Applebee's Grill + Bar

I’m literally not impressed if I write a bad review. I rarely write reviews. I visited this particular location last night 11/10/2025. I ordered To-Go/Carside. Before arriving they told me that my order would be ready at approximately 7:01. When I arrived it was 7:04. I waited until 7:15 to go in and pick up the order. As soon as I walked in a young lady asked me if I had a To-Go order. I said yes. When I arrived home, what I had didn’t match what was on my receipt. I ordered the Blackened SHRIMP, and Andouille Sausage Penne, NOT the CHICKEN Andouille Sausage Penne. I called to see if they could possibly fix the mistake. One of the waitresses put me on hold, after telling me that she was going to get her manager. No manager ever came to the phone. I called back a SECOND time, someone picked up the phone, and hung up on me. I called a THIRD time, someone picked up the phone again, and hung up on me. Completely unprofessional. So here I am in the reviews! 🤭🤗 Not to mention, my meal was $43, and I was able to give a 20% ($8) tip even though I ordered carside, and had to exit the car to go in and grab my order. 🙃 & people wonder why people don’t tip. Terrible customer service, rude and unacceptable. Not a good experience.

This is the 2nd time I've come to this location with friends for a work lunch date to be seated too late to make it back on time (Lunch is only an hour). Food & drink was great but service upon entry needs to pick up the pace! Our server for the table was amazing 👏🏽 🤩 wish I gotten her name but I'll be visiting again. Hopefully next time it's on a weekend day where there's no time restrictions 😂😂💛

I can’t speak for everyone but I come from a place of self healing and growth and learning how to love and have a good time with just me. But going out alone has always given me such anxiety this neighborhood Applebees has truly brought me out of my shell and has become like home to me .they make me feel like family the food and drinks are absolutely delicious and the attention to detail and the fact they care about your feedback is everything. I recommend any and everybody come and check them out because this is now always my hang out I assure you if you’re dining alone and tend to feel awkward when doing so or just need a new cool hangout just give them a shot .. thanks Applebees team on wendover for giving a new found loner a place to feel safe and at home…. It’s always a good time..👌👌❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Me and my brother went out with our niece for my brother's birthday. From the moment we walked into the restaurant the server Lekela didn't even want to seat us, immediately wanted to sit us at the bar, when I requested to be in a booth she rolled her eyes and said I've already sat people in my section. When she finally came to take out order after leaving us for about 15 minutes she seems to not want to be bothered. My brother and myself watched Lekela be more attractive to her tables while we had to keep waiting. Once we got food my niece found a long hair in her food she came by took the plate to be are made and said she would. Inform the Manager and send her over well that never happened. I'm Highly disappointed in the service and the experience that I had there and will probably not be returning there. These issues definitely need to be addressed l!!!

Every time I come here it’s an issue. I wasn’t greeted by a server for almost 15 minutes. And all I ordered was sweet tea and I have been sitting here almost another 10 minutes with no drink. The servers here do not care and idk how this Applebees is still open at this point I only came here because it’s late and they are open til 12 other than that I rarely come here

Everything we ordered was out of stock. Don't know if we came on the wrong day but we ate what we didnt come in for bc of this. Yes we could have left but it was too cold to leave once we were comfortable lol.

The food was OK. The ribs were cooked well and very soft. The chips and dip were mediocre I’d say. I really only came to have the ice cream blondie which is apparently made with apples now instead of with the warmed butter pecan. I’m not a fan of baked apples so I may be biased. My waiter didn’t come around much but the rest of the staff made up for their lack of attentiveness, they were very accommodating!

