Get the chocolate chip and toffee cookies at Antoine's - Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Antoine’s Cookie Shop pulls off the rare feat of making cookies with crispy enough edges for crunchy lovers and soft centers to please chewy purists. The San Mateo-born shop opened up in the former Woodhouse space in Duboce, serving 11 flavors daily. Our non-negotiables are thechocolate chipand toffee. (Don’t worry, milk’s available to wash everything down.) Plan to take your box to go, as there are only two small tables inside. A free bench or two on Market and Dolores a block away, should do the trick." - Patrick Wong

It’s finally open! Great cookies like I like them, crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Price is just right at $2.75 a cookie. Owner was very nice and this is a great addition to the neighborhood!

It’s finally open! Just walked in and grabbed a Cookies & Cream cookie. It was delightfully and delicately crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The flavor was divine—well integrated oreo flavor and pieces throughout. Can’t believe I only got one cookie. Will have to try them all next time!

A new favorite in our house! Got an assortment of several flavors in the Baker’s Dozen Box, and almost all of them were absolute bangers. The dark chocolate chip, toffee, and cookies and cream were absolute 10/10’s. They also did a real solid job on the humble (but easy to mess up, which they did not) Snickerdoodle.

Yummy thin cookies with hard to resist flavors like toffee, peanut butter and honey comb

Slightly crunchy with soft insides. I loved the toffee one. There are a couple of tables to sit at which is nice. They have milk as well for you to order for dipping

Unlike most store bought cookies, these taste like amazing homemade cookies. So fresh, sweet and absolutely delish!

I’ve been waiting six months for this place to open. I ordered one of each cookie and can say that they are all very, very high quality.

Yelp
Drove by and noticed they were finally open! And a parking spot was there! Definitely tasty cookies. Toffee was my favorite but the Honeycomb was a very close 2d

Yelp
I usually always make a stop to the San Mateo location when I'm there. So I'm so happy that there's finally one in the city! Came in on grand opening day expecting a whole ordeal, but nothing. Just a couple signs on the window. The staff didn't really advertise anything. No special decor or anything. A bunch of cookie boxes prepped and to the side of the counter. I did notice they're starting to sell cookie dough. That's a nice option. Got two cookies - one cookies and cream and one toffee. Cookies were good. Congrats on the new location! Will return soon.

Yelp
I've been waiting for them to open for a few months now--so happy to be making this review finally! The person working there was so nice and happy to answer any question I had. They were also super patient with me as I chose which cookie flavors to try. There's 3 tables for indoor seating. Things that are also there but I didn't take a photo of: cookie dough in a fridge section, the menu ($2.75 per cookie and $32 for a baker's dozen) and their drink selection (milk and water). Here's what I got and my review of each flavor. Fresh cookies/Day of cookies: - chocolate chip: not overly sweet, chocolate is in chunks which was a nice surprise. not too hard on the outside, but soft inside. - toffee: super soft but holds its shape. the toffee doesn't get stuck to your teeth which is always a plus. - honeycomb: an advanced chocolate chip cookie. the honeycomb flavor is subtle but the crunch is noticeable. this chocolate chip cookie actually has chips instead of the chunks like the regular one has. Day old cookies (all of these flavors came in one bag--pictured): - peanut butter chocolate: super soft despite being a day old. not too overwhelmingly peanut butter. - white chocolate: not bad but not something special either. hard exterior and soft interior. - dark chocolate: chocolate chunks again. at first i couldnt tell if it was dark chocolate but then it hits you hard. definitely not a dark chocolate fan but if you are, this is perfect for you! - semi-sweet macadamia: not super sweet, similar to chocolate chip in that respect. macadamia doesn't add much other than crunch. - walnut: slightly salty which was a nice surprise. other than the crunch, not something hugely different. I didn't get all of the flavors but from the ones I got I think toffee is the best. Peanut butter and regular chocolate chip would be the other flavors I'd get again.

Yelp
The City has AHHHmazing bakeries, some with bomb cookies but not everyone has $5-$6+ to drop on one cookie on the regular. OFC, there's a $10 exception for the schlong cookie in the Castro. *wink wink* I'm a big fan of Antoine's Cookies and always bring back some cookies when in the PA area. The owner, Antoine started baking cookies in his home in 2013 and opened his 1st location in 2016 in San Mateo. And, now his Antoine's has a location in the city at former Woodhouse Fish (4th location). C O O K I E / F L A V O R S * Chocolate Chip * Toffee * Cookies 'N Cream * Snickerdoodle * Honeycomb * Peanut Buttercup * White Chocolate Macadamia * 66% Dark Chip * Oatmeal Chip * Walnut Chip * Semi-Sweet Macadamia $2.75 per a cookie. Baker's dozen available. Cookies are freshly baked about every 2 hours. Leftover cookies are sold the next day at a discount. And, there's a microwave for you to warm them up. While they're all good, I'm basic so my fav is the 66% Dark Chocolate Chip. The cookies are crispy and chewy around the edges while soft and moist in the center. Nicely buttery and not overly sweet. Plenty of melty Guittard organic dark chocolate wafers. Compared to Anthony's (my other fav), Antoine's cookies are a wee bit thicker and softer in the center. There's several tables to enjoy your cookies. Parking is a pain (you'll be circling) so take public transit or a rideshare. Overall, happy to see Antoine's Cookies expand to the city. They're delicious, great quality, and most importantly affordable!

Yelp
I happened to stop in on their soft opening day while walking in the area. It wasn't too busy and got helped right away. Everyone was friendly, it's clean inside, and felt organized. We tried the dark chocolate chip cookie and peanut buttercup. They were both good in texture and flavor. Size was a bit smaller than other shops but price was more reasonable.

Yelp
Clean and spacious cookie shop on a busy corner. They were nice with samples! I went during their first day soft opening so they didn't have day old cookies, but seems like a great deal. The staff is hard working.

Yelp
Glad I don't have to drive down the peninsula anymore for these cookies. Love the semi sweet macadamia, PBC, and 66% dark chocolate. But honestly, I would eat any of their cookies. Came on second day of soft opening and noticed the cookies slightly crispier and a tad smaller than their San Mateo location. Crispier is not a bad thing, everyone has their preference in cookies. It was still very good and tasty. Will come again. Antoine was there to help guide/train new employees. Nice corner location across the street from Safeway, street/meter parking.
