The 18 Best Restaurants in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

"This is the place to experience San Miguel’s local ingredients at their peak. Áperi’s internationally celebrated tasting menu is exclusively sourced from area farmers and utilizes seafood from the northern regions of Mexico, while the dishes themselves lean Mexican with a few French flourishes. The intimate chef’s table experience at Áperi is another level — just be sure to book far in advance." - Natalia de la Rosa

"Áperi The menu at Áperi features dishes prepared with regional ingredients, which provides a big boost to local producers. Chef Olivier Deboise’s kitchen is famous for recipes like roasted foie gras with mango ate paste, a traditional Mexican sweet; tongue poached in consommé and served with moringa-greens vinaigrette; and, for dessert, a squash-blossom panna cotta with ropope ice ( ropope is a liqueur made with cream, sugar, and eggs). Reservations are necessary—and you can request a seat at the chef’s table for VIP treatment and a five-course tasting menu. Closed Tuesdays."

Google
By far my BEST meal in SMA !! I had the 5 course tasting menu… portions were perfect. Every single dish ranging from seafood to beef was stunning ! Well plated and not overly fancy - less is more. Service was impeccable and attentive yet not intrusive. The evening I went was quiet but I think when it’s fuller it would have a lovely vibe. The outdoor seating was lovely and atmospheric . HIGHLY recommend APERI for a classy and memorable dining experience . Mucho GRACIAS to the chef n team !!!

Google
Get here before they get their Michelin star in CDMX! Thoughtful, elegant, well-sourced. Team was incredible going above and beyond fine dining. Experience is meant for those who love flavorFULL bites. Plates are smaller, but we ordered 4 dishes and were satisfied. An emotional, gastronomical experience that was a highlight of our trip and a special life moment to share. Love and deserved pride collide in these colorful, elevating dishes. Thank you to the Aperí Team!

Delicious Michelin style restaurant! The ambiance is very romantic and relaxing, and the service was amazing.

Google
An absolutely exquisite fine dining experience within reasonable prices and good quantity of food. We opted for the chefs 5 course menu with wine pairings and boy were we right to choose this. As it was explained to us this menu changes frequently and is adapted to daily availability of produce. The wine selection was also exquisite and the pairings were clearly well thought out and executed. My favourite dish on this day being the octopus (pulpo). The service was also excellent and all the waiters were at all times attentive and keen. My only regret is not having done the chef's table booking but this was unfortunately fully booked in advance. All in all a fantastic experience. It is clear why this is the best restaurant in San Miguel. Highly recommended!

Google
Unfortunately, our overall experience left much to be desired. We had made a reservation at this establishment to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday, expecting a delightful dinner given the prices and ambiance. While the food itself was well-executed, the service and attentiveness of the wait staff were extremely disappointing. Despite the restaurant branding itself as a high-end dining experience, it fell short of our expectations. Our waiter appeared rushed and seemed eager to rush us through our meal as soon as we sat down. When we deviated from her recommendations, she responded with attitude, insisting that the chef's recommendation was the only way to go. It was apparent that she lacked experience in providing top-notch service. The flow and grace of the dining experience were absent, with plates and drinks being cleared without asking if we were finished. To make matters worse, the music abruptly turned off just 20 minutes after we sat down, leaving the restaurant devoid of ambience and filled only with the echoes of other tables' conversations. It seems that the manager should consider retraining the staff in all aspects of engaging with paying customers. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend dining at this establishment if you're seeking attentive and genuinely high-end service.

Google
An incredible chefs table dining experience not be missed in San Miguel de Allende. We decided to come here to celebrate my wife’s 60th and my 61st birthday based on the reviews and Rosewood hotel recommendations and everything exceeded our expectations! This private dining area in a beautiful serene indoor courtyard had a clear view into the entire kitchen, Chef Jesús was professional, personable and an expert chef along his fantastic sous chefs and our amazingly attentive and very sweet waitress Daniella. This was better than any of our Michelin starred restaurant experiences around the world. Jesús doesn’t hide behind overly complicated food, his food is delicious and recognizable, his flavours are complex and delicious, every dish was a hit along with expert wine pairing both local and from around the world, of course finishing with a lovely aged port from Porto to accompany our desert. It’s too bad that Michelin has not yet made it to Mexico, we are sure that Aperi would certainly get its well deserved stars! Don’t miss it for a fantastic dining experience that is beyond!

