The Best Brunch Restaurants in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"This enduringly charming Uptown cottage has an elegant, special occasion vibe while also being lively and inviting. The great brunch drink special, $28 bottomless mimosas and bloody Marys (the deluxe bloody is also a favorite) has been that way for years. The food is on point as well, featuring Southern classics like shrimp and grits, country fried chicken thigh and waffle, and eggs Apolline (biscuit, smoked andouille sausage, crawfish tails, poached eggs, and hollandaise). Best of all, brunch is served Wednesday through Sunday." - Beth D’Addono

New Orleans Restaurants Where Dessert Steals The Show

"Dessert is central at this Uptown Creole restaurant, still the case since the departure of chef Matt Farmer. The flourless chocolate cake with macerated berries and the orange dream tart are standouts." - Gwendolyn Knapp, Clair Lorell

Apolline is a charming little boutique restaurant tucked away on Magazine Street. The food? Excellent. Creative, flavorful, and well-prepared. If your priority is a solid meal and you’re not too concerned with the service, this place might work for you. We called ahead to confirm vegetarian options and made a reservation noting we were celebrating three special occasions. While we were acknowledged when we walked in, that’s where the warmth ended. Our server never mentioned our celebrations and made no real effort to connect or engage with us. The service was blunt and impersonal. One dish had to be returned after just two bites, and we were told we’d have to pay full price for a replacement and we were charged full price for the returned item. The vegetarian option was also charged at the same price as a full omelet—no accommodation or flexibility, just a flat approach. There’s also a 4% kitchen fee tacked onto your bill to "support the kitchen staff." Honestly, I’d rather the meal prices be slightly higher and know the staff is being compensated fairly, instead of feeling like the owners are passing that responsibility onto the diners. Bottom line: If you care more about what’s on the plate than the experience surrounding it—and you’re not price sensitive—give Apolline a try. But if service, attentiveness, or value matter to you, this may not be the best fit.

We visited this restaurant for a delightful dinner and to reconnect with a college friend. The food was exceptional, bursting with flavor, though the portions were slightly modest—still, it didn’t detract from the experience. The service was truly outstanding, thanks to our waiter, Sam. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring our water glasses and drinks were always refilled promptly, which added to the seamless dining experience. The ambiance was calm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a first date or a meaningful conversation over dinner. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent food, impeccable service, and pleasant atmosphere.

Google
We had an incredible Bachelorette brunch here. We were a group of 11 girls and we had a fantastic time. Food, service and atmosphere were wonderful. I ordered the fish and grits and had the waffle. Both very delicious! Our waiter was such a treat and added to the experience. We would highly recommend this place

As a former local, what a disappointment. Brought some friends here as a party of 7 with reservations at 8p. There was only one other table of patrons the entire time. Tables were set with brunch menu not dinner, which they had to swap out. Meal took 2 hours to produce and was incomplete (no endive on fish dish for eg). Server was at first attentive but must have had to make the food himself or something poor dude, very little checking on us, forgot wine, and the dishes were just par. It took so long our kids passed out! Spoke with GM who told me it wasnt his job to make sure we were being served and told me they showed up to work not knowing what ingredients they were out of. I disagree- with 2 tables in the whole place I do think its routine to communicate with patrons. They comped our beverages but honestly its one of the first times I have considered just walking out of a restaurant. I was embarrassed to bring friends here in a city that thrives on tourism and cuisine. I’m not sure what happened here but at $40 an entree theres 100 other places I would check out rather than here. Upside, very charming inside and bartender and server were very nice and apologetic, unlike the manager.

Google
Had the perfect breakfast here. If You're looking to start off a NOLA visit in absolute Flavortown...go here! The seafood chowder was bomb and the namesake bfast dish was literally the best thing Ive eaten in the morning for a looooooong time. Superb dining spot; Especially for brunch.

