The Best Chicago Restaurant Week Deals for Vegetarians and Vegans | Eater Chicago

"Antico Posto is a Lettuce Entertain You Italian cafe and winery in suburban Oak Brook offering both lunch ($25) and dinner ($39) menus for Restaurant Week. Their dinner menu is especially exciting because it includes an adult beverage (a glass of their red/white wine or their American Sbagliato cocktail). This cocktail is a refreshing concoction of aperol, cinzano rosso, strawberry, mango, and bubbles with four food courses. Indulge in their satiating eggplant parmesan with fresh mozzarella or their tempting tiramisu with a crème anglaise indoors, outdoors, or via takeout/delivery." - Shanti Chu

This is my first review of Antico Posto but this fine restaurant has been my favorite restaurant at Oakbrook mall for decades! It consistently offers good service and great food. Today was no exception. Joy was our server - she had great recommendations and was able to tell us how dishes were prepared. We had the eggplant parmigiana- the whitefish- and followed with single scoop of delicious house- made pistachio gelato. The restaurant was busy but we were not rushed. Our intimate table for two was a perfect setting to unwind,

This is our “go to” Italian restaurant. Incredible food and always great service. It is also very reasonably priced. $200 for dinner for four adults with 3 drinks and an appetizer. That’s including tip. We all have our favorites (see pictures) Just be sure to make a reservation as they are always busy!

Came for lunch with a friend and we loved everything! The service was good, the cocktails, calamari, entrees. I definitely recommend this spot and can't wait to come back to try more of their menu.

This was our first dining experience at Antico Posto. The food was amazing! My wife and I both think the shrimp diavolo (linguine) was unlike anything we've tasted anywhere else; it was exceptionally good. The Italian salad was also fresh, and the dressing was perfectly portioned.

Was really looking forward to our lunch at this restaurant given the positive reviews but it was below average experience. The front desk folks seem disinterested, when we walked in we were told it would be 5 mins wait but it took 15 mins to get seated whereas people who walked in after us were seated immediately, which was frustrating and when my husband asked about it he was ignored and there was no apology on the wait. The menu is good, we ordered Ravioli Splendori and Rigatonni alla vodka. The Ravioli was delicious and creamy, however the rigatoni was dry and definitely can be skipped. The gelato was good. Overall it was an average experience and given the negative experience I don’t think we would ever visit again!

Our entire experience was wonderful! We arrived 15 mins early to our reservation and despite being packed we were still seated almost immediately. Victoria was so kind and attentive and the drinks and food were phenomenal! Desserts were even better!!!!!

I visited Antico Posto during Chicago Restaurant Week, and it instantly became one of my favorite restaurants. From the moment you’re seated, they serve an incredible spread of freshly baked bread and a mix of olives, pickled vegetables, cheese, and olive oil. It was absolutely phenomenal—one of the best complimentary starters I’ve ever had! While the main dishes are delicious, what truly sets this place apart for me is their chicken meatballs. I had never tasted chicken meatballs better than beef ones before, but Antico Posto changed that. They’re incredibly flavorful, tender, and unlike anything I’ve found elsewhere. Every time I visit, I make sure to order them—it’s a must-try! This restaurant truly embodies traditional Italian cuisine, with every dish exceeding expectations. However, I personally found the pasta a bit bland for my taste. That being said, you absolutely can’t skip dessert here. The gelato is always delightful, but the affogato is on another level. Even as someone who doesn’t usually drink coffee, I could tell how rich and high-quality their brew was. Antico Posto is hands down one of my favorite restaurants, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional Italian dining experience!

