Absolutely incredible casual date spot! The food and atmosphere is out of this world! We were lucky to meet the owner and he was so kind and welcoming, gave recommendations on what to try and his favorites. We will 100% be back!

We come to town frequently to visit our folks and I’ve been wanting to try this place! Purchased two of the tea sandwich trios trying all of the flavors but the egg salad. They were all so good!!! Also tried the Prosciutto kisses, strawberry crostinis, sun-dried tomato pesto pasta and natures’s candy! Thoroughly enjoyed it all!!! Delicious. Everyone was very friendly! Will have to try again sometime soon. Will have to try the egg salad next time!

Picked this place out of the blue after seeing it on Google Maps. Fantastic experience overall with tantalizing victuals, engaging staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. Liked it so much we are going back for dinner tonight!!

Beautiful place. Extra friendly staff. Great, quiet place to hang out while eating brunch/lunch type food. Playing light, soft music gives it an even more relaxing atmosphere. Have a glass of wine while eating the most beautiful charcuterie setup. In these pics, you see perfection along with a cracker box (also perfection) making this place “portable” as well.

You can tell everything was made with care — from presentation to taste. Highly recommend! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely amazing. Great experience overall.

Aperitivo is truly a treasure to be discovered. My husband and I went in as first-time diners, not knowing quite what to expect, and were immediately welcomed by Chef Alex and his staff with such warmth and kindness. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel less like customers and more like friends they hadn’t seen in a while. I had a fruit and cheese board that Chef Alex thoughtfully curated just for me, tailored to the flavors I was craving that day. My husband ordered the weekend special Caprese Burger. To say both dishes were out of this world would honestly be an understatement. Beyond the incredible food, we loved being guided through what we were eating and learning why certain flavors were paired together. (And if you’ve never tried chocolate hummus with apples, you are truly missing out.) Aperitivo is small and intimate in the best possible way. We walked in as first-time guests and left feeling like family. This isn’t a place you go to simply to eat—it’s a place you go for an immersive, memorable experience.

Me and hubby just moved to Abilene and we tried this place today it’s so cute on the inside and it’s not too expensive either I would definitely come back I got the salad and my hubby got the Rueben. Staff was friendly and attentive. 💕

Boy Howdy is Aperitivo DELISH! We have been here many times and the food and service is top notch. Sue is such a ray of sunshine every time we come in and all of the staff is so polite and welcoming, feels like coming over to a life long friends house every time we walk in. I highly suggest trying the Italiano sandwich, the meat is very tasty and the veggies are super fresh. Their boards are amazing as well. I would give 6 stars if I could!

I have lived and traveled the world. This crew is fabulous and the food is superb. The lunches are amazing and so are their Tuesday dinners.

If you plan on visiting Aperitivo DO NOT WEAR SOCKS! (As they will immediately be blown off!) As soon as I walked in the door I was transported from Abilene TX to a boutique ristorante somewhere in Tuscany. The vibes were immaculate from the stunning decor to the chill music, it was giving Sunday afternoon on a Friday at 10:00 am. Chef Alex let me sample the Lemon Basil Chicken Salad which was truly elevated and delicious. (Best I've ever had, by a landslide) so I had to order it on the crescent. I also had the Italiano Panini which was an explosion of flavor! It paired perfectly with the cold pasta salad which effortlessly balances flavors of harissa, black olive, and sweet cherry tomatoes with just enough hint of spice to awaken the senses and make you crave more. Chef Alex does not miss! Believe it or not, the most amazing thing about this place is not the ambiance or the food. What drew me in and will keep me coming back over and over again is the fact that the owners Chef Alex and his wife April have captured the feeling you get when visiting a small family owned restaurant in Italy. The personal service, charismatic interaction with the chef, and a sense of the passion they bring to every detail of your experience! Especially the food. They are genuine and hard working and deserve all the success in the world!

This place is small and in an unexpected location, but don't be fooled: Service and food are excellent here. Everything we tried was amazing and be sure to try the deviled eggs and a dessert.

Fantastic food! Aperitivo was open two years before I ever tried it. They specialize in charcuterie boards, but they also have a lunch menu, of salads and sandwiches. The Caprese hamburger, which is only featured on Friday and Saturday, is the absolute best hamburger I have had in I don't know how long. Whatever they season this burger with, the taste is out of this world. On my second visit, my nephew and I ordered the club sandwich and the Reubenato. Both sandwiches were excellent. On my third visit, I ordered two of the small charcuterie boards for my wife and I. The charcuterie boards are a little on the pricey side, but they do have quality ingredients. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday there is a lunch special, which is a sandwich and chips for $7.99. The dining room is very laid-back and comfortable and there is soft music playing. You should definitely give Aperitivo a try!

Great lunch spot! Nice, Comfy seating w cafe music! Fresh and delicious food for charcuterie orders or catering! A great neighborhood addition to dine in and wind down, as well. Alex always has a special to surprise and delight! Today I went in, to find an Egg and Beet Salad Sandwich with fresh fruit and berries! Delicious!!

Excellent fresh foods and drink. Picked it for Linda while she drove. Small and very comfortable.

Stopped in for the amazing club sandwich we saw online. We were happy we did!! The lemon basil chicken salad sandwich was also delicious. I lucked out with dollar mimosas, perfect combo! Its small interior is not an issue when you're enjoying a great meal with wonderful staffing. The owner is ready to ensure you are well taken care of. On our way out I picked up a charcuterie box for 2, also added on the cracker box! Quality meats and cheeses, yum. We Definitely recommend this spot. You can always order to go if needed.

3 stars because of the pricing. The staff (owner) is super nice and welcoming. You can tell he really has a passion for his food. Everything is very fresh has a clean taste to it. Highly recommend if you aren't on a budget.

Amazing menu with very unique choices for Abilene. We had a lemon dill chicken salad sandwich and a club sandwich . Both were delicious! We also had Lattes and we both agreed it was the best fancy coffee we've had! The restaurant is adorable and comfortable. We had great service.

Nice quiet hole in the wall, friendly service, reasonably priced. Food and drink are excellent with one draw back there are only a with few places to sit. Enjoyed every minute we'll be back for more.

Love this place. The food is excellent, the atmosphere warm and cozy. The owner has great pride in his selections and will help you with anything you need to know. The owner was personable, quick and just plain a delight to visit with. We had the deviled eggs, a delight in pink!, yes the eggs are marinated in beet juice to give them this wonderful colour. We had the trio sandwiches, double order for 3, and was more than enough. Big fan of the cucumber. The seating is more like visiting a friend's home, just right for a light treat and a visit. We will.come back.

This spot is always amazing. Super friendly staff who take great care to make presentation and taste always on point. We tried it just as something new in Abilene and cannot stop going back. The fruit is such a cool tasty variety and it's always fresh. The club sandwich is honestly the best sandwich I've ever had. The owner talks to us by name and really goes above and beyond to make our visit great.

This place, the staff and the food is fantastic. You might think, "charcuterie shop? who needs this?" To you out there questioning whether it is worth your time, I say no... It is worth far more than just your time for Aperitivo is not the hero we asked for, but it's the hero we needed.

The best tasting, freshest sandwich that I have had in a long time. A real gem in a town that lacks great sandwiches. Great takeout/ party foods also.