Google
Very French chic and romantic atmosphere, perfect for a date night. I highly recommend the "Cream of celery root with smoked blue crab" Special along with the Smoked Crab Gnocchi. Sooo good! 😋Also try out their cocktails, you won't be disappointed. I had the "Kiss me through the Foam" cocktail and it looked so pretty and tasted perfectly balanced.

Google
One of our all-time favorite meals in NOLA. Their staff is truly first-class, and all three main menu items we ordered were knock-outs. And the desserts… we’re not sure if they should be legal in all 50 states! 6/5 stars!

Google
A friend and I made a last minute decision to have dinner here on a Saturday night. I lucked up on a park directly across the street and my friend found one a block away, so that was a great start! The restaurant is super cute on the outside and definitely had a Nola feel to it. I didn’t want a cocktail so requested a lemonade. My goodness…it was the most delicious lemonade ever! We received complimentary rolls and garlic butter. Eh, the rolls were just eh and the butter too garlicky. We split the appetizer special which was a baked Brie with crab and a bunch of other stuff. It sounded amazing when the server explained it, but it didn’t taste like it sounded. It was also priced too high for the size of the dish. The menu was limited and I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was surprisingly good and uniquely done. Again, I thought that the serving was too small. Although the ambience and service was nice overall, nothing made me want to say that I would return.

Yelp
Going to Apolline is definitely worth the hassle of parking on Magazine! Haha But seriously, Apolline is definitely one of the cutest restaurants in the city. My mom and I love to just come here and sit for while to eat. We both LOVE breakfast food so it's always a good choice for us. I get the eggs Apolline every time I come and the omelet MELTS in your mouth. It's incredibly flavorful and filling. Of course, you can't come here without getting a good ole mimosa. The servers are not trying to rush you out and they're always so incredibly sweet. I could truly sit in here for hours with my girls or solo. Apolline is a must try!

Yelp
NOLA Chow Down 5 Stars! Apolline is a true gem on Magazine Street! From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were in a cozy home, surrounded by warmth and comfort. The atmosphere is flawless. The food was spectacular as well. The chicken and waffles were absolute perfection. Crispy, juicy, and flavorful, with a side of sweet and tangy maple syrup. We were in brunch heaven! The staff was attentive and friendly, refilling our bottomless mimosas (yes, you read that right - bottomless!) and making sure we had everything we needed. They were the perfect accompaniment to our meal. The location on Magazine Street is ideal, with plenty of parking and shopping to do before or after your meal. We loved every aspect of our experience at Apolline and can't wait to go back. If you're looking for a delicious, comfortable, and all-around fantastic brunch spot, look no further. Apolline is the place to be!

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Friendly service. The seared scallop dish was hands down my favorite of the night. Probably one of my fav in the city. The brioche bread pudding was a nice sweet ending to our night. We enjoyed our little date night there. Definitely want to come back and try their brunch menu.

Yelp
Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Always eat there when we are in the Uptown area. Bartender serves great cocktails.

Yelp
Cute spot. White table cloth. Bottomless mimosas. Pricey. Friendly owner. We were last seated (based on my reservation) for the day prior to 2pm closing on a Sunday. The food was so slow coming out but we enjoyed our time here and our outdoor table. We want to come back to try a fish dish.

Yelp
Such a delicious and beautiful experience!! Apolline is a quaint French-style restaurant on Magazine Street serving up fantastic cocktails and food. We came here on the night of Christmas Eve and had a great experience. Of course, we needed a reservation for such a big night, and I would assume you'd probably need one on most regular Friday + Saturday nights as well. Although we had a reservation, we still had to wait a bit, but I didn't mind as they had a nice bar to wait at and enjoy yummy signature cocktails. This is a wonderful restaurant for a date night or a special occasion. The vibes are very classy and romantic. I definitely recommend getting the octopus + squid ink pasta appetizer! The flavor!!!! So good.

