AP Rooftop

It’s such a pleasure to dine somewhere that really gets it. Was looking for a last-minute spot to eat last weekend and was able to sneak into the bar and eat dinner at the AP rooftop. Watching the performance of the bartenders was entertainment enough to make the evening worthwhile. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere and view is a 10 and the food (double cut pork chop ) is delicious.

Great food, great views, lovely staff. “Why is it two stars then?” My experience was on Saturday, July 12. Well Susan, let me tell you. For one thing, it’s your bar. Your bar is packed and severely understaffed to handle the influx of people standing around in generic $50 black tops & jeans, ordering 3-4 espresso martinis. Because of that, chaos erupts thus causing my first round of drinks to be 45 minutes late and the buss boys dropping trays of glasses as if it were a Grecian wedding. Do us all a favor and limit the amount of people congregating around the bar before it becomes Porta. I come here for my sexy lemon drop martini smothered in a sugar rim. Because the bar was packed, my appetizers came before the drinks did. I was left with $6 bread, (why am I paying for bread?) and soggy calamari. It was smothered in this weird white sauce with no flavor, in which I’m assuming someone took it in the back and freaked it. Look, I want to love AP Rooftop. The view is unmatched, the vibe is cute, and when the drinks DO arrive, they hit. But no amount of skyline or sexy lighting can distract from the disorganized chaos that is your dining room situation. Until there’s some crowd control, a rework of the timing, and maybe a serious conversation about the calamari crime happening in the kitchen, I’ll be sipping my overpriced lemon drop elsewhere.

We greatly enjoyed our meal this Saturday evening. My partner and I both had our well trained emotional support animals and hostess Tamara was so helpful in accommodating us outside. This was a great relief as we were concerned we might not be able to find a place for dinner w out pets. We were very pleased w ambience, drinks, and staff would def return. I had the Sicilian citrus salad and husband had chicken agrodolce. The chicken was world class. Naively I expected the citrus in salad to be comparable to oranges in Spain which of course it wasn’t. This does speak to how impressed I was with the vide overall. Very cool and fun place without being intimidating. Warm welcoming and fun. Thank you Tamara 1000% for seating us with our pets we will be back!

Excellent food - to start off brunch we had the oysters and the cacio o Pepe arrocino followed by the delectable entrees: Biscuits and Gravy and the Pancetta Egg and Cheese Sandwich. All amazing on the culinary front. However, if you are a Black or Brown person, please be sure to advocate for yourself and request a nice table with an ocean view. The 2 hosts working on 8/17/25 at 2:30p tried to sit my partner and I at the very back while there were multiple tables that were beachfront and people in front of us (without a reservation scored an amazing beach view table) So, I decided to speak up and request a change in table - begrudgingly we were sat up front. We had our meal and all was fantastic. Now, on our way out we saw another PoC couple sat all the way in the back with no beach view even though MULTIPLE beach view tables were available!! Although I’m sure the hosts didn’t do this intentionally it is these silent micro aggressions that make all the difference in a dining experience. I trust that moving forward, the 2 hosts make a conscious efforts on making everyone’s experience a meaningful and memorable one afterall Asbury Park has a historically thriving Black community. Have to say; it was my first time at this restaurant and it certainly won’t be my last. Olivia was our server and she was phenomenal. All her recommendations were on point. We started a with dozen oysters (east coast) and an order of mussels. For entree we got the lamb chops, grilled octopus and the branzino and have to say everything was incredible

The vibe and decor here is on point, the designers did a fantastic job. The details are so pretty and high end, right down to the menus in the leather binders with the extra thick paper. Food and drinks were excellent at lunchtime. I didn't mind the frozen mignonette at all, not sure why that was flagged as a negative. Service was slightly slow but I think that was a reading the room thing since we were obviously in no rush. Will definitely be back!