Horrible experience. Online delivery has always been good but we decided to visit for Mother's Day and for my husband birthday. Hubby ordered 8 oz sirloin and I ordered 8 oz sirloin and shrimp. My steak was tiny. Both our plates were filthy and hideous looking. The only plate that looked ok was my friend loaded chicken. We complained to Tracy the manager who claimed they weigh the steak and that's how its cut and the plates bump together as to why they dirty. Hubby had bbq sauce on the side and bottom of his plate Mine looked like they used an old plate to throw that on. All food returned. We just paid for the drinks though we shouldn't had to due to the inconvenience and wait. Awful. Here's an old order from a year ago with an actual 8 ounce compared to the mess they tried to sell me attached to this review. Wasn't worth $20. Only thing that made this pleasant was the nice waitress Michelle S who had to work on her birthday. She told us how the cook and others dont listen to her on presentation. Well these pictures shows the lack thereof. First 2 pics are the delivery order a year ago versus the plates inside we sent back.. They should be ashamed of themselves.

The food could've been good if only we got it in the first place!! We ordered 2 apps and 3 entrees and we were missing 2 entrees and left some of us starving for nearly an hour, till we were able to notify the waitress that we didn't receive what we ordered. Additionally the wait staff took quite a long time to get alcoholic drinks prepared, although there weren't any tables (roughly 3-4 including ours). Overall a pretty bad experience, and definitely going to a different location.

If you're looking for standard restaurant fare--soups, salads, appetizers, salads, entrees--this is the place! We arrived to a fairly empty parking lot on an early Saturday afternoon--but before we left, the parking lot had started filling up. Food arrived fresh and hot. Nothing stood particularly stood out from meal, however server was attentive and friendly. The interior looks like every other location. The speakers in restaurant need to replaced as a song with a lot of bass (a variety of music was played) had major vibration. Heads up--the parking lot entrance is a bit awkward to navigate.

Slow service. Food not cooked right and no drink fill ups. I waited for my side of mashed potatoes to be brought out 10 mins after receiving my entree and they were literally COLD. Not room temp cold, straight up cold from the refrigerator! I sent them back and said don't even bring a replacement. My husband's "medium" steak was actually well done and his mashed potatoes that came out with his entree were steaming hot.. And the kids tenders and fries were completely over cooked. This is the second and last time we will visit this location.. probably the last time we'll have Applebees altogether. There was a man waiting on a to go order for the entire duration of our visit (which was close to an hour.) Our first visit was very similar.. very slow service, food not cooked right, pretzel was doused in TABLE SALT.. not pretzel salt. I'd say stay clear of this location.

It was a horrible experience. The service was terrible. The wait person was sharp and rude. The staff was totally clueless about food allergies-- they made me sick and management was little help. The chain has an allergen menu, but this location is uneducated as to what and how to deal with these special needs.

I treated myself to lunch. It was around 2 in the afternoon so it was pretty quiet inside. Now the menu was dirty. Do restaurants not clean the menus after customers have handled them? The food was good. Broccoli was a little salty but when paired with the mashed potatoes it was delicious.

I would give this trip a rating of 3.5! The restaurant was completely under staffed for a Saturday evening. And "being in the Biz" makes you appreciate the the industry even more. However, what should have been done during morning shift was obviously neglected and left up night workers. One thing I hate is receiving food without the proper items such as napkins, utensils and most definitely PLATES, but yet I didn't get any of that without requesting them. The food .... Well let's just say it's Applebee's; not too many of us make this chain our neighborhood bar because of the exceptional quality of food. It's about the atmosphere and for a cheap date such as myself....I'm ok with frozen food and the lack of customer connection for a 2 for 25 Anyday!!! CHEERS

Had a fantastic waitress. The food was amazing! It was a little warm in the restaurant but I would still come back for the people and the food! My chicken was cooked perfectly. Thank you Greensboro Applebees!

The place was dirty the service was terrible the waitress got an attitude bcz we asked for the manager. We got salad and there was no dressing when we asked they said it was it was .25. Then the manager came and said the waitress never told her the salad didn't have dressing. The floor was dirty and it smelled. Drinks took for ever when the bill came they didn't even give us a pen. The waitress certainly needs to go back to waiter a school.

