"The owner-chef’s aim was to create an udon that was neither Sanuki nor Osaka-style. He applies the soba-making skills he learned before going independent to making udon noodles, such as by grinding wheat into flour on a millstone. His signature dish is ‘Arabiki (Coarse Ground) Udon’. Wanting his customers to taste the flavour of the noodles themselves, he garnishes them with a little salt, as is more usually done with soba." - Michelin Inspector

A very stylish, delicious udon restaurant with a cool vibe that blends traditional and modern styles. The design of the restaurant is very nice, setting a trendy atmosphere with appropriate lighting and decor, but still retaining a traditional Japanese feel with rustic tableware and displaying where they make the noodles by hand. The food was very delicious, with very balanced flavors. The blended-grain udon had a nice nutty flavor, and I especially liked the tamagoyaki they had rolled up in the sushi with some unagi. The tempura was also very carefully prepared to crispy perfection. The only thing that I found lacking was that, for a 1500 yen lunch set, I was still hungry when I left. The quantity is probably perfect for smaller eaters, but I felt an imbalance in the price and quantity of food.

Nice place for a quick bite. The tempura was the star of the show, as well as their other dishes section (the chicken was divine). The duck udon was average, nothing to write home about. Really affordable prices and good quality for that price.

We took the Duck hotpot course and were disappointed. The course was okay, but there was not enough support from the staff. very pricy, cost 6680 yen per person - we expected to have a special experience. Udon noodles were horrible: - hot noodles were too slippery and are almost uneatble with chopsticks - cold noodles were disgraceful

The best udon I've ever had. The whole wheat udon noodle has unique and amazing texture. Shrimp tempura is surprisingly extraordinary. Service is also remarkable. The waiters are very helpful in explaining how to eat the udon properly. Definitely a 10/10. Absoulutely will try this restaurant again if I visit Osaka next time.

A very delicious meal in Osaka! We chose the tempura and udon and it was absolutely delicious. These guys deserve their Michelin star!!!

This was a delicious udon place I went to because of a New York Times recommendation. We got the basic cold udon and warm udon. Also ordered the chicken udon. All were absolutely delicious. They make their udon right in house. We also ordered swig sushi which was better than expected! The English menu is limited.

Poor quality food, very expensive. Good music thought. Someone got sick of the food, and they made us pay 150€ for the blocked toilets.

Rare find during my evening walk! The beverages and sakes selections are amazing, and the staffs were very helpful which they provided lots of recommendation in the midst of my confusion from all the Japanese Text. But thankfully, I chose the right menu and their portion was huge too! Come and try!
