Several LA Cities Consider Abandoning County Health Department Over Dining Ban | Eater LA

"The restaurant’s co-owner Caroline Styne publicly urged the mayor to support restaurants and to state that she does not believe COVID-19 transmission is coming from dining establishments, pushing back against countywide outdoor dining restrictions." - Matthew Kang

We purchased our first 5th wheel through AOK and it was a stress-free and pressure-free experience. Colin was helpful, extremely responsive, and dedicated. It took us two years to find the perfect camper and Colin was there for every inquiry we had. We traded our travel trailer and felt that we received a fair trade-in. We would happily purchase from them again!

Shoddy work, made me pay for recall and warranty work and won't reimburse. August 2024 I took my Micro Minnie in for a Winnebago recall on the stove, as well as a leaking gray tank gate. I had called over a month in advance, as I was spending the entire month of September in Utah, and knew I needed these things addressed. Despite the advanced notice, my camper was not ready until just 2 days before I was to leave. They told me I had to pay up front for the work, and that they would reimburse me after Winnebago paid them for the work; since I was on a deadline I didn't argue and I paid. I was annoyed that they had just placed my hitch lock inside the camper rather than locking it, and then I had to wait over 10 minutes for them to track down my wheel chocks since they were not w/ my camper. Once home and packing to leave, I checked the work. While the gray gate no longer leaked, the drain pipe from the tank to the waste outlet now had a drip where they had cut into it and placed a coupling! I also found a few cuts into the underbelly which were not taped, besides a messy job with spray foam. I used seam sealer tape to seal everything up, and trimmed some of the excess foam just so it didn't make my new camper look bad (it sits up high, so you can see underneath pretty easily). I didn't have time to deal with the drip, and was fortunate that none of the RV parks where I stayed seemed to notice the wet spot after showers/sink use when hooked to sewer (but I know some places can be strict about this). WORST OF ALL is that I paid for the work and the recall, and now at 10 months and at least 20 phone calls later, I still have NOT been reimbursed. First, after returning from Utah and a few weeks back to work, I called to follow up and learned AOK had not even filed w/ Winnebago yet. I suppose it wasn't a priority since they had their money from me. They said they were filling and it would take a few months. At the end of December I called again, hoping to get closure before year end; they asked me to take a photo of the serial number on my camper stove, because they said the one taken by their tech was too blurry for Winnebago to accept. I had to find a Youtube video on how to take the top of my stove off so I could get the picture they needed (and then realized I probably could have addressed the recall issue myself and avoided this nightmare!). They said they were going to submit the photo and it would be several more weeks. Early February I tried calling them, but after leaving a few messages and getting NO return call, I reached out to Winnebago. Winnebago seemed astonished that this had gone on so long, and that they had made me pay up front. They said they would call AOK and let me know. Winnebago called me back and said I would be hearing from AOK and that I would be reimbursed. I did get a call from AOK then, and they told me it would just take a few more weeks because Winnebago was sending them a check, and once they had it they would cut me a check. I called again in March, and was told only part of the payment had arrived, it would take a few more weeks. I called early May and they are not returning my call or email now. It has been TEN MONTHS since the (shoddy) work was done and paid for, and I still have not been reimbursed. I will be calling Winnebago again, filing w/ the BBB, and perhaps talking with a lawyer. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE CENTER, and IF YOU DO, check the work and DO NOT PAY UNTIL you know it's done right and until you know they've filed with the manufacturer at least. In photos you can see the underbelly cuts before (yellow cicrles) and after (green arrows) I repaired them. And you can see the excessive foam and DRIP in the video.

The buying experience was smooth and easy, everything that has occurred after that has been a nightmare. We brought a brand new camper off the lot last summer. BRAND NEW and the first trip we got to take in it we had SEVERAL SERIOUS issues there was 27 issues. We brought the camper to them after owning it for two weeks to have the things repaired. They had the camper for almost two months and everything was still not fixed properly. We decided to just deal with the rest ourselves. They swore up and down they would find a way to make it right and the owner would call us to try and figure out how to do that wether trading the camper in for a different new one or just having them buy it back. The experience was so horrible that is where we were at. We were never given a call from anyone after that. Now less than a year later and a new camping season upon us our fridge quit working. They said it was the board and put their tester board in our camper for an already booked weekend trip. It did not fix the issue. It’s been close to a month and we have a seven day trip coming up they are aware of and are still waiting for the board to arrive to put into our fridge and their response was they would put it in and see what happens….How is that acceptable? We leave in two days for our trip and will most likely have no working fridge and the issue still needing to be dealt with a month later. They said they would call GE to find out where the part was and never called back or even a courtesy call to say they are still waiting on them. So I had my husband call. After I was told that a couple week prior they were calling for the tracking numbers and never getting a response from that they told my husband GE ran our of parts and they have not even been shipped yet…This is after being told I would be called back this morning after asking for an update and they never called back then either. They don’t seem eager to fix issues or call back their customers on either instance. Dealing with management and the service department has been very sub par and my advice is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE and save yourselves TONS of TROUBLE. Complete lack of communication, care, organization, and professionalism.