The tasting menu and experience was perfection. Wonderful service, delicious food, and excellent wine pairings. We can’t wait to come back!

Google
Outstanding, clever cooking! Some stunning wine pairings, including some beautiful Mexican wines. The service was impeccable. Its a little off the beaten track and a bit sparse design wise but well worth it if you are a foodie and keen to support a brilliant team. Negative reviews are likely from people expecting a Michelin restaurant or burger n chips?

Yelp
I was really disappointed. I went to an anniversary tasting, five course meal. The food was absolutely amazing. That said, they charged my card twice for a pretty expensive meal. When I contacted them after leaving SMA they refused to credit my card, asking instead for my US bank number and login information. Pretty sketchy and disappointing.

Yelp
This restaurant was amazing! The food was amazing, innovative, exciting, bold, expressive, local had me so inspired and wanting more. My wife and I enjoy the chef's table! We were in the hands of the amazing, charming, extremely comfortable, brilliant and innovative Chef Jesus Vazquez! He made us feel like we were the only ones on the planet. Every dish made you smile from the way they served it with amazing pairings my wife enjoy the wine pairings. I enjoyed mocktails each was bold, but yet comforting! I can't say enough about the amazing staff at this restaurant we look forward to returning and bringing our friends..

Yelp
Aloha, as foodies, when traveling we seek out pre-fix dinners with great reviews. Chef created a well balance meal paired with wines (actually we did get mescal to start, nice). It's interesting to see how so many restaurants around the world are creating basically the same thing, just with different regional flair, a touch of the local spices and ingredients. Being from Hawaii, pacific-rim this and Hawaiian regional cuisine that, is what I know best with chefs who studied French and Italian cuisines and decided to return home. If I had my eyes closed, Aperi's meal really could have been served at my favorite restaurant in Honolulu. Butternut squash soup, sashimi in a sauce (lemon instead of ponzu), grilled salmon, perfect duck and saffron risotto with a dessert paired with wines. Interestingly, although very good, I was a little disappointed. Not with the food, venue or service, but with my expectations. I felt like I was still home in Hawaii, lol. Hmm actually not a bad place to be. Good to be home. Mahalo!

Yelp
We weren't especially hungry and only ordered two small plates and two cocktails. Everything came out in a reasonable amount of time. We thought the food and the cocktails were very good. The service was attentive. The space had some charm with a large tree growing through the dining room. The. only complaint I had was I thought it was rather expensive.

Yelp
Hard to choose with so many options for great eats in San Miguel de Allende. But my sis and I mustered on and found this gem of a place away from the main square but worth the walk. First off, Aperi is such a quaint restaurant set out in simple elegance. Service is almost choreographed to be sure patrons are attended to and made to feel special. Nothing to add but the pics I took of our delicious dishes and libations. Go go go when you're in this part of the world and when you do, 3 words...CRISPY SUCKLING PIG!!!

Robin V.

Yelp
Don't miss this restaurant! The new chef is incredible. Jesus Vazquez Reyna took the kitchen helm two weeks before we dined there. The 5-course chef tasting menu was fabulous! Each dish was beautiful to see and offered complex flavor profiles to delight the taste buds. Reyna uses local ingredients and culturally rooted approaches to fine dining. The staff was friendly, professional and attentive. The restaurant offers a sophisticated, beautiful ambience for a wonderful dining experience. This was absolutely our best dinner in San Miguel de Allende.

Adam B.

Yelp
This was a really stellar dining experience in SMA. We started with really great mezcal cocktails and then had the fixed menu with the wine pairing. All the dishes were really great, and the foie gras "cookie" served as one of the first dishes was amazing. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Last night we indulged in the 8 Course Wine Pairing At Aperi. What a decadent beautiful experience sitting in their covered courtyard until the rain started and we were getting sprayed so they moved us indoor. The staff here cannot do enough for you. The attention to every thing, impeccable I have to say. The eight courses were top notch, one more delicious than the next. The wine pairing were spot on and the wines came from Europe, USA, and Mexico itself. A superb selection. The dress code is casual but trendy, no need to suit or dress up which is nice. This was truly a special night and I highly recommend if you are in San Miguel de Allende and want an incredible experience with food and wine then you must come here.

Rena M.

