On top of that, she is quick, attentive, and clearly knows her job inside and out. It’s rare to find someone who brings great energy and top-notch service. She truly makes our visits memorable. As loyal customers of the past 4 years in the Standale neighborhood, (shoutout Sam!! I see you girlll!) we have relocated to a new area and decided it was time to take a visit to our new local Applebee’s. We got off to a little bit of a shaky start with the new adjustment. It was very busy and we decided to sit at the bar while we waited for a table. Our drinks were ready at the same time as our table, naturally causing some confliction. But, rest assured, Alicia was ready for us and swooped in to save the day! She immediately made us feel welcomed to the new neighborhood. Our dining quarters were very cramped, but Alicia took it upon herself to move us to a nearby table to allow us and our neighbors some more space and a more comfortable dining experience. Alicia is the type of girl to stand up for you when no one else will. Alicia is not a bystander. Although the Standale neighborhood will always have a piece of our hearts, we feel grateful and excited to have found a new local Applebee’s to call home.

I would just like to say this review is STRICTLY based off of the new menu updates. Now I may be 27 years old, but you're telling me that the fiesta lime chicken was not only removed from the 2 for 25 menu, but it costs $15.99???? This exact menu item was on the 2 for 20 menu before COVID. Now I understand with change comes new items and prices, however, this item does not belong at this price or to be taken off the only good deal this restaurant has to offer, with that being said, you just lost a customer of over a decade. Applebee's YOU did that, not the staff, or the people who actually run the place, but YOU John Peyton are the reason you lost a valuable customer. Good day

Erika was our servicer and was just the sweetest! Was there with 3 of my grandchildren and she treated them so good... they really enjoyed her! She took care of all our wants and needs! Very attentive!

Stopped by on a Friday night for dinner. The restaurant was only about half full, so we were seated right away. Unfortunately, that’s where the good part ended. We sat at our table for 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us—not even to take a drink order. We saw servers attending to other tables and hostesses walking by us multiple times, but no one stopped to check in. After waiting with no service or greeting, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. Disappointing experience, and we won’t be returning. Can’t even comment on the food—we never got that far.

Came back from golfing on Thursday and decided to get food with my wife, we were astonished by how fast we were seated. Our hosts name was Brecken and we saw him throughout the night seating people right away. It was refreshing to see someone who jumped at the opportunity to help people, instead of putting it off.

Our server, Lili went above & beyond. She made us feel welcome & comfortable. She Is an Asset to your company. Thank You for hiring her.

I highly recommend the East Beltline location. My husband picked up our order and it was as good as if we were at the restaurant. We ordered artichoke and spinach dip with chips. I had the Oriental chicken salad. We also ordered buffalo wings mild, which were, by the way warm, tender and juicy. Ordered takeout from the 28th St. location, and it was nowhere near the quality of the east beltline location.

Worst service I've ever had I think the bartenders name was Brittany if you get her.... Just don't

Unlimited wings - garlic parm, honey pepper, honey bbq, Asian sweet chili Spinach artichoke dip Why did I eat so many. The fries were pretty mid. Super dry and not much flavor. Still good mindless filler food which is what you need when you make the decision to go to an Applebees. The wings themselves were actually really good - juicy and crispy. I thought all of the sauces were very tasty except for the Asian sweet chili. It tasted like Asian zing that went bad. Service was an Applebees/10 (very bad).

I had ordered their Strawberry Balsamic Chicken Salad for dinner last night and customized it to have NO onions and NO tomatoes and m husband ordered the appetizer combo with blue cheese for his chicken wings. When we got the food home my salad had tons of onions and tomatoes on it and there was NO blue cheese for his wings! I would not have left this review if this was not the first time they had messed up our order, but this is now the forth time in a row that something has either been incorrect or missing! We used to love this Applebee's, but after four times messing things up we will NOT be returning!!!!

We came for my friends birthday and had the best time at the bar. Brittany is such a great bartender and gave us the best service. We had so much fun and I definitely recommend her as your server!

I like most Applebees. We usually go to the Alpine Ave. One. We decided to try this one. We both had the ribeye. We really didnt care for the amount of food. We left still hungry. We waited for 15 minutes just to get the bill so we could get out of there. We wont be back.

This place is a classic, anyone that disagrees is a liar. Apps are amazing especially if you're drunk af off them dollaritas. Service is always amazing and they're always checking up on you, when it's busy it's a lil different but hey they're waiting on 40-50 people and more. Place is just the classic Applebee's neighborhood bar and grill like it always it is, classy af y'all. Never go wrong with just going to Applebee's and a bitch can fuck up some wings too lemme tell ya.

