting menu (with wine pairings, of course) or sampling from the à la carte dishes." - Maresa Manara

"At Porta San Pancrazio, a stone’s throw from Gianicolo where you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of Rome, here instead the kitchen plays the lead: some echoes of Lazio, but mostly creative, both meat and fish." - Michelin Inspector

Google
Pros: pigeon dish was amazing, the lobster pasta was decent. Con: skip the beef tartar dish, it was too much, not enough seasoning, foie gras didn't taste like foie gras at all. Couldn't even finish it and I like tartar. Skip the first dessert. Shouldn't of went with dark chocolate souffle.

Nice place on Gianicolo hill. The tasting menu, although €80 lets you taste a variety of dishes and the skill of the chef in putting them together.

Google
Before visiting Rome my friends spoke highly about the place that we must visit for sure. We went there to have dinner. Menu was selected by chef for us. They just asked which meet we are more into. We prefer fish. And the dishes that we have are all amazed us. We enjoyed the taste and it was other level of satisfaction of eating. Chef Fundim just made our night and now we recommend everyone. It should be the must visit place if you are looking to experience satisfaction. Also the choice of champagne and wine was gorgeous as well.

Google
A place doing modern takes on some classics and introducing their own tastes. Overall a very pleasant experience, some things to note is that their bread is the best I’ve had in my week here, and they actually split dishes that were shared by serving them separately. Their best pasta dish is definitely the carbonara, and honestly I kind of regret not trying their tasting menu, but they still brought out a sampler before our first dish and even before desert. The only thing I would say to improve is the ginger desert I picked needed more pineapple fruit on it, that would elevate it! The experience was enjoyable and they definitely want you to be happy here, so don’t be afraid to speak up.

Google
Best carbonara we’ve ever had! Complementary breads, starter and desert. Not cheap but worth the cost. An amazing experience and incredible food. Would highly recommended to anyone visiting Rome.

Google
10 years ago we bid farewell to our Italy trip here, so nothing more appropriate to repeat it. The food continues to be fantastic, with spin on Italian classics plus some inventive dishes. Great place to taste a more modern take on Italy food heritage.

Google
A five star dining experience sitting outside, it wasn't bad with the traffic noise at all. All of the dishes were outstanding, make sure you have the salmon appetizer with bacon crumbles and also the ambergine appetizer. They have an extensive wine list and the sea bass dinner entrée was delicious. Also there they gave us several complimentary extra small bites during dinner. The lava cake for dessert was wonderful. Service was impeccable but at the end took a while to notify someone to bring our bill. Not an inexpensive restaurant but I felt it was a very good value for the quality and experience. I would recommend the trip (a 20 euro uber ride) if you are staying in downtown Rome near the monuments.

Google
Ive been to many restaurants but the service here was something I will always remember. They were very generous and the food was delicious. Highly recommend 👌

Yelp
Love the ambiance, can't say enough about the food. It was delicious! Nos encantó el carpaccio de atún.

Yelp
Food was great service was great but after making our anniversary dinner reservation a month ahead of time we were were informed the morning of that a pharmaceutical company booked a last minute dinner and we would have to eat outside. Told No problem though they had heaters. Then when we arrived heaters did not work. Got uncomfortably cold had to leave coats on and was still cold. So food good, food service good, service for booking and ambiance poor- deserves a 3

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed every dish, each member of the classy and capable staff (lots of cuties), as well as the outdoor dining atmosphere surrounded by towering museums (especially this part). Be forewarned that the floor is slightly tilted, but it didn't affect our experience.

Yelp
The tasting menu was amazing. The desserts was nicely plated and delicious. Service was great. Highly recommend

Yelp
I found this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. Incredibly, the taste of the food suits me very well. What I like most is the service and environment of this restaurant.

Yelp
Telegraph: It's been going for almost 20 years now, but this relaxed, contemporary Italian restaurant on the Gianicolo hill above Trastevere continues to deliver. The interior is warmly minimalist; the very few outside tables - a novelty in the recently pedestrianised piazza - should be booked well ahead. Risotto with Castelmagno cheese in Nebbiolo sauce is an Antico Arco classic; meat, fish and game share the credits, and there are even a few veggie dishes. The affable sommelier, Domenico, is a great source of inspiration - and the mark-ups on bottles are reasonable. just on the edge of the neighborhood. But it's one of the loveliest restaurants in the area, and perfect for a quiet, special, more upscale dining experience No outdoor dining

Yelp
Wonderful location and walk from our hotel in the trastevere neighborhood. Food was unique and not tradition Italian. Service was top notch Ambiance was romantic and cozy. Place has a few different rooms so feels small. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Reasonably priced for the quality and service.