Yelp
We came here for our anniversary dinner a few months ago, and I should have written this sooner. The restaurant has a very nice, comfortable feel. Our server let us know that he was very new--maybe his first night-and he did great. We started with the lamb ragu, which was very good. My date ordered the bass stew, which she loved, and I got the pan seared verlasso salmon, and it was really, really good. We ended with the flourless chocolate cake, and again, delicious. Because I waited so long to do this review, I don't remember enough to say much more than this simple review. But I will say that we wanted a nice, romantic dining experience, and that's exactly what we got. I am always a little reluctant to give 5 stars after only one visit, and that is the only reason this isn't a 5 star review.

Yelp
Ate brunch their yesterday. Service was very slow. I sat over 10 minutes before waitress took my drink order. Eggs Apolline needed more hollandaise for which they charged extra. The poached eggs were barely warm when served. Dish also needed spice so we asked for hot sauce. Flourless chocolate cake was just okay. Will not return because there are so many better places to eat.

Yelp
We got a 6 pm reservation to try the Coolinary dinner. We were seated next to a huge birthday or bachelorette party while the rest of the restaurant was still empty which was irritating because they were so loud we had to yell across the table to be heard. I was actually hoarse after dinner from the yelling. Other than the irritatingly loud group it was an enjoyable dinner. For the first course I got the crawfish carbonara which was absolutely delicious. We also got the wine pairing and it went well with the pasta. The second course was a delicious pan roasted rainbow trout with a roasted vegetable gratin. The skin was nice and crispy on the fish and the vegetable gratin was beautifully layered. This one also had a delicious white wine paired with it. The final course was a chocolate mousse and while it wasn't plated in a very appetizing manner it was very tasty and paired with a sherry.

Yelp
This is a Great dinner experience! The food tasted great! Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked and seasoned! The atmosphere was very quaint and comfortable! The staff were all inviting and friendly! Our waitress, Hailey, was the perfect waitress, very helpful, great suggestions and right on time for refills and the next course! We will be back!

Excellent service , atmosphere and food. We throughly enjoyed our birthday celebration.

Yelp
Had a fine meal with dad at Apolline. The owner Keith was incredibly hospitable and clearly took pride over his business. Service was on point. The food was incredible. I had the scallops, pops went with the lamb chops. The bread pudding really sealed the deal. God bless.

Yelp
The food was great ! We went for brunch. Brunch is only from 11-2 but we got our moneys worth with Sofi :) she was a great server. The ambiance was pretty we sat outside since the weather was great. I will be going back soon. Please try this place!

Yelp
This Magazine Street fixture still rocks. Wonderful late spring dinner. It's becoming our to-go place for seafood in this part of town. The scallops dish is so rich, filling and just bursting with flavor. Great bartenders equal great cocktails. Love the judicious wine list too. Service is top notch, among the best in the city

Yelp
Everything was delicious! The poutine was next level! A must try! The crawfish bisque and duck were also amazing. Really cute date night spot! We sat at the bar as we did not have a reservation and service was good too!