Yelp
My husband and I we told this was one of the top restaurants in San Miguel. We weren't misinformed. We went with the 8course paired menu and it was a wonderful way to taste the menu and enjoy some local wines. Being from Chicago, the price was fair but definitely more expensive than any other places we tried. We didn't get to try the melted Brie with pastry but the table next to us did and it looked phenomenal and they loved it. Also, if you choose to order al a carte, the dishes are good sizes that can easily be shared. The service was immaculate, knowledgeable , and gracious (as with everywhere in San Miguel). I can't not say a bad thing about Aperi and it's staff. The meal, wine and ambiance I hope to go back some day.

Yelp
This place is quite amazing and a definate stop for "foodies". We splurged on their 7 course food and wine pairing and while expensive especially by San Miguel standards (about $75 per person) it was not disappointing. As you can see by the pictures, each dish was presented in the most gorgeous fashion - and they all tasted quite grand too. The portions were small but actually quite perfectly sized based on the flavors and we were certainly full by the end of the meal - full of wine too. All the wines were made somewhere in Mexico (who knew) and some were quite good (and I live in Sonoma California - so I'm quite spoiled. Looking at the food served at other tables - I think we will eat a la carte next time - so many wonderful dishes to try. This is definately worth a stop while in San Miguel - where there are soooooooooo many places to chose from. Enjoy!

Yelp
Honestly underwhelming, felt a bit rushed and the preparations weren't particularly interesting nor reflective of the region.

Yelp
Sophisticated ambience. Elegant presentation. Quite good taste overall. One of the better restaurants in San Miguel.

Yelp
Terrible service and not great food for the price. We were there last month, April 2023. Although we were handed an a la crate menu, with individual dish prices noted, we were told that we HAD to have the set menu with a "surprise" main dish determined by the chef. We asked two separate waiters whether we could have a la carte and both said no. The surprise dish was over-salted pork and the same for my partner and me - probably the kitchen had too much of it. As we were leaving we checked with the table next to us whether they also had to have the set menu, and they said no, they had ordered a la carts. So were duped as foreigners with limited Spanish, although in an internationally recognized restaurant it should have been clear what we wanted, even with our limited Spanish and with tje head waiter who spoke English. We wrote to the manager later, explainimg the situation, whose response was to invite is back for a free dinner ,which we did not want to do. We wanted a partial refund and the response was a muddled "well, it takes three months to give a refund." For an expensive restaurant surely they need better service, better food, and better response to complaints.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, but pretentious restaurant. Service was fine, but the food doesn't suite the quality of fine dining. Didn't go for tasting menu, rather individual dishes. - Cheese plate was generous and satisfying in its quality - 3 chunks of different cheeses of good quality. - Soft shell fried crab wasn't exceptional in any way, made as in cheaper sea food restaurants, hidden with fancy dressing. - Ravioli wasn't what we expected, served as wide fettuccine like (overcooked) noodles atop a spoonful of cheese - this dish's ingredients didn't combine well. - standard green salad which I cannot even recollect the experience of. - Desert was the almond financier with ice cream. Nothing too bad or too good about it. This place gets mad reviews on every relevant online info site (google, trip advisor, yelp etc) - I assume ppl compare it with the rest of SMAs restaurant scene, as there aren't many places here that tag themselves as fine-dining. To summarize - Nice place for wine and cheeses.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing restaurant, this place and its tasting menu were one of the highlights of our trip to SMA. The food was all prepared perfectly and there were some amazing things on the menu. Their star dish, the smoked beet salad, was absolutely amazing. The tasting menu and accompanying wine pairing were an absolutely amazing value and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone in search of high-quality food in SMA.

Yelp
Great place, fine dining service was on point. All dishes we had were delicious and nice portions. We had Grilled lettuce (incredible) Tagliatelle pasta with sage butter (tasty) Pork belly with mole (perfectly cooked) and ravioli with vegetables (good but a little basic). Desert definitely try the Mezcal baba. One of the best deserts I've had in long time. Refreshing light not super sweet but delicious. Guava cream and the Baba with mezcal we're outstanding. Amazing spot for romantic dinner, would come again for sure.

