"This Italian restaurant with locations in Winthrop and Lynn has replaced the short-lived Trattoria Orsini in Salem. The restaurant serves pizza, pasta, and more, not to mention sangria, and it will feature seasonal outdoor seating along the water when the time comes." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Full restaurant reservation for Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party - In late August of 2024 we hosted our wedding in Ipswich / Salem. After researching, and visiting a dozen venues in the area, we landed on the Antique Table to host our rehearsal dinner (30) and welcome party (100+). - Planning / Communication - Maureen who handles all of the events is an absolute gem. We visited the restaurant twice for dinner prior to the event to try different items and talk through details with her. She was unbelievably accommodating with adds and tweaks (menu, alcohol options etc) and always available for a phone call. - Food & Drink - Rehearsal dinner food can be quite bland, but this stacks up to the North End. We had a wide range of option for apps and entrees. - Location - very centralized location right in downtown Salem with plenty of nearby parking. Most of guests walked front heir hotels. - Venue - The front dinning room comfortably held our 30 person dinner with room to spare. The back patio was great for hosting welcome drinks as most of our guests spent their time outside. We had a buffet of apps set up in the back dinning room which was convenient for those going to the bar. - Pricing - great quality for food and venue as compared to other venues. We never felt nickled & dimed, and were their #1 priority. Overall, it was a great experience start to finish with nothing but compliments from our dinner guests.

The service was absolutely phenomenal! The food… even better.! We went here previously and were not huge fans but now they are under new ownership. It’s a beautiful fusion of authentic Italian and Latino food. We have been back twice because the menu had so many dishes we wanted to try. Shrimp scampi and beef empanadas were to die for. Bread pudding was the bomb. The manager, Katelyn, well I can’t say enough about her. Professional, warm and authentic. And makes a mean cocktail! We will be back again and again! Would add photos but we cleaned the plates!

FABULOUS dinner at the Antique Table! My sister, Claire. my niece, Alyse & I were celebrating my engagement. The moment we stepped into this lovely restaurant the atmosphere was perfect the glow of a warm fire burning, the sleek low lighting & the aroma was out of this world! Our server Maureen was attentive and knowledgeable she made recommendations which were delicious. The other staff members were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. We started with cocktails & wine then enjoyed caesar salad, potato gnocchi bolognese, chicken penne a la vodka and a sautéed crusted chicken marsala with ricotta gnocchi. Everything seemed to melt in your mouth. The food was scrumptious. Highly recommended!!!

Went to the Antique Table on a quiet mid-week evening. The food was delicious. By chance, the owner was sitting next to us at the bar. We enjoyed speaking with her, as well as the bar tender. Nice people, great location. We will be going back soon to sit outside on their river front patio !

We had our daughter’s wedding dinner at the Antique Table. The staff was exceptional and the facility exceeded our expectations. Everyone on staff were kind and professional and made our family’s experience incredibly memorable. The food selection was varied and delicious. Give this restaurant a try next time you’re in Salem. You will be happy you did!!

We were whisked away to Europea for dinner! The atmosphere is sophisticated, relaxed, and quaint. You will want to linger! Menu is a perfect mix of Italian and Latin which is really well done! The food was amazing as were the drinks. The white chocolate bread pudding was to die for. Definitely worth checking out!

Everything we ordered for appetizers and dinners was very good except for the pizza. The pizza crust was soggy. My only comment is that our dinner could’ve been better if there were fewer mistakes with what we ordered and what was brought out to us. We were brought an appetizer that we did not order, and we had to ask about it. Two of us did not get our desserts until we asked for them. The water for the tea was warm. They were nice enough to warm my milk for the tea, but the temperature was so off that the milk curdled in my tea. The way they serve their customers seems a little confusing to both staff and customers. I only notice one waitress and a few runners. The runners seem confused as to who ordered what and if everything was delivered accurately. I think they need to refine their system.

