Orlando’s 16 Best Pizza Restaurants | Eater Miami

"Antonella Paradiso exudes a whole lot of passion and familial pride in her humble little Winter Park operation, and it’s easy to see why. Her husband, Francesco, is the pizzaiolo charged with feeding the hordes of Rollins College students who come to devour slices of New York-style pizza, many of which are gone in a New York minute. They also come for the hefty calzones and solid strombolis." - Faiyaz Kara

Was our 1st visit. Really nice family owned pizzeria. The owner was great! Was will to change the soup from original recipe to suit me. I really appreciate that but it was delicious as the original recipe. My husband had the Antonella Antipasto salad also delicious. Will be back to try a pizza next time, just wanted a light lunch today.

It looks like I would be good pizza if you like it raw…. My problem is that I ordered extra crispy, an option you offer on your website just pepperoni or ham…. When I spend close to $50 for 2 pizzas and I place an order as simple as it gets (cheese extra crispy) and you can get it right. Absolutely frustrating!

Cleanliness is questionable. The guy there doesn't use gloves when handling slices. All kinda tools available and he wants to touch your food after he was just scratching his face and using his personal phone. Didn't even bother washing his hands. The lady had on gloves but took a drink cup off the counter and added it back to the clean cups. Smh just gross Pizza today was basically the thinnest slice of pizza. I love cheese but when the crust is similar to a paper towel, it's not really pizza. It's a quesdilla. Won't return

This used to be one of my go to pizza spots, i especially love the Antonella's pie. However, i ordered it today and also got a slice of limoncello cake. When i got home and opened the cake, there is some green mold on it. Facing me as soon as i opened it. Very disappointed with this experience and questioning if their quality has gone down.

We came to Antonella’s as a family of 11 for Father’s Day. The pizza was excellent—authentic, flavorful, and fresh. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe and ambiance were really enjoyable, especially for a larger group. Unfortunately, the experience was impacted by a concern with cleanliness. We found a bug/fly on one of the stacked plates set out for customer use. While I appreciated that the staff quickly provided plastic plates and utensils upon request, it was disappointing to encounter an issue like that in an otherwise great-looking establishment. The food and staff were great, but cleanliness should never be questionable when dining out. With some attention to this area, Antonella’s could easily be a 5-star experience.

Nice quiet place I've been coming to for over a year now, went in today for a late lunch and my Hawaiian Stromboli and slice of cheese pizza were on point! The server/cook got my order and started preparing my meal as soon as I told him what I wanted. Service was fast, my server was friendly, and my food was amazing. My Stromboli was fluffy and my slice of pizza was crispy!

Well, I work in downtown Winter Park and really wanted a Calzone today. I already tried one from another Pizza place nearby, but it was not good. And definitely worth the price. So I gave these guys a chance. And you know what? Not bad at all! Actually, it was pretty good! Today, I tried the Antonella's Calzone and although the price might be a bit high, it is definitely worth it. The thing was massive, and I couldn't eat the entire thing. I just wish it had a bit more Italian sausage, which I will probably request as an extra add-on the next time I place an order. I love that they sell pizza by the slice. It is also a great option if you want to try different toppings, are on a budget, etc. All in all.... yes, I would recommend this place. And before I forget, the staff at the restaurant was super nice and accommodating. Next time, I will definitely dine in, so I can try their pizza fresh out of the oven. I'm pretty sure it's going to be really good. So there will definitely be updates to this post.

BE AWARE OF THIS RESTAURANT To the person who claimed he is the manager. Sure your restaurant lost a customer by Lying and telling them we will deliver your pizza in a bit and nothing was delivered and you closed your restaurant and no one picking up the phone… but the reviews and reputation will forever stay. I had to call my bank and report that transaction. and my bank refunded me the money.

