Great sandwich place for a quick bite or sit down lunch. Best breadsticks I’ve ever tried .They have a nice Italian food menu. I recommend the ravioli or any of hot grinder subs. Different types of pasta .Cool, unique, mafia, Italian vibe to the place. 10 AM on a Saturday I was greeted by the owner with a friendly smile and fantastic service. Definitely recommend.

Many people have told me this is a great place to eat. I ordered the Brooklyn which is described as turkey and provolone. The bread and turkey were fantastic. But half a slice of cheese on a sandwich is not okay when the sandwich is $13. I ordered takeout so I didn’t notice until I got home.

It has been a couple of years since I’ve been to Antone’s. My friend said they were under new ownership so we went for lunch. I ordered the Salami Sandwich called My Cousin Vinny and it was excellent! The bread was delicious. I also noticed they have more menu options which is nice. They have a good amount of seating and plenty of parking in the back. One of the owners checked on us a few times to check if we needed anything. He was very kind. Looking forward to going back and trying their pizza and pasta.

Very quaint restaurant, looks like you're walking into a very welcoming house, (even though some cosmetic construction was being done at the time of our visit). All the staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and all seemed to have very bright personalities. Menu is simple to understand, yet diverse enough for multiple categories of delicious options. We ordered two "The Mafia" sandwiches (Salami, Ham, Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato, Oil) and added Capicola to both. We also ordered 2 sides of Pasta Salad. For only $2.00 we received large portions of these pasta salads. We were overall pleased with the portions of everything we received. The sandwiches tasted amazing, and if you like yours a little more like Jersey Mike's, I suggest ordering a side of their Italian dressing to Drizzle on, and it tastes great. Will definitely be returning soon.

First time having Antone’s and I had no idea this place is the new Italian staple in riverside. Being from New York I am happy to have found a place that embodies the east coast vibes. The sauce is al dente’, their meatballs are amazing, and did I mention they serve peroni’s! Loved everything about this place - we hosted a rehearsal dinner for a dear friend and had the pleasure to meet the owner and his team. What a stand up guy who has created a beautiful restaurant! Great staff, great food, great laughs and an overall great experience. We will definitely be back!

I want to sincerely thank you all for providing your restaurant for us to have my Mom's Celebration of Life. She loved Antone's! We had the best party in her honor, and it was largely thanks to Charley and her caring staff. Delicious food and excellent service. It was the best ever. Seriously put FUN back into FUNeral. It was a happy and enjoyable experience and took all the stress away from the family. Bless you all! I will never forget this experience. Love coming here!!! Not only is it a locally owned business, but the food is amazing. My go to is the mafia with garlic butter on the bread. Service is on point, quick, attentive to details, no matter how big of a curve ball you throw them. Ambiance is getting better, after the new owner took over, he's throwing a lot of energy into improving the condition of the building. So far, doing a great job in doing so. But definitely recommend the food here!!!

I wanted to share my experience This was my first time stopping to get a sandwich from here. I got the meatball sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. One of the best meatball sandwiches I've ever had. The staff was amazing and very hospitable. I absolutely will be coming back here.

This place was average. The pizzas I ordered for carryout were disappointing, with bland flavors and a poor bread-to-topping ratio. I prefer a flatter, more flavorful crust.

What a cute place! Ambiance is perfect for a chill lunch or dinner! The staff is super friendly and love the family owned small business atmosphere. I ordered a half order of spaghetti with a meatball and let me just say... I now don't have to make dinner! So yummy, served fresh, and the meatball was delicious . My friend ordered a sandwich (I forget which one) and it looked delicious and she said it did NOT disappoint. I didn't even get to take pictures because I chowed down! Head on over to this quaint yummy restaurant!

Delicious, locally owned Italian sandwich/grinder shop. So glad we stopped here while passing through Riverside- we sampled the Mafia and The Brooklyn grinders, both were very tasty. Fresh made bread, simple ingredients that aren't overly salted or slathered, just all around quality sandwiches. Service was very friendly as well. What a great find (thank you Yelp!) and a recommended stop if you're in the area.

Love the sandwiches here! Staff is always super friendly. Fresh brewed ice tea, which is a must for lunch for me. Mafia Monday, BOGO 1/2 off, is a great deal. They have other deals everyday too ! Stay local, and small business! Avoid those mega chains.

My sandwich was fantastic! I hadn't been here in many years and I remembered the soft and tasty fresh baked bread. It was even better than I remembered, with delicious ham and cheese. Great service, nice interior, easy parking right behind the building. I'll be back!