Absolute rubbish. PLEASE train your cooks how to properly prepare your food. Tonight I ordered the Bourbon Street Steak. I ordered it medium, with the standard garlic mashed potatoes. Medium is supposed to come warm to hot, with pink showing in the middle. Pretty simple. I received shoe leather. Shoe leather. I don't know long they cooked it, but it was obviously much longer than they were supposed to. The waitress did ask if I wanted it refired, but I've been around long enough to know what happens in a kitchen when you send food back, so I politely turned that offer down, as well as the free dessert. The steak was removed from my bill, as it should have been. The potatoes were ok. What is so hard about quality checking your food before it leaves the kitchen? One quick look would have told anyone with half a brain this steak was prepared incorrectly. Come on, guys... get it together!

Giving it a 4 star mainly because our server ......Maddie was a awesome a delightful personality ,very attentive everything came out fast and accurate and she always had a beautiful smile on her face and she made our family's visit a great one . ..the food we had was tasty and made just right .. .if your in grand rapids visit this one and ask for Maddie's section ......tip her very nicely she deserves it

We ate here in between my lacrosse tournament. The service was quick, good job. My kid's cheeseburger was good but cold and the meat was way smaller than the bun. My dad's riblets were awesome. The meat portion was bigger than it usually is. We all ate it! I forgot to take a picture of our appetizer, the bbq boneless wings. They were good, but they are not wings, just chicken nuggets LoL. My mom's salmon looked good but I did not try it because I cannot eat salmon. I ate all her broccoli! Hers was better than mine because they salted her broccoli, mine was just plain. My mom said her salmon was small and dry but she loved her French onion soup! The soup was the only food that came out hot. Why do restaurants always serve me cold food? I don't like that. Our server was very nice

This would rate as an average meal. Not much to really complain about, but a couple things that didn't make it great. We started with the pretzel sticks and beer cheese. They tasted good, but just a little to crunchy. My wife got the triple bacon burger and I got the all day burger. Both came with fries. Both burgers were asked to be well done. Mine was a little pink on one side. Luckily I don't mind them that way. Fries were warm, but not hot like they should be if they came out of the frier and played after the burger was done. Again, it was an enjoyable meal and nothing that was wrong was so bad that it earned a bad score. Of course I will eat here again.

Good service! Went on a busy Sunday for lunch and still received quality service even the manager was out bussing tables to assure timely food delivery.

We came in last night for a dessert and a beer and the entire restaurant was 30%-40% filled at 8:30-9 pm and we got sat right away but ended up walking out after 15 minutes of sitting at our table with no one greeting us or taking our drink order. Servers were taking care of all the tables around us not no one even acknowledged us. My girlfriend worked as a bartender and waitress for about 3-4 years so she is usually pretty understanding of poor service but she was even commenting on how terrible the service was. Do not go to this Applebee's and find somewhere better to go where the staff actually cares about service or representing their employer better. We live a few minutes from this location but we will certainly be going somewhere else as this place has a terrible reputation. Read the rest of the reviews. The service has always been terrible and no matter how many complaints they receive, nothing changes. Again, find somewhere else to go!

There were 5 of us who went here for a special birthday dinner. It was not busy on a late Sun afternoon, unlike many other places. Service was prompt & personable & they willingly accommodated some of us straggling in later. We all ordered something different, burgers, sandwiches with a wide selection of sides. Everything looked & tasted very good. My half rack of bbq ribs was great. They brought the birthday girl a brownie with ice cream covered with caramel & fudge. We all enjoyed our visit.

Whoever is cooking today, hats off to you!! Food and service were excellent! We had the new Nashville chicken sandwich which I guess is for a limited time and it was so good.

Amazing food. The quesadilla burger is so good! The staff is friendly and helpful. You can see extra measures taken to be safe and clean. Seating is obviously limited, but their togo food is just as good!

Oh my what has happened to Applebee's quality standards and staff manners? I went for lunch with some friends and we each ordered the lunch burgers. OMG so gross, they were pretty raw in the middle and I mean raw. We got the attention of the wait person who was rather rude and took the food back. Well it must had made the cook mad before the burgers came back out like hockey pucks. We complained and we told the manager was out for a while and no one could authorize a refund. We paid the bills and left. I gave it an extra star cause I did call back and got the manager who sent me a gift card.