Yelp
The service was on point the minute we walked though the door! We where a party of 10 and they accommodated us and made us feel welcomed! I am visiting from nyc my family that moved to winter park visiting from NYC and we know our pizza and italian food. So of course we are picky! The food was great and delish and fresh! The owner of this place is from NY as well! The place was friendly and comfy! Tasty flavors from nyc right here!!! Highly recommend this place!! oh and great prices!!

Yelp
Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch! Great find! Great variety of lunch specials through 4pm. I opted for the 1/2 hero (Italian cold cut, but you can choose from several heroes) and small Caesar salad. This special is #4 on the lunch menu; it's called "Twice As Nice". The salad was a generous portion for a side salad and tasted good. The hero was HUGE! Probably an 8" sub, packed with Italian meats and cheese. I had to eat it open face, with a knife and fork as it was too big to close to bite into. The pizza looked good! I think I'll try that next time. This place is small. Only 4 tables inside, and just a couple outside. If you want to dine in, visit during off hours or he prepared yo wait for a table - Butnthe wait will be well worth it! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I'm from NYC and my review may be a bit bias. I was disappointed to see their Margherita pizza look like a regular pizza with tomatoes on it (see my picture below). There was no basil, nor garlic, nor were there any mozz balls. Taste wise...when I bit into the tomato, it felt like I was literally biting into a tomato instead of the sauce or cheese taking over. Their crust is decent so no complaints there. The wings are fried then tossed in sauce. I prefer baked wings and less sauce but overall decent meat.

Yelp
We were in the area and looking for an affordable bite to eat. My boyfriend was in the mood for pizza, and Antonella's Pizzeria came up when I searched pizza. So why not, we love trying new places, and the reviews seemed pretty good. They had good lunch specials, so we both rolled with the 2 slices & salad special. They had many other lunch special choices as well. I'm sure we will be back to try out a pasta ones most likely in the future. The salad was bigger than expected but fresh and good. I upgraded my slices for tomatoe & spinach, it was hood i just felt they overdid it on the toppings. Overall, we enjoyed the food. There were not many seating spots but we chose to sit on their patio since it was so hot inside. They stay busy tho I will say, they had a lot of pickup orders and uber eats it looked like. I say if you're in the area, give it a shot, and we will be back.

Yelp
Favorite spot for a delicious Sicilian Pizza. Cold antipasto is a must. Great spot. Service is always pleasant.

Yelp
WOW! I ordered through Uber eats but before I ordered I always check out the reviews and man I now know why people highly recommended this place. The taste of it tastes fresh and so good. I was also surprised how it wasn't so greasy but just the right amount of grease. Definitely want to check it out in person next time.

Jeff J.

Yelp
I asked a question if the pasta was good and it was removed. I don't know if it was the owner or another user. I was told to leave a review instead. I tried it yesterday. The sauce to spaghetti ratio was high in the favor of meat sauce. I would say it was ok. The salad that came with it wasn't good. It wasn't fresh and crisp. I thought the prices were high, but it may just be the area. This location reminded me of a NY pizza by the slice type place. I guess that is why I thought the prices were high. It was the lack of atmosphere. I had their pizza a long time ago and it was good.

Yelp
This mom and pop restaurant is secluded in one of the many nice spots in Winter Park. Stopped in, was greeted by the waitress and looked over the menu. They have a great selection of pizza, calzones, wings and so much more. I ended up doing a create your own pizza (steak, extra cheese, sun dried tomatoes and spinach) and 10 wings extra crispy with a Snapple Apple. They don't have a liquor selection but have select wines and beers. Seating is limited. Let me just say the pizza and wings were made to perfection! I enjoyed it sooo much. Definitely reminds me of authentic Italian. This won't be my last time here.

