Great little place . I read reviews and were all good so I had to try it . Order a few different plates and all were over great taste . Bean super close to my mom’s 9/10 I’ve only gone to one restaurant in LA that beans taste 💯 like moss but this place is up there . Highly recommend. Agua de tamarindo 🔥 and for Mother’s Day they were giving flan at no cost 😎 waitress was also nice . Will come back to try other dishes . Also prices are good 👍🏼

Stumbled upon this small, easy-to-miss spot and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and presentation. Despite its modest appearance, the dishes were flavorful, well-portioned, and incredibly affordable. The waitress was very polite and attentive, which made the experience even better. The only downside was how loud it was inside—definitely not ideal if you’re looking for a quiet meal. That said, the overall atmosphere still felt warm and inviting. I’d definitely go back for the food and service alone.

There is a new Tesla charger a 2 minute walk from here so we plugged in the car and got breakfast. We had the Chiapaneco and the Garinachas and they were both great! The Chiapaneco is a breakfast dish with a really good thick tortilla/pupusa type bread. The Garinachas had amazing flavor. Everyone was very friendly and nice. Great spot!!

Amazing food, I authentically feel like my Tia is cooking! Love their food and that comes from a true Guatemalan! The churrasco is BOMB and te garnachas are top notch!

Flor provides a world class tasting experience right here in the hills of the San Fernando Valley. While it was my first time having Guatemalan food, I can say that it invoked a familiar feeling to my favorite Mexican dishes. Nonetheless, it just opened up my palate to elevated heights if loving and comfortable food.

This small Guatemalan restaurant is a gem in Sylmar. Service is great. As soon as you come in you are welcomed with a smile. They have items from several countries but the main food is Guatemalan. I've been here a few times for breakfast and dinner. My favorite dish is the Pollo en crema, Chicken on a creamy sauce. With rice, pasta salad, and home made tortillas. Definitely recommend it.

Tasty: I've had it numerous times from here but definitely enjoyed the burrito I had today with asada. The owner is always delightful and full of energy. Her smile is outstanding and full of life. Ps: buy her some sunflowers (trust me) 22nd of June 2025

What a disappointment, I used to love this place but this last time I went on oct 1st was very disappointing. Love to support my local businesses and especially one that brings memories back home but today the lady that helped me was very judgmental of my order and also the guacamole tostada she served me was as old as time itself I didn't complain because I support my people but if yore going to be judging my food options then I'll just go elsewhere! Great food though just let down service!!! I'll be extremely sad because I love my garnachas but now I'll Just go further away

I was very excited to find a dish that one student took last school year to the potluck. They are called garnachas I believe and I had to try them. One order has 10 of these tiny tostadas and they were very good. I was able to order ahead of time and it was my first time visiting this place. The location is very tiny that as I walked towards it I passed it. lol The service was very good and quick. I arrived and it was ready for pick up. I will be returning to enjoy this delicious treat.

The food is good, service is great. Quesadillas and churrasquito are my favorites! The place feels warm and welcoming. Definitely would recommend!

Hands down these are some of the best Garnachas we have tried (& we have tried plenty even downtown LA) The pollo en crema was so delicious as well as the carne guisada! The service was great. The ambience felt very true to Guate origin. Food tasted fresh & was cooked on the spot. We will definitely be coming back to try the other plates. Tasted just like a home cooked traditional meal! 100% recommend! La comida estuvo muy deliciosa con sabores tradicionales. Las mejores garnachas que hemos probado. Definitivamente se les recomiendo!

This is my go to spot when I'm craving a home cooked meal , these delicious camarones are the best ! There known for there authentic Guatemalan food and they don't lie ,there garnachas are also to die for and a great appetizer for any meal . Staff is also very accommodating and sweet . The ambiance feels like I'm back home in Guatemala . My picture was a video on instagram and it doesn't do it justice .

Amazing food ! Customer service , a little of a wait because food gets made on the spot, and I prefer that over eating reheated food. I will definitely be coming back ! Tortillas are homemade, just a very cozy restaurant

A Hidden Gem of Authentic Guatemalan Food! And so cheap! The food was an adventure of new flavors. They make special dough for their quesadilla which is somehow fluffier and more layered than a regular quesadilla, yet still crispy! And it's long and stuffed (see the picture). The Tamal was round unlike tamales I'm used to... and STUFFED full of tender meat and vegetables. Normally they have tomato sauce on them, but I asked for sauce on the side. I can't recommend this enough for a fun food adventure on a budget. This place is so authentic... we bumped into a Guatemalan here for his 4th visit! he was so nice and ordered so much food he shared his Garnachas with us, and they were also great! The menu prices are super reasonable, with great portions. My girl and I got stuffed sharing the quesadilla and tamal. I hope you come here and enjoy discovering this place as much as we did!