Yelp
We had a very disappointing experience here. Aside from service (fine) and the location (intimate outdoor area) and the drinks, everything was pretty horrendous. We started with the beef tartare and the charales (similar to smelt) taco. The tartare was overly sweet (think ketchup, sweet soy and maggi), not very tender and lacking any point of view really. The the single taco was filled with small fried (didn't seem fresh) charales fish and I couldn't detect any other flavor. Not gourmet, not refined and certainly a joke compared to any street taco you could find nearby. We decided to keep going, maybe these were flukes. THEN the fun began. We had ordered the baked buratta (already a weird idea because buratta being a watery/milky cheese doesn't melt, it just drains it's own water under heat) and the fried softshell crab. The buratta was basically a soup with some cheese in the middle and a puff pastry top. It was cold--weird because it takes 20 minutes to make--so we really weren't pumped to eat it. The crab tasted as though it had been fried 30 minutes before a left there. It was cold as well, flavors were wrong (one sauce tasted like a fake lemon dessert). Needless to say we asked to send it back. We were going to stay for the next two courses, as we were hungry and it was late, but then the chef came out. We thought he was going to apologize for the cold food but instead he started getting defensive and saying that everything was fresh etc. We were completely weirded out that he was questioning us and getting defensive BUT THEN, he had the audacity to say that he knew it was good because we had eaten most of it. We were all shocked as we had left basically the entire thing on our plates. Needless to say we wanted to leave then and there. The manager came over and was very nice and apologetic, but of course nobody in my party felt welcome anymore and it really left a bad taste. Overall, I would not recommend. It seems overhyped, overpriced and really not a great representation of any specific cuisine. Go down the street El Manantial and eat a great meal in a great place instead.

Yelp
Wow, this restaurant was one giant disappointment!!! We ate here on 1/14/22. The restaurant itself is very pretty but what a miserable experience we had. Things started off decent in that they took our drink orders promptly but then things quickly went downhill. I went with my husband and we each ordered the 3 course tasting menu. I didn't care for 2/3 dishes I ordered. My second course arrived but after 20 minutes my husband's second course never arrived. We finally flagged someone down and asked about where his dish was. They quickly left and fumbled around for the next 20 minutes. In the meantime, no one came to apologize. Instead they avoided us the rest of the dinner. I'm not exaggerating -- it just seemed like they were embarrassed by the mistake and everyone hid from us. We then ate our 3rd course and ordered dessert. About 5 minutes into our desert they told us the bar was closing and then 5 minutes later told us the restaurant was closing. It was about 9:30 or so (not very late at all especially in Mexico) and we were finishing up our wine. I will say that they did comp our dessert but I would have preferred they acknowledged the earlier mistake at the time it happened and then just moved on with the rest of the meal with a normal level of service instead of just avoiding us. We are not difficult at all to please and love visiting Mexico so much but this was such an unfortunate experience. I know it goes without saying but it was not an inexpensive meal either. Otherwise, we have had an incredible time here in San Miguel and all our other meals have been great. This place however is a giant miss and I don't recommend it at all.

Yelp
All 5 Star minus food - 4, had to send back over cooked pasta but quickly substituted with a great trout dish. Frog leg dish to die for. And ambiance - 4, being attached to hotel, there was guest activity in the dining are occasionally. Must get the chef selection. When in Rome do as the Romans do! 4 1/2 stars. Service a 5, cleanliness as well!

Yelp
This is by far my favorite dining experience in San Miguel, and rivals some of my favorite meals in Mexico City. Everything is perfectly plated and tastes as beautiful as it looks. Each and every course of our party of 6 was excellent in every way. The burrata appetizer and the suckling pig were definitely standouts of the meal. I would recommend this to anyone visiting San Miguel as a must eat and blows Moxi out of the water.
google avatar

Margarita O.

Yelp
The food was outstanding and the service was great! The pasta with buey ragu was my favorite dish in the menu.
google avatar

Larry H.

Yelp
All things considered this was a disappointment. One of the priciest meals in town. Half the service staff seems not fully trained, or managed. The other half was professional. Two waiters pulled my plate without asking if I was finished. I had food on my plate, señor. So very annoying. What's the rush?! ASK to pull the plate if there's any question. The wine pairings were poured unevenly on one course. I had the nerve to point it out & the waiter was not pleased. It's portioned! was the reply. Oooohkay. Would it hurt to make me happy?!? Then I saw the waiter talking to another within earshot about my comment, chuckling and looking our way. All that griping said, the park belly was amazing. The outdoor space is minimal yet enjoyable. Would not likely return.

Elise L.