I've recently had the pleasure photographing a quaint elopement style wedding local to the Asbury park area that concluded with a luncheon at the AP Rooftop. The staff at AP Rooftop are exceptionally accommodating and professional. Their attention to detail ensures that every event runs smoothly, allowing me to focus on capturing candid moments. The venue’s aesthetic is a perfect blend of sophistication and comfort with a couple photogenic locations within the venue itself. Natural light floods the space, with much of the seating juxtaposed besides massive floor-to-ceiling windows. With the venue being very conveniently located right on the boardwalk and next to Convention Hall, it was an easy decision to snap a handful of fun pictures mid snowstorm with the couple. The bar at AP Rooftop is a highlight in itself. Guests can enjoy a curated selection of cocktails crafted by skilled bartenders. The drink menu is diverse, catering to a wide range of tastes, and the presentation is excellent. In summary, Asbury Park Rooftop combines stunning visuals, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for couples seeking a memorable wedding venue.

Great place to dine! Atmosphere and the vibe was wonderful. We had the the chopped salad and beet ravioli dish, with a pizza and ended with espresso martinis everything was delicious. Our waitress Allison was amazing, it was our first visit. She made a good impression. Overall I would definitely go back, just leave yourself a little time for parking.

Last night was our fifth time at AP Rooftop, and all five visits were great! The place is very nice, the staff courteous and helpful, and the food was delicious. (Once, a steak was a bit too rare, but my companion didn't want to send it back- I would have) This time, we had some oysters, octopus, and shrimp to start (all very yummy), Branzino and two of the double pork chops (one 'medium-well', one 'well', and they were right on the money). The sides were good, and the wine- while a little pricey- was excellent! Our waitress- Destiny - was very nice, but if you're lucky enough to have Alison, you've hit the top of the charts as far as professionalism goes. We'll be back!

Celebrated Halloween at AP Rooftop! Loved the decorations! Food was yummy as usual! Great service!

Amazing location, food and vibes at this super classy, beautiful restaurant! We came for brunch on a Sunday they had a DJ too!! I'm not sure where to start, an absolutely stunning restaurant with full bar, windows all around with ocean views, and historic downtown waterfront Asbury Park! The drinks are top-notch, the food is fantastic! We've come here for dinner and brunch. This time I was here for brunch and the selections are unique and incredibly delicious! I had eggs with tomatoes, onions, and peppers and sourdough toast. Others in our group had steak and eggs, other side, chicken, and waffles. The food is just great! They have a wonderful bar. It makes terrific drinks. I had a craft beer that was wonderful! There's parking on the street outside, you have to pay for parking in Asbury PARK but we never have trouble getting a spot. On Sunday also parking is free! Highly recommended for unique, incredibly fun and delicious place to visit!

Came on a busy evening in late August. Had a drink on the patio before moving inside to a table. The ocean view was incredible! Staff was efficient and helpful. The 14 oz dry-rubbed double chop was served with shaved Brussels sprouts, seared polenta, and a pineapple and bacon jam -- delicious. We had no room for dessert.

Excellent happy hour with ocean and sunset views. Cozy in the winter time with fireplaces and lounge areas. Happy hour is only at the bar or on some of the couches. Excellent prices and very generous food portions, wine pours, etc. . Arrive early to get a seat, it's very popular even in the dead of winter. I can't imagine what it's like in the summer! Had chopped salad, baked oysters, tzatziki. People next to us had a cheeseboard that looked amazing, and there were many pizzas being served. Will be back!

I've been wanting to hit a rooftop this summer, so I'm glad I got to check out AP Rooftop. I visited on a Sunday with a group of ladies from a social club. We ended up with a pretty large group and when more people showed up than what was expected, they were accommodating and created space for the extra people. Once you enter this space, the views and vibe are lovely. This restaurant sits on the beach, so depending on where you are, you get a nice ocean view. The bar area of the restaurant is nice as well. I ordered the Sunsets in Valencia drink. It's a spritz cocktail that was very refreshing. For food, I went with the naan tacos and a side salad. I loved both. The tacos were filled with chicken tikka masala. They were yummy. I just wish they had a little more chicken in them. Overall, I could see myself returning, even if it's just to sit at the bar. However, I would advise against going here early in the day during the weekend in summer, unless you live in the area. If you're from or visited the Jersey Shore during the summer, you know the deal. Parking can be a challenge, as it was for myself and a few others in my group. It took me 45 minutes to find a spot. I absolutely refused to pay $50 for the nearby parking garage. It can be a pain battling it out for parking with the beach goers in summer, so be prepared for that.