Yelp
When you first arrive the amuse bouche dishes arrive in large number. Not only are they beautiful, but unlike many restaurants they are also tasty and flavorful. Through the evening this did not change whether or not it was the carbonara al tartufo, the tortelli di cacciagione funghi or the risotto cerviche. The second courses were equally good as were the desserts (sabaiione, Yoto crumble and the tortino). The many amuse bouche deserts were all good and fun to look at. Service was excellent and the wine list has many aood reasonably priced wines. This is a great spot for a special event or just a romantic fun evening. Often in a restaurant like this you will get a beautiful looking meal that lacks flavor. Here you get beauty, fun and flavor, all with great service.

Yelp
You don't be disappointed. Staff is so friendly! Food is fantastic see the photos I posted. Don't miss dessert it's necessary!

Yelp
Dined here on my last night in Rome. My partner and I both absolutely loved this restaurant! The vibe and energy inside were great. The staff was very accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. I had the seared scallops with red pepper fillets and basil, the (meat free) spaghetti verrigni with carbonara sauce and black truffles (oh my god -- divine), and finally the bronte for dessert. Cannot say enough great things about my experience. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Our vacation rental host recommended this place and we couldn't be more pleased! The service, the food, the ambiance are all superb. We were celebrating my 50th birthday and my son's engagement. They made us feel so special and kept bringing out food and drinks on the house to us. The food was amazing and I had the best risotto of my life here. It was ceviche risotto....so delicious! Even the drinks were spectacular. A must visit when you're in Rome.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant overlooking Trastevere. The interior is a series of smaller rooms, so it has an interesting intimate catacombs like feel to it. Our service team was outstanding and did a great job helping us navigate and selecting some delicious wine. We ordered a la carte, though I'm sure the tasting menu would be an excellent option given the outstanding dishes we sampled. Amber Jack tartare was terrific - light and flavorful, a nice antidote to much of the heavy overly cooked meat meals we'd had in Rome. Roasted pigeon with Rhubarb and Pisco was also lovely and a perfectly sized starter. Pastas were outstanding. The Maltagliati with Chili and Uni was really outstanding - subtle yet flavorful. Tiger Prawn Tortelli was also terrific but also very subtle and perhaps could have used a bit more seasoning. For mains, both the Snapper and Sea Bass were extremely well executed. Both were perfectly accompanied by their vegetables. In both cases texture and flavor pairing were very interesting (but maybe a little more seasoning, again). Admittedly I am a bit of a salt whore, so factor that into my observations. All in all it was a lovely evening - this place has a nice comfortable feel to it and is stylishly casual. The food pushes some boundaries without straying too far into the realm of the experimental. It is approachable, well executed, and delicious.

Yelp
Solid restaurant at the top of one of seven hills in Rome. Suggested by our local friend in Rome. Simple and elegant in decor and lighting, clientele mostly consists of locals. The portions are quite huge - I would recommend sharing a tasting menu for 2 people. Out of the dishes that we had, Fluffed buffalo mozzarella cheese and tomato was the amazing winner. I don't know how they Achieved the fluffy consistency of the mozzarella cheese but the result is extraordinary and the tomato was the perfect complement to the whip cream like cheese. The pigeon wrapped in pistachios was delicious. Just the right texture for the meat, with a bit of nuttiness of the pistachios. Reminded me of some of the dishes that I had in morocco. The dishes to avoid would be: Cod carpaccio with mayonnaise and cucumber - too fishy Sponge cake with chocolate gelato and apricot - too sweet

Yelp
Antico Arco is a good overall experience. However, be alerted that it is not a traditional Italian place like most of the popular places in Trastevere. This is not necessarily bad, but I think it is important to mention since you can get disappointed if you are looking a traditional place. Having said that, our experience was fine. Even if the restaurant is located in a not quite convenient location if you don't have a car or take a taxi, its interior is elegant and minimalistic at the same time. In a certain way, it is like they want you to focus on what should be the main attraction: the food. The service was polite and professional as you would expect from a place like Antico Arco. I remember they did a good job describing the plates to ensure we knew what to expect. Our orders that night were: .- Spaghetti Verrigni with pecorino cheese, black pepper and zucchini flowers: The dish worked pretty fine. My girlfriend thought it was too cheesy (she was already alerted by the waiter before ordering) but in my opinion (I am a cheese lover) that pasta was great. .- Risotto with snapper ceviche and burrata cheese: Simply beautiful. As a proper Italian restaurant, each of us got a sample of what the other one ordered. Certainly a nice touch not often replicated... The bread we got during our meal was outstanding. We didn't order desert but we got a complementary little one. Unfortunately I don't remember what it was, even if I do remember I enjoyed it. Enjoy!