Yelp
We ordered delivery on Wednesday night. Two dishes before the delivery fee were almost $60! Hubs got the veal piccata and said it was very good. I ordered the Cabanara and was charged to add shrimp. This was astoundingly disappointing! I found a measly three, maybe four, overcooked shrimp; the sauce lacked flavor, carbonara, or alfredo sauce, as the menu suggests. I had to add a ton of salt, black pepper, and my own grated parmesan cheese to make it remotely palatable. Picture for reference. Typically, dining in I would alert staff right away. I tried messaging them on FB, and they have yet to respond. Unfortunately, I do not foresee us using them anytime soon.

Yelp
Antique Table Lynn Review Nestled at 2 Essex St, Lynn, MA, Antique Table Lynn is your cozy gateway to classic Italian pasta heaven! Stepping inside feels like visiting your grandparents' home, complete with nostalgic wall pictures For appetizers, we indulged in the Calamari Fritti ($17.95): Crispy fried calamari with hot cherry peppers in a spicy house marinara sauce. The freshness and size of the calamari were spot-on, earning a solid 9/10. Next up, the Eggplant Rollatine($16.95), stuffed with ricotta, topped with provolone cheese, basil, and marinara sauce. A cheesy delight for eggplant aficionados, also a 9/10. Entrees were a treat, starting with the Gnocchi Basilico ($17.95): Potato gnocchi with sautéed garlic, fresh tomatoes, basil, and olive oil. Possibly the fluffiest gnocchi outside of mom's kitchen - another 9/10. ‍ The Chicken Miguel ($23.95): Panko crusted chicken over potato gnocchi in a creamy Marsala sauce. Perfectly cooked chicken paired with a divine sauce scored yet another 9/10. As an Italian with high pasta standards, I'm thrilled to say Antique Table in Lynn delivers some of the cheesiest eggplant rollatine and fluffiest gnocchi in the North Shore. If you're a local or just passing through, don't miss out on this gem! Ratings: Food: 9/10 Ambiance: 7/10 Affordability: 7/10

Yelp
The food was amazing! The service was a little slow, but the ambiance and decor were beautiful. My server told me that it was her second evening at work, and I told her that she would do well! I enjoyed the haddock, lemon risotto - but had to take my dessert home, as I was waaaaaay too full! I will definitely go there, when I return to Salem. I did enjoy my limoncello cream cake much later that night.....wonderful dessert!

Phil L.

Yelp
My wife was in tear! This is not remotely close to The Antique table in Lynn. We had special guests from out of state for a special occasion and we were under the impression that this location was an expansion. We rolled the dice and were excited to hear they expanded. The hostess told us it's the same menu with the addition of an Argentinian flare of some sort of meat varieties and an Argentinian meat platter option on the menu. We didn't go there for the meat platter but understood that it still had the authentic north end Italian flavors like the hidden gem in Lynn. Wow! The pasta dishes were so bad, our 8 year old could have done better. They claimed that the fettuccine was homemade. Market basket brand is superior. If ramen noodles made fettuccine it would be comparable. There Italian food is so bad, I'd rather eat a frozen dinner out of a can. We were so upset that we brought our guests there thinking it would be like the one in Lynn. Clearly there was some kind of deal made with the owners to use the original brand. They won't last a year. Salem pop up restaurant. Next!

wyatt p.

Yelp
The chicken parmigiana was incredible. The waitress let me know the fettuccine noodles are made here and I tried them- best pasta I've had yet in life. Something I liked about this restaurant is the vibe and environment, everything was lit up and had a great feel to it.

Erica M.

Yelp
Consistently amazing food & service! Atmosphere is excellent, whether you sit indoors or outdoors. Generous pours on drinks, as well as huge portions. I've never had a bad meal here. There are so many places to dine at in Salem, and we come here for dinner every single time. High points: red sauce, carbonara, meatballs, eggplant rollatini, and the martinis. Can't wait to come back!

Dierdre B.

Yelp
We had such a fun time at Antique Table. The owner is lovely and ensures that you have a wonderful time. Our server was extremely helpful and sweet. The specialty cocktails are amazing! You must try the Chicken Valdostano!

Theresa R.

Yelp
Delicious food and amazing staff. The steak was tender and easy to cut. The moscato was delicious and sweet.