So I checked out Antico Posto in Oakbrook last Friday with my wife—a tiny date-night adventure to try something new. We’d spotted it online, the photos looked great, so we jumped on a reservation. On arrival, we were seated quickly in this cool Italian‑themed restaurant we hadn’t expected to find tucked behind the mall—cozy booths, Tuscan‑style woodwork, dim ambient lights… a definite vibe We kicked things off with the house‑baked bread, drizzled olive oil and those spicy giardiniera olives and peppers. It was spectacular ....it really was, like biting into warm comfort. For drinks, we had a negroni and an old fashioned—both hit the spot, balanced and smooth. Then came the whipped ricotta with truffle honey on crisp flatbread and those stuffed peppers packed with Italian sausage and vodka‑kissed sauce. Both came beautifully plated and tasted amazing. Moving on to mains, we went with the pistachio‑crusted whitefish and chicken piccata. The whitefish was tender, the nut crust added a fun textural twist. The chicken piccata had a bright lemon‑butter‑caper sauce, simple yet satisfying. Our server stood out, was really helpful, knew the menu well and kept the whole evening relaxed. Those little gestures count. So if you’re hunting for a solid Italian spot in Oak Brook that’s easy going but still special, Antico Posto is an excellent bet. We loved the vibe, the dishes, and most importantly the value. Good spot for a laid‑back, tasty night out.

Yelp
This is the type of restaurant you will love coming back to. I know it's in a mall center, but the moment you step inside, you're taken somewhere else altogether. Whereas The Olive Garden makes an attempt at transporting you to Italy, the veneer is too thing to be effective. At Antico Posto, everything feels as if it's been this way for years and years and is instantly comfortable. Every item on the menu will tantalize, and the smells that waft around will make it difficult to settle on just one dish. And the bread with olive oil and house-made gardiniera? Heaven-sent. If you're needing a break from shopping, or just an escape from the busy highways, bring yourself here. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Food was good as always, I had the Italian Pot Roast and The House Salad Nice ambiance and athmosphere Busy as always Service was very good, my server was nice My only disappointment every time I come to Lettuce Restaurants is the Surcharge they charge ... for what ? Covid Time it's over You can ask your server to have it removed and they will take it off

Yelp
Very nice Italian wine bar in the Oak Brook shopping mall. We happened upon this restaurant during their Happy Hour which extends until 5 pm, and the timing made the visit even more worthwhile. While dinner can be pricey here, Happy Hour sells most of the common wine selections at half price - for example, Chianti for $8 per glass, instead of $16 ... so it can save you a lot. This is another of Rich Mellman's Lettuce Entertain You Enterprise restaurants. We have had great luck with Mellman's LEYE places, and this outlet was no exception. Our favorite LEYE Italian restaurant is Il Porcellino in River North in downtown Chicago, and this Antico Posto came close to being as good. One of us had the Salmon Vesuvio (a 4 star offering which had a nice Vesuvio sauce for the crispy potatoes, with the fish just a hair overdone) and the other in our party had the Spaghetti Bolognese (a 3 star offering but only because it paled a bit in comparison to the same dish at Il Porcellino; very nice spaghetti, but the dish missed because it needed more of the Bolognese). A few things need calling out: First, the crispy bread with olive oil and house-made giardiniera (a 5 star starter; didn't think I'd like it, but it really wakes up your taste buds ... and it comes with the meal so you don't have to pay extra for bread). Second, we shared the Tiramisu for dessert (another 5 star offering, mainly because its lush, and decadent, and not overpowering with the alcohol). So we had 5 star starters and enders. The only other call out is the 3% surcharge they tack on to your bill ... too bad they followed the herd and simply don't raise prices a bit across the board to crowd-source the difference. Just a slightly cheap thing for an otherwise classy place.

Yelp
Memorial Day Monday was also their special spaghetti and meatballs with bolognese, delicious and pretty crowed. We also had the whitefish which is also terrific. Some new items on the menu including shrimp scampi which we can't wait to try. I'm not issue was it was extremely cold in the restaurant everyone in the adjacent dining room was cold.

Yelp
We come here all the time. I love so many of their dishes. Today we had the Caesar salad. Sliced Parmesan, crushed croutons, and nice mix of lettuces. We had the cavatelli with sausage ragu - swirl pasta, marinara sauce, sausage blended in with basil. It was recommended by our server. Definitely a 10! Prices are extremely reasonable. We sat on the deck, with a beautiful day, a perfect choice! We always love the service here. A great choice for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
I have been to Antico Posto twice; once on a date night and once with our family of 6. It has been outstanding on both occasions!! It always seems to be busy so please consider a reservation in advance. Service has been wonderful both times and I've had a chance to try many of their dishes!! If you are looking for a great go-to Italian place, look no further. We love both the Brussels sprouts and calamari appetizers. And obviously the pasta is to die for! Definitely worth checking out, don't let the crowds scare you.

