apothéose

"The precepts of apothéose are a trinity: ‘respect for French culinary culture; a deep spirit of inquiry into Japanese ingredients; and devotion to knowing the present moment’. The sights, smells, flavours, even the acoustics of the dining room resound with the natural métier of the producing regions. Meat dishes occupy the middle course, complemented by rice dishes to enhance the impression. Willingness to experiment, unconstrained by convention, ensures customers understand the joys of food." - Michelin Inspector

Wonderful & unique French dinning experiences with spectacular views of Tokyo. High culinary skills and food presentation especially the first few courses & desserts. However, the wagyu’s not tasty & without much aroma. Also the accessibly of the restaurant definitely needs to improve. It affects the customer journey indeed.

Went there with my girlfriend on our trip through Japan - It was definitely one of the best experiences, both for the food but and atmosphere but definitely also for the view. We took the full 9 course menu with the local wine/sake pairing and would recommend :-) We got the table for 2-4 persons - If you are only two persons book the table for 2 persons since they have the best view by far.

I went to apothéose to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed every part of it. Our table had an amazing view of the rainbow bridge and we could also see the Disney fireworks from far. The course was excellent and is a great interpretation and combination of French and Japanese cuisine. I particularly loved the rice broth and the pie. The non-alcoholic pairing is quite interesting. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming throughout the entire meal.

Had the most amazing dinner at Apotheose! The food was so incredible I had to write the review immediately. The restaurant decoration was beautiful, modern and artistic. All the dishes were spectacular. The bottle of wine recommended to us by the French sommelier was absolutely delicious too. I had their normal course (instead of short course). And I am so glad I chose the full course because I cannot imagine missing out on any of the 9 dishes served. In most fine dining restaurants that serves full course dinner, there is 1 or 2 dishes that is not amazing. But tonight every single dishes were perfect and memorable, and together the whole course was like a magical adventure. The plating was a work of art, and the flavours were so on point. Service was also the best (thank you Sato-San) I highly recommend Apotheose to anyone in search of incredible food, and a wonderful evening. I truly think it is definitely one of the best French restaurants in the world.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and made me feel at ease during my dinner. As it was my first experience at a Michelin-star restaurant, I was a little nervous, but I ended up thoroughly enjoying it. The food exceeded all expectations—it was truly next-level. The location, along with the view from the window and rooftop, was absolutely breathtaking. I can't wait to share this experience when I return to Melbourne and spread the word to our customers at the café and restaurant. I wish I remembered his name… the staff who served us… Japanese male staff. If it wasn’t you … we wouldn’t enjoyed this much. Thank you so much.

Amazing dining experience. It’s on top of one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo so you can get a great view. The restaurant smells great, very woodsy. I enjoyed the bread, the duck, the cold noodle dish, and the dish that reminded me of congee. Oh also there were 3 desserts in the end of our course and they were all delicious. Special shoutout to our French Sommelier who was friendly and did an excellent job providing backstories to each wine in the pairing.

From the first to the last moment a truly wonderful experience. Of course, the setting alone is breathtaking, but every detail of the restaurant and meal is beautifully conceived and executed. The dishes are delightful and delicious, with wonderful flavors and pacing. While recognizably French, the menu has an exciting global perspective. I think this is a course that would be easy for anyone to enjoy. The hospitality matches the menu and is at the top level. Overall this is one of the most exciting new restaurants I have had the pleasure to enjoy in quite some time. I strongly recommend apothéose and will certainly be back.

I was visiting Tokyo and wanted to try something good, and I found this restaurant in the michelin guide The beautiful name drew me in at once and I decided to go It turned out to be a great decision, because the food, the service, the ambience, and the aesthetic was amazing! They don’t just nail the grand scheme of the experience, they also add small touches of mindfulness that could easily be missed if you don’t pay attention. For example, after I noticed something special about the hand towels, I was told the fragrance was custom made! The subtle scent really set the stage for the sweet desserts that came after 😋 I couldn’t believe this was rated as one star in the michelin guide because it easily exceeds two and three star restaurants in NY and SF! Definitely an experience to have!