I was just at Antone's and the experience was not pleasant, the new owners and a worker just kept complaining about the previous ownership, and sharing some very personal information in front of customers. BE BETTER, DO BETTER!

Love the Mafia, we ask for extra oil. We also order the garlic bread separately. So buttery. We go at off times to avoid the crowds. This place is one of our regulars.

It pains me to say this, but my 2 star rating probably should have been a 1. I first ate at Antone's in 1972 with friends from work. At that time it was a very family-run fresh grinder shop located exactly where it is today. You'd buy essentially a $3 grinder and when you gave Antone a $5 bill he would make change (is that ever done these days?) counting it out like you were getting it back from a $500,000 bill. It was a tradition that he kept over the many years I had been there. And it made you feel even better about all you got for your money. His daughters would serve you and all of us guys (and occasionally a lady co-worker) and we would admire them and their big ... smiles. Other than this visit last week, the last time I had been there was in about 2021 with another old friend . His daughters had become the owners. And their smiles were as welcoming as ever. The big thing about their grinders then was the bread and its freshness. It was baked fresh daily and had a crunchy crust on an easy chewing bread. I understand it still is baked daily but the bread is nowhere near the same. The grinders are essentially similar but also not the same. And the price we paid for 2 Mafia-X subs and a bottle of white wine was essentially what we pay for a lunch at Newport Landing. But really no service, or view, or amenities. If you go to Antone's DO NOT put the tip on your credit card when you order. Leave a cash tip on the table (only if you wish) so you'll be able to not overly tip. I ordered at the desk and the food was delivered to my table. I put the tip on it when I ordered. A big mistake. Because what we got for the food and "service", I over-tipped by at least 20%. And my food at Carls Jr is delivered to my table too ... and I see no reason for tipping for it. To their credit I don't think that the original Antone's offered bottles of wine. I don't even recall if they served beer, but I didn't drink either way back then. I absolutely LOVED revisiting this eatery that holds such fond memories. But next time I'll go to any one of the myriad of new sub shops for a better sub and FAR better price/performance. Antone's is now just a fond memory. Antone, dear friend, rest in peace. I'm certain many of your old patrons miss your version of sub sandwiches and service almost as much as they miss you.

Finally maintenance update. More meat in the sandwiches. Same absolutely fantastic bread. All the old favorites plus a few new ones like the Soprano. Friendly, prompt service. Truly an "under new management " success!

It had been quite a while since we had been to Antone's. The outside of the restaurant is getting a facelift so we thought they were closed, but glad we parked and walked up. The inside of the restaurant looks so much brighter and cleaner than it did before. It is certainly a nice change and makes customers feel welcomed. Employees are friendly and our order came out quickly. I had the Uncle Tony and it was delicious adding the sliced peppers. The sandwiches are one size and I was full after eating half so brought the rest home. Thank you for a nice lunch Antone's!

I would give them a much higher rating if they would upgrade their meat to a superior brand that has less sodium...otherwise this long established family location is much better than it used to be. I like the upgraded menu and i like the service people. the home made bread is the same and there is beer and wine offerings now.

We had our monthly women's lunch at Antone's and were extremely pleased! It's super cute and cozy inside (a converted house)! We had a very large group (approximately 25-30) and they were able to accommodate us and provided great service! The food was delicious! I had the hot pastrami along with the antipasto salad! I shared with someone because it was big enough for 2! Thanks Antone's for the good food and service! We will be back!

So delicious. I've been here twice now and Everything was excellent and yummy. Service was amazing also. Replaced our pizza due to a small issue and it was no hassle at all. My new fav lunch spot. Try the Capone sandwich and sausage and Mushroom pizza. Bomb you won't regret it.

Ordered the Mafia to share and the garlic cheese bread with marinara. The meat to bread ratio was adequate but could have used a bit more oil. The bread is ciabatti-like, dense and rustic (not my preference for a grinder/Italian sub). Perhaps this bread is better with the hot ingredients. If you expect a soft, chewy texture this is not it. The garlic cheese bread has a lot of cheese (yum), however we didn't really taste the garlic, the marinara could have been warmer. Service was friendly, we had to ask for a plate, ambiance is basic tables and chairs as this is a 1930s house converted to a sandwich shop.

Just went there today 4-8-25 for the first time. I got the Meatball Sandwich on the Garlic Toast (it's smashed Meatballs with cheese) . It was awesome. 10 thumbs up... Service was also awesome. Loved the old house that's it's in. You felt like you were in Grandma's house :) I am definitely going back and I look forward to trying the other items on their menu. I Highly recommended you give it a try.