Yelp
I have a very mixed review of this restaurant. When we first arrived, the host told us it would be a 30 minute wait because we came early to our reservation which we were fine with. However, a couple seated at a table saw us waiting and informed us that it was actually first come first serve and we could just have their table after they left. We were just kind of confused by the mixed information and why the host didn't tell us it was first come first. Aside from this, the food was very underwhelming. The bread was okay but the dipping sauce was bitter. I got the gnocchi and it tasted almost undercooked. I hope it just wasn't a good day and that this wasn't a representation of the restaurant.

Yelp
As usual the food is always delicious! The service from Eric our server and our buser Ruben was phenomenal! Eric was extra attentive, kind and polite! Eric took extra time with us in a timely manner. Ruben always making sure we have all we need..Thank you for a great experience!!!!

Yelp
Antico Posto exceeded expectations during restaurant week. The gnocchi was a highlight, and the dessert, though okay, didn't overshadow the overall positive experience. The service was exceptional, contributing to a delightful dining atmosphere. Additionally, the mocktails were a tasty and refreshing addition to the meal. A well-rounded and enjoyable visit.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner with a friend and left feeling satisfied and full! We made a reservation beforehand and were seated right away upon our arrival. Since we marked we were celebrating a birthday, our table was set up with a cute happy birthday card, which is the first restaurant I've seen who has done this gesture! Overall, I thought the food was great and portions were fair. We ordered the Margherita pizza, linguini with shrimp, and the arugula salad. Out of all 3 dishes, my favorite was the pasta -- so so flavorful and appreciated how the shrimps were actually big! To top it off, we got a complimentary birthday dessert; brownie (I think it was at least lol) with vanilla ice cream to share! Great spot for small and large parties!

Yelp
Part of the Lettuce Entertain Enterprise, this cozy Italian cafe is located in the Oakbrook Center . Came on a Saturday night for our Anniversary. Made reservations for 530pm and were seated immediately. Reservations are highly recommended. This place was hopping! Tables are very close to each other and they turn them around fast. The waitress was very helpful in explaining their daily specials and menu items. Prices are on the higher end. My wife is Gluten Free so they had a special menu. You start with fresh Italian bread and olive oil with giardiniera. They offered to bring a slice of gluten free bread but it never came. Nice selection of wine..only about 4 beers offered and various cocktails. A glass of wine averages about 14.00 and we did wait for our drinks to be served. Started with the grilled calamari with garlic and chili flakes served over arugula . A little chewy in our opinion. My wife ordered the whitefish with mashed potatoes and spinach with a herb butter sauce. Very good portions and flavorful. She asked for the sauce on the side but it came with it already on the fish. Also ordered the cavatelli with sausage in an Arrabbiata sauce which was a little spicey but very good. Again large portions. We finished the night with their homemade Turtle Gelato which was creamy and delicious. Surprised they didn't do anything special for our Anniversary but maybe going on a busy Saturday night was our mistake. Very crowded and seemed rush but the food was very good. They also do not let you redeem award dollars on Saturdays! Will go to another Lettuce Entertain You restaurant in the future to use our points but probably not back to Antico Posto.