First, let me say, I've been here 1/2 dozen times and food is always good. I would like to comment on a few other items. There was 4 of us and we got the burrata app for $16. It came with one ball of burrata...Really. That was quite ridiculous. The waitress should have told us that it was not an appetizer to share. The pasta dishes are way to price at $42. Even if you add shrimp no pasta dish should be more than $30. Also, the waitress was very attentive in the beginning of our night because it was not busy...but once it did get busy, we had to flag her down for the dessert menu and the check. Finally, I would definitely recommend this place, but when ordering ask questions. And, be prepared to spend $300 for 4 people. P.S. Atmosphere is quite nice...looking at the Ocean.

The AP Rooftop has been awarded 5 based upon the quality, variety and creativeness put into every plate. Our sever was outstanding, patient, helpful, and allowed us to better enjoy our meal. The interior is soft industrial with views overlooking Asbury Park waterfront.

This spot is 5 star for ambiance & cocktails but food is 3 stars. Our server was excellent and overall made for a lovely evening. I'd come back for sure but only for drinks, at this price point there's better food out there.

3rd time here. 1st time in summer. They have a real nice happy hour. Inside bar was full (where happy hour applies) but they also honor it outside which is great for warmer weather. Got to look out over the beach and boardwalk scene. A bit breezy gusty when we went along the sidewall though, blew the beer bottle over on the table! So be alert lol. We caught it. Staff is great and scenery is great!

A new rooftop with beautiful views of the beach in Asbury Park! We made a reservation for lunch on a Saturday right when it opened (this was last month) but there were still plenty of tables/bar seats available. The smoked pepperoni pizza was definitely the hit, packed with flavor and plenty of crispy pepperoni and peppers. The lobster roll was delicious and very filling as well. Our only complaint was that the fries were listed as truffle fries on the menu, but we just received regular fries. Not sure if that was a mix up in the kitchen or they changed their recipe without updating the menu. Also, the fries needed more salt. Still, we'll certainly dine here again and look forward to trying the dinner menu.

A must go in asbury park. You will love the views, service and food. Two fireplaces and a well designed outside allows sun to hit you morning and afternoon. Service was attentive and helpful for gluten free options. Nice wine list and reasonable

Food was meh . Proved that looks can be deceiving . Online looked great . Found the restaurant to be designed beautifully . Service wasn't great . Wouldn't go back ! Drinks were basic with fancy names and highly over priced .

Rooftop bar was nothing special. Drinks were ok. They had a live dj playing super loud music.

Amazing restaurant, excellent service and the food was great. I had the AP Prime burger, it was cooked perfect. Our waitress was personal and friendly. The scene was breathtaking. I will definitely be back.

We did NOT try to sit outside where everybody wants to be on one of the busiest weekends of the year 4th of July (though it is a beautiful view.) We sat where we were put (because hostesses have a rotation they need to follow,) next to the windows and it was still beautiful! They did accommodate us because the AC was dripping on the table given the humidity outside. Not the restaurant's fault, that's nature, and they were happy to scoot us to a table not under the system. Our server was perfectly attentive, had a great personality joking around with us, food and drinks came out quick (we were trying to get to a show at the Lanes,) and the drinks were perfectly strong. I got a normal margarita ($14) first that was balanced well, then opted for the fun Lost In Translation ($17) but I wish I could've taken that glass home! (See video) The food was INCREDIBLE!! We got the chef housemade bread (YES. GET IT! $6) I got the naan tacos (almost shredded chicken and yes the flavor is great without it being too spicy. $14) He got the oven roasted spiced wings that came with a cheese sauce below it that was so delicious we mopped it up with the bread. $18 The ONLY downfall is the fact the sandwiches and paninis are only available until 4pm. We wanted to try the chicken one. We will 10000% be back and I can't wait! Overall the night cost $93 (with tip,) which in today's world actually isn't bad for the quality of food and drinks.

