Applebee's Grill + Bar

Stopped in for early dinner. We love the half off apps happy hour and made it just in time. We were seated right away and got our order taken quickly. The food came out hot and fresh. Our server was very attentive and friendly. This location is great as we can do all our shopping after getting lunch or dinner. Will continue to come here!

I am shocked I haven’t left a review here sooner! My husband and I come here twice a week just to see our favorite server Travis. He knows our drink order, what sauces we like, how we like our burgers, and what our favorite items are. He always puts a smile on my face, and the minute he sees us come in our drinks are always ready. Travis is personable, and will make you laugh. He’s quick, and I’ve never had to wait long for food. We always leave with empty plates and full stomachs.

Curb side. I ordered my 6oz sirloin well done. I get home and it's medium the whole steak red inside only the outside layer was browned.

Ordered a to go steak with fries and a milkshake. Picked it up and asked why the milkshake cup wasn’t filled (it was like 1/2 full). Bartender “rudely” said “it’s a kids drink” … she was wrong. She remade it and that took a while. Got home and my medium well steak was mooing at me. I had to cook it myself more at home. Definitely defeats the purpose of ordering out. Won’t be going back. Also the floors looked filthy when I was inside. Applebees is not what it used to be.

Chloe was amazing as my waitress. The food was fantastic as always. The staff I interacted with was also wonderful.

Your 220 Tallmadge Road Kent, OH location was Great. The mid afternoon (2:30pm arrival)atmosphere was fantastic. The food was very good with the steak being cooked to perfection, but the absolutely best part of our experience was our server Keiana N. We could not have asked for better service, she was extremely polite, very knowledgeable, highly professional, and a joy to talk to with a very wonderful and engaging personality. We have had very poor service at other restaurants but this was a truly great experience and we look forward to visiting your Kent, OH restaurant in the near future. Thanks again Keiana, you did a GREAT JOB!

Forget ever getting a burger pink and juicy. This winter I have ordered a burger three times. Each time cooked dry and well done. This is my last time. This time the cook had to massacre the burger, I assume to make corporate safe from selling contaminated beef. One slice of tomato, one ring of onion. On a positive note there were several slices of pickles.

I usually come to this franchise once in a while, but out of all of the Applebees in my area, Brimfield is the best in quality, service, and environment. I occasionally come around 1:30 to pass busy hour so it’s much more calm. Wait time isn’t affected though, so don’t expect food service to be quicker at quiet times. The best deals are the 2 for $28 or 2 for $32 (highlighted on the back of the menu). If you’re new to Applebees, I highly recommend Fiesta Lime Chicken & Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp with the Spinach Artichoke Dip as your appetiser. (Photos also feature Plain Boneless Wings with Ranch (Appetiser), 4 Cheese Macaroni & Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken, and Whiskey Bacon Burger.

Food was great, drinks were great, service was great! Our server Daeveon was amazing and perfectly attentive! We were never waiting for him to come back. Not too loud at all and a great music selection! Thank you Daeveon!

While being extremely short staffed, the service was great & the food was exceptional. We revisited this restaurant because we had such excellent service on Veterans Day! The fiesta lime chicken is out of this world!

If I could give this location zero stars I would definitely do that. We had to wait 20 minutes just to get our drinks and there was no silverware provided. Cici is an absolute disgrace to the food industry and a deplorable waitress. The salad was made incorrectly and Cici really didn't care. All she did was spend time at the computer putting in orders and cashing out tables. Her level of professionalism or lack thereof is disgusting and an absolute disgrace. I remember when Applebee's used to be a good restaurant but now it's gone straight downhill into a never ending dark abyss. Cici would be a better employee for a McDonalds where you can be lazy and not get fired. She never once asked "how is your meal" or "may I get you any refills?" Then Cici said that our bill was discounted which it definitely was not based on the overall price. I will definitely not be visiting this location ever again and I strongly recommend nobody goes to eat at this location. Cici does not care about any of her customers. She is absolutely horrible!

Very consistent on not getting curbside orders correct. Once again (my fault also for not taking everything out in front of the lady to check it) I get home and we are missing half our stuff. We are done with this restaurant. Please check your curbside orders before you leave.

Took my father to eat at this location this evening. First, the negative: after being seated by the host we didn't have anyone come to take our drink order for about 8 minutes. It wasn't very busy, so I wasn't sure what caused the delay. However, as we waited for the food it became clear that the restaurant seemed to be short-staffed, so much so that despite being perhaps half-full at best, there was a significant wait for those just arriving (45 minutes was given to one person that called in). All in all, the wait was understandable considering the staffing issue. Now for the good: I ordered the 6-ounce sirloin with mashed potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked and I was provided almost enough A-1. My father ordered fish and a baked potato. They looked pretty good, as well. Finally, we were served by Allison, who was extremely kind, friendly and upbeat. Overall, it was one of my better experiences at an Applebee's.