Yelp
Overall 4.5/5, but will bump it to a 5/5 because of that gnocchi bolognese. Make sure to make a reservation if you want to eat here especially on a Friday evening. Thankful my friend made a 6 PM reservation a few days in advance because the restaurant was pretty booked. The interior has that classic Italian restaurant feel. Our server brought us complimentary bread and olive oil (which had cheese and olives in it - very fancy) after sitting us down and giving us water. The bread was so soft and fresh. My friend and I shared an app, pizza, entree and desserts and here were our thoughts: FRIED CALAMARI - 15.95 The fried calamari were pretty standard. Nothing out of the ordinary, I'd recommend if you really want calamari but you can get this anywhere. There was much cheese on top which my friend and I scraped off. We liked that they gave us two different sauces (garlic tomato & lemon aioli). The lemon aioli tasted more like tartar sauce. I definitely enjoyed the garlic tomato sauce better. PROSCIUTTO & BURRATA PIZZA - 17.95 Good amount of prosciutto but once you take a bite, the whole pieces goes into your mouth which means the rest of your slice only had some herbs and burrata. I would prefer more burrata on my pizza. Overall, pretty solid option if you like both prosciutto and burrata. GNOCCHI BOLOGNESE - 19.95 I'm not usually a huge gnocchi fan but this one blew me away. The gnocchi was so soft and fluffy, and the ricotta was bursting in my mouth - definitely one of the best gnocchis I've ever had and I'll think about this for awhile. The bolognese sauce wasn't too heavy but it was rich in flavor and complemented the gnocchi perfectly and I was amazed. I would highly recommend getting the gnocchi bolognese here if you're not sure what to get, and if you are vegetarian, there are options for that too! TIRAMISU - 9.95 We finished off the night with a tiramisu which was meh. The lady fingers were perfect - not too dry and didn't have too much of the lingering alcohol taste. However there was too much cream and too much cheese. Not a fan of that ratio and we felt like it was too imbalanced. AGAIN, COME HERE FOR THE GNOCCHI BOLOGNESE. THEY DON'T MESS AROUND HERE. GIVE IT A TRY. You'll thank your decision while eating and the day after.

Yelp
Came here on Mother's Day. I made a reservation on OpenTable a week prior and had no issue upon arrival. We were seated at a smaller table and they were packed! Although super busy our waiter came to our table often, explained the menu to us and checked back in often. Our food came out super quick and was really hot. Both my mom and I enjoyed our food. She got a salad and gnocchi and I had the cheese ravioli. The raviolis were filling and the gnocchi melted in our mouths. A salad, two entrees and an iced tea was $57.62+ a 20% tip makes for about a $70 meal. They add an automatic 3% restaurant surcharge. For the price of $20 per pasta dish I do think it's kind of pricey for what you get. Adding a salad was another $8. Maybe in the future they can incorporate a small salad with your entree. I will say that although expensive the food was very fresh. We were in and out in under an hour. Staff was all welcoming and nice.

Michael M.

Yelp
I've only tried their sausage pizza quickly as a to go order. The order came out fast, the pizza was hot and delicious. I can't speak for the whole menu but I would definitely recommend the pizza!

Yelp
Unsure what the craze is about this place, but recently dined here and felt like my Italian meal was sub par. Dined with 3 others so we started off with calamari and a couple glasses of wine. The fried calamari barely had enough to share. Portion was extremely small. I ordered the gnocchi bolognese, my sister ordered the ravioli alle vodka - both small portions. I finished my dish within 5 minutes and my dish looked unpleasing. It was bolognese sauce on the plate and gnocchi pulled out of the pot just dropped on the plate. My mom ordered the chicken Parmesan which had a nice piece of chicken, and the plain spaghetti on the side - not within sauce. For how nice of a place this is, this is such a poor representation of Italian cuisine. 4 pasta dishes, 2 glasses of wine and 1 barely enough fried calamari ran us a bill of $135. Over priced. Our server was great, service and ambiance was nice, I just don't think the food matches the vibe. I don't recommend this place.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a long-standing restaurant in the Oak Brook Mall. Only recently have I been to it. We got the calamari and two pastas. The bread and olive oil came with a kind of pickled vegetables and shredded cheese with the olive oil. The bread was quite good that came with this. The calamari was first. Even though it was very crispy and well fried, I thought that the meat itself was slightly chewy for some reason. I loved the bed of arugula as well as the two dips it came with. My pasta was the sausage cavatelli. This was good. It has a very hearty texture but it isn't overwhelming. The pasta texture was well cooked too. There was not an overwhelming amount of meat either. I noticed they both cooked basil inside of the sauce as well as put fresh basil on top. It was also topped with thin cheese flakes. Food came out very hot. The other dish my table got was angel hair pasta. Unfortunately this was not very good. It tasted way too sour for some reason. Service was good/as expected. The menu items are decent value. It's a place that's not too pricey but you can get higher quality italian food at a convenient location.
google avatar

Tricia B.