My wife and I checked out AP Rooftop and had a great experience. The vibe is awesome! The restaurant has a super clean, modern design with a nice setup upstairs that overlooks the Asbury Park boardwalk and beach. The menu has a solid variety, and the atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for either casual drinks or dinner. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Vibe: 5 Food: 3 Service: 1. Location: 5 Ok it's summer. You're over a year old - staff for the tables you book! 20 minutes for 2 glasses of wine. 40 minutes for 2 cocktails. One completely wrong. Asked for ice for warm table water. Never came. Got it myself. When server finally came with cocktails 'oh good someone got you ice' he says. I said yes. I GOT IT. no response. My tacos were cold. Others loved their chicken meals. Server never checked in. Spent more time exploring dessert than being attentive Chocolate dessert mediocre. I want to love this place I just can't. Yelp won't allow me to delete ambience as needs improvement. That's their strength!

Great atmosphere, enjoyable music and appetizer happy hour selection. Happy Hour offers off brand vodka & Gin and is measured for those that are wondering about measuring spots. In all good a great spot to hit up.

Lunch service is definitely lacking. Sat outside, the view is beautiful. The service, not great. The black silverware was dirty to start, if you're going to have dark silver wear, least make sure it's clean not crusted with food. The service was slow, the restaurant was not busy no reason for delayed greeting. Ordered cocktails, it took close to 20 mins, while good not worth the wait. Also, perhaps giggling at the cocktail name as a customer orders it as feels strange, are you not familiar with the menu? Chose a pizza from their menu, it's was just ok. The Pepperoni could've been crispier and the sesame seeds on the crust, while I didn't hate don't match the flavor profile in my opinion. Getting a second drink we had to just about wave our napkin at our server. While the ambiance of this place is very nice it's not a stand out and we will likely not return.

We started with a cocktail that was a great pour. Note that we bar tender left us alone. I like service but despise when bartenders hover. Leave us alone to enjoy the experience. I might have eaten the most deliciously crispy chicken Milanese in my life with processed arugula. I loved the beautiful view as well- highly recommend this place. Grab a seat at the spacious bar or outside overlooking the ocean. Either way you have a great view.

We went here last night while on the boardwalk for drinks and it ended up being Happy Hour! We had a mai tai and martini, both the drinks were made perfectly! Our bartender, Matthew, was so personable and friendly! We really enjoyed the views, food, and drinks! For food, we had the chicken skewers and tzatziki dip appetizers. We will definitely come back again when we are in the area!

Exceptional Dining Experience at AP Rooftop We had an absolutely unforgettable dinner at AP Rooftop. Two of us had been before and couldn't wait to bring friends and it exceeded expectations yet again. The restaurant was filled to capacity, yet the atmosphere was perfectly balanced, lively and vibrant without being overwhelming. The music blended seamlessly with the energy of the room, and we could still hold a conversation without ever needing to raise our voices a rare and welcome touch in a bustling, popular spot. We started with cocktails that set the tone for the evening: a dirty martini that was impossibly smooth, a white Burgundy that was light, crisp, and elegant, and a gimlet mixed to absolute perfection. Our appetizers the whipped brie and piccata calamari were divine. The brie was luxuriously creamy with just the right balance of sweet and savory, and the calamari was tender with a bright, flavorful sauce that made every bite sing. For entrées, we shared the lamb chops, bucatini & clams, and short rib ragout; each dish somehow better than the last. The lamb was beautifully cooked and bursting with flavor, the pasta perfectly al dente, and the ragout rich and comforting without being heavy. And then came dessert the pumpkin cheesecake. Now, I'm not a pumpkin person, but this was otherworldly. Light, airy, and almost cloud-like more like eating a pumpkin-spiced dream than a traditional cheesecake. We asked to meet Executive Chef Rob, who graciously came to our table. His passion and talent shine through in every dish, and it was such a pleasure to thank him personally. A special thank-you to our server Lauren, whose warmth, attentiveness, and perfect pacing made the evening effortless from start to finish. AP Rooftop is that rare combination of exceptional food, flawless cocktails, and genuine hospitality, all wrapped in an atmosphere that's both energetic and comfortable. A true gem...we'll absolutely be back again and again.