Yelp
Great pizza! Got a 10 inch pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. Pizza crust was crispy, and the knots had extra garlic which I love. The location it self is small and cozy. There are about 4 tables inside and 2 outside. Food was quick to come out, even though they seemed to do a big take out business. They have out front pick up service and they take it out to your care. Menu offers pizzas, calzones, pastas, and the desserts look great. Fantastic service, staff was so great. Highly recommend you check this place out or order for takeout

Yelp
Yesterday I stopped by Antonella's Pizza for the first time with my friend! It was such a cute little place that had delicious food and large portions. We started off with their Pasta e Fagioli Soup! All of their soups are homemade and this was exactly what we needed on a rainy day. You HAVE to dip your garlic bread into the soup! Next we tried their Mambo Combo on their lunch menu which come with chicken parmigiana, manicotti, and meatballs. It was perfect since we wanted a taste of a bit of everything. For one of our entrees, we ordered the Penne alla Vodka, and this definitely has some spice. The flavor was amazing and I loved how the pasta was al dente. The spice builds so be prepared! I love spice, so this was perfect for me. Lastly, we had to try one of their pizzas! We got the 14" Margherita Pizza which was massive, garlicky, and cheesy. This Margherita was very different from the ones I'm used to, they put fresh tomatoes on the pie and it was great! I do wish there was a bit more sauce, but other than that, it was incredible. The crust has such an amazing texture and taste. I definitely recommend checking out this place to try some amazing pizza, pasta and other Italian dishes! I can't wait to try some more of their menu next time! It is a family owned business so the staff were so so friendly. Thank you to Emily for being so helpful and kind! - Homemade Pasta e Fagioli Soup - Garlic Bread - Mambo Combo - Penne alla Vodka - Margarita Pizza - Cannoli

Great shopping of Italian shopping while you wait. The pizza was very good. I haven't been hear in years but will be back soon.

Alexa A.

Yelp
The pizza is very good 10/10 the garlic knots are pretty good very garlicky The service was good VERY small place if you decide to eat there

Fred V.

Yelp
The pizza and antipasto salad were delicious! Enjoyed a side of meatballs as well. I would recommend this place when you're in the Orlando area!

Shane P.

Yelp
Never had a bad meal here. Service is quick and attentive and the menu offers a variety or lunch/dinner specials. Try the Pasta Fagioli soup, calzones, and meatballs. You won't be sorry! And love the owner, Antonella. She's friendly and genuinely cares about her customers.
google avatar

Bobs B.

Yelp
I've had several of the items from the menu and they're all very good. Service is great people are friendly. Restaurant is very clean. Pizza is thin crust with a nice crispy under carriage. Would recommend.
google avatar

Bill B.

Yelp
Yes they are very good. Being from Chicago I know pizza, from NY to LA & Antonella's is right up there
google avatar

Elissa D.

Yelp
We LOVE Antonella's! It's a perfect spot to go with kids. It's tiny so we try to go early to get a seat. Our servers are always soooo kind and accommodating. Food is delicious. We love the lowkey, nonjudgmental ambiance and I never feel stressed eating here with two little ones. The calzones are AMAZING and huge. Their red sauce is truly epic. 10/10 recommend for good Italian food and chill vibes.
google avatar

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
I went for dinner and got a seat inside just make sure to go early to beat the dinner rush because it's a small place inside. I got greeted by my server Emily and she was nice and friendly! For appetizers got garlic knots and antipasto salad both was delicious! Entrees got the Antonella pie large pizza and beef Stromboli both was tasty! It was a lot of food so got lots of left overs and Emily was nice to box up all our food and wasn't expecting that since I'm used to doing it by myself but was very appreciated! Food and service was excellent! Definitely recommend if you are craving Italian food in the winter park area!

Yelp
Dropped in on a Friday night. Sat comfortably outside. Nice glass of chianti while waiting for soup and my chicken parmesan entree. Both were delicious. They were super busy with takeout orders that night. Those people did a great job from where I was sitting. Speaking of great job so was our server. Very pleasant.
google avatar

Jessica F.

Yelp
Ordered delivery and was pleasantly surprised to see they had a few options by the slice. We got a 14"pepperoni pizza, Bianca slice, and garlic knots. All were delicious.
google avatar

Sam G.