Yelp
I haven't been on Yelp in forever, but had to log in to give this place their well-earned one star. Terrible, terrible service for overpriced, mediocre food. We were there for three hours, most it taken up by waiting. It took 45 minutes for our initial drinks to arrive and even then the tonic in my G&T was flat and everyone else got a lime in their drink but me. No big deal right? Under normal circumstances, not at all, but in reality it was the first sign of how much things would deteriorate over the evening and how poorly their bar - and overall establishment - was being run. The service was disgracefully slow and the server made no effort to let us know that the bar was understaffed and that things were backed up. (I mean, seriously girl, it's OK to throw everyone else under the bus if they deserve it.) It took another hour for us to get dinner. By the time we were almost finished, we decided we needed to cancel the bottle of wine that was clearly not going to be served with dinner. Apparently there is no one in this Italian restaurant capable of opening a bottle of red wine. The best part was that the manager made our server come to us and apologize (not her fault) AND blamed his WIFE who took our reservation and said, "She's too nice; she says yes to everyone." As if he never met her and as if they don't have the right and the responsibility to cap reservations if there isn't enough staff. Hire another freaking bartender! Teach your staff how to cope when things are backed up! And most of all, pal, roll up your damn sleeves and get to work yourself when things are that bad. Deliver food, mix drinks, open a bottle of wine. (Also, you might think about adding some flavor to the food.) I will never go to this place again under the current management.

Roberta M.

Yelp
Customer service 0 stars I can't say how disappointed I am, having eaten at the Lynn store I was so impressed by them but this store never. Ever again!!!!

Christine C.

Yelp
Family party today at Antique Table and it was wonderful. The Staff could not have been more courteous and efficient. From young to old they made us all feel comfortable and were very attentive. The Manager was so helpful with menu selections and the food presentation was beautiful and appetizing. The decor is old world charm and caught your imagination. If your planning a trip to Salem and want food and drinks to remember you can't go wrong with the Antique Table

John S.

Yelp
Be very careful. They charge significantly more on the bill than they advertise on the menu. They are difficult when the overcharges are presented to them. We felt they were very dishonest.

Kristine L.

Yelp
We had a fabulous dinner! The food was delcious-appetizers, main course and desserts. Drinks were also great. We all had something different but enjoyed every bite. The staff was welcoming, attentive and made us feel like family. The decor is also very fun as we reminisced with friends about the different paintings and where we had seen them. The setting was perfect for a dinner with friends.

Ali K.

Yelp
Forget the food the people that work here are miserable, I went to go pick up an order and waited for 25 minutes after being told it would only be five minutes, which I heard a waitress start complaining and yelling about her work, complaining yelling and acting like a little girl in front of a restaurant is very embarrassing, and I would hate to have that look on my restaurant. If I didn't speak up, I probably would've been there for another hour, do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else

Matthew G.

Yelp
Mediocre food at best. Terrible service. Up charged wine $9 per glass on bill and didn't say anything until we brought it to their attention. No manager was on site and we were told that the menus were not up to date. I'm fairly sure that false advertising is still illegal but being as progressive as Salem has become, I could be mistaken. Do yourself a solid and stay far away from this place.

Pat C.

Yelp
The staff at the Table were very attentive and friendly. The food and portions were very good and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I will return.

Rita C.

Yelp
I will be calling the attorney general's office regarding the Salem location. I had a gift card and they would not honor it. The Manager said the gift card could only be used at the Lynn location since that is where the card was from. The receipt for the gift card stated it was purchased in Salem. Horrible business! Food wasn't that good either. Friday night and hardly anyone was in the restaurant, what does that say about it. One star but it should be zero!

Jillian M.

Yelp
If your visiting Salem and looking for quality Italian food, steak or seafood this should be your go to spot! The chicken parm was outstanding & sauce was simply delicious! Atmosphere was elegant but laid back & service was superb! I will definitely be back.

Shirley C.

Yelp
Delicious and fun. Great atmosphere Food was excellent. Service was good despite being extremely busy. I'd definitely go again

chris s.

Yelp
So good, such great food and family that owns it is wonderful. Will go back soon, we order all the time.

Allison C.

Yelp
Great place! Amazing food and very kind staff. Would highly recommend. Very nicely decorated inside as well. Will be returning :)

Richard S.