Yelp
When you order your food to go, and the flavors and textures are still popping - way to go! I ordered the arugula salad and the linguini with shrimp. Not sure what was my favorite. I loved the bread that came with garlic Parmesan oil. The shrimp was delicious with fresh tomatoes and Basil. The arugula salad was also great. I break all rules by putting the Parmesan from my salad on my fettuccini. Delicious!

Yelp
The food was soooo good here. We were visiting a friend in Chicago and she told us to meet her there for lunch. The service was great and we followed all the recommendations our server gave us. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Ilana O.

Yelp
The place: sprawling, suburban. Feels a bit like a cookie cutter kind of space, but the taste is anything but. Service was solid. Maybe a little slow with water refills, but again, they were PACKED at 5:00 on a Sunday evening. The taste: surprisingly delightful. Pasta from scratch. Brussels sprouts were delectable. Everything was rich, flavorful, well-balanced, and cooked beautifully. My face: this was a holiday gift, so I didn't see the bill, but entrees ranged from $15 - $30 a piece. Wine and other cocktails were plentiful, but I opted for a Diet Coke. If you find yourself with a large group in oak brook, would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
We went here for my wife's birthday. Ordered a funghi pizza and ravioli ala vodka. The service was great throughout our meal. We would definitely come back!
google avatar

Caitlin R.

Yelp
Antico posto is certainly a spot to hit! Their gnocchi was absolutely delicious (they're known for it!) We also loved the atmosphere! Enjoyed the rose and Pinot Grigio as well.

Yelp
Delicious chicken dish. Olive oil cake real whipped cream and Cherries. Sat outside on a beautiful day.
google avatar

Yelp
The atmosphere has a warm, welcoming, Italian Cafe feel. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He also remembered me from when I was in months ago and remembered my order. Very flattering. They have a very nice menu full of options for all tastes as well as a nice drink menu. I had a French martini which was light and very enjoyable. For an appetizer I went with the burrata caprese salad. Cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil, and aged balsamic. It also came with bread that was basically seasoned pizza crust. This dish was really good. It was basically a deconstructed pizza. The bread was soft warm and well seasoned. The tomatoes were juicy and flavorful. The cheese was cool and creamy. Everything worked beautifully together. For my meal I had the trofie pasta with pesto. The sauce was made of basil, parsley, pine nuts, grana padano, and lemon. It had a very nice flavor and was very enjoyable. For dessert I had the chocolate budino. Warm chocolate pudding cake with vanilla whipped cream. Very tasty and a great way to end a delicious meal. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend

Yelp
I decided to come here for my birthday after reading multiple great reviews and it did not disappoint! The ambiance makes you feel like you are in a old school Italian restaurant. They start out by serving fresh bread with a olive oil blend. We ordered a pepperoni pizza as an appetizer and it was one kid the best thin crust pizzas I have tried. For my entree I ordered the Angel hair pomodoro and added breaded chicken (I do not like think noodles in a tradition chicken parm.) It was excellent and I had plenty for a second meal to take home. The service was fantastic and our server was very attentive to any requests we had. I would 10/10 recommend!
google avatar

Ruth L.

Yelp
Busy restaurant, we came in on a Sunday night, nice location in Oakbrook Court tucked in a corner near the AMC. Nice attentive staff and host. Food came out fairly quickly and prices are decent here as well. Bread starter and olive oil - was good, I liked the bread a lot, the olive oil mix was okay to me. Italian wedding soup, this was okay, I think I expected more than meatballs in here, everyone makes it a bit different, so I've had versions with more fixins in the soup. Mule cocktail - this was okay, we also had a whiskey drink which was alright as well. Now the starters and soup and cocktails were more average, but I will say the entree's were delicious! Pappardelle Beef Ragu was delicious with home made pasta. Husband really like the white fish dinner, fish was flaky and tender. All in all, decent for the price. Get the home made pasta!
google avatar

Matthew W.