Yelp
I agree with the few bad reviews that you'll find here on Yelp and on Google. I really don't understand what the fuss was about but this was the worst restaurant we ate at in Rome. It's totally mediocre, uninspiring food. I usually don't mind sub-par service if the food is good but neither was the case on this particular night. Perhaps it was a language thing but the waiter we had was totally emotionless and incapable of suggesting dishes. He simply read the menu when we asked for his favorites. The restaurant seems to try to do mash up/fusion food and fails spectacularly in my opinion. Why would you take ceviche and put it on top of risotto? Why would I want to eat guacamole cream and corn crumble on top of fish when in Rome? Most dishes lacked something tying them together, usually some sort of acid, not to mention the use of too much salt. They put "spicy breadcrumbs" in the amuse bouche, my wife's entree and one of our appetizers. Reusing the same ingredient across various dishes as if you're doing something creative is the exact opposite. I understand wanting to try something other than a typical trattoria after a few days but this definitely isn't the place. Please don't waste your money there. Also, as someone mentioned, the robot waiter brought out the card machine and set it to the tip screen and handed it to me. Nobody else had done that to me in Rome.

Yelp
Came here for our last meal in Rome.. :/ place is a bit tiny but very home-y feeling. We did the 8 course meal which set me back around 80 something euros I believe. It was well worth it bc i was able to try a little bit of everything on the menu. Portions appeared to be a little small at first but then when the 3rd plate came out my food baby started to appear. No complaints all around though, food was amaaaazzzing and the service was A-1. Everybody was attentive and staff worked as a team, which I liked! I loved there olive oil and super thick balsamic vinegar that I even purchased some to take home. By the end of the meal I was super full and glad that they were more than happy to bag up the dessert. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Amazing restaurant! The tasting menu is to die for. I especially love the scallops. Everything was over-the-top delicious. This was our splurge night and we're so happy to over indulge!

Yelp
Random stop here because we were in the area. Pleasantly surprised...sea urchin pasta amazing! Highly recommended...excellent service as well! Thank you Antico Arco...

Paula K.

Yelp
Among the many fantastic restaurants in Rome, Antico Arco truly stands out with its commitment to excellence in both food and hospitality. Just a short walk away from the Belvedere del Gianicolo, this trattoria offers traditional cuisine with outstanding ingredients and innovative twists. We ordered the roast pigeon and crudo di ricciola as starters, followed by the linguine and risotto with scampi. The linguine were enhanced by a lemony salty mullet roe and eating the risotto was like diving into a blissful sea of fish and butter. All along the waiters did their utmost best to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. The wine list is extensive and offers excellent pairings for a well rounded and delicious meal. My only regret is not being able to stay for secondi and desserts. But it will certainly not be my last time at Antico Arco. Grazie for this unforgettable lunch!

Yelp
a lovely summer meal here of amberjack crudo (with a little ginger and asparagus) and a risotto with a light fish ceviche. and a side of vegetables grilled down to their sweet essence. the amuse bouche was a small piece of salmon marinated in lemon and orange. though it's a little pricey, the portions were plenty--a single appetizer, main, and side vegetable was more than the two of us could share between us. nice casual atmosphere with tables of friends, colleagues, families. friendly people

Yelp
The place interiors are great. They have tables outside, but I don't recommend to eat there because of the traffic. I ordered beef filet wrapped in nut layer. Which was accompanied by cauliflower sauce. It was delicious. The kitchen was delivering canapés , so I got a lentils soup with home made bread for starters. It tasted great. For dessert I chose lime cream brûlée. Delicious . A great meal. Just be aware that if you order starter, first and second course, and finally dessert you are over the 100€ mark.

Yelp
Delicious! Creative! We had the 4 course menu and loved everything. Don't forget dessert!!!