Yelp
Significantly larger than Lynn restaurant but every bit as good if not better. We came to beat the Salem October madness and Anderson took care of us. Nice bar with high tops when you enter. Salads are large and filling. Chicken Mauricio over choice of pasta was filling and smothered with cheese. Meat ball appetizer was excellent and filling as well. Figure meal with a few glasses of wine and and appetizers will run around $110-$125 but worth it. Will definitely return after Halloween when Salem returns to norm Went last night and was disappointed. Maybe it was Cinco de Mayo and restaurant was unprepared for the crowd or maybe because staff was out but both service and food preparation disappointed us. Three and one- half stars. My house salad was drenched in dressing and my chicken valdestano was not what I remembered from last time. Both drinks and food came out sporadically and our waiter was also trying to tend bar. I hope this was a off evening but it did disappoint.

Angelo O.

Yelp
When we arrived, we instantly noticed the menu was completely different in-person as shown online. The service was mediocor and we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. It seemed like the server was inexperienced. She didn't take our order for our meals after we ordered our appetizers. We had to request her over after waiting and after ordering our food it took very long to be served. The food was cold, the prices are high and the descriptions of the meals were deceiving from what was actually served. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Mary A.

Yelp
So many things have been challenging this year that, when something (anything?) goes seamlessly it kind of feels miraculous. That was our experience with Antique Table. Picture this: two days before a wedding, the venue for the rehearsal dinner (carefully planned out because of covid) cancelled on us (because of covid ...). Understandable and better safe than sorry and all that - but where are we going to take everyone on a Friday night in Salem for a nice dinner? Antique Table. Our waitstaff was amazing - Maureen was the clear favorite - and helped with everything from decorating to drink choices. The food could not have been better and the timing was excellent. Eggplant Parmesan appetizer was life changing, and my linguine with Bolognese was exactly perfect. I imagine we tried everything on the menu, actually, and everyone was happy and had a lovely time. All in all, a perfect night. And in times of pandemic, that's pretty special. Thanks to Maureen and the staff - we will be back to reminisce and to eat more eggplant!

Mark D.

Yelp
We have been to this location 5 or 6 times and we usually leave quite happy, but this last time there was a noticeable lack in quality. The focaccia that start you with is barely cooked and tastes like white bread. My chicken, broccoli, and ziti with tomato in a garlic/white wine sauce was bland with very little chicken. It tasted nothing like garlic and the sauce was basically watered down tomato soup. I have had this dish before and it was delicious, so something is off now. My partner ad the veal with risotto, and the veal had no breading left and the risotto had no flavor at all. Our drinks were decent and the meatballs and starter salads were good, but that was it. And I hate to bring it up because we are both so patient, but the service was not great. They were very friendly but it took ages for them to take our order after we had empty appetizer plates for about 15 minutes. It was very slow service, and it was not busy - we could see staff waiting around. Overall, it was about as good as Olive Garden, which is a shame. The Lynn location was much better last time we went.

David D.

Yelp
Now that is a steak!!!! I usually come for the great Italian food but heard the new steak items on menu were worth the trip. I had the ribeye and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The hostess, I think her name was Selva, was so nice and accommodating. We also had eggplant rolitini and calamari for appetizers that were excellent too. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

Ccocco C.

Yelp
We made an early reservation at 5pm weeks in advance by phone. They didn't have it, wouldn't honor it, and were incredibly rude and nasty about it. Never again!

Sean S.

Yelp
Great food, great drinks and great service. This place was by far the best place we had dinner. Wait staff very accommodating and the martinis are out of this world.

Juan B.

Yelp
Went here for a Sweet Fifteen and feel bad who for the host who paid for this horrible service, First the main table server seemed unbalanced and disoriented alcohol was definitely a factor. She stumbled around things sliding back and forth on the plates she was handling. Very friendly at first but that changed when people started to complain about the food. The chicken piccata was rejected from several people at my table and this place has no understanding of what well done means. After requesting it to be place back on grill and ask to be given a to go container so can take my hunger family to nearest McDonald's. Not to my surprise after leaving this place the steak I was given was rarer than the first and the other element's of the meal were not included Just a bloody piece of meat. This also occurred at the rest of the tables as children and adults pushed them aside showing no interest. I absolutely never would go there again and my recommendations would be don't bother.