Yelp
Went for dinner with the family last weekend. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated quickly and didn't have to wait too long for the waiter to arrive. You get fresh bread and giardiniera with your meal, and it was fantastic. Ordered fried calamari and brussel sprouts for an appetizer. Both were just ok. Brussel sprouts were kind of unevenly cooked. I had scallop risotto for dinner and it was great. My wife had the steak with polenta, which she said was just ok. My daughter had gnocchi in mushroom sauce. The gnocchi were super delicate, but had no flavor. My son had a pizza which seemed under cooked. Tiramisu and chocolate lava cake were just ok as well. Restaurant was very clean. Due to there being so many other dining options in the area, probably won't be back.

Mina K.

Yelp
I love their food and their menu is excellent! But the only problem is that their angel hair pomodoro gives me diarrhea every time I eat it. It's so good when it's going down but coming out is a different story. Please put less probiotics into your food and give me the link to them.
google avatar

Maddy O.

Yelp
The gluten free pasta was average, nothing special. However, one of my friends said the gnocchi was the best she's ever had. The service was good for how busy they were. Ambiance is romantic and a slight step above casual!
google avatar

Amanda P.

Yelp
I genuinely love this restaurant. I have come here all the time and will always recommend it to people and bring out of towners here. I love gnocchi , so I can be picky, and their gnocchi dishes are amazing. My favorite is the gnocchi Bolognese. I have also had some of their gelato's and so far my favorite has been blueberry cheesecake. Staff is also great and I've never had a bad experience eating here. I plan to keep coming back because this is hands down my favorite Italian restaurant local to where I live.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place while last minute looking for a dinner place when I was in the Oak Brook area. At 5:30pm on a Saturday they said it would be a one hour wait. Wow this place gets busy! We got lucky and there were a few open bar seats so we took those instead. To start they give you complimentary bread and an olive oil dip with things like olives, cheese, etc mixed in. I really enjoyed this as a starter. Both the bread and dip were delicious. For dinner, we ordered gnocchi funghi and cavatelli with sausage to share between the 2 of us. Gnocchi funghi ($18.95): 5/5 lovedddd this so much!! The texture of the gnocchi was phenomenal and the mushrooms were cut into perfectly thin slices. The crispy sage elevated the flavors even more Cavatelli with sausage ($18.95): 4/5 this was also really delicious and the cavatelli was perfectly chewy. I just liked the gnocchi more but really no complaints with this dish! I also ordered a small house made gelato ($4.95). They have different flavors every day of the week. The day we went it was pistachio. Sadly the gelato was quite disappointing. It was really icy rather than being creamy in texture. From reading other reviews it seems like this is not typically the case so I'm not sure why it was so bad this time around. It also came topped with some candies pistachios. Overall I really liked this place and would definitely recommend to others and revisit! It's a busy restaurant with great food and very reasonable prices.

Yelp
I have been coming here for over 18 years and must have eaten here at least a few hundred if not, thousand times over the years. This is definitely one let us entertain you restaurant that has either maintained and or improved over the years without sacrificing quality. I love coming here. I love the service every time I come here the food and menu changes regularly which is fabulous also. The energy the vibe the sound, and also the patio set up is really quite convenient. It is a great stop in between a long day of shopping weather for lunch or even for dinner. Reservations absolutely necessary as I've never seen this place empty.
google avatar

Yelp
Antico posto is a cute, romantic place for some great Italian food. In a Friday night, it was pretty busy as expected - so our wait was a bit lengthy. However, once we were seated, our server was pretty consistent and attending. Unfortunately, there was a slight mixup with our order, but our server was quite apologetic and corrected it immediately. The food was good, appetizers came out first. Drinks were nice, complimenting for the food. Desserts were tasty, rich and full of flavor, so basically couldn't go wrong with any of those. It's definitely a place I'd come back to, for date night, double dates, family celebrations, etc. so be sure to put it on your list to try at least once!

Yelp
All meals have been outstanding. Service very good. Loved seasonal Butternut Squash ravioli. Wish it became a staple. Most fabulous desert is orange dream cycle. Tangerine flavored crushed ice topped with vanilla ice cream and candied shaved orange oral.

