Apple Barrel Orchards

Visited here on a weekend getaway with the better half. Allison and Mike were extremely welcoming and super informative on all of their ciders. Their ciders were the best that I have had, which speaks volumes when comparing to the bigger guys. If they have the Crab Apple cider, you absolutely need to try this in addition to the other 3 award winning ciders they have created. Allison took the time to show us all of the best local spots to visit in addition to the stop at Apple Barrel. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Hands down the best ciders I’ve ever had! Allison and Mike were truly amazing—so welcoming, incredibly helpful, and full of great local recommendations. Their small business radiates warmth and heart. We’ll absolutely be back for the U-pick grapes and apples!

Why has it taken so long for someone to figure out Concord makes a great cider? 👏👏 This stuff is amazing! 💯

Stumbled upon Apple Barrel Orchards on our way back from Keuka Lake State Park. Lovely place. The staff were super friendly and helpful. She washed our peaches for us so we could eat them on our way back! The peaches were delicious!

This was an awesome spot for the whole family. We went Apple picking with my 4 and 2 yr olds and they crushed it! They have wagons that held both our children and apples galore. Friendly staff at check out too! Very patient with a 100-questions curious four yr old. Will def be back next year (or again this year if we run out of apples!)

Excellent apple picking and some outrageously good cider. Very affordable tasting flights, and quite a few other really nice stuff available for purchase

Lovely cidery with amazing cider and friendly owners! I went there when I was in town for the eclipse (a big cloudy there that day unfortunately), but I'd go back any time. I think the concord was my favorite, but everything I tried was amazing.

So much fun to come here during the fall apple harvest. (Also you can get fresh Concord and/or Niagra Grapes to munch on). Beautiful, a bit touristy but so much fun. Cider tasting, too!

We made a stop here on our way through the Finger Lakes. The barkeeper, Dan, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. All ciders were great and the apple cider doughnuts some of the best we had. Great place!

Best ciders in Penn Yan! Owners we're incredible and the area was beautiful. Favorite cider was the Concord Grape. But to be honest, every cider I tried was great. You definitely want to get a flight (even get a full glass or two.... Or three )

Me and my boyfriend stopped here because we were in town for a wedding and it was so cute and fun!!! The orchard is beautiful and the prices are pick your own is great.

I've been coming here since I was kid. Love the apples and the prices are good too. They have my favorite varieties (Macs, Empires, and Northern Spies) and I made sure to pick up a couple bags while I was in the area. They have a truck schedule where you can buy apples in various local towns.

The perfect spot to pick apples! The prices are amazingly cheap and they have a good variety of apples. We had no problem finding what we were looking for because the signage is great. I was a little annoyed because the woman who told us where to go basically said they'd be out of the apples we were hoping to pick. But when we got out into the orchard, we didn't even have to use a picker to reach the apples. During COVID we were easily able to stay away from others, even with the parking lot full.

We will be back. Next year. A wide variety of apples. Quite cheap by comparison to store prices. All in a beautiful setting

The apples were definitely 5 stars. The property is beautiful, the prices are great (compared to what I pay at stores in Austin) and *most* of the employees were friendly and helpful. The women helping out in the fields was showing my five year old the grapes and letting her sample the concords. The lady cashing us out however was so rude and miserable next time I'll take my kids and family to another U Pick farm. I have never had a cashier be so rude.

Great U-pick farm that is located close to Keuka Lake. Excellent apples, grapes, and baked goods. Would recommend to anyone of all ages!

Great apples for the best price we've found in Finger Lakes & Syracuse area! We will be back!