I normally love Applebees but this was not there night. Service was slow and the restaurant was pretty quite which was nice. We also went on a Tuesday night when barely anybody was in there. However are waitress was very nice and accommodating and fulfilled every request we had. The food was ok, I did have to have them reheat the queso dip due to it being cool on arrival. One of my friends also had made specific request due to her allergies and they were not correct. Overall the food was eatable and even though this wasn't my best experience I would still go back, just maybe on a different day.

I was passing through Greensboro on my way home and stopped by Applebee's! I'm so glad I did! I sat at the bar and Jessica was the best. She was friendly, very welcoming and definitely helpful when I couldn't decide which or what drink to order! She made me a delicious drink I never had before! Then two regulars came in and we started reminiscing about the area years ago! Well that was almost the icing on the cake! I ordered the Mardi Gras pasta & that put the icing on the cake!! You definitely can't go wrong with visiting this establishment... from the great attitude of Jessica & her manager to the food and the southern hospitality displayed by Sandee & Frankie!! I will definitely stop by there again!

My hubby and kids visited here lastnight and I must say, we were treated extremely well despite them being short staffed! Best experience ever!!

We had Allie as our waitress and she was SO kind and checked in on us constantly to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and the area was clean.

We went here on 2-14-25 at about 10:00 pm. It was the worst! First of all, I ordered curb-side pick-up a few weeks ago and was not given my drink. When I called and spoke to the manager she was very nonchalant. As if to say "it's just a drink"! She asked if I was coming back to get the drink. With the cost of gas, it would have cost me more to return. There is no consideration of the fact that I paid for something I didn't get and the extra cost to come back and get it! She said she would put my name on a list. When I went 2-14-25 the waitress acted as if I was trying to get a free drink when I told her my name should be on a list. She stated she never heard of a list! I did get the soda free though! Now, back to 2-14-25. The food was just awful! The riblets were barely warm, looked old, and tasted even older. I told the waitress. She went and put it in the microwave as if that would make a difference. I ended up speaking to the manager who claimed they had just cooked them. They didn't even taste like pork. They had a taste of some foreign meat. It took my appetite away. I ended up eating a few boneless wings my friend had ordered. I will never go back here!

Food was awful! I was one of the few people in the restaurant during dinner rush (I now see why). They brought no napkins and acted surprised when I asked for them. They brought a stack of cocktail napkins to the table because they had no dinner napkins. Then came back and placed wet maps on the table stating "we also have these". No check in after food drop off to see how the meal was. Waited a long time to be seated. Clearly very poorly managed as these issues start at the top.

The food was okay. Some was luke warm, some was cold and it took 35-40 min just to get. The tenders were hard as a rock and the noodles were WAY over done. The waitress was sweet but taking her time with everything. I think that was the biggest concern of mine other than the food obviously because there was only people drinking at the bar when I had gotten there. It was very quiet at the table we were seated at but over by the bar it was loud. They were cussing and yelling while having drinks. (Including workers, don't know if they were on or off duty)

This place was not up to par! The bartender was the only one working even though that there were three front of the house staff members on duty. The appetizers took more than a long time to come out and I counted seven tables in the house between two and four. Being a customer service representative in the food and beverage industry I was appalled. Customer service is is an experience and from the parking lot to check out I was not taken back by my experience. FYI, it was my birthday. Better luck next time thanks

In a word Not! Food rice was old Service thought a fight might break out Ambiance none!

Took my mother in law for her birthday because this place is what she wanted. This visit started with her having the oriental salad which they didn't have but they had the manager make it for her. The bad part was it took almost an hour to get my food(prime rib dipper). There wasn't an apology for the delay, not even a discount for the meal for the circumstances. I didn't realize this location had such bad reviews. I'll never in the future go to this location ever again. Future customers, please read the other reviews!!

I was picking up a order for DoorDash and as I walked in to the pick up door, it was locked, so I had to walk through the front door, where there is nobody to greet me as I walked in. I proceeded to walk back to the bar, where two people stood there and another server who was working with a table acknowledged me and said what can I help you with. Another lady then brought out the food and never spoke. Everyone who worked there seemed very confused on what their job was. This restaurant has Horrible customer service.