Yelp
On the outskirts of the Trastevere neighborhood in Rome, this whitewashed, modern Italian restaurant is run by the owner and attentive, knowledgeable staff. The food is paired down and exquisitely prepared. Mozzarella delicately fried in pastry with herbs and mushrooms, black truffled pasta with light crème, macaroni amatriciana, and sliced pigeon: all wonderful. A treasure filled but-still-bountiful-under 40-euro wine list yielded bottles I've been waiting to try for just this occasion. In sum, a delightful experience that is sure to please.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that this place was highly recommended to us by a fellow American traveler we met while dinning in Florence. We had high expectations and they were exceeded. Not only due to the delicious food but also due to the stellar service we received. It was four of us and we all ordered several different starters, first, and second plates. Without telling our server that we were sharing plates, he brought out our plates plus small portions of each to share amongst the table. This added touch made all the difference in our fantastic dining experience our first night in Rome!
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down, best meal I had while in Rome. So good in fact that I went back for a second round and made sure that my sister and bro-in-law made a reservation as well. INCREDIBLE wine list! Worth the drive! The tasting menu was so delicious.... I can't decide what was best... the truffle carbonara or the pigeon. This place is not to be missed!
google avatar

Cherry K.

Yelp
Travelled to Rome in December 2018. Came upon this cute place as we were walking up the hill and were hungry. It was a total delight and the staff was phenomenal. Had pasta with truffle which was mouthwatering. It was so good that we had to go a second time in a week!!!

Yelp
We dined here during a visit to Rome in 2012 and loved it. Very welcoming, and making us comfortable in a city far from home. We had to come back. They were very flexible in our reservation. Our gracious waiter helped is choose appetizer (deconstructed kabob), a pasta course (carbonara) and our main course. In between courses there were two complimentary bites. He also helped us navigate an extensive wine list, and we picked a 2006 Barolo to accompany our meal. All in all, top notch, and a stop we'd repeat at the first opportunity.

Yelp
Expect to pay $80 per person with a couple of bottles of wine at Antico Arco. If you are fit, walk up to the restaurant from Trastevere, stopping along the way at the beautiful fountain with great views of the city of Rome. It makes the "mountain goat climb" up the hill, well worth it. This is clearly a well known haunt of English speaking tourists and expats. The staff speaks fluent English and the hostess spoke English without any accent. The service here was efficient and quite helpful particularly with the wine selection. Their wine cellar is quite extensive and they have some very nice regional selections as well as some unusual varietal choices as well. Ask your waiter to make some suggestions about your choices. I am puzzled by some of the comments about the restaurants ambience. Our party of 4 was seated during a full house at Antico Arco and I found the white interior to be quite pleasant and the service was perfecto! The menu was available with a multi course tasting menu or directly from the menu. Wild game, seafood, beef, and vegetarian offerings were plentiful on the menu. The food was perfectly prepared and flawlessly presented. Poached egg, Roman broccoli, truffles and a yogurt sauce - heavenly! Pigeon with a pistachio crust - wonderful! Veal tenderloin with a crunchy thyme crust - superb! The desserts were equally interesting and delicious. This is a no brainier if you want an upscale dining experience in Rome without any pretense and for a reasonable price. Inventive but authentic menu with a killer wine cellar.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp and made a reservation before I left the states. Service was truly outstanding. The menu was innovative but somewhat familiar. Very intimate, lots of courses but still casual. You felt like you had been somewhere. Just great from start to finish.
google avatar

Jane H.

Yelp
Very uninspiring meal. The service was AWFUl and the food was cold and bland. I would not go here.
google avatar

Evy Y.

Yelp
Attentive service and delicious dinner. We had the scallops (perfect), cold tomato soup with risotto (light with creamy risotto, very large portion on the full menu), and ceviche on risitto. The latter was a bit too Al dente for me, but the ceviche was fantastic. Fir main course, I had the sea bass, which was very sweet. Not a huge fan of the corn crumbs but this can be brushed off. My partner got the carbonara with truffles and it was very heavy, but delicious. Portions are generous but not overwhelming, which is a good thing. Lastly, bread was fantastic! They bake them all in house.

Jessica M.