I don't come here if I want a cheap drink but can't go wrong with their quesadilla burger. Sometimes it's busy and has a wait but never had anything but good service.

There food is trash you have to play with your food just to be able to eat it they never know how to make there food always forget something they gotta be the worse Applebees around I got tacos and the limes were coved in the tacos sauce couldn't even taste the lime after I used them cause of that the Tacos meat wasn't even in the tacos it was damn near everywhere but I'm the taco no cilantro or anything they suck

The server Alex was the rudest server I've ever met. I will not be returning to this location due to her and the bartenders disgusting attitude and vibe towards me, not like they'd give a shit anyways. Caused me to have a full blown anxiety attack and didn't even get to enjoy my food.

So this is our local Applebee's and we've been here at least 20 times since they opened, yes we remember it being built. With a family of 5 we can normally get out at about $70 including tip. Is that cheap, no. Is that expensive? I don't know is $14/person expensive w/tip?We feel for the price we are paying, it's a five star experience. We all enjoyed our food and Kyleigh always does a fantastic job. Great job guys!

Went for lunch Saturday the 22nd. I got the crispy shrimp with fries- shrimp sauce was nasty & tasted like old refrigerator stuff. The shrimp you could even see it was frozen, also horrible. Spent $40 on 2 meals & their meal was horrible also.

This some of the most OVER_SEASONED_FOOD you will find anywhere. Only get the salads. I don't understand the concept of deep fried and then dumping syrupy sauce on top. Who eats like like?!

This Applebee's seemed pretty great. The staff were professional and courteous. Good vibe. The Classic Combo appetizer sampler was good. Although, the this sampler, like the full quesadilla, needs to include sour cream for the quesadilla. I didn't realize it didn't. Good visit.

long service to get food but good food overall i'd definitely eat it again but they forgot my order

I'm currently inside this location. I have been here for over and hour and still have yet to receive my meal. They ran out of wonton tacos. The kitchen can't keep up since they decided to start Door Dash and all of the patrons who come out to sit and have a meal are left to suffer because of it. I can imagine this is affecting their waitstaff's tips because people are waiting much longer for food. This is absolutely ridiculous and this place wasn't great before this.

The waiters are super nice the food is diliucuis I recommended that stake best food I I've had in a while.

Awful food awful service. Very slow service server very unprofessional. The goriest long green fingernails I've ever seen. Will never go back

Terrible experience and unfortunately not the first. I hadn't eaten at an Applebee's in years as I got sick of the prices going up and quality going down. Decided to give it another go with my brother. Got an order of hot wings. Service was very slow, but I get it, things get busy. Asked for extra bleu cheese. Got ranch. Told the server it was ranch, he took it back and brought out another cup of ranch. Grabbed him and told him again and he told me that he poured it from the container marked bleu cheese. Tasted it again to make sure and it was definitely ranch. Took that one away and came back about 4 min later with a thing of bleu cheese finally. Unfortunately by this point the wings, which I can describe as mediocre at best (not even close to hot), were cold and soggy. On top of everything, we were playing with the small tablet style computer on the table and checking out everything it did since I have kids and thought it was a good idea. I checked every app I went into to make sure there were no charges attached. At the end of the meal, we got our bill and there were charges for two camera things we did with the tablet. I again checked and no where on the app did it say there would be any charges. We told the waiter and he just took them off the bill, which was good, but he did it very quickly without ever even verifying, which made us feel like he gets this question or issue all the time and automatically just removes it. If we didn't really look at the bill, we would have never noticed. And I'm sure some have been charged and not noticed. Overall, Applebee's in general has just gone so far down hill I can barely recognize it as the restaurant I used to love. I would not recommend.

Horrible food ordered potato soup and got potato purée for soup and super watery . When talking to the manager he said the potato soup really has no potatoes it's more for flavor ? Wtf I ordered a Caesar salad as well and barely got any dressing . Get it together Apple bees you guys suck .

My daughter left her toy there. Went back and they threw it away. Who throws childrens toys away?

I'm usually not to keen on chain restaurants. However; this particular Applbees has a real neighborhood friendly feel when you are here. The staff is wonderful.