Judy K.

Yelp
Pretend focaccia.. the texture of Wonder Bread..jeez. Chicken piccata arrived piping hot but flavorless; little garlic, less lemon. Mixed vegs were properly cooked. Linguine cooked correctly. I'll give them one more try because they are new in Salem, but c'mon... chicken piccata is like a mother sauce. Get it right!

Steve F.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner while visiting the area. This locale offers an intimate experience paired with a delicious meal. I will definitely be back

Yaro S.

Yelp
I reluctantly leave bad reviews but this place really deserves a kick in the rear so they realize how badly they need to improve. Summary: You're better off going home and warming up a TV dinner, which will taste infinitely better than the food here. If you're on the "John" and have the time, read below: Came around 7:30pm on a Saturday in a party of 4. The evening started with a 20-minute wait in the hallway by the restrooms with a peekaboo view of the kitchen. The latter, to be honest, didn't serve any food during our wait nor were any tasty aromas emanating from there, which should have been a good indication of things to come. We were sat at a table which was completely devoid of typical Italian welcome fare like bread, olive oil or balsamic vinegar. Apparently they ran out of bread that night. (At 7:50, really???) Curiously, no salt or pepper were on the table either. Nevertheless, we pursued to order within the next 5 minutes: filet mignon with lobster and crab sauce, chicken Marsala, and 2 other dishes. We waited for 45 minutes without a check up on us by any of the staff. All around us, people were either upset or leaving due to the wait times. Just as we were contemplating alternatives, the food arrived. The filet was way overcooked (asked for medium, got twice-well-done), the lobster/crab sauce was a dried clump plopped on top of the beef, with no humidity whatsoever; everything looked like it was warmed up in a microwave. The chicken Marsala was completely tasteless, and the sauce, watery. The other 2 dishes were also subpar but I'll spare you the details before I run out of space. Tried to fix the chicken by asking for other sauces and waited 15 minutes for them to bring an overly sweetened white cream they called Alfredo. Also asked for the steak to be fixed; they ended up stealing one from another customer's order and brought a "rare" piece which turned everyone off at the table. The waiter took our complaints about the kitchen's output too personally and got visibly angry at us for no reason... oh and he didn't even refill our waters at any point in time. Looking back, I regret even tipping him that much at this point. All in all, this place doesn't deserve to have any connection with Italian food. It's a real Kitchen Nightmare and Ramsay would have been furious... For the brave who read through all this: please go and enjoy some "Lean Cuisine".

Joseph D.

Yelp
most delicious chicken parmigiana!!and carbonara !!and everyone there is very nice A+

Andee B.

Yelp
Unless you want a plate full of grease and terrible service I don't recommend going here. I called in a reservation for 7 and placed one for 5pm, when we got there we were seated and the waitress didn't come around for 15-20 minutes. After we gave her our drink orders we didn't see her or our beverages for another 10 minutes. The amount of food you get for such a sub par restaurant is not worth the price, $26 for 6 pieces of lobster ravioli that was covered in pools of oil. The chicken and broccoli rigatoni and the penne vodka was exactly the same way. Management did absolutely nothing and told us that "this is the way that they cook it here and they have never gotten any complaints". So I do not recommend giving your money to this horrid establishment. I honestly wish I could give this place 0 stars.

deb s.

Yelp
The service by Maureen was outstanding. It's just a great place to eat delicious Italian food. Well prepared, seasoned perfectly and won't break the bank......yet!

Wayne W.