Yelp
This meal had all the ingredients for a top of the line five star experience. But sadly fell short. Seated promptly however took 20 min to order a cocktail. Maybe this is a cultural thing. But I like a cocktail while looking over the menu. We decided on the amber jack starter witch was lovely huge portion or maybe they give you more when your splitting I don't know. But huge portion by American fine dining standards. Seconds was pasta my husband was over the moon happy with his truffle spaghetti. It was good but imo meh I've had better in Rome. My risotto was so under done you needed a iron jaw to chew through it. The flavor was boring however the snapper on top was bright and very tasty. Our duck came it was well rendered but needed a serious salt infusion. The purée on the plate was cold and tasteless. Carrots were fine for carrots. Cocktails were fine once they arrived. The wine was very good we really enjoyed the bottle recommended. Service for us was stellar. However the service for the tables around us not so good. I felt bad getting class A service while they were ignored. I don't know if I would come back. It wasn't a bad meal but didn't meat our expectations for the evening either. So who knows maybe????? With so many out standing meals under our bent in Rome I expected better for what was supposed to be our fancy night out in Rome. I guess that's what you get on a Tuesday night. I feel like maybe we were here on a off night?? Or maybe this fine dining spot is slipping?

Taylor W.

Yelp
Incredible meal, and una unexpectedly substantial. The portions are perfect, not too small, and beautifully expected. It is NOT overly expensive. Beautiful interior, creative flavors, and everything is cooked PERFECTLY. I rarely write Yelp reviews and I would recommend anyone who visits Rome to come here. Culinary highlight of our time here hands down and by a long shot. Beautiful wine list too!
google avatar

Cédric M.

Yelp
On the last day of our visit we went to a restaurant for the final dinner of our stay. We choose for a more expensive place but in the end it was all worth it! This was by far the best dinner we had in Italy!

Jorge R.

Yelp
We made a reservation for 6 to celebrate our daughter's birthday with her friends as we were visiting her. We went in person to confirm the reservation and they offered us numerous tables- very nice of them to offer us alternative tables. When we arrived our table was ready and our server was Gabriel. He was incredible. Our entire dinner took 3 hours and we were treated very well. The food was incredible. At the end they brought out a special treat for our daughter. I would highly recommend. It is a place were you should dress up since it is a classy place.
google avatar

Kai R.

Yelp
Major bummer. My wife and I did our research and came here as a special treat while in Rome. for the most part...fail. ambiance was stiff and boring...we sat inside downstairs...so if we were outside or upstairs this may have been different but inside was not cool. service was a bit awkward at times but for the most part attentive and nice (best part of our experience). Wine was decent and there was a large selection so hard to go wrong there... Food... we were open minded and excited, but right out the gates... amuse bouche was a simple cracker with an anchovy paste. Fishy. not in a bold fish flavor kind of way but just gross fishy. I love anchovies and sardines, etc. not this. My wife who was being bold and open could barely swallow and i don't blame her. Bad start. We ordered the eggplant parmesan and frizzled mackerel along with a seasonal mixed greens salad with raspberry vinaigrette...salad was virtually undressed and some of the lettuce was black wilted on the edges. Eggplant parmesan was not exciting in any way but not horrible. just ok. mackerel never came. We thought they would maybe bring it with our entree as we we're sharing but they didn't. We split the filet and it was completely forgettable. Desert was the molten chocolate cake...not bad...not great. Cappuccinos were not good. :(

Yelp
I had lunch at Antico Arco today at the recommendation of Aussie friends who had been there last year. As a meal on my last day here in Rome, I believe I couldn't have done better. I made a reservation online and the management got back to me within 24 hours with a confirmation. I took a taxi from Via Cavour (and back) and both taxi drivers charged me around 11euro. It's a little bit out of the way, so taxi is the best way to get there for out-of-towners. The service was lovely, a very fluent English-speaking Italian waiter and they have an English menu. The waiter struck the right balance between leaving me in peace and attentively looking after my needs. Lots of other reviewers rave about the menu, so I won't repeat their comments, except to say "DON'T miss the pork belly"... it was divine. And my chocolate dessert was gorgeous! The waiter also suggested my wine and he chose brilliantly. And then I went for a lovely stroll to one of the best views of Rome. Perfect last day and I'll definitely put Antico Arco in my restaurant list for future trips to Rome.

Jill S.