My husband and I recently stopped by AP Rooftop for dinner while we were visiting Asbury Park for a few days. It's easy to see why this place is popular, considering the views of the beach are really beautiful. We were greeted warmly as soon as we came out of the elevator, and the service in general was great. They even accommodated us when we asked if we could move to a table with a better view. In terms of food, we shared the shrimp cocktail and fried calamari, both of which were delicious, and I had a special clam pizza with roasted garlic. My husband had the AP burger. The clam pizza was very good. I would've loved a bit more of noticeable roasted garlic flavor, but it was tasty in general and the clams were not chewy. My husband seemed happy with his burger as well as his upgraded truffle Parmesan fries (definitely worth the upcharge). Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely return.

The view was spectacular. The atmosphere was great. I really wanted to love this place. Going up the elevator I felt like we were going to the VIP lounge- It's new so let me say- The drink selection could use some seasonal drinks and a few more beers on tap. The food has the right idea - just off to a slow start. I will come back in a month or two once they get their wings. Overall it was a nice experience for me. There is not a lot of places to eat and drink and look out over the Atlantic Ocean. I would say go check it out and stick to the basics and you will love it.

I really enjoyed my meal at the AP rooftop. It has a beautiful setting and view. I sat at the bar and received great service. I highly recommend one of their spritz drinks.

I will say that the decor ambiance of this place is quite spectacular. Floor to ceiling windows with ocean views. However, I will say that although the cocktail menu seems impressive, the drinks themselves were kind of like juice. Paying an average $16 per cocktail. Food portions werent bad, but the menu is a little pricey. The servers were very friendly and accommodating, making the experience much more pleasant

The ambience is warm and contemporary. The views of the water and pavilion are invigorating and still calming. Appetizers were creative and delicious. Even the arancini, traditional fare but with a yummy sauce. Our server Jesse was attentive, personable and friendly.

I feel bad writing a bad review but I feel like people really need to know. The atmosphere of this restaurant is really nice, but also misleading. After looking at the menu and vibes of this place, I was super hopeful for a great meal. First, I wanted to touch on the service. Our server was sweet, but she was slow and not attentive to details. Came back saying she forgot items, wrong food coming out, and to top it off, she introduced us very uncertain of her ability to do her job well. Now to the food, which lead me extremely disappointed. We split about 3 apps at the table, the oysters were probably the worst oysters I've ever had, and I've had them from everywhere. No flavor, gummy, really disappointing. The bread and dip came out cold and the warm dip tasted like stale cheese. As for my main dish, I was actually afraid to order dinner because the appetizers were so awful and my mother was treating us for my birthday, I did not want to have her spend another overpriced penny there because I knew it was going to disappoint. When I went to order, my friend and I both asked to remove mint and meat from our dishes we wanted. The kitchen could not do that because they "pre mix" their meals. That was the biggest red flag to me that their food was not fresh. I understand not being able to remove meat, but MINT? It's an herb. The first drink I had was great, the second one, the garnishes were soggy and sad. I hate to be this negative and normally can chalk up a bad meal once in awhile but especially for the jacked up prices, this was probably the worst experience/food I've ever had at a restaurant.

This place is a great addition to the Asbury boardwalk! Take the elevator or stairs up to the 3rd floor, and you're taken to an elegant (but not over done for being by the beach) dining room with seating options outside with beach and boardwalk views. Our waitress Abbey was super friendly and helpful when it came to asking her opinion on what food to get, and was very attentive to my nut allergy. For example, their dance party espresso martini has pistachio in it but I was able to get a regular espresso martini. Both great! Food was also tasty. I recommend the Mediterranean salad with a chicken cutlet. The bread appetizer is pricey but totally worth it. It comes with a sun dried tomato oil that's amazing. Management is super friendly and checked in to make sure everything was to our liking. Go to the beach then check this place out!