Fellow server here! I was really impressed with our server Sophia L, she was polite, prompt with our meals and always knew when was the right time to grab that refill for us. She didn't wait too long to take our plates and neither did she take them away too early, she definitely deserves some recognition for doing such a brilliant job! Especially at 9:55 pm at night where she might be a little tired from her shift, but she didn't fail on making us feel welcomed! One complaint though... the music box, I did see a fellow Applebee worker selecting some strange music on there, and it didn't blend with the atmosphere of the restaurant. I know it's late, but sometimes something a little more relaxing and quiet would be better for a Monday night. Anyways, thank you Sophia for such excellent service!!

the mens bathroom is sick and every time im there i have hair in my food

During COVID lockdown I had ordered from here a couple of times and every time the food was excellent, even though the service was (understandably) slow. So I ordered the ribeye steak again for takeout, but what I got looked and tasted like pork. Maybe they boiled the meat to make it quicker to cook, but I'm not sure even boiled beef would ever look so pale and taste like pork. At least it wasn't reconstituted meat -- there was too much real gristle for that, and the texture was normal meat, but again, normal for pork. Disappointing. Was tempted to keep a piece of it to get it DNA tested, but my dog really wanted it. Curious to see if anybody else had a similar experience though.

Service was rough. Considering it was the servers second day off training I sat back and let it play out. Then the manager Chase brought our bill to the table incorrectly and refused to discount anything even though my entire family ate before my mother received her meal. He then proceeded to say we yelled at him. Even though we had just asked for the correct bill. Completely unprofessional. Hats off to the kitchen as they were the only thing holding it together.

Everytime I have come to this location I have had wonderful service from the hostess and waitresses. Waitress was very aware of our allergies and made sure to get us the best food for us. Hostess gave us free dessert just for being respectful and outgoing. Allowed us to choose our own seats and checked on us many times to make sure we're doing good.

I'm seated quickly, and with a nice smile. I go to Applebees quite frequently (4-5 times a week....) Not because I'm lonely, but because I'm actually quite fond of one of the managers, the one that always wears a nice collared plaid shirt, the one with the gorgeous gleaming bald head. Anyway, I go to this Applebees so much, and every time I come in, I'm sat very quickly and with smiling faces and friendly banter. Sometimes, this manager even drops off my food, and when he does, it always a little bit more flavourful and a little hotter. Whenever he comes be there's always a sweet little conversation, and he's soooooo funny. I wish I could tip him, because he's just the most incredible restaurant manager I've ever seen. Whenever he's hassling his employees to do better, it gives me butterflies to see the respect he commands. Anyway my whisky bacon burger was delish! The buns were toasted to perfection, and the burger was dripping with sauce and juice, it got all over my face, dripping down my neck and down my shirt, all over my clothes. After I ate I needed to strip down in the mens bathroom and scurry out through the to-go door out to my car, hoping no one but the stud manager saw me. The crispy onions made my mouth water and tears flow from my eyes. The pickles made me want to scream without the s because of their rich flavour. The fireball infused sauce on the burger gave me just the buzz I needed to get me drooling for that manager again. I recommend everybody go and see him, so you can know what true beauty looks like.

I had dinner at Applebee's and I ordered a drink and taco and dip with beef. The food was disgusting. It smelled like mold. The drink I ordered was definitively watered down. The service is high schoolish. I would be surprised if this restraunt stays open much longer. I will never go there again.

Arrived at about 4:45, place was empty, employees hanging out at bar, we were greeted and seated at booth, our server arrived shortly introduced himself and asked what we would like to drink, never did he tell us about specials or recommend any menu items, I already knew what to order because of a television commercial, the item I ordered came with unlimited fries, never did the server mention that so when I asked for more fries he seemed a bit surprised, over all the service was in my opinion below par, server did not appear to be to enthusiastic about his job, food was good, one other thing bothered me, like I said the place was empty, the next customers to come in was a family with 2 small children, guess where they were seated, the booth directly in back of us.

Half off appetizers every night. This happy hour special makes boneless chicken wings for $5 is a great deal. Maybe it's not farm-to-table, but the food was still good. Service was also great.

Sub-par food for a decent price. Not bad. They have some good deals at certain times. I'm personally a fan of the burgers and mozzarella sticks here. The staff are friendly from what I've seen and it's a good place to stop for some cheap and decent food.

Applebee's is a great establishment. Great place to have a few foamers. Great place to get 1/2 appetizers (it's casual, though, so just say "apps") after 9 pm. Great place to meet friends for a laugh. Even a great place to celebrate a 21st birthday. I can't tell you how much this place has meant to my friends and me. It's the only Applebee's I know of--they should really consider expanding, so that every little town across America can have the neighborhood bar & grille it deserves.

I was disappointed in the food. Our server was great, got us on our way to head to a performance with a smile and good service. I wish the food was as good. I got a ''pick two'' consisting of a lettuce wedge with blue cheese and other toppings. It just wasn't flavorful. My other pick was an onion steak. The steak was maybe two ounces and was tough. My SO had a strawberry salad with grilled chicken. She found the lettuce used to be overly spicy and overshadowing of the chicken. Of the other two members of our party, one had a hamburger that she said was just OK, and the other had a field greens salad with chicken, which he liked all right. I have had good experiences at Applebee's in the past and wish I could have rated this visit higher.