Yelp
This review would be one star if it weren't for our server Hailey, who was phenomenal. Reservation for 5 and we were seated promptly. The restaurant is cute but the acoustics were horrible and it was extremely loud, not just the voices but the music. I'm talking over the top loud. What didn't help was the manager who constantly clomped back and forth between the bar towards the back and the front door thanking people before clomping back to the bar. A relaxing dining experience it was not. I have an allergy to cayenne pepper (yes, I realize that dining out in New Orleans is probably not for me) and when Hailey asked if we had any questions on the menu, I discreetly asked (out of earshot of my friends) which items on the menu would be safe for me to eat. She graciously said she would double check with the chef. She returned and said the ONLY ones to worry about were the arugula salad (as the spiced pecans had cayenne) and the pork chop. Perfect. I ordered the salad minus the pecans and the confit chicken. It was one full hour before we got the first appetizer and/or salad. Obviously they didn't have enough help as there were only two wait persons for the entire restaurant and the manager certainly did absolutely nothing except clomp back and forth. The salad needed salt and pepper which was not on the table, nor offered...I had to ask for it. At 1:55 past the time we were seated, the entrees were finally delivered...all but mine. Hailey double checked with the chef when picking up my chicken that there was no cayenne in it. Ooops. There was...so the chef had to make another one. By the time my entree was finally delivered over 20 minutes later, my 4 friends had already finished. Apparently, the second chicken got overcooked and the chef had to make yet a third one. It was awkward and embarrassing eating my entree while my 4 friends just basically stared at me. Hailey was again very gracious and said that my entree would be comped as well as dessert and/or a dessert cocktail for the table. Good service recovery but not once did the manager come to the table to apologize...he was too busy talking to the bartender, watching tv, and clomping back and forth to the door. Actually, I never saw him visit any table the entire evening...and the restaurant is not that large. The chicken leg quarter had at least 8 small bones in it (odd). On my last bite, the inside of my lower lip was suddenly on fire and I immediately broke into a sweat and my heart rate soared (according to my watch). I got home and still felt like awful. I almost headed to the ER. It took almost an hour to feel semi-normal again. My best guess is there was a trace of cayenne in it. Even with the comped items, the bill was $550.00. The food all around was mediocre at best, and certainly not worth the exorbitant prices they charge. The manager did half apologize as I was halfway out the door. Yeah, like that seems even remotely sincere. We will never return.

Yelp
Went here 3/8 for brunch. Decided to sit at the bar. Order a mimosa, biscuit, grits, and bacon. The biscuit was not to my liking so I asked if I can substitute for toast. The chef was standing at the bar talking to the bartender and the bartender asked him if I could get toast. The chef said "I hadn't cut any" and proceeded on with his conversation with the bartender. The bartenders service was cool. Don't really care for this place anymore.

Yelp
When I was in high school, I auditioned for District Honor Band and made 1st chair alto saxophone in 10th grade. This is relevant because we played a gorgeous piece titled, "Too Beautiful for Words" during our concert. Apolline completely reminds me of that work of art-- gorgeous beyond what any vocabulary could piece together. Our food was DELICIOUS!! The shrimp and grits almost brought me to tears! The eggs apolline as a hash was tasty, yet could've used some kind of sauce to make it perfect. I would 10/10 recommend this place!!! Top brunch spot in the city for sure. It's intimate, beautiful, and the chef is at the top of my list! Go here for brunch!!!

Yelp
OMGEEEEEE SUCH A BLAST! Food and service such a blast! I will definitely be there!!!!!! I love good consistent food and date night or girls night this is my number one choice!

Yelp
This place was on my radar for their bottomless mimosas, but the food and experience was not great. My friend chose to come here for her birthday brunch and our server was super sweet, but the service was not good. Our table ordered two orders of the bacon appetizer because our server said it came with 5 pieces per order, but each plate only arrived with 4 pieces. So were we shorted or was she incorrect? I ordered a cocktail that never arrived, but luckily we weren't charged for it because it was never rung in. Same with my friend and the coffee she ordered - she never received it, but she was also not charged for it. The server was refilling everyones water glasses and when I tried to hand her my glass, she took a dirty plate instead, so I didn't have a cocktail or water to drink. My friend and I each ordered the vegetable omelet and it was really inedible. I'm not sure if the restaurant uses a pre-made microwavable egg patty or if it was egg substitute, but it was shiny and hard like plastic and wrapped around vegetables like a burrito. Do not recommend. I had also ordered the potato hash as my side after confirming it was vegetarian, but ended up with the grits somehow. And I will say, I don't eat grits, but they were actually really good - the best part of the meal. Also, the server handed us our "bill" and it was a pre-authorization slip for someone's Amex for $43. She thanked us for our honesty as she brought our actual bill and it was over $400. I'm sorry to say it, but this was the worst meal we've had in NOLA - and for that kind of money? We shall not be returning.

