ANTO Restaurant

10 + ~ Had a wonderful birthday celebration dinner here at Anto. The whole experience was very pleasant and the chef is extremely talented. Each dish was skillfully prepared and presented. The server was very sweet and she was very helpful in explaining the menu. Thinking of going back again while in Annecy! Highly recommend.

Lovely decor, welcoming hosts. The food was exemplary and very well explained. Our host recommended a wine based on our taste and she hit the nail on the head. I’d rush back, were I in Annecy again.

One of the best meals we had in our 3 week swing thru Eastern Europe, Florence and France. Definitely the best value. I had a braised leek that was terrific. Yes, just an ordinary leek cooked to perfection with a piece of lake fish that melted in your mouth. The plat was pork that was as tender as a filet but with more flavor. Again, perfection. Service was prompt, professional and attentive. My only regret is I didn’t make it for dinner. Re : the wine list. I didn’t really explore but I had a Macon that was just right for lunch at 10e.

Good food, especially the fish with a variety of carrot. However we had higher expectations given the price point. The service was a bit too formal, possibly because the staff wasn’t very comfortable speaking english. At times quite difficult to understand the presentation of the dishes.

We visit Annecy every summer and this is our "go to" restaurant. Located in the quaint central ville the atmosphere is of a small restaurant serving carefully prepared localfood. The seating is fairly limited so reservations are recommended. You won't be sorry

We had dinner at another similar restaurant with the same price point and felt like that was a lot better than Anto. Service was more personal, more choices and more explaination. Anto would be great if there wasn't any comparisons, but felt a bit lack luster having had a much better experience at L'Artisan for the same price.

Planned to visit Annecy and aware of the great options. The menu looks interesting hence my booking. Great service, willing to accommodate last minute additional seating - appreciated! The foods was good quality and well presented but the taste or combo weren't so exciting. Overall for lunch + a glass is well worth the price.

We went to ANTO expecting a nice French dinner, but were treated very badly. The set menu included only three main dishe: fish, duck, and eggplant, and since we only eat eggplant, we asked if we could order à la carte instead. The waitress first said yes, then came back saying the chef refused to serve us. We simply wanted to order the only starter (ham), the eggplant main, the cheese plate (paying extra), and dessert, and we were happy to pay full à la carte prices (€31 per dish). Still, they told us to leave. We stayed barely 10 minutes and they still charged us, including the cover. Terrible attitude, misleading website, and zero respect for customers. Not even Michelin-starred, just a Bib Gourmand place, but with no class at all.
