I came here for my birthday recently and thought it was great! The drinks were unique and super tasty at average New York prices. The atmosphere and vibe were also really good and service was pretty quick.

First and foremost, this place is severely understaffed. There was one waiter for the whole establishment and the hostess also had to help with taking orders and fulfilling them while simultaneously cleaning and running the counter/searing people. I came here for a party, which they do not seem entirely equipped to handle. That being said, there is a great atmosphere in here. The music is pretty good. Most patrons are also very friendly and it was fun to dance and sing along to the songs in here with my group. The flatbreads were pretty good as well as the fries. I liked the cocktails the most. I tried the Bloody Oath and the Luna Negra. I thought they were pretty well balanced in flavors. Not too strong but also good pours. Not too sweet or bitter. Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy the drinks and the atmosphere as well. I would rate this bar higher if they were better staffed. Multiple times I attempted to go to the bathroom, but they were not well kept. We also spent long times waiting to order drinks and food. I do appreciate the effort that was put into the service given that they definitely need more staff. Additionally, we received a free round of shots at the end of the night, which was appreciated as the service took a very long time and we were a large group. I am not sure if I will return or not… however, I would still recommend to others.

This place is sooo much fun! I absolutely love this vibe. The girlies love it. The drinks are great. We had an event here and it was so on theme. The ambience and vibe was amazing. Super cozy.

I hosted my birthday at Apartment 5 last weekend, and while the food and drinks were good and Brandon, our server, was very helpful, the overall experience was deeply disappointing. Despite multiple email confirmations that the room I booked was a private space reserved for my guests only (7–11 PM), the venue rented the adjoining area to another large group of what seemed like over 50 people. There are no doors or partitions, so our “private” room became a walkway for strangers, who entered freely, ordered from our bar, and disrupted our event continuously. Our dinner started at 8 and by 9:30, what was meant to be an intimate dinner felt like eating inside a club. We were surrounded by strangers. At one point, I was forced to confront these uninvited guests myself, and one of them verbally abused me in front of my friends - an absolutely humiliating experience. When my friends stepped in, they were abused too. I even have videos and photos showing uninvited people in our paid space, including one where the owner is seen chatting with them inside our room. This was a complete misrepresentation of what I was promised, with zero event control or guest management. To make matters worse, no one from Apartment 5 has responded to my concerns since the event, despite my attempt to reach out. What was meant to be a joyful celebration turned into a chaotic and distressing night. Despite telling the owner what the occasion is and her confirming she will print menus for us, she came up to me right before the party to ask what we were celebrating. The menus did not mention me or my birthday at all. We exchanged multiple emails prior to the event and had she really forgotten, a simple email to me would have cleared the matter. Just another example of how little consideration I was given through this process. I would strongly caution anyone considering booking a private event here, the space is not actually private, could turn into a nightmare club at any point, and the management’s lack of accountability is the bitter cherry on the cake.

Overall rating: 3.5 Admittedly, I saw this place on Google maps after recommended & it looked very similar to Hi-Lots just in the lower east side. So naturally I just had high expectations for a place that had different intentions. I went on a Thursday night and it seems like it was just opening up from an event. My friend and I arrived at 9pm and the hosts looked very confused. They said they close at 10pm.. on a Thursday and we just wanted to sit at the bar. Also Google shows it closing at 12:30am, so not sure where the disconnect went. There was only 2 people there, so we were like okay we just want to get a nightcap anyway. The music was SO LOUD we couldn’t hear ourselves think. It was more of a clubby music scene which was weird because no one was there & “they were about to close”. The vibe in general was just way off. The drinks have clear descriptions so I was a bit surprised that when our drinks came out- they were both watered down with ice. But the descriptions of our drinks weren’t tiki themed. It was getting so loud at the bar, we just moved our drinks to a table to chat. Overall maybe this is more of a weekend activity, but likely won’t go again. Doesn’t seem worth it to me. And some of these high ratings are questionable.

I hosted my 30th birthday here this past weekend and while I admit I was worried and anxious due to some negative reviews I can say all my worries were relieved when hosting the event. The staff were wonderful the rooms were incredibly spacious for my party and everyone had a blast. 10/10 would recommend hosting here Anna and the host team and bar tenders are true professionals thank you so much for everything. Do not hesitate to book here!!

Amazing spot could not recommend enough! Came with a big group of people for a drink before a night out. Our server had amazing energy and 10/10 vibe. The spot has a bunch of tables for groups big + small. Made a reservation since i came with a big group and absolutely no wait! Drinks were 10/10 + reasonable price. Would definitely come back!

I was out with my friends after dinner, looking for a spot for a chill nightcap. If you live in New York, you know that the lower East side is far from chill on a Saturday night, so finding this place was a perfect dream. My friends spotted this place (which is quite unassuming from the outside) and we approached the doorman and entered this hidden oasis that was the complete vibe. The service was great (shout out to the beautiful hostess) and the drinks were cleverly unique. Highly recommend trying this place before the hype gets out!

A cool bar with eclectic vibes. We were seated as a big group in the front of the bar for a birthday. Cocktails were good, they also have some decent wines. The place is pretty loud and the service was a little haphazard but it was the first weekend so completely understandable -- our entire order was duplicated so we got multiple of the same drinks brought to us but the staff were good about sorting it out! Definitely a fun place which I'd go back to if I'm in the area.

Great spot for drinks and catching up with friends. The bartender was fantastic and so were all of the drinks. I think the drink prices could be alittle lower though