Mireya G.

Yelp
This place is outstanding, the best French restaurant! The food blew me away. The way the kitchen plays with flavors is amazing. We got the pork chop, salmon, goat cheese tart and the jambalaya dumplings. Insane!! The staff is great and the owner Keith is so kind and attentive. Definitely recommend !

Yelp
The best brunch! I had the shrimp and grits ( the best I have ever had) coupled with the bottomless mimosas. Sofia was the best server and never let my glass get empty. Please visit this gem and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Hmmm... this is an interesting one. First, I was with a large group. 12/13 people. Things took a while, not sure if they were understaffed or just not ready for a large group. We did have a reservation and a set menu so I assume it wasn't a surprise we had alot of people. Service was good the servers were nice. I had a bisque, lamb, chocolate mousse and bread pudding. Food was good, the wine paired with it was also really good. I'm sorta stuck in the middle with this place. Three plus hours and two courses were soup and a dessert is a long time. I do think I would go again. Maybe on a date or with a friend. Smaller group for sure. Cute venue.

Yelp
Beautiful, compact space in typical small Magazine Street house, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Cooper took great care of us and was very diligent in insuring that the kitchen fully understood my wife's dietary limitations. 3 of us split 2 arugula salads, which were fresh and tasty, after which my wife had the scallops with grilled shrimp, prepared with the necessary accommodations, my SIL had the pan seared salmon, and I had the amberjack with zoodles and crawfish cream sauce. My amberjack was slightly over cooked, though not enough to make a huge difference; both other entrees were perfectly prepared and subsequently raved about. We had 2 bottles of Stoller Pinot Noir, which is a very nice Williamette Valley offering, plus an over-the-top wonderful flourless chocolate cake, which pleased all of us, but which was especially appreciated by my wife for its being gluten free. Tab before tip was $290. Highly recommended if you are looking for a non-touristy uptown N.O. restaurant.

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely excellent and you will most certainly not be disappointed. Appetizers include the bacon, that's definitely the must try! In terms of drinks, Sazerac was excellent and endless mimosas were definitely on point. The shrimp and grits were quite good but the eggs Apolline was really hard to beat. Service was excellent as well!
google avatar

Lauren V.

Yelp
Very overpriced for what it is. Crawfish bisque had noticeable amount of cornstarch - too coagulated/waxy. Gulf Fish dish was very small, presentation was nice but not comparable to other competitors in the area and, again, price. The pork chop was tasty/salty (but I like salt). The chicken poutine fries were not good- so confused on the flavor profile, very salty gravy with a fajita flare? I just didn't think apolline delivered and with the prices soooo high, it makes it harder to return and give it another shot.

ashley b.

Yelp
The service was a 0/10. You can tell only 3 people were working there. Every meal was not cooked all the way, chicken served RAW. Easy to say this is my first time going & also my last.

Alexandra C.

Yelp
Cooper was our server and he was very attentive, efficient, and professional. The food was great and the bottomless mimosas are actually bottomless -- no catch. I definitely recommend this place. It was nice inside and they accommodated our big party. Great time!

Yelp
Apolline was wonderful! My partner and I came on a recommendation from a friend for my birthday, and we were highly impressed. If you blink, you will miss the front door. It is very discrete outside, but gorgeous and upscale inside. Our waitress was amazing, and we had a great experience. She knew her wines, was very sophisticated and kind. Dinner was a foodie's dream. The bread was amazing. The appetizers we chose were the Jambalaya Dumplings & the Ravioli. Great decisions! The dumplings blew our taste buds. The shrimp and grits were PHENOMENAL. We both grew up in the boot, and we still stand by that is the best shrimp & grits we've ever had. The special of the day was the lamb - and it was a great choice as well. Mix it with the shrimp & grits? Solid dinner, and we will be back!