Apparently Kiki doesn't care if you don't get service or not. Even to my friend that I came in with yesterday afternoon which happens to be a Veteran. He wore his Vet hat and barely any customers in the Restraunt yesterday afternoon. We sat at our table after Kiki took out beverage order and waited ten minutes. Were ignored by 2 other employees there clearing off some tables. Kiki was in the bar area and serving others some drinks and a couple that Kiki was all over them came in 5 mins after we did and Kiki took their drink order and order. She never once said she would be right with us. She never once had another employees bring us our beverages. We felt like we got slapped in the face. No excuse for This Or when my friend called later that afternoon to speak to the manager this manager was unreal. No apology. Nothing. Something is Very Wrong with that picture !!! And that was our first and Definitely Last Time at that Applebee's Location. SMH

This was really between a 2 and a 3 for me....mostly because of our server. For some reason every time she brought something to the table she had to be next to me and kept rubbing on me. She was setting something on the table and rubbed her arm on the rim of my glass. GROSS. She didn't even acknowledge it. How could you not feel that wetness on your upper arm?!?!?! 4 little kids ordered drinks - 1 said milk & 3 said lemonade and she got very overwhelmed by that. I guess overall I just felt a little like we were putting her out and quite frankly it irritated me. I know, odd that it was irritating eh? One person had potatoes that came out still being cooked on a hot plate and they were too burned to eat but other than that the food was decent. The frozen mango lemonade was quite tasty!!! Best part of the meal actually!!

Food was call first round, waited to long for food. But Caleb was a great Waiter. I asked for a well done burger and got meidum.

i don't know about other applebee's but the applebee's in ionia is great!! they are always nice and willing to help out their customers. i've even gone there with a bonus card i got on the internet but, couldn't read it because my printer wasn't working properly. they still took the coupon and served me with a huge smile. this applebee's knows how to treat their customers. they know how to keep customers. i mean its no big secret just treat people right and they defiantly do that. as long as applebee's continues doin what they are doin they have a customer for life. more business's could take notes from this applebee's.

My wife and I went out for a nightcap. Picked Applebee's for their great happy hour apps and their reasonably priced drinks. After our third drink in 2 hours, we were told that company policy was to cut us off. We will not be returning. We don't go to Applebee's to get hammered as 50 year olds. We just want a few hours to socialize and play some music. Plenty of other cookie cutter corporate chains to visit.

Great menu and delicious food. Slow service from the get go and throughout stay. Kitchen is slow. Do not go here if you are on a break from work or a conference.

Service is always slow every time I go in. Our food takes forever it seems to come out and even when it does, there is always something that needs fixing. After going with a bunch of my girlfriends, we all got diarrhea that night. Terrible.

Sat at the bar and was carded to get a drink when I come here all the time I think I'll go somewhere else since I was never offered chips and Salsa plus there was no good sporting events on the Tv's

Great host in today. She played with my 2 year and made sure she was happy while sitting us. Best server was on duty too. Playing with my daughter and being super friendly and right on time for refills.

Service was terrible. None of us got our drinks at the appropriate time, food was slow- and cold, not to mention the waitress knocked my friend in the back of the head with a plate and spilled salsa all the way down her back... the salsa was looked like gunky water. Talked to the manager and he apologized. Ok, thanks?

Rude to begin with, whether it be involving poorly prepared meals or their supposed Carside Service. If one is going to advertise carside, why do you stop it at 9:00? You say safety, which might apply during the winter, but that doesn't work with me when the sun doesn't go down till well after that in the summer. Keeping me on hold forever on the phone didn't make this situation any better. Glad Twister Rooster was more interested in servicing me as a customer!

Love Applebee's! Great place to crash with friends or for a nice dinner with family! Menu and selections are wonderful. Only thing I wish was different was bigger portions I pay enough that i just wish there would be more food for what I payed for. But otherwise great place!

bad experience. but what do you expect on halloween? our server said his name was Rick and he was dressed up as a raccoon. there was a table behind us who were his friends. instead of taking our order right away, he sat with his friends and ate. on top of that, he was complaining away about previous customers with us right there! my wife ordered the 3 cheese pasta and said no tomatoes. the server said are you sure? So of course we said yes. long behold I get my dinner and my wife's pasta has tomatoes on it. it was remade. when we got our bill, we got charged twice for the pasta so that had to be fixed. when we finally cashed out, our change was supposed to be 12.28 but our server decided we didn't need our 3 pennies and gave us 12.25. now I know it's only 3 penny's but don't short us on out change! overall bad service and we won't be back for awhile.

Fast, the food was hot, it tasted great, and the server was very polite. By far the best experience I've had at an Applebee's for some time now!
