Located in south Austin near St. Elmo's brewery, Ants Beer Cave is a great place to bring your friends to hang. They have 2 pickleball courts, one inside and one outside, basketball game, and pool table. They also have multiple TVs to watch sports game with large projector screen projecting most popular game. My husband and I came to watch Sweet Sixteen. It does cost money to use pickleball courts, though on Thursday nights it is free. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and great for large groups as their tables easily 10-12 people. Dog friendly as well with dogs on the patio. Food wise they have two food trucks, Knuckle sandwich and the Pizza Den. Know that both trucks close by 8 pm even on Saturday so don't trust Yelp saying it closes at 9 pm. Beer wise at least for us it was a limited menu, but my husband enjoyed his hazy IPA. This is a great place to come hang with your friend in large group! Parking is free in front.

Stumbled upon this spot. Very nice selection of beers on tap. Pickleball courts, big screen TVs, food trucks and plenty of seating in and out. Most importantly, they are dog friendly.

I hesitate to bring attention to this gem of a place for selfish reasons because it checks all the boxes. After reading Anthony’s story, I knew ABC would be a fit! I was in a pinch, holding a small-sized pickleball fundraiser, and ANTS BEER CAVE came through in a big way! Staff, service, space, amenities. The Manager, Jordan, was accommodating & professional - she truly met all of our needs! Top-notch build out and concept, way to go ANT! #tonyfoundation

Great all around bar! Good variety of local beers and then tons of options in the can/bottle fridge. Pickleball courts are fun to use too for both professionals and casual play. I’ve also had a lot of fun watching sporting events here too. Owner is a big sports guy and knows how to deliver a good sports viewing experience.

Outstanding choice of local draft beer and a wonderful setup with games, creating a chill and relaxing atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot to spend time with friends, family, or for team-building. I highly recommend visiting, and I will definitely be back again!

Knuckle Sandwiches, lamb is the best so far. Indoor and outdoor pickleball courts.

Google
Great spot for beers and pickle ball. The pizza and sandwiches at the food trucks is also unreal. Will definitely be back here again. Have also had a great time at the free pickleball on Thursday nights. Edit: Just saw Joe Rogan hanging here so cool

I organized a social for a professional organization to learn to play pickleball. We booked 2 hours of pickleball court (indoors) for about $90. It was a lot cooler than playing outdoors! The beer and wine collection is nice and the pizza joint outside is delicious. It's thin crust and piping hot and the sauce has depth and flavors and is not just salty. There's a decent amount of picnic tables indoors and outdoors and high tops for big and small groups. Staff were so friendly. I really liked playing pickleball here! There was a league right at 7PM, sometimes the time slots on weekdays are tough to get. Oh, Thursdays there is free pickleball!

Yelp
Such a cute neighborhood spot! Great selection of beer, ciders, THC drinks etc! There's wine and beer on tap as well! The service was great! The cashier offered us recommendations and comments on the drink we purchased. There's a gravel outdoor patio with picnic tables outside and a couple pickleball courts plus a court inside as well. We went for trivia on Monday and it was so fun! There were 5 or so team and it only lasted a little over an hour. The pizza den was the highlight! The pepperoni pizza is currently my favorite in Austin!! Plenty of cheese and pepperoni and not too much sauce. The ranch was yummy too!

Yelp
Wowza. What a great sandwich! The bread is so, so flavorful and toasty, the fillings are high quality, and the vibe is great here. We ate a lamb Sammie and a knuckle Sammie. Both really good. If I was forced to choose, I'd probably get the knuckle again. But it's close. Come check out knuckleheads. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I love this place!!! It is a great addition to The Yard. This place has some great beer on tap and a fridge with tons more options. They also have wine and cider. The service is great. The temperature is perfect! The music volume is just right, you can have a conversation with people at your table. They are dog friendly , indoors like Vacancy . They have HH prices for teachers all the time. They also have a pickleball court, if that is your thing.

Yelp
This place is fun! Really laid back with two pickleball courts. Plenty of TV's, lots of dogs, friendly bartenders. We stopped in here just walking by after being at St Elmo. It's really clean and I love the concept. We also got a sandwich from Knuckle Sandwich and it was pretty good. The chick pea tots were awesome!!

Yelp
What a fun spot! Pickleball courts, great patio and TVs inside to watch the games all with a great beer selection! We tried both the knuckle sandwich and the pizza and both were excellent. We loved the elote pizza and the spicy pizza. The original knuckle sandwich is such a great take on an Italian. We loved the parmesan crisp and the soft bread! We will be back! Highly recommend checking it out!

Yelp
One of our regular spots for beer and football. Not only are there 200+ options for beers, but you are guaranteed to have a great interaction with the staff (hey, James!), meet fun people, maybe try a new beer or snack at one of the on site or nearby food trucks (Knuckle Sandwich and Pizza Den are in the courtyard), or play a game (pickleball, big add beer pong, video games, etc). It is super chill and always fun. And teachers get HH prices all day everyday!

Yelp
Add Ant's Beer Cave to your list of St. Elmo's Booze Tour! However, unlike the other bars, this one opens until 12 AM on the weekends. Ant's Beer Cave offers a wide selection of beers on tap, as well as bottled beers and wines. It's a perfect place to try your next favorite canned drink available at grocery stores or for those wary to new drinks and seeking comfort in the familiar. Note: Cocktails and liquor are not available (yet). For pickleball enthusiasts, there are a total of 2 pickleball courts: one located outside and one indoors that can be booked in 30-minute increments. The staff here is friendly and eager to help you discover your next favorite drink. Since Ant's is new, you may even find yourself being served by the owner, Anthony, himself. On weekdays until 6 PM, Ant's offers drafts for $6 and & $1 off bottles and wine by the glass.

Yelp
YA'LL!! check it out - Ant's has over 200 selections of beverages. Excellent wine as well. Food trucks are next level. The mushroom Ruben from knuckle sandwich is mine blowing. Best dish in Austin right now IMHO. Pickle ball and friendly staff to boot. Suggest ride share to the Yard. Fun weekend walkabout

Yelp
Ants beer cave is a super cool spot to play some indoor pickleball and have some drinks with friends at the yard on st Elmo street. The owners are super nice and they have a pizza and sandwich food truck out in their patio that are both great. Both being brand new, The pizza den is good pizza with extremely friendly service, and Knuckle sandwich is the same but with sandwiches. I went to knuckle sandwich for lunch one day and they rushed my order to me because I was in a rush which I greatly appreciate. The sandwich itself was awesome and up there for best subs in Austin but you definitely pay for it as it's almost $20 after tax and tip for a 9" sandwich. Will definitely be coming to Ants often

Yelp
Really chill spot for pickleball, a game of pool, a beer or wine and sandwich/pizza. Knuckle Sandwich was really good- Barton springs mill bread and quality fillings. Staff was super nice.

Yelp
Great staff, industrial but fun atmosphere. Didn't try the food trucks but the beer was great!

Yelp
Best place on the strip at the yard! Vibes are great, open later than anywhere else. The bartenders at this spot are the best out there!!! James and Julie are especially awesome. I will continue to recommend this over all other spots. The best of the best. Also - check out their awesome food trucks! Overall, you can't beat it

Yelp
The selection of drinks were amazing! The food trucks outside are some of the best I've had in Austin. The staff members are amazing, super friendly, and helpful. The vibes are 10/10 for Ant's!!