Yelp
Went in with high expectations, having sought fine dining in SMA. Everything was over cooked, and had clearly been sitting under heat lamps. Concept was okay, and setting was beautiful, but the food felt way short. (Sad to have overcooked and chewy wagyu)! Wine pairing was decent until the last course where they served $9/bottle Prosecco.

JC C.

Yelp
Amazing service and meal. I highly recommend. The atmosphere is beautiful. I loved everything about this place!

Mavrikios G.

Yelp
Food was quite uninspired. Service was dramatically late (half an hour for first course, 1h15 for second on a 7 course menu). Most importantly, they almost gave us anaphylactic shock by serving people with acute seafood allergies what else: SEAFOOD! And telling us it is fine to eat! We had to leave before the end of the meal, as did other customers. To top it all off, we all got food poisoning from the meal. Horrendous, avoid at all costs. Any good reviews you might have read concerned the previous chef.

Carter C.

Yelp
This place was the most disappointing experience of our trip. It came highly regarded and we were so excited to try it and were utterly unsatisfied. The service was fine although we had to send the special of Wagyu Beef back because first it was horrendously undercooked and then came back vastly overcooked and fatty. We asked to speak to the manager and he could not have been more unapologetic and did not seem to care at all that our experience was so awful. The Brie is a do not order with just a huge slab of brie on a plate with nothing special. The crab appetizer was fine but nothing special and the fresh salad and burrata were also sub par. We were four women dining together and felt completely disregarded by our disappointing meal. The only plus was the local red wine but otherwise would not recommend or visit again.
google avatar

Camila S.

Yelp
I went for lunch and it was absolutely amazing, the food was not only delicious but the presentation was gorgeous. It was 4 of us and my favorite was the Cochinillo which was one of the best I've had.

roberta h.

Yelp
The place was almost empty Saturday night, for good reason. Host was rude. Our waiter kept pushing us to order, glad we stalled him because appetizers came out quickly after our drinks. I sent my soft shell crab back because it was room temp. We didn't get bread until we got our mediocre entrees. Nothing was particularly good. There were 5 waiters for 2 tables. How can service be that bad for an expensive "fine dining restaurant ". Such a disappointment!
google avatar

Luke P.

Yelp
So we heard all about this restaurant. Michelin star ratings where thrown around, best chef in the world was said. Maybe we have to good of food in Portland Oregon. Maybe the hype was to much in our head. Either way the food was a bit disappointing. Don't get me wrong. The service was great. So what the atmosphere. The food was good not out of this world. That being said I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting smd.
google avatar

Gaby G.

Yelp
Chef Matteo Salas has created an exquisite novel of flavor and excellence in this restaurant, Aperi. We chose to trust the pros and go for the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings - our best decision made so far in San Miguel. Not only was the atmosphere beautiful in modern simplicity, but Chef Matteo popped in on our last few courses to enlighten us on the details of our dish. If you visit San Miguel and don't make reservations at Aperi, not only are you out of luck (because they book up fairly quickly), but you are missing out on the best food in San Miguel de Allende! Can't wait to follow Chef Matteo to his next restaurant!
google avatar

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
Three of us sat at the chefs table and were thrilled by the taste creations and attention to detail that Chef Salas and his well trained staff apply to their trade. I would highly recommend the chefs table for folks who love to cook or just like to watch professionals at work. We had a seven course sampling of the menu each paired perfectly with a beverage. Chef Matteo Salas is definitely bringing Aperi in San Miguel de Allende into the food spotlight. His creations are delicious and beautiful at the same moment. His pairings are spot on never clashing, always innovative! We will definitely be going back to Aperi.
google avatar

Joey S.

Yelp
Arguably the best restaurant in San Miguel. Rockstar Chef Matteo Salas and his team treated our 8-top to the finest dining experience of the trip. Five ordered al la carte, while three asked the Chef to bring us 4 courses of what he felt should not be missed. Fois Gras, Amberjack, Short Ribs, Baby Squid in Brown butter were his selections and we could not have been happier. Other standouts were Suckling Pig and Duck, which were all described as "amazing" and passed around for all to taste. If you are looking for a chef driven A-list dining experience in San Miguel do not pass Aperi up.
google avatar

Judy H.

