Shoddy work, made me pay for recall and warranty work and won't reimburse.
August 2024 I took my Micro Minnie in for a Winnebago recall on the stove, as well as a leaking gray tank gate. I had called over a month in advance, as I was spending the entire month of September in Utah, and knew I needed these things addressed. Despite the advanced notice, my camper was not ready until just 2 days before I was to leave. They told me I had to pay up front for the work, and that they would reimburse me after Winnebago paid them for the work; since I was on a deadline I didn't argue and I paid. I was annoyed that they had just placed my hitch lock inside the camper rather than locking it, and then I had to wait over 10 minutes for them to track down my wheel chocks since they were not w/ my camper.
Once home and packing to leave, I checked the work. While the gray gate no longer leaked, the drain pipe from the tank to the waste outlet now had a drip where they had cut into it and placed a coupling! I also found a few cuts into the underbelly which were not taped, besides a messy job with spray foam. I used seam sealer tape to seal everything up, and trimmed some of the excess foam just so it didn't make my new camper look bad (it sits up high, so you can see underneath pretty easily). I didn't have time to deal with the drip, and was fortunate that none of the RV parks where I stayed seemed to notice the wet spot after showers/sink use when hooked to sewer (but I know some places can be strict about this).
WORST OF ALL is that I paid for the work and the recall, and now at 10 months and at least 20 phone calls later, I still have NOT been reimbursed. First, after returning from Utah and a few weeks back to work, I called to follow up and learned AOK had not even filed w/ Winnebago yet. I suppose it wasn't a priority since they had their money from me. They said they were filling and it would take a few months. At the end of December I called again, hoping to get closure before year end; they asked me to take a photo of the serial number on my camper stove, because they said the one taken by their tech was too blurry for Winnebago to accept. I had to find a Youtube video on how to take the top of my stove off so I could get the picture they needed (and then realized I probably could have addressed the recall issue myself and avoided this nightmare!). They said they were going to submit the photo and it would be several more weeks. Early February I tried calling them, but after leaving a few messages and getting NO return call, I reached out to Winnebago. Winnebago seemed astonished that this had gone on so long, and that they had made me pay up front. They said they would call AOK and let me know. Winnebago called me back and said I would be hearing from AOK and that I would be reimbursed. I did get a call from AOK then, and they told me it would just take a few more weeks because Winnebago was sending them a check, and once they had it they would cut me a check.
I called again in March, and was told only part of the payment had arrived, it would take a few more weeks. I called early May and they are not returning my call or email now. It has been TEN MONTHS since the (shoddy) work was done and paid for, and I still have not been reimbursed. I will be calling Winnebago again, filing w/ the BBB, and perhaps talking with a lawyer.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE CENTER, and IF YOU DO, check the work and DO NOT PAY UNTIL you know it's done right and until you know they've filed with the manufacturer at least.
In photos you can see the underbelly cuts before (yellow cicrles) and after (green arrows) I repaired them. And you can see the excessive foam and DRIP in the video.