We are first time travel trailer owners. Colin was awesome help. Very personable and not pushy. He was very knowledgeable. We are going to try ths new thing in life and if we like it we go back for a newer camper and see only Colin.

Bought a used camper but waited for almost 2 weeks to pick it up, because even though it was used, we were told it would be in service to make sure everything was good on it, after paying cash for it and waiting to pick it up, got to first trip with it and had several issues but the main 2 problems were, the main ac unit would just make a noise and jacks would not raise fully, after phone conversations with them, he was a jerk and basically called me a liar, never offered to make it right, we took our rv to repair shop and the ac unit needed new motor and jacks needed new motor and clutches. Bottom line, they lie to customers and have no problem doing that and then won’t make it right. Don’t buy from them!

Amazing service! Collin was so easy to work with! Got us the exact deal we were looking for. I had been other places and AOK RV topped them all! I can not say enough good about the whole team!

Colin & Katie were phenomenal. Colin was a great salesman, not push whatsoever, & very knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions with confidence & ease. Katie made the paperwork/signing process a piece of cake. The tech who helped our walk through did great as well. Overall buying experience was great. I would do it all over again with them!

My husband and I traded in our older trailer for a new trailer. Price was the best and we were treated with the greatest respect by all the staff. Collin in sales and Karen in service were quick and responsive even when we worked out issues with the new trailer. Best experience ever for Rv sales and service. Worth the extra drive!

Yelp
Go to any other repair shop--there are plenty in the area! The staff was nice but I asked for 3 things to be looked at. Two were fixed. I was charged $50 for an $18 heating element. I went in with a working water pump, it was just clogged and needed flushed out, and I left with a new water pump. (Hmmm) The two big issues I have are #1) I requested they clean my AC and they didn't even look at it, just told me I need a new one and would I like to proceed? Turns out it just needed to be cleaned (thanks to a friend) and it's working well now! #2 issue is that over an hour and a half was spent on something I did not request to be inspected or fixed. (It was an issue I knew about and was working to resolve.) I spoke up to the repair personnel but they continued. I spoke to the office and was told, "They don't like to leave issues unresolved". At $120 an hour, I did not need them to 'try and figure it out'. They absolutely should've spoken to me before racking up 3.25 hrs--only 2.5 were spent fixing issues. I had a few other minor things that needed attention but after 4 hours and only my heating element and water pump were replaced, I had to call it. I contacted management but that was a waste of time.

Yelp
This place is dependable and honest! Great during sales and maintenance. We took our Rpod in twice and each time the work was expedient and affordable. Staff was kind and thorough.

Yelp
It is a rare and special experience to find a business that conducts itself with honor and integrity. AOK is one such business. Again and again AOK has shown me they go to any lengths to make sure the customer is well taken care of in every aspect of how they conduct business. I found my perfect travel trailer in AOK's inventory. To give you an idea of how incredible I think these folks are, AOK is a 24 hour drive from where I live in the Palm Springs, CA area. It is well worth the drive! I will not hesitate to get on the road again for AOK RVs in Missouri for my next purchase.

Yelp
We where very excited to fined just the right travel trailer for us at AOK RV's. We purchased it outright with a trade in. Went to our appointment to have a walk through of our new purchase. This is when things started going sideways. This was 6-23-2020. We showed up for a appointed time our camper was plugged in and we where guided through every aspect of it. I noted that the door was hard to shut and didn't latch well. Had to slam it to get it to latch. The tech said he would work on it while we finished paperwork. It still doesn't work! I also noted that the refrigerator wasn't cool or cold. Was told the camper hadn't been plugged in long enough for it to be cold. We hooked it up to our truck and drove over 1 hour to the campground we have it permanently parked at and hooked everything up. I remained in the camper over night to make sure all was working. The refrigerator never got cold. Either on gas or electric setting. I called right away and reported this issue and as of today 8-12-2020 it is still not fixed or any real idea of when it will be, along with the door that has to be slammed to latch. I was told that we would have to return it to their service bay to have it serviced for these issues, I contest this as I pointed these issues out on the walk through! I wanted to give them 5 stars because the sales department did a great job. Service is another story and honestly that is way more important because from now on out after sale that is who you deal with! Love the camper and sure do wish we could camp in our NEW camper without eating out of coolers!! So I am giving 2 stars for sales and -3 for service.

Yelp
Came from Oregon, they had a model I could not find west of Rockies they had 3. Good price no extras, not pushy one little bit. Send you out ready to camp. Setup registration for Oregon Tax. Very nice staff
