Steak and fish were cooked very well. Nailed the flavors and the cooking time. Some Appetizers were good but a little underwhelming. Others, were delicious. Overall, a good dining experience

Flavour combinations are really good and plating of the food is really well done, however fire control needs some work and general confidence of the chefs whilst working needs to be improved as the chefs didn't seem to know exactly what they were doing I went back a second time hoping it would have improved but it got worse. I won't be returning because the price is high but the food is sub par

Overall a disappointing experience. We got an assortment of grilled meats and seafood, but everything had the same grilled smokiness and it grew weary after the second plate. The fish collar was arguably the most offensive to us. It didn't taste fresh, and it didn't seem like the best fish for this purpose. Most izakaya will have better fish collar. The beef, venison, and lamb were all fine. None of the meat seemed to be especially seasoned beyond just salt, and all had the same flavor profile. The weak sides and sauces didn't help. It felt like none of the sides and sauces were made to complement the entrees. Surprisingly, the grilled vegetables and smoked dessert were by far the best parts of the meal. But by dessert I was done with the smoke theme and couldn't really enjoy it. Besides the food, the service was curt right from the start. In the middle of the meal we asked to change plates because they were full of fish bones, and the waitress looked annoyed. I guess we need not have bothered, since the rest of the meal tasted the same anyway. There's a 10% service fee. The idea of the grill was great conceptually and drew us to this place, but both the experience and product left us wanting more. There is better food to be had at an izakaya at this price range.

What a terrible customer service experience! Since we arrive (20 min earlier that reservation time) the team ask us to wait outside, was strange because the restaurant was less than 40% of its capacity, so why we could not wait inside? So we argue if we could wait inside, and felt like this was annoying to them. When requesting to wait inside the employee got mad and ask us on a terrible tone “can you guys just speak one at the time” very anti customer service way! All dine experience during the 2 hours was heavy and not friendly. Does not matter how pretty or good the food can be, the customer service and the way employees treat the customer makes the food and environment EXTREMELY BAD! If you like to take pictures regardless the customer service it could be ok (they are better places out there) besides NOT RECOMMENCED AT ALL! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

The food was creative and delicious, especially the shrimp, surprisingly flavorful. Good service and atmosphere. I think they make slight changes to the menu because some things looked different than the photos people have posted.
