The Ultimate Guide to Mexican Antojitos in Los Angeles - Eater LA

"On the corner of Olympic Boulevard and Kohler Street, the quieter side of the Mercado Olympic’s busy ensemble of markets and street vendors, is a family from Puebla that cranks out quesadillas, gorditas, huaraches, and tlacoyos. Pure elongated masa diamonds are filled with either requesón or refried black beans, then customers can head to the condiment stand to add shredded lettuce, cream, and queso cotija, and choose from a variety of salsas, varying in level of spice." - Bill Esparza

El Pinga loca !

Google
I was hungry and only option was order through the app Postmates is how i found this place. I was scrolling through the menu. I decided to order chicken a taquito plate 2 chicken and 2 patatoe with bean and rice. Also a chorizo with 2handmade tortilla stack and it is a well served taco. 1 is more than enough. The rice was very good was not too salty just right. It was thing i really like also the chorizo taco was good the taquitos were also good. That red sauce is a warning. It is hot. Sure will give heart burn in a flash. If u enjoy hot. That red. I did not even dared to try the salsa habenero. If red had me sweatin imagine that one.

My favorite spot to get breakfast because they have the best ever breakfast sandwich. I normally don’t eat a breakfast sandwich but they have me craving one every morning! It’s simple but so good and under $7 🫶 They add jalapeños and pickled carrots, trust me it’s honestly what makes this sandwich the best ever. The next best item is their breakfast combo. It’s an amazing price and you get 3 large pancakes along with eggs, bacon and hash browns. The combo is available until 11AM. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy a meal by yourself or with your large family. Plenty of welcoming seating inside. They have incredible red and green salsas and specials of the day. I highly recommend their Mexican breakfasts. They also have salad options if you’re looking for something lighter. Items on the menu are bursting in flavor and everyone who works there is really wonderful.

Google
Lots of food on the plate. It all tasted fine, however it all lacked flavor. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The restaurant was extremely clean and my order was ready quickly.

Google
Best Mexican breakfast, the beans and rice are very good along with the coffee

Google
Cashiers and the atmosphere were decent. I asked for a Nutella Acai bowl like the one on the menu screen. They asked if I wanted PB, and I said yes but got none. What I actually got was a small bowl of purple icee with chunks of ice, with half a sliced banana, 1 cut up strawberry, no blueberries, no peanut butter, and a 3 finger pinch of granola. I was charged $12 for this and I felt violated.

Google
Great place to eat. Fast service, quick cooking time. Very good food, clean, tasty delicious food made very well. Only thing that does suck is finding parking- very hard. A friend of mine met me there, on my insistence. She absolutely loved it. It just keeps getting better. Great place. If I could give them 7+ stars it would be well deserved

Google
I've only been here twice, but it was delicious both times, and the staff are really friendly. Highly recommend, if you are looking for somewhere to eat, while walking Los Angeles St and/or the callejones.

Yelp
SUPER CUTE SPOT!! The staff was super friendly too which is always a major selling point for me! Plenty of seating for small groups! It's in the heart of Santee Alley area too! Very clean and everything is new inside! The food was LEGIT!! Very authentic! A little slice of Mexico! Street parking or lot parking in the area

Yelp
Friendly, clean, fast, reliable, dedicated to tasty quality service. Beware the salsa Verde will blind you and the race childhood memories. The veggie burrito processed chunks of fresh avocado.

Yelp
The food is good, the service is up and down, and usually they sometimes miss my order and I wait extra. Update : they didn't miss my order.

Yelp
Friendly staff and great service. Asada tacos were excellent. Asada burrito too. I normally like the stands and trucks. This is just as good if not better! Now a good spot to visit when I'm here downtown.

Yelp
I ordered an açaí bowl not knowing they add peanut butter in it. I asked them nicely if they can remake it due to peanut allergies and being diabetic. they said no that I would have to pay for another one again, I let the ladies know that I wasn't going to eat the one they had made, I hadn't even touched it. they were very rude they made me cry i'm 6 1/2 months pregnant and they were not nice to me at all. they wouldn't give us our refund, we spent around $60.00 give or take. they have no customer service and i do not recommend this place to anyone. the worst experience I've ever felt.

Yelp
This is a spot you must try honestly it's amazing I love it to the quesadillas to the hotdogs OMG. You will have food coma for days. The owner and his staff are very friendly. This is a casual please not a high-end restaurant or any of the store it's a simple shoes and a nice white tee and some jeans is also good

Yelp
This place has fresh and delicious food, the tortillas are home made, I do recommend this place

Yelp
I paid extra for avocado and they didn't put any. Overall the food was good, but not the best, I'd say the burrito was about 5.8/10. Meat had no flavor and texture was off. The Aguas Frescas was great! Wouldn't come back here though.

Yelp
Long story short, I liked the food overall and their price is very reasonable prices.. but I wouldn't order again after I chewed on and found a stapler pin on my chicken salad ..... I'm scared to eat rest of my salad and other chicken dishes that we ordered... I am going to throw them away just to be safe...

Yelp
Underrated hole in the wall type spot. Amazing fresh juices, and the ceviche is always fresh and on point. My favorite place to walk to in the neighborhood. Everything here is so fresh and flavorful

Yelp
Forget Grand Central Market and their $10 burritos! Awesome tacos, burritos, tortas, huaraches, chilaquiles, agua frescas, and friendly smiles at half the price of the Market. This is our new go to place for a quick lunch, and to catch up on "our stories" that are always playing on the tv.

Yelp
Their Pepino agua frescas are the best!! You can taste how freshly made they are and so refreshing on these hot days of Autumn. I don't know why the restaurant was closed, but their truck was in front and had lots of hungry patrons standing in line to order food or the frescas. I hope they will continue to have both restaurant & truck, I love their drinks and the food smells so good and too many people ordering, you know it's bomb.

Yelp

Yelp
Reasonable price for good food. The cilantro they use here is insane, so make sure to get the cucumber fresco and green sauce! Open on Sundays