Yelp
I ordered in on this rainy Friday night and my craving for NY Style Pizza and salad was fulfilled ! The crust was thin and crispy and the cheese and toppings were fresh and yummy. I ordered the 10 inch Specialty and a small Greek salad with creamy Italian dressing. I also ordered a lemonade. I'd like to visit in person next time. *I would've liked the pepperoni to be crispy but the pizza still tasted great!

Yelp
The staff here treated us like a family. A group of 10 walked in and they immediately catered to us, moving tables around so we had a place to eat. They brought us crayons and coloring books- like real, legitimate coloring books, not a piece of paper. They were amazing!! They really take care of their customers and constantly checked to make sure that everyone was okay. I ordered the small antipasto salad which had a good amount of olive oil dressing on it. Our friends ordered the 10 inch pizza which was like a personal size. We ordered the 14 inch medium pizza that was cut into 6 slices. It was perfect to split with 2 adults. This is a family business where the owners familia came from NEW YORK, so it's real authentic pizza!

Antonio A.

Yelp
The food is excellent. Service is great. The restaurant is simple in its style but always clean and organized.
google avatar

Ned C.

Yelp
Judy and I have been going to Antonella's since it opened on Fairbanks in Winter Park. We are now regulars at the University Boulevard location which is closer to our house. Both locations offer real-quality New York Italian food with many items to choose from. All are wonderful! The owners, Frank & Antonella, are the best as are their staff members. The service is A++ and that makes for a better food experience. Please give them a try and you will be hooked! Ned & Judy Chatelain

Yelp
This is the BEST Italian restaurant in the area. The other competitors don't even stand a chance. This place provides the best balance between price point and deliciousness. When I go there I feel yumminess radiating through my veins. The service is quick and fast and the food is so good that as customers we will last. All the other restaurants are in our past and now Antonellas is the best.

Becky R.

Yelp
I mean it's the best food on every level. This easily rivals NYC pizza, and literally everything I try here blows me away. I can't get enough. Plus I love Antonella, she's awesome.

Yelp
Someone insisted I give this place a try so in we went. Food: I ordered what they recommended - Sicilian (cut into pieces) to start and penne vodka for entree which was accompanied by bread and salad. To start the sicilian was nothing special while my Caesar salad was delicious. I wish I had ordered a huge bowl of this! When my penne vodka arrived it looked thick compared to what the dish normally tends to looks like but I decided to give it a try. After all, it's the taste we want, not the look! Well, I wish it had one of two but it had none. It did not taste anything like a true vodka sauce so needless to say I will not be ordering that again! My friends had chicken parm and Alfredo which were both alright. Restaurant: Small pizzeria with tight space in a tight plaza. Staff: Very nice staff!
google avatar

Camila S.

Yelp
This place was great! It had a New York feel to it because it was cozy and small (not a whole lot of seating) & if you eat indoors you can see the workers working right near your table. It felt very authentic and tasted that way too. The garlic knots were delicious. We also ordered a pizza with half Hawaiian and half bacon and pepperoni. The pizza took way longer than expected because there was a mess up with the toppings, but ultimately it was a good pizza. I believe there was one waiter working on like 5 tables so it was not the quickest service but it was still great. I recommend trying it out! We happen to be lucky with finding our table the second we walked in.

Ken M.

Yelp
Our expectations were sky high for this place given what our friends have mentioned but...............we were very disappointed. Our pizza was very, very dry, maybe stale? I have never tasted pizza like this before. We wanted to like this place because we live in WP but mercy............it was a bad experience. We both struggled through half and threw the other half out. I don't think we have ever done that. I can make even not up to par pizza work with enough IPA but not this one.

Yelp
First time... We will definitely eat from here again. Pizza was yummy, and my wings might have been the best I've had in years!! Cooked to perfection, nice and crispy too!! Thanks!
google avatar

Craig L.