I was recommended to this place and thought I would give it a try. Food was okay, nothing to go out of your way for. I tried two different sandwiches "Meatball & Pastrami ". Meatball sandwiche was more like meat sauce than meatballs. It tasted okay. Everyone has there own sauce to make things. Pastrami sandwich was tuff meat and fat cartridge, asked for hot and got warm almost cold meat to eat. That might be why it was tuff to eat. First time in since new owner took over. Literally the best meatball sub ever! I will be having one everyday till I am sick of it and will move on to something else on the menu.

I wanted to try a local Italian restaurant, so I decided to go to Antone's. It is small and quaint. The restaurant was clean and I was greeted immediately. I ordered the cheese ravioli with meat sauce. I got my order within 15 minutes, as promised. I was disappointed by the presentation and taste. The sauce has very little noticeable meat. It tasted like plain tomato sauce. I had to add Parmesan cheese and salt to give it some flavor. If there had been basil on the table, I would've added that as well. The garlic cheese bread came with the meal, but it was saturated in butter. If I go back, I will try the pizza.

Antone's is so so good! The person at the counter was very nice and helpful. I got a meatball sandwich and it tasted great. I've only ever been to Antone's twice over the years but I definitely regret not choosing to go here more. I think the inside recently got redone and it looks great. Great food and I totally recommend it :)

The employee who helped us was great. Very friendly, quick but not rushing. I thought that The Stacy (sausage patty, bell pepper, onion, provolone on toasted bread) was a bit small for the price. I had this sandwich years ago, pre-inflation and it was mouth-watering!! This one was fine, not bad at all, but not delish.

This was my first time there. It was really cute and welcoming. I felt very comfortable going in my work clothes. I got spaghetti, meat balls and my wife got The Mafia sandwich. Both really good taste and portions.

Was in Riverside for a family event and found this spot, will absolutely be back next time I'm in town. Food and service were excellent! The Mafia is basically a perfect sandwich.

Went to this place on accident. I was originally craving a Banh Mi and wanted to try the Pho place next door but they were closed so my husband and I decided to give this restaurant a try. Was not disappointed. The service was great and the owner was so kind and even offered us a sample of a new dish that was not on the menu yet. It was bomb and overall a great experience. I would recommend giving this place a try, we'll be back.

I was looking forward to this meal, because I know Antoine's has been around for a long time. I ordered the Earl (meatball sandwich). I had three bites and was done. The bread was borderline burned and should really be called a ground beef sandwich not a meatball sandwich, because it did not have meatballs. Ultimately, I couldn't eat it because the flavor was lacking. Our server was friendly and polite.

We had a hard time finding it ! We had a meatball sandwich on garlic bread! It was pretty good but they served it wrapped in paper and just laid on table! No plates. Inside could use a makeover. It just looks old. I don't think I'd drive that far again when firehouse subs is just as good!!

Oh my gosh! I've been coming to Antone's since high school 50 years! I was so happy to see they were still in Riverside when my husband and I relocated back here! Yesterday for Super Bowl we ordered Antone's famous Italian subs. The bread is so amazing and the quality of the meat and cheese is incredible! If you want to impress someone who loves Italian food take them to Antone's you won't be disappointed!!

Been a fan of Antone's since I was a child. New owners got the spot and you worry that the food will taste different. It hasn't changed at all! Fresh bread just like it was made when I was a kid. If you live here come visit again, if your visiting it's worth trying. Glad I came back to Riverside for their reopening day.

terrible for vegetarians. got a vegetarian sandwich and it was EVEN MORE THAN THE MEAT SANDWICHES and did not compare to those sandwiches at all. idk if it was the person who made my sandwich that day but not worth it for the price. 3 stars cuz my family really loves it. the meat sandwiches looked great and were so packed with meat.

Moved out of state a couple years ago haven't been since they changed owner until the other day. The mafia and meatball are excellent, maybe even a little better. Their phone number has changed. I used to have them on speed dial.

We have become regulars for sandwiches. My spouse enjoys the meatball sandwich and I love the turkey and cheese. They are made with homemade bread that is wonderful. The service is nice and not rushed.

Always clean, nice guests dining in, and I can't say enough about the food (have tried everything but the veggie sandwich) and it has never disappointed! My frequent is "the mafia" adding capicola, pepperoni, and jalapeños! That way is delicious then we kick it up a bit when I get it on their ever so fresh garlic bread! The new owners are pretty darn amazing too!