Food was ok, but lunch fish and chips with a Pepsi was $16.50. Crazy price for the quality. My real issue was the server, Sari. Very sweet, but two things--(1) she was wearing a very sweet, overpowering perfume, possibly vanilla, which took over the taste and smell of the food; (2) she continually called me sweetie. I absolutely HATE being called sweetie by employees of any establishment. I'm sure she had no ill intent, but it is condescending. Sari is a good server, but management, you have to work on those two issues with her.

This Applebee's suffers from slow service. Our server was a big dude. When he finally brought our meals, I felt like he was throwing the food at me. I ordered tomato basil soup. It tasted good but was served at room temperature. I also ordered chicken quesadilla. It was good, but the salsa was muy caliente. My dining partner ordered French Onion soup. It was hot and tasted great. She also ordered a garden salad. It was colorful and fresh.

Ordered late and I messed up the order. Thought it was for tonight, but it showed it to be for tomorrow. Damn I am hungry now! So I go over and they were really awesome and accommodating. With 30 minutes before closing, they said they would make the food for me fresh if I still wanted it. They were out of soup and so they offered to let me come in tomorrow and get it. I asked if I could just substitute since I had prepaid. They were cool with that. Never been here before even though it's like 1/4 mile from me. Great customer service. Pretty hopping with groups. Not heavy bar activity.

Got surprised by dinner when I got home.The steak was ordered medium well and I couldn't cut it with a knife and fork (Over cooked).Onion rings were a side order,Under cooked tried 3 different rings and each was doughy, Baked Potato was still half cooked even after I put it in microwave to cook it longer.He ordered the 3 cheese chicken meal and it didn't look close to picture,chicken burnt chicken and elbow noodles were hard. Would we order from here again?Nope...3rd Bad experience in less than 90 days!

Horrible Applebee's Air conditioning on too high - very cold Sit at table and the trivia games are pay only instead a free thing to pass time while waiting or occupy children Waiter forgot any extras we asked for Manager came out to table next to us stating they've run out of 2 for 20 steaks, and rather than offer a larger steak in place, she insisted they pick something else Empty plates, soup bowls and appetizer dishes were not cleared from our table until the meal was over Food was not bad, but very average Wouldn't come here again P.S. Waiter brought us the wrong check at the end of the meal.....

VERY slow kitchen. Returned cedar lime chicken, it was mushy and tasted like cough syrup. No manager came tok talk about that. Had to ask 3 times for coffee refill. Paid with paper gift card money. Bill was $30, used 2/$25 papers. Was told by asst mgr they don't give back the difference. General manager finally came out and fixed that but too late. Poor experience today.

I want some water and the server just ditched us super pissed. I need h2o like why can't I be hydrated. My friend said the salad taste like Cinnamon.

I will say the wait staff was very good , but that's where it ends. They charged about $5.00 for generic box macaroni and cheese. Dry and almost crunchy as it was undercooked. Steamed broccoli was from frozen. I had the burbon shrimp and chicken. Odd that the shrimp was cold and was supposed to be grilled. The chicken wasn't fresh. It was grilled and very dry. The sliders were like hockey pucks. I would have been refused to pay but worried the wait staff would be the losers and the food would remain the same.

Came in with my family of 4 on a very non-busy Sunday afternoon. Waited 15 minutes...never greeted by a server. Let the front entrance person who sat us know...and still never greeted. We ended up simply walking out. Very poor service.

Went here last night at 12am and received the best service I've ever had. I was afraid they wouldn't serve us because it was late but it didn't even phase them. Our servers name I think was Travis. He was a very kind gentleman who made us laugh and was extremely attentive. He was very helpful and made it a fun dining experience. I loved that he was social and made jokes. He even taught us some math! He was perfect! The food was quick and delicious. I will definitely be going back for more.

I had started to really stray from Applebees---but they have revamped the menu in a great way....though the revamp did raise their prices slightly. We like to sit at the bar as usually there isn't a wait and the service is faster. I love their french onion soup and wedge salad.

Prompt courteous service. Great menu with lots of choices. Best of all...good food.

Swore off ever coming here again a year ago now I remember why... Bad service slow service and mediocre food. Boring and too pricey for quality. Damn commercials do a good job making this crud look good.

the drink was weak, possibly forgot to add alcohol. Shrimp was cold, not cooked to order. did not offer the military discount until we pointed out that Applebee's advertised one. I sent shrimp back and the problem was corrected but did not receive my dish until my date was half way through his meal. I'll skip their drinks from now on. Josh, our waiter, was accommodating, restaurant was clean.