Yelp
First time in. Yelp proactively told me they were open for pickup and delivery during COVID, so, after looking at the menu and reviews, I decided to give it a try. Ordered pizza, meatballs, garlic knots and cheesecake to pick up. I was able to pre-pay for my food, so that was a plus. They had curbside pickup - another big plus. And finally the pizza. Looks great. Tastes even better!! I asked for well done pie and it was cooked to perfection. Obviously, I can't assess the service. The curbside was quick and easy. Good experience. I will add them to my Italian rotation. Next day follow up. The meatballs, garlic knots and cheesecake were all top shelf as well. Great job all around!

Ant S.

Yelp
This place has the best calzone I've ever had in my life. It has genuinely ruined me for other calzones. The other dinners and the pizza are great too. I particularly like the chicken limoncello. Get it with the garlic roasted broccoli. The service is great. I only wish it were a little bigger inside, but I don't have a problem taking it to go.
google avatar

Edwin P.

Yelp
Best tasting pizza in Orlando. Although the place is very small, the service made up for it. They also come to your car for pick up.
google avatar

Joe T.

Yelp
Antonella's never disappoints. Fast, friendly service and delicious food at a fair price. They make a great pizza, antipasto salad and even chicken wings. Join their text message system and they'll routinely send you valuable coupons.

Robert D.

Yelp
Small place but amazing pizza and grinders. Service was great. I had the pepperoni and mushroom pizza. I was tasty, nice crust, quality ingredients.
google avatar

Andi P.

Yelp
5 Stars for great delivery pizza that satisfied. Gotta give Antonella's Pizzeria 5 stars because it hit all the marks. Really great crust, big slices, and tons of cheesy goodness. We ordered a plain cheese with pineapple and a Margarita. The Margarita had large, round, thin-sliced tomato slices on top, which was a nice tough (versus the little soggy cubes most places use). It was cheaper to call the restaurant and order directly through them instead of Uber Eats and the pizza came hot and timely. Not a long review because it was a simple order, but I would definitely order from them again!
google avatar

Orlando M.

Yelp
We tried this on a whim and it ended up being a hit. Love their pizzas and garlic knots. Will definitely return. Keep up the good work!
google avatar

Bob D.

Yelp
Tasteless pizza. Mostly cheese little sauce. No distinctive. More like a hungry drunk food satisfied. Only ate pizza on my way su to finding great orlando pie. Typical pizza like you find in very ordinary pizza joints where it's more American than italian
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Good, not great, pizza served by a friendly staff in a little place in a strip mall. As for the ambiance, it reminds me of places up in the northeast. This is a positive thing. Pizza should not be a pretentious thing, it should be something grabbed at a counter or served in the middle of family and/or friends and everyone should just grab a slice or three and feast. Sadly, I have to mention that they do have pizza by the slice. Up in the New York and New Jersey area, that is a given, down here in Florida not every place offers pizza by the slice. Something I have never understood.
google avatar

Joe T.

Yelp
Below average pizza, well below average service(I had to ask for a water refill 4 times) Simply put, average pizza, below average service, and not worth the drive, no matter how near or far you are, in my opinion.
google avatar

Marisa C.

Yelp
Given that I'm half Italian and my first job ever was at a local Italian restaurant in South Florida, I'm always on the hunt for new pizza places in the area. My guy was looking for new restaurants in Orlando and we stumbled on this place with all the great reviews. I have to say I was impressed with the pizza. We went with the non traditional Hawaiian and ordered the 12 inch which was a good size to share. I love me some good smothered garlic rolls, and Antonella's delivers! Carbs eating out don't count, right?! Lol We visited a second time a tried a different pizza, we couldn't decide between the margarita and Antonella's. Our server mentioned we could do half and half, so we did. I was a little hesitant with one being a sauce based while the other sauce is more tomato basil thinner type. I was a little disappointed with the margarita. It didn't really have the fresh mozzarella style I was hoping for, it was mostly just cheese with sliced tomatoes on top. We did really enjoy the Antonella's style pizza, topped with sausage, pepperoni, red peppers, mushrooms and onions. Loving this place for pizza and garlic knots! I'd highly recommend it, its now our go to place when I'm craving a good pizza.
google avatar

Katrina M.