Yelp
Brunch is always better with bottomless. I love coming for happy hour so coming for brunch wasn't a bad idea either. Being that most places are still at limited capacity and it was a game day I called the day before to see if they were taking reservations and guess what? They don't on the weekends but if it's slow when you visit won't have any problem. We walked right in and were seated. Our waiter Blaine was the best he kept the drinks coming and great knowledge of the menu and was also patient with a group of women. The menus are paper so you don't have to worry about scanning a QR code and everything you need to know is there. Your spaced out from the next party and the vibe is nice. I ordered the Eggs Apolline with scrambled eggs (chefs kiss) with a side of Belgian waffle YUM! The mimosas were great and from the looks around the room, our waiter was great because it was a splash of ORANGE and all Champagne. He was even kind enough to get us some pineapple so we could spice up the drink. I have no complaints it's great every time I go dinner is up next! #ThankYouThursday
google avatar

Henry B.

Yelp
As all the other reviews said the food was perfect no disappointments. Mimosas were more Champagne than orange juice big W. We got there early because parking on Magazine is just ridiculous. Also super clean bathroom that smelled really good lol.

Yelp
We made reservations for Christmas Eve over a month ago. At the time we didn't realize the Saints had a game the same day. We watched the game in the French Quarter as we always do and decided to just hang out there until heading to dinner. It didn't even occur to us that Apolline isn't exactly a jeans and jersey type place. When we showed up at our reservation time, they sat us in the back by the kitchen. I didn't even think twice about until I noticed everyone else was dressed in Christmas best. I very much appreciated that we were served. Food was delicious, we started with the fried green tomatoes with shrimp and also had the ravioli, both great choices. I absolutely loved the pork chop with fried onions, sweet potatoes and jalapeño, it made the trip uptown totally worth it. The hubby also enjoyed the Veal. I did have a Cocktail the was good although not my favorite unfortunately I don't remember what it was called and don't see it on the standard menu so it must have bus Christmas thing. Service was good although they were really busy and had to wait a bit for the check. Overall great experience, but next time we will make sure it's not a game day and will dress more appropriately. Cute place and delicious food!

Yelp
We came to Apolline for coolinary and ended up getting so much more. We arrived and they took our temperature , and showed us to our table. Nick was our server and was awesome! The bread and butter they brought out was AMAZING, I would buy that bread if the sold it the store. We ordered craft cocktails, I got the mischief managed and my fiancée got the Freda. The drinks were great! We were stuck between coolinary menu and the regular and he suggested we do one coolinary and one regular --which was great. We got the confit pork belly and the buttermilk fried quail. Both were EXCELLENT! The pork belly was succulent moist and crispy. Truly and experience. The buttermilk fried quail was probably my favorite of the night -I'm glad nick suggested both! I do not like greens normally but these were great! The quail breast were so moist and crispy and the hot sauce buerre blanc was awesome. One of my favorite appetizers I have ever had. For our entrees we decided on the beef short ribs (coolinary) and the cold smoked pork tenderloin (regular menu special). The beef was SO TENDER, Idk what they braised it in but it melted in your mouth. There was a turnip purée and chard. I didn't care for the chard -but I'm just not a bitter greens kind of girl. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection as well as the cabbage and sweet potato. Lastly we had the sweet potato tart--it was a cold tart which I wasn't expecting but it was so good!! Perfectly sweet with a nice crust. Service was awesome we will be back! If you go try and ask for nick!!