Went here for brunch and had a blast. You'd think you were at a drag brunch because they had a dj blasting your typical asbury toons. We started with the dip trio which I heavily recommend. Fresh veggies, crackers, and bread and 3 large dips to go along. Highlights for us were the whipped feta and the beetroot hummus. My party got a mix of things - AP burger, pepperoni pizza, and Shakshuka. The burger and pizza are on their regular menu as well. Everything was delicious and tasted as expected - out of these, there's nothing I'd be running back for. Service was slow but friendly. Took us a while to get our drinks. I got a cocktail and it didn't come out until after we got our appetizer. I watched a couple get seated and leave after 10 or so minutes. Not sure if it was the lack of introduction or if it was the loud dj.

Josh was our server. He was excellent. Drinks were also excellent. We took major issue with our Lobster Roll, mussels and bread. The bread on the lobster roll was stale. Really! The bread for the mussels - stale. The biggest miss was the amount of lobster meat. It was an honest two bites in total. We are on the thinner smaller side of people. It was very upsetting and costly for otherwise good experiences. Saturday.

Nice idea and decent decor. Appetizers better than entrees but just ok. They lost us on two issues. 1. They charge for Ice. Can't they cover their cost with $18 charge on the tequila? This is a new thing, I haven't seen. 2. I asked for hot sauce and they only had Tabasco. I'm 2024 in Asbury, not something any restaurant should do. Given same ownership as Robinsons I would expect a bit more Asbury Park vibes.

Have been here before & my first visit was phenomenal. The food, the atmosphere , the service & the drinks were perfect. Decided to try it again for a nice dinner. It was not what I expected based on my previous visit. As you can see in the photo, they're plenty of open tables. Our server Josh, took 10 mins to bring us water and then took another 15 mins to bring our drinks. I got a lychee martini and it was horrible, it tasted like a lemon drop. The waiter dropped off the drink and left and I could not find him or flag him down. 5 mins later our appetizers come out & still did not check in. We ordered the cheese plate which was a disgrace for the amount they charge for a couple pieces of cheese, olives, & crackers. My whole party was disappointed by the presentation and all called it pathetic. While we were picking at the cheese like they're rations, he still didn't come by. I flagged down another waitress who was nice enough to get him over to replace my drink. He came back with my drink and didn't even apologize. Working in the service industry before, this is not good customer service. Slow night, bad service. Needs some new training for a high class restaurant. Would only give 2 stars for the ambiance. Don't think I'd come back to spend the money like this. Go downstairs to Iron Whale.

Wow. No words. Me and my boyfriend got the Meatball (which is a MUST), Naan Tacos, and the Prime Burger. Everything was insane. INSANE!! The service was great and the ambience is chill-- our waitress Allison was AWESOME! Definitely check it outtttt!!! EDIT: Went back again to try more. Had to drop a photo of the lobster because.... jeez. Wow. No words. And AFFOGATO!!! YES!!

Nice newer restaurant situated a level above the boardwalk to give good views of the activity and ocean below. Good drink and beer selection. High end American fare that was enjoyed by all in our party. Outside seating is at a premium in season and can be a little wait, but worth it. Can belly up to the bar as you wait for a table. Great service. Very enjoyable experience

Came with our 3 adults and 2 kids. The staff was very nice to the kids and the manager came over at least 5 times to make sure everything was good. We had the burger, chicken Milanese, and lamb ragu. Loved them all. Also we ordered too many cocktails and there were also awesome. Lastly this place has great ocean views and a really cool bar. If you can get a reservation, definitely try it out.

Great vibes and service. The atmosphere is upscale but also relaxing. Tons of natural light from all the windows. Will be a great spot in the summer. Food was subpar. Lacking flavor all around. Cocktails were hit or miss. The Paloma for 2 had an imperceptible amount of tequila while the breakfast cocktail had delicious coffee and chocolate notes.

I was super excited to try this place out. I lived in Asbury for 10 years and now just down the road. I have bartended at many of the most popular places in town. I ordered a $14 glass of rosè with ice. The server came out with the bottle and advised me there was a typo on the menu and it was actually $15 okaaaay... $1 whatever. He proceeded to pour me the smallest $15 glass of wine. My friend took it to the bartender and was like was this a mistake? The manager then came over and proceeded to explain to me and my friends (all experienced bartenders) how a 6oz glass of wine is properly poured. Okay girl.... Bye. They took the $1 typo off the bill for the inconvenience and I never got the ice. Needless I wont be back and I will be letting everyone I know not to go as well. Do better.