Yelp
I want to start this review off by saying I don't like giving bad reviews based on service or decor. I try and keep my reviews mainly to the food and not service or decor. The issue I have is the food didn't really redeem this place. I ordered the ricotta gnocchi which was pretty good by itself. Where the issues started was the fact that I had ordered it with chicken, there was no chicken in the dish, not a big deal, but the server never came back. The restaurant was not that crowded but no one came back so I ended up finishing my dish without the chicken which I ordered, when the server finally came out I told him about the chicken, no problem there. Except it took 15 minutes for them to bring out 3 little bare pieces of chicken breast, I had a little sauce to put on them as they were unseasoned and dry but I got through it. After that again I didn't see my server or any server and we had to actually go find someone to get the check and check out. Now that I've given you an overall view of my experience and why this place didn't get a glowing review I'll go over the decor. The walls were textured which was kind of like stucco feel painted over. The framed photos on the wall didn't seem to have any theme and many weren't really hung level again small things to complain about but unfortunately when you are waiting forever for food you start to recognize things that honestly wouldn't have bothered you. Overall not a great experience and since I am not from this area I will not be coming back to dine here. As always come here if you'd like and try and feel free to tell me if I am wrong or you had a better experience. This place and experience was just not up to expectations.

Yelp
Food was amazing and the service was great and it is really nice and fancy and beautiful. And if you are in the area I recommend this place 100%!

Renata V.

Yelp
Wonderfully creative ambiance. Tasty Italian food and wine served by attentive staff. Delightful.

Conor C.

Yelp
A disappointing and bizarre dining experience, to say the least, with lackluster service and food. The chicken was extremely gummy, as if it was previously frozen, so we decided not to eat it. The cherry on top -- there was a bone mixed in with the pasta. No one came to check on us after the food was delivered. The server FINALLY reappeared after about 30 min. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, they told us "This is just how we cook the chicken -- there is nothing wrong with it." Because of the bone, they offered a free dessert. About 15 min later a different server appears with the wrong dessert (bread pudding instead of chocolate lava cake). We looked at each other confused and tried to communicate that this was not our order. The server was not fluent in English, but my wife and I were able to deduce that they were out of the dessert we ordered, so they decided to pick another random dessert for us. We had to push to be able to pick another dessert. Seriously!? What a joke. They had the audacity to still charge full price for the chicken dinner.

Stephen C.

Yelp
September 2019 stopped in for dinner/eyes immediately started watering from varnish or something like it. Had been here years before-excellent so was shocked by the low class low life vibes. Dining room empty but Maitre D put us right next to only other diners in the room. Left due to smell but the varnish wasn't only thing that stunk: avoid this place and go to Popeyes etc instead-better service and ambiance. Better value for your money.

Pooja S.

Yelp
Aside from the food being absolutely amazing and one of the best Italian spots I have ever tried, the service was even more incredible. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Our server Jada truly made our experience out of this world and we left with big smiles and full stomachs! Highly recommend over the touristy spots

Matt G.

Yelp
Antique Table offered a good variety of Italian choices of an appetizer/ meal. Probably best that you make a reservation. We arrived at an empty restaurant around 4:30 & still had to wait for a table.. the food was very good with decent service. Waited on our check for about 30 minutes

Julia A.

Yelp
great costumer service, amazing food great flavor as well as drinks. lobster ravioli was super delicious as well as thier steak. great decorations and atmosphere recommend coming here!

Anna M.

Yelp
Never even got to try this place... we had a big reservation for about 10 people after my grandfathers funeral and we got there and waited for about 30 minutes in a small heavily trafficked hallway although we had a reservation and the staff was very rude and unhelpful. We had specifically reserved a smaller intimate room where we could share stories about our grandfather and had confirmed the reservation multiple times. We walked down to Bambolina (very good) as everyone was worn down and hungry from a draining day. I will never return here or forget how rude the staff was on a very sad day for my family

Yelp
We had a delicious dinner after our the Salem witch walking tour. I'm always hesitant to order gnocci, but I'm so glad I did. They were perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing. We also got the eggplant appetizer and it was delicious!! My husband got the clam chowder, which he loved - creamy and rich, and the Bolognese. It's rare for us, but we cleaned our plates! The wait staff was attentive and very pleasant. We would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Came here for dinner. Basic Italian fare. Sauces are way too thick and heavy. Some flavor, but piatto could be lightened with less cream, milk, oil and more herbs & wine. This place weighed us down and dampened our spirits. Okay presentation, if plain is what you want to pay for! Main concern: undercooked veggies, cheese not fresh, dark. Rebel review: 3

Yelp
The restaurant is elegant in the evening light, on-site parking is a treat, the menu is imaginative and the food delightful. We would eat here often if we lived 3,000 mile closer!