Yelp
Very limited parking to start. Very limited menu. No specials on a Saturday evening. Shrimp and grits were entree and the shrimp were small and tough and were partially in their shells. Not what one would expect at $25. Had crawfish bisque as appetizer but was nothing like what I am used to. Too thin and strange spices. Only saving grace was hot buns served before the meal with garlic butter and viewing John Malcovich from across the room. Ambiance is very nice inside a renovated shotgun double
google avatar

Yelp
One of the worst meals I've had in a long time and I live inthe neighborhood. Not only did it take forever to get our entrees, even though a couple tables that came after us were served first and the place was only 1/2 full, the food was terrible. My Beeler Pork Chop was cold and overcooked with a disgusting gooey sauce. The scallop dish wastough and had shrimp that were like little balls of rubber. This as echoed by a third guest who couldn't even eat the shrimp. . Felt sorry for the nice young man who was our waiter. They took the pork shoe, not a typo, and one of the scallop shrimp dishes off the tab but in reality the whole meal was a disaster. The chef or manager should have come out and apologized at the very least. No excuse for a higher end lace in New Orleans

Yelp
Last night, I had the Scallops and Gulf Shrimp along with their grits, and It was like I died and gone to heaven! The scallops were super tender and well seasoned with cajun spices + ground pepper! Loved the corn maque choux that came along with it too! The dish was such a huge portion that I brought some home and I am so glad that I woke up to this meal for breakfast, haha! The grits on the other hand wasn't as creamy as I hoped, but still was decent. Oh also, Apolline is one of those restaurants that give you warm bread and butter before your meal... LOVE IT! Definitely need to try their brunch! Heard rave reviews about bottomless mimosas and their food!

Yelp
May be the BEST brunch we've ever had! The chicken and waffles is fantastic! Eggs Apolline was also amazing. The entire experience was superb. Quaint atmosphere, very charming, and great music. This is a must do! Only complaint is the women's restroom door does not lock so be prepared to knock or walk in on someone.

Yelp
A really cute spot for dinner on uptown New Orleans. I've gotten the seared diver scallops, the steamed mussels, and the brown butter & pecan-roasted gulf fish, and all of them have been really good. The scallops were especially good, crispy on the outside and tender and juicy in the middle. The portions are pretty big, too. The brunch was good too, but a bit of a mixed bag. I've gotten the eggs apolline and gulf shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits were really salty, and the eggs had an odd vinegary taste. They were fine, but I would probably return for dinner rather than brunch next time.

Yelp
Came here for brunch with a large group of 7 people. Our waiter was incredibly kind and helpful with answering questions, and great at making suggestions for allergies (gluten and dairy)! The meal was delicious and so were the bottomless bloody Marys!

Yelp
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Wonderful cocktails, friend green tomatoes w egg and shrimp (chef's grandmothers recipe), eggs Apolline, and the breakfast enchiladas. All amazing.

Yelp
Excellent happy hour! We came in a group of 4 on a Thursday evening and it was pretty empty. A few small tables outside in the sun, bright airy tables inside. We got our pick of seats and ordered everything on the happy hour menu -- humongous charbroiled oysters! Boudin balls! Shrimp and grits! Chicken poutine! -- as well as a couple drinks each. Their Pimm's was super refreshing coming in from the hot humid weather. We may have also gotten the soup and a salad, thinking back now.. Then we got what I think were jambalaya dumplings dropped on our table and we looked around confused and asked a server walking by if this was someone else's order and he said "I'm the chef, I can do whatever I want." Well we definitely appreciated and promptly devoured that too before we were talked into getting the bread pudding by our real server (it didn't take much convincing). I'm so glad we got it, it was so decadent. Certain parties in the group were lobbying for a second order but I had to be the voice of reason. We had only meant to drop by for a small snack and drinks before our dinner reservation down the street and then look what happened. HH Tue-Fri 5-6p. $2 mimosas, $4 beer, $5 house wine, $6 classic cocktails, $6 small plates. Do it. Super enticed by their popular brunch and "drink fittings" too.