Yelp
Best Italian food in Orlando! Great for simple pizza on a Friday night, but I've also used them several times for catering with their main dishes and everyone has always raved about their food... especially the tortellini! I'm from up north so finding a good Italian place in Orlando that I'd take my parents is rare but this place does it!
google avatar

Robert K.

Yelp
I was looking for a local non chain pizza restaurant close to me I did a Google search of pizza in 32789 it brought up a few places The pizza was spot on Fresh crispy crust and not greasy I am definitely going back and trying some of their other menu selections
google avatar

François B.

Yelp
This local Italian pizzeria is outstanding! It's a very small family owned restaurant but they make you feel like home. Also important note this restaurant is back open to dine in also. Staff: The staff were very caring and often check up on you and are on the top when your drink runs out! This family restaurant is one of the nicest I've been in so far. Food: The food is definitely it's out of this world! It's so tasteful and they give you a big portion for the amount you pay for so that's always great!

Michelle C.

Yelp
best pizza in the Orlando area! Worth the drive for me every time! the service is great, the food is fresh & atmosphere feels like you're in your Italian grandma's kitchen. 10/10
google avatar

Darwin G.

Yelp
This is THE NYC pizza slice for Orlando. For NYC, this would compete well. The crust is crispy thin with the proper amount of cheese and sauce. A great slice for NY, and "world class" for Orlando. A great deal is the lunch special with the "Mambo Combo." A great chicken parm, manicotti, and meatball. All are fantastic with their sauce and broiled with some cheese for texture. The best part is that it's not greasy at all. A dense and delicious meal, but avoids the greasy parts of eating at many pizzeria. The mozzarella sticks were unimpressive. Service was unreal amazing. Compliments to the service. She was amazing.
google avatar

Beau C.

Yelp
Amazing pizza not to floppy not to firm great flavor. Service was fast and nice and when server was taking the check asked me if I wanted my lemonade that I was drinking throughout the meal TOGO, amazing final touch to a perfect meal.

Chris P.

Yelp
Best New York style pizza in town. The garlic knots are delicious! We will come back again next time we are in Orlando.

Yelp
This is not my 1st experience with Antonella's but it's my first time carrying out and it wont be the last. I utilized their website to place my order and it went great! If you are not tech savvy you can still call in ahead as well. On our 1st visit we indulged in a pizza and the stromboli but this time around we just wanted the pizza. When we arrived we went over to the curbside carryout podium and waited for the server to come out since the dining room is currently closed. Everyone else waiting for orders kept a respectable distance from each other. We noticed the grocery grab and go which offered paper towels and toilet paper among other things. Within a few minutes the server came out, took my name and ran back in to grab my order. He returned with my pizza and then we gave my bestie's name and he went in and grabbed his as well. The pizza was hot and fresh! My favorite part is definitely the crust! I look forward to my next pizza already! Stay safe and shop local!

Yelp
Having just moved to Orlando, we have spent a good portion of the last six weeks trying to find our pizza place. We have had some real duds, and some okay slices, until tonight. Sauces vary from place to place but the key to a great pizza comes from two ingredients; dough and cheese. Have you ever heard of Bacio cheese? Neither had we but clearly when this exquisite type of cheese is paired with an exceptional dough , it becomes artistry. You heard, read it correctly, artistry!!!! Even more amazing is that this review comes with an added twist, we took the pizza home! We also had garlic knots that would keep away vampires. Do not get them on a date night without a bottle of listerine and altoids at the ready! Antonella's, IS the real deal!