Its an applebees. Go somewhere else. Slow service and flat beers. Good for a quick lunch but better dinner spots are walkable.

This is easily my favorite Applebee's. The service has been at least solid but most of the time above average the food is right on par and even when busy comes out in a timely manner. They only thing to be careful of is on Friday nights during high school football season the place is PACKED with high schoolers it gets loud and obnoxious quickly

I genuinely like Applebee's so it's not a stretch for me to give it 4 stars. Rhonda, the manager checked on us twice......before we ordered and as we ate. Our waitress was outstanding.......attentive, friendly, but not overly so. My whiskey barrel sirloins were cooked to med well perfection. I know there have been some bad reviews here at the Brimfield Applebee's, but I've eaten here twice on visits to Kent and have not been disappointed.

Honestly if you ignore the aroused minotaurs and random holes it's honestly pretty great for an Applebee's. If you like eye candy there's this gorgeous blonde hair blue eyed hunky waiter... Christ he's such a hunk... I'd fluff his pillows if you know what I mean.

Our server was somewhat a dumb ass and not very good. Drinks sat empty appetizer was never delivered. I probably won't go back to that AB when we are in the area...

Food was great, ordered the sirloin was cooked perfectly. They have a great 2 for 20$ deal for you and your date! Only con was it was really cold inside.

Went there a few months ago and they messed the order up. Medium-Rare steak came out more than well cooked. Tried it again on the off chance that this might have been a one off and when a burger was requested with cheese only and it came with the works the waiter did argue that we didn't request it. The manager did give us a free dessert.

Ordered food for pick up and completely messed up our order. Asked for the burger to be cooked medium rarr and with bacon. The burger was given to me was cooked well done with no pink and also no bacon. When looking on the recite the phone number was also not listed so unable to call and complain. Also the blonde brownie dessert the brownie was NOT heated. Will never return or go to another apple bees again. Go to Buffalo Wild Wings instead.

Ehhh. I always dislike going to Applebee's unless my family wants to go so I just go to enjoy their company. Went last night. Ordered the pick 3 sampler. I tried the wonton chicken tacos (they were gross and greasy). I also tried the brisket nachos (tasty but the tortilla chips were so thin I couldn't grab one without it breaking so I ate the whole thing with a spoon). Last, I tried the s'mores churros. These had a good flavor but were overcooked and cold by the time I got them. The chocolate sauce was chocolate syrup straight out of the Hershey's bottle. Not very pleasant. Our waitress was friendly and refilled our drinks quickly. This is the first time I've been to Applebee's since they got the tablets on the tables that you use to pay the bill with. You can order on them too. We refused to use it because we felt strange about the tip situation. Why should I tip the waitress 15% minimum if she doesn't take our order or handle the bill at the end? Seems weird.

I was at Applebee's tonight. They made our food wrong and rebrought it poorly made. We now all suffer from terrible gas. I bet starving children in Ethiopia get better food than what I experienced tonight.

My family and I went there for my birthday dinner. I really enjoyed the food that I ordered. If you're expecting to get blown away by the superior food that's not going to happen. They have good food not great food. Our waiter was super nice. I would definitly go here again.

I don't care for this place at all. Service sucks and flat drinks every time. Food is rarely good. Steaks or under cooked and are rubber-like. Go somewhere else.

We have always been fan of Applebee's food. Their drinks and desert's are expensive though.

I came here with my friend on a Tuesday night. They were NOT busy, I know how being busy is considered, i work at a restaurant. We had horrible service. We waited 10 minutes at the front, while servers looked at us and walked past us. When the person came up to us to seat us, we didn't even know we were being sat because he just took menus to a table without saying anything to us. We figured it out when we saw him glaring at us for not following him. When we were sat, it was another 10 minutes before we were greeted. My friend and I both ordered water, which took another 10 minutes. When the water came, there was literally things floating around in it. It was disgusting. Our food also took forever and came out cold. I had the 4 cheese Mac and cheese and there was not any sauce on my noodles. When I asked for a side of it, she told me she would have to change me $3. I told her there is literally no cheese for my pasta why would I be charged? She gave me a nasty look and said she wouldn't change me. She didn't check up on us once during our meal and we had to ask someone to get our check. When she came to get our money, she brought up they were short staffed. I really don't understand how they were because I saw 3 managers walking around with 10 waitresses (I counted) with no more than 10 tables. At my work, we are lucky if we have 3 waitresses working at a time. She also charged me $4 for the cheese sauce, after she told me it would be $3 and that she wouldn't change me. She tried to argue with me about how she never told either of those things, then manger came over and took it off for me.