Yelp
A solid Thursday dinner in wonderful Oakybrook was just a great idea. Sure crusing out west to the burbs is never fun at 6p on a weekday but this dinner made it worth while. The four of us were seated right away as this restaurant was busy as the servers were zipping around. We started with their Brussel Sprouts and the Burrata both of which was amazing. Then I did the gluten free version of their Shrimp Pasta with oven dried tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. So fresh, so tasty and sooo good! I would def come back here to try their other menu items. I highly recommend reservations as they are a must.

Yelp
Wine was great. Food was delicious. Seating was less than stellar and the service was just okay, which is why they lost a star.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick drink. The bartender was a complete JERK! Slopped the drink together. Threw the check on the table. He had the character of a "Wet Mop". Shame the restaurant needs to be tarnished from help like this. Try the restaurant. Stay away from Oscar the Grouch at the bar.

Yelp
Really good Italian food snd generally generous portions. We had Chicken Parmesan, Spaghetti Bolognese, Brussel sprouts and Arugula Salad to go. $77 before tip and came with fresh baked Italian bread and olive oil with cheese. They omitted their complimentary giardinara but otherwise yummy. Sprout order seemed a bit small for price but other portions were generous

Yelp
Ordered to-go from this place for the first time for lunch and I must say, no major complaints. I ordered the chicken parm and was quite satisfied. The order came with two lightly breaded chicken slices and pasta. The noodles were thin and the sauce was decent. Shockingly, I didn't need to eat Tums to save my stomach from this dish . Regarding the to-go order, I'm not sure if the pasta portion is larger when you dine-in, but it did appear that you get around a cup sized portion of the pasta and two decent sized chicken slices. Usually at restaurants it's the other way around. You get more pasta and less meat. I did fill up pretty quick with the portion though, so I wound up eating this meal two days in a row for lunch. In other words, I'd probably give this restaurant another try.

Yelp
Best Italian food in area. Not to mention, if you are a LEYE (Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises) rewards member - be sure to collect those points because you most likely will be back! Get the Arugula salad and try the Mushroom Gnocchi with Shrimp! Complimentary bread and pickles is also a huge plus here. Do not sleep on Dessert either. Go for it!

Yelp
Chicken Raguso is amazing. So glad it went back on the menu versus being a weekly special.

Yelp
This place is ok that's all. Let's start with the costumer service. That was just amazing, we were greeted with a smile and both hostess were super nice. We had a reservation at 3:15 got there at 3:00 pm but we were seated right away. It was nice to have such a nice and professional waiter. No issues with the costumer service. Now, the place's ambience is very clean and very aesthetically pleasing. It's a causal place to eat at, but the way this place looks makes it have a fancy upscale feeling. Now the let down, which was supposed to be the best part of the whole experience, the food. The food was ok, nothing out of the world. I had the spaghetti bolognese, it tasted like a school lunch spaghetti. The salmon was way overcooked. Now the bread was the only good thing we ate. The fried squid was ok, nothing special. The 3 is only for the amazing costumer service.

Yelp
Best cheese gnocchi on the planet!! We had gnocchi Bolognese, spaghetti bolognese, chicken Parmesan and a chicken mushroom heaven dish on creamy polenta. All were 5 star. Our server Hector was awesome. He wasn't even upset that after the bottle of wine, one at our table was calling him Herbert, cause that's the street they live on. The cappuccino was awesome, the desserts were awesome. Tiramisu was not real wet, like at some places. I looooved the Panna cotta. I posted pics of most dishes. Will definitely be here again!!

Yelp
Ok so am on gluten free diet so I decided to go with my son to Antico Posto hoping to see if our family friend was working today but unfortunately she must be on a vacation. I know I know I specialize in Italian food but did not want to go home and cook. We had grilled calamari it was cooked to perfection not burned, and what I cook everyday lol roasted Brussels sprouts with ricotta cheese, I am not a big fan of gardineria we had seconds it was so delicious not salty at all. My son had gnocchi with mushrooms I took his word but I can no longer eat mushrooms so I did not taste them. I had a margherita with extra basilico but did not appreciate the saltiness of the garlic oil. I just has a slice. The service was great we had a very nice waiter so he brought us more warm bread yum. The ambiance was hectic for a Monday but service was quick and perfect. My son had two non alcoholic fruit drinks he said it was good. I love the name antico posto. I wish they had Italian music in the background to match the name. I was in a gluten high so that is why I did not eat much. Although my specialty at home is to cook Italian. I learned from the best my mother in law. When she would visit Chicago she would teach me tricks although her son is the best chef here in the burbs he does not share recipes nor tips on how to do something. The chicken looked good from far. I had a tastes for suppa di pesce but I did not see it in the menu. Over all the food was good and the service was fantastic Ciao

