Have been meaning to try this place for ages now as I've popped into the shop from time to time. The menu has always looked incredible.
Finally managed it! And wow - the food was just fabulous. Steak Tartare / carpaccio...followed by a 1.4kg fore rib steak (I shared, no-one panic!)
It's a lovely little spot, and sat in front of the butcher's display cabinet gives a little special feeling about the place. Not so much the cosy basque-restaurant thing you might sometimes be looking for, but still very nice and different to most places.
Service was exceptional from some very attentive and engaged staff who helped explain the different meats we could see and then choose from. Fun and lively chat and excellent service all round really.
Definitely going back. And the butcher's counter is calling me back to cook at home too!