Yelp
If you want to experience a fine dining and modern take on Italian food while you're in Rome, GO HERE! The service was amazing and the restaurant lovely, but the food is the absolute star. We ordered a nice Chianti and dishes a la carte, which they were kind enough to separate out into two portions for us. I had one of the best scallops of my life with roasted red pepper and a delicious basil/tomato sauce. Risotto and snapper ceviche with burrata sounds like a big stretch, but the flavors were unique, refreshing and irresistible. The spaghetti carbonara was the best we had in Italy, accompanied by delicate shavings of black truffle. All of this was about 100 euros. A bargain for a completely memorable meal in Rome.

Gary L.

Yelp
This is a great dining experience. I went for lunch and had a great 8 course tasting menu for 40 euro. The wine selection is large, plenty of reasonably priced bottles as well as high end selections. I chose a 2016 German wine for 22 euro. Bread service very beautiful and taste was great. This is the place you are looking for to experience something other than pizza and pasta, although the pasta and squid was great. Great chef, great atmosphere and service was perfect.
google avatar

Kevin O.

Yelp
Best meal we had in Rome. Staff is very nice. Food is very delicious. There's a wonderful view of the entire city from a lookout in front of a fountain just a block away.

Yelp
If you are in Rome do not leave without eating here. The menu, preparation and service are second to none. The wine list is extensive and then some. The food is prepared exquisitely and the servings are just right. Expect to be blown away by new tastes and combinations. The waiters know their stuff and give excellent service. The owner is pleased to see you. You are looked after but not harassed by over-service. I have eaten all over the world and my experience here puts this restaurant in my top 10.

Yelp
Set on top of one of the seven hills its a bit of a walk but as my hotel was two steps away my colleague and I decided to chance it. And as you can see from the stars it was a real charmer. A light dining room, stylish semiformal with comfortable seating for tables of 1-6 and room for groups upstairs. Service was kind spoke English and quick. I ordered the pigeon crusted with pistachios filled with figs with a port sauce whilst my colleague went for ansjovis with burrata. Both dishes were surprises of delicacy whilst also delivering on substance. For main indulged in sea bass ravioli in shellfish bisque, great pasta. My table companion settled for snapper with artichoke puree which was both perfectly cooked as well as having crispy skin. Happy as we are we decided that dessert was a necessity and we were not disappointed . we finished with yoghurt mousse, raspberry sorbet and caramel cookie and I indulged in tonka bean cookie, white chocolate cream and ginger ice cream. It all was accompanied by glasses of wine that fitted perfectly. A real prince charming this one, go and get kissed by its flavors when in Roma.

Yelp
Have dined at a fair number of Rome's better eateries and I must say this is truly close to the top. If you want a formal stuffy many-course meal, this is not that type of establishment. The staff was friendly from the moment I called to make the reservation. The food was a delicious and surprising modern take on Roman specialties. Service was attentive without being obsequious or overbearing. Wine list was huge but not just expensive unapproachable bottles. Overall a lovely experience!

Saba R.

Yelp
The best food we have had in Rome!! Sophisticated yet true to the best in Italian and Roman cuisine. Go for the tasting menu. It was superb!!

Masi K.

Yelp
Excellent tasting menu and service. The scallop was the best one I had so far and dessert was amazing. You won't be disappointed.

Kara P.

Yelp
I thought it was quite yummy, but it is vastly overpriced. To pay €30 for an entree and €20 for an appetizer, I would expect the presentation to be better than moderate relative to high class gourmet places. I had the seabass. I also had the monkfish with lemon mayo, which was quite good. I did enjoy my meal, but i think this place is overrated. The ingredients and flavor combinations didn't strike me as particularly creative of unusual.

Sarah B.

Yelp
Mama mia - fantastico! I thought I had died and gone to heaven with that beef carpaccio! I ate outside and enjoyed the view of the ancient ramparts and arch. The servers were friendly and the owner/manager was great. I even got two dishes compliments of the chef. Such a perfect way to end my trip to Itlay!

Yelp
This place gets five stars for food, service and ambiance. The food is ltalian with a creative twist, and since we were in the mood for something light we were pleased with the choices, including appealing salads and lentil seafood soup. Although he was quite busy, the server was very helpful and accommodating. We ordered puntarelle to share which were served on two separate plates in a generous quantity. The soup was the best I've ever had, without exaggeration. The restroom was impressively clean as well. I look forward to returning!

Yelp
Unpleasant. Booked this on the recommendation of a friend for our last night in Italy. The service is good and the food is fine, but the ambiance is awful. Stark, bright light. White everything. Terrible techno music. And near silence from other diners. A complete absence of character or charm. The food is interesting, but the ambiance made this a major bummer.