Yelp
We've been here for 4 days and have had fantastic meals in amazing restaurants but this has been our favorite so far. The beet salad was especially delicious and the filet of sole was delectable. The place has a lively vibe and the service and wine recommendations were perfect. We preferred the inside to the patio and we're glad we did as it suddenly poured rain halfway thru dinner
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Six of us visited aperi for dinner on our last trip to San Miguel, after it was recommended by almost everyone we know in the town. The space was beautiful, the service was great, and every single food item was beyond our expectations. This is really a place where you can go for a special dinner which you will remember for years to come. And, being that we are from NYC, the price was reasonable for the experience. We will definitely be back! One tip: if its rainy season, make sure to get a table inside. The covering over the outside tables doesnt withstand san Miguel downpouring.
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
This place was ok. Very modern interior with funky lighting. The food was decent but there was ZERO ambiance. A little music would have really helped. Otherwise it was dead quiet in a packed restaurant. Excellent wine list! I think 3 stars is a little harsh so I bumped it up to 4 but really it deserves a 3.5.
google avatar

D. G.

Yelp
I had a wonderful meal at the chef table and Chef was an excellent host however they overcharged me $1,050 USD and have not refunded it to my card. I have been in touch with them via email for months. I would avoid eating here at all costs, or else pay cash. Very difficult to deal with.
google avatar

Renee E.

Yelp
This is hands down the worst food experience I have been exposed to. I am more than fine with spending over $400 for dinner for two, but not THIS dinner. The food lacked flavor, the combination of "flavors" left me feeling ill. So much so that my fiancé and I requested the bill half way through the meal and left. The dinner included "wine pairing" for an extra charge, but don't be fooled by what they believe wine pairing to be. Upon being seated we were told we can pick a rosé, white wine, or red wine. No wine pairing, just a wine offering that left a lot to be desired. Perhaps the menu offerings on a regular day are better but for NYE, a disappointment to say the least.
google avatar

cyrus r.

Yelp
Delicious meal in a picturesque setting, creative menu options and flavors with excellent service and accommodating staff.
google avatar

Paula M.

Yelp
This is a restaurant not to be missed. We had the five course tasting menu with the wine pairing and it was superb, both visually and the complexity of each tasting. It was truly our best dining experience we've had in SMA, and there are lots of excellent restaurants here, but this takes the dining experience to another level. Yes, it's expensive for Mexico standards, but well worth every peso. It would easily cost twice as much in the States.

Jerry H.

Yelp
I always have a concern about returning to a restaurant where I have had an incredible experience because no matter what there almost is some disappointment. Well, our meal at Aperi with master chef, Matteo Salas was if anything even better than last year. In fact, I would have to say that it was the best meal that my wife and I have had since we dined with him last year (and in between we have eaten in some of the most highly rated restaurants in NYC). We dined at the chef's table and each and every course was superb, even sublime! The service was impeccable and with each course, Matteo took the time to give us a detailed description of what we were being served. Bravo, Matteo! The only suggestion I would make is to increase the lighting in the room where we dined so the artistic preparation can be better appreciated.

Mary R.

Yelp
I can say its in my top 3 best meals I have had in my life. My husband had the Octopus and he said it could be the best he has ever tasted. The Shrimp pasta was delicious. Even though I expected more on dessert it was still good we had the Mango . If you are in San Miguel this place is a must stop. Definitely will be back for another Pasta :)
google avatar

Barbara H.

Yelp
Disappointed, beef shank was overdone, appetizers were salty or heavy and the main courses were not served hot. Too much time spent on presentation and not enough on the quality of the food.
google avatar

Sergio N.

Yelp
Food was good but not spectacular. The best part was the dessert- which was out of this world. The service still has some work- not stellar for a restaurant of this caliber. Probably would not return.
google avatar

Beto S.

Yelp
One of the best places to eat in San Miguel ! The food is very good but in small portions. The place is nice , no view or anything special but the food makes up for it. Kind of expensive.

Alex M.

Yelp
Really disappointing meal. Food was consistently bland and under seasoned. Pastas in particular should be avoided. The duck was only good dish and not that great. Service was very sporadic. Waiter openly pushed the dishes that weren't selling to the last table that sat down. Very expensive too. Thoroughly unremarkable.

Yelp
This place is quiet and sophisticated. The food quality is great, albeit a bit gourmet and refined. The wine selection is limited but good quality and has interesting international selections for reasonable prices. Its not big portions but high flavor and interesting. A great romantic spot. Request inside seat near the library.

Yelp
Try the Chef's table experience here. One of the best meals and experience we've had. Delicious and fun with an interesting and engaging menu. Not to be missed if you're in SMA.