Yelp
Came here for my friends birthday dinner. We were a big group of 15 so with that in mind, the service was great and very accommodating. We were pretty much the only group in the restaurant. The cocktails were great and came out quickly. We had the pork belly app and it was delicious! The entrees are where things went south. Most of us ordered the pork chop which tasted a little overdone. It was good but not great. The scallop dish was also underwhelming. One of our friends ordered the salmon dish, but they were out of salmon so she subbed for another fish. It was inedible and I ended up sharing my dish with her. Apparently the veal was the best dish on the menu. We had a good time but definitely weren't blown away.

Yelp
This is a quaint little breakfast spot with great service! The food was just ok to me though. I ordered my meal a la cart with eggs, potatoes, and a biscuit. The eggs and potatoes were pretty good but nothing special. The biscuit was a bit to dry to me, had to add a lot of butter and honey to it. My friend got the waffle and said it was really good!

Yelp
A must try. From food to service, everything here is 5stars. We enjoyed the maple pecan bacon for an appetizer, brunch burger, eggs apolline, flourless chocolate cake, and bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary's. It was rich and decadent and romantic. All the things you want from a good brunch spot. I will definitely be back. We felt safe. Everything was cleaned and sanitized regularly. The restrooms were spotless. The decor was lovely. I hope to eat on the porch next time.

Yelp
So with Mardi Gras 2021 pretty much cancelled, one of the few true pleasures left for Nola folks is eating great food (which we are VERY thankful for!) We've been making the rounds of amazing restaurants, and heard positive things about Apolline from everyone we met. So, brunch on Friday of Mardi Gras weekend it was! The staff follow all safety protocols, and we felt 100% comfortable dining in - distancing, masks, sanitizer available, etc. We ordered a few of their craft cocktails to start (the Old Cuban and the Main Squeeze, both delicious), and then got a starter of their charbroiled oysters. We've had a ton of charbroiled and chargrilled through the city, and these didn't disappoint. Super tasty, and not overly filling. Highly recommended! For main courses, we got their pork enchiladas and the "brunch burger". The enchiladas were tasty, and a TON of food. The eggs were done perfectly, and the sauce was not spicy (I was hoping for a little MORE spice, honestly). The standout, though, was the burger - it's just amazing. When I come back, that's the MOVE for sure! Lots of burgers out there, but this one was right up there with the best of them. We grabbed a few Catahoula Common beers to sip as we finished up - their beer menu is small but very good. Our server, Nikai, was also just fantastic - very attentive, super friendly. We'll be back for sure!

Yelp
what The restaurant food is amazing, our server, Ashante (ash?) was terrible. we saw him only to get orders and bring some of our food. Johnathan poured all of our drinks and brought our food out. He refilled out water and bottomless drinks until we left. Ash ignored us the entire time and watched Johnathan wait on us and did not apologize to Johnathan for fixing our drinks. We were at the restaurant for about 2 hours. we waited about 10 minutes before our drink orders were even taken. Ash ignored other workers take our orders and refill all of our drinks even until we left the restaurant. We had about 3 people wait on us besides our server Ash. I have been to this restaurant before and had amazing service and chose to bring friends back who did not have a good experience

Yelp
This place was a disappointment. Not only was the food ok but we waited 20+ minutes between courses. We got the jambalaya dumplings and grilled octopus- which was 2 pieces of calamari in squid ink pasta. We also got crawfish bisque and fried green tomato. Grilled lamb and fish dish. Sorbet and bread pudding. Small portions, not tasty. Won't be back.

Yelp
Appoline's is the cutest little restaurant. It definitely has a warm and elegant Sunday brunch aesthetic so it's perfect for an after church outing or just dining out with friends and family. Our party of 9 was seated as soon as we walked in without a wait which is always a plus! I started with a pineapple mimosa which was really good but you have the option to do bottomless. I ordered the Eggs Appoline which is like a New Orleans twist on the traditional Egg Benedict. It came with andouille sausage and crawfish tails which made the meal taste really good, however I think it could've been seasoned a little more and the biscuit was a little tougher than I usually like. I would give them a 4/5 because the overall experience was really good for me.