Beautiful restaurant and great service. Just such a pretty spot with a more diverse menu than other Mcloone's properties. Food was tasty.

This place was lively and had a beautiful interior. Great addition to the area. The drinks were delicious and came out quickly. The food was also delicious. We got the Naan tacos and meatball and loved them both.

Let's just say I didn't even get to leave before having to go to the restroom with explosive diarrhea!! $65 brunch is a hot bed for food poisoning and they are serving it up on Easter Sunday! Great!

Overall just underwhelming. My friend and I ordered a pizza to share and it was soggy. It could have been cooked more given it is KNOWN for its smoked pizza (not a single char on that dough) Overpriced meal if I'm being honest but good table service and ambiance for any occasion.

Nice hostess sat us down. Place was empty. Countless employees walking around. Not one of them bothered to help us. No water, no drinks, no thing. After 10 minutes we got up and left. Nobody even asked or bothered to stop 4 of us! Mgmt should be embarrassed and ashamed.

Excellent food and service, waitstaff was wonderfully patient with my change of mind during my meal. Wonderful dirty martini, highly recommend the strawberry salad. Yum. Pistachios, strawberries, radishes, and I added rare skirt steak Was allowed to take a serving of five pastries home. Yum

Rude!!! The hostess yesterday was not very kind . Yesterday my husband and I decided to spend the holiday in Asbury Park . I love the culture and atmosphere of the beach , the boardwalk, and the beautiful restaurants. I had asked a couple leaving the rooftop if they enjoyed and there reply was " Beautiful. Enjoyed the drinks and the view". So I was excited walking into the gorgeous lobby area . We encountered 2 hostess's, who were gracious and very kind as they directed us to the elevators. Well as we were coming off the elevator, we encountered patrons who raved , they had a great time as well . Welp walking to the hostess stand , I could see the rudeness from a mile away . The hostess was tall with brown hair and a slightly pale complexion. The hostess did not smile , was not welcoming actually was quite unsettling her facial expression. Welp I knew then this may go either way . We asked if we could have a table outside to order drinks . The hostess looked at myself and my husband and clearly stated , " Do you have a reservation ?". We were not aware of the reservation policy as we encountered the two hostess's downstairs in the lobby and either informed us of the reservation especially on July 4, 2024, when patrons and beach goers head to the Jersey Shore . We clearly were trying to have a cocktail or two , and enjoy the beautiful views of Asbury Park . I graciously looked at her replied , " No we do not . We were wondering if we may have drinks outside at one of the tables ". The agitated hostess's reply ", We are taking reservations at this time ." Now I'm sure she profiled my husband and I , due to her facial expression and bad attitude , which she displayed immediately. My husband and I , turned on our heels and left to enter another restaurant where we were treated much better . P.S. I will be writing a Google review as well in regards to the hostess on the rooftop . And also writing to whomever manages the rooftop . The other two hostesses in the lobby were so nice , they actually need to be on the rooftop , welcoming patrons :)

The atmosphere was great. We sat at a high top and looked out at a disgruntled ocean. Beautiful. Our server, Abby (Abbie?) was wonderful. Spent time talking with us, over all, a very good server. The food? Eh. Skirt steak tasted good, but was chewy. Salmon was ok. Typical McCloone's food. We realized there was no veggie with the steak, and no starch with the salmon. If we wanted either of these, add $10 each to the bill. Happy we went to see the new venue, but nothing urging us to return.

Ate here with 2 friends on a Saturday night in December. The ambiance is beautiful! You overlook the ocean, it's beautifully decorated and it was a cozy ambiance with Christmas lights and the fireplace. The food was ok. We had the cheese board and the olives- they were both very good. We also had the chicken Milanese and lobster roll. The lobster roll was good, but the Milanese was ok- chicken was a bit thick. Our waitress was not the friendliest, did not tell us what the specials were or offer to show us the dessert board. We only knew they existed due to seeing/ hearing other tables with a different server getting them. I'd go back because of the ambiance and maybe another server would provide better service- may have been just an off night.