Waitress was really nice but food does take a while. It is well worth the wait as everything is super fresh and home made. I had the pollo asada and got a half chicken with smooth black beans, just the way I like them. The corn tortillas were homemade, thick and fluffy. The waitress suggested a special quesadilla for my friend which was on special for 9.99, it is massive and came in a giant homemade tortilla. We had a side of plantains which were the best I've ever had. Almost tasted like dessert. There's all kinds of funny Guatemalan quotes on their shirts and the walls. It's a hole in the wall but a true Hidden gem. Also plenty of parking in the strip mall.

Was greeted with a smile. Everything I ate was delicious. Very clean and happy atmosphere. Was offered recommendations and I was pleased.

Absolutely bomb! It was my first time here and the service was excellent, ambiance was cool and the food was sooooo much better than what I expected. . Thank you Flore for your time and the wonderful meal. I can't wait to come back and try some more of what's on the menu.

I'm not one to do reviews but this place is definitely a 10/10 extremely friendly and courteous staff, it's clean the music is such an amazing vibe, the food is delicious the quesadillas are my personal favorite but everything on the menu is 10/10, extremely affordable great price for the amount of food they serve !!! will definitely recommend and comeback !!

This place is wonderful ! It was so good guys ! Like so so so delicious. My parents are both Guatemalan and so going to check this place out was a must! It didn't disappoint! I really hope the community supports this business long term ! It's a gem. Waitress who was working today is horrible. Avoid this place at all costs. Not friendly and did not want to provide food requested. Best to not come here at all. The sopes weren't great either. Do not waste your money.

This place gets better and better every time I come back . The quesadilla was absolutely delicious. This is such an amazing hole in the wall place. The food never disappoints in flavor . Keep in mind the food is made fresh so it takes time.

Tried Guatemalan food for the first time. This is a narrow quaint and bright little restaurant located next to the Vallarta. It is decorated in bright traditional Guatemalan tapestries and souvenirs. The service was great. The staff addressed the customers as "ustedes." This was refreshing. The food was completely different from Mexican food for example. We tried their tamales which are firm and completely different from tamales Ive ever had. We also tried garnaches and quesadilla. Both were tasty. The grill ventilation was poor but nevertheless the food, service and ambience was nice.

Food was amazing. The wait was expected because of how small the place was but nonetheless it was worth it. The service was 10/10 she was so nice.

Reason why I am giving this a 4. Although every thing is great, to the service and the inside was very welcoming in a small space. My partner and I were looking for a place to eat and I chose Antojitos for the 5 star experience. We both had never tried Guatemalan cuisine so we're basing this of our first try. I got the caldo which I thought was really good. The flavor was excellent. And the portion was good too. My partner ordered a burrito. Obviously not as authentic as Mexican burritos. The meat was more of a ground meat. It has potential and the flavor was ok. It was definitely lacking something. He said it seemed to be more rice abs beans inside too. The tacos were ok. I think next time we go back it will be for the caldo during this cold season

By far one of the best Guatemalan food I've had in a long time. The Garnachas were tasty & the enchiladas reminded me of my moms. Food & ambience was if you were at someone's home. Will be back again.

Such an amazing experience. The service is excellent and food is very authentic. She recommended what looked like a quesadilla but was beyond my expectations. Great food. Loved the service given by the two ladies very attentive. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

I was looking for a place to eat and we found this nice place in a shopping center. The food is delicious tasty with original flavors from my country which I haven't tasted anywhere else. They provide a very good service and the place is clean small but good enough for a nice delicious meal. My mother loved it that means a lot given that she expects a lot. I definitely recommend Tacaná and will go back for sure.

Amazing!!!! Got them to cater for my son's party and everything ran smoothly. People and I loved the food. We got churrasquitos, quesadillas and rellenitos. Everything was super flavor full and authentic. Every one was getting seconds. The owner was super nice and her two helpers were great as well. She was very well organized and her toppings table was always stocked and clean. I never do yelp reviews this is probably the second review I have done on yelp. I am just very satisfied with the food and service. Also the service was at an affordable reasonable price.