Yelp
Super good. Fast service and delicious food. Drinks are powerful too. I will say that the prices are a little high but not compared to other places in Oak Brook Center. The polenta and steak dish is especially tasty.

Yelp
I love this place - one of the best Eggplant Parmesan I've ever had! My friend got the Chicken Parmesan and she only had good things to say about it. It's really crispy and they serve it over angel hair pasta! To start they give you fresh bread with pickled olives. The tiramisu is also really good! I'd recommend making a reservation because they always are busy! I'll be back for sure! :)

Yelp
I have been hearing about this place. Everything is made in house. You can definitely tell that the ingredients are good quality. A Lettuce Entertain You gift card is what brought us in, to be honest. My favorite item was the Calamri, it was done very well. Everything was great, I just felt the food was lacking flavor. We even asked for Parmesan cheese, but still was lacking something. I couldn't put my finger on it. The noodles seemed, again, flavorless. I'm thinking this is what authentic Italian is like? I guess I just got used to the Americanized version of Italian food. But overall, presentation and service were great. I think I'd like to come back and just try their Alfredo pasta. Oh yeah, dessert was excellent.

Yelp
Antico Posto is a well-known Italian restaurant that boasts a cozy ambiance and an impressive menu of classic Italian dishes. While the food was undoubtedly delicious and the atmosphere inviting, I must mention that the service fell short of my expectations, which impacted my overall dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm ambiance, with dim lighting and rustic decor that set the stage for a delightful meal. The menu was filled with tempting options, and I couldn't wait to dig in. However, the service started to show some signs of weakness early on. Our server seemed overwhelmed and was slow to take our drink orders, leaving us waiting longer than expected. We were also moved after ordering drinks and it was inconvenient to pick up our stuff and walk across the restaurant. With the service being slow, the move made it slower. As we placed our food orders, our server appeared rushed and did not provide much guidance or recommendations, which was disappointing. We had to inquire about the specials and ask for details on certain dishes, which made us feel like we were inconveniencing the server. Additionally, we had to wait quite a while for our appetizers to arrive, and the bread basket that was supposed to be complimentary was never brought to our table. While the food was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal, with flavors that were authentic and satisfying, the timing of the courses was off. The main course was served while we were still working on our appetizers, which felt rushed and disrupted the flow of the meal. It seemed like there was a lack of coordination between the kitchen and the service staff, leading to a disjointed dining experience. Another aspect that fell short was the lack of attentiveness from the server throughout the meal. Our water glasses remained empty for extended periods, and we had to flag down the server to request refills. Additionally, we had questions about the dessert menu, but our server was nowhere to be found, and we ended up skipping dessert altogether. Despite these service hiccups, I must mention that the mid-service was a bright spot. During the mid-service, our server checked on us, but it was evident that she was still stretched thin attending to other tables. She did share some information about the ingredients and cooking techniques, but the overall level of engagement and personal touch was lacking compared to what I had anticipated based on the restaurant's reputation. In conclusion, Antico Posto offers a delightful culinary experience with its delicious Italian cuisine and inviting ambiance. However, the service could benefit from improvement in terms of attentiveness, timing, and personal touch to truly elevate the dining experience. With some adjustments to the service, Antico Posto has the potential to provide a flawless dining experience that matches the excellence of its cuisine.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous meal! The staff was very friendly and the service was awesome! I had the pistachio crusted white fish, which was amazing and fresh! My husband ordered the fresh gnocchi with mushroom gravy, which was delicious! We ordered the crispy brussel sprouts with fresh ricotta as an appetizer and practically licked the plate. Even on the way out, a random server commented on my bag. I can't say enough about the place. A step above other Italian restaurants for sure!