The worst Applebee's EVER! Yes, we ordered the 2 for $29 of 2 8 oz. sirloin, mashed potatoes, and "garlicky" green beans. Absolutely, the most horrible I have ever had at an Applebee's. The steaks were so WELL DONE that they couldn't be eaten unless you had a set of teeth like Mr. Ed (the talking horse). The server was inattentive. There were only 9 other total diners in the restaurant. The manager did offer to cook a new steak, which I accepted and am taking home. Who knows how it will be. Anyway, you have been warned about this Applebee's. Run to the nearest McDonald's and get an edible meal (just kidding). I am just so disappointed. The manager was very kind and nice. I appreciated that part of the visit.

If I could leave negative stars I would!!! Got there at 6pm.... Not busy... had a table of 6. Waited an hour for the kids food to come out.... They started bringing the adults food out 20 minutes after the kids... except 1 plate.... And I waited another 20 minutes to get my food! 1 persons food was wrong.... Kids food was like warm at best.... And my steak was burnt and so tough I could hardly cut it.... Along with the big chunk of fat going down the middle of it... (6oz sirloin) only positive... they did take the steak meal off, and the plate that was wrong and an appetizer that took forever to come out. Still 30 bucks for some wontons a burger and 2 drinks.... To leave and have to go find somewhere else to eat.We definitely will not be back... and to anyone thinking of going.... Beware. We don't like to complain.... And usually do not leave bad reviews.... But tonight definitely called for it.

We went there for a late lunch on a Thursday. There were five other tables seated besides us, so it was not busy. Everyone else had their food. The hostess seated us and said the server will be with you shortly. We had time to look over the menu about three times and decide what we wanted and had yet to see a server. Not just one had not come to our table. We had not seen 1 walking around the restaurant at all. About that time, a girl comes out of the back and a table behind us is waving her over. She goes to them gets their money to pay them out, goes up to the bar With the money and ticket and starts talking to another employee, laughing and carrying on. She still had not acknowledged us brought us drinks nothing. We sat there and watched her banter back-and-forth with another employee after we had been seated for about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment. We finally got up and walked out, we went across the street to TGI Fridays and it was a totally different experience. I will never go back to this location.

If there were zero star option this Applebee's would've received it. Took forever to get a server (place was not busy or full); Once we placed our order, she came back 10 minutes later and said one of our entrees could not be made as they started making rice and it takes 45 minutes. (Really?!). Picked another entree and ordered drinks. Food came---chicken and mashed potatoes were cold...still no drinks.... Never came back to check . When one person was done with meal and the other almost done the drinks came. Blech! Food was finished by then. Had to ask for check and waited for check another 10 minutes. Worst Applebee's ever!

We never were called for our seating after putting our name on the list for dinner. They took our name and number and never texted us. I overheard the hostess telling people coming in they are short handed. Ended up going to golden corral

Nothing but nice things to say on our visit came in last minute with a group of 11 the host was very accommodating and told us a 20 minute wait it was more like ten. The Manager Tracy came over and introduced herself she was great and made sure everything went smoothly. All in all a good time kudos to the wait staff and Tracy the manager

Should be no stars we waited to be put on list no one even greeted us then she put us at the bar took 15 minutes for the same lady to get our drink order then waited for that placed order salads came out then not even five minutes later the food came out. Then my rack of ribs was cut up into three sections I asked her why she didn't know I told her I wanted a full rack not cut up she came out of the kitchen and said they had no more ribs what else would I like I figured it best not to eat anything my wife and mom had their food while I sat there finally try to pay and got attitude from a waitress I flagged down I didn't know who my waitress was because I was at the bar area and the bartender NEVER even acknowledged us I will never go to this nor any other the place was so rude and not pleasant whatsoever

This place had nothing. No beer on tap. No yogurt for the kid with us. NO SILVERWARE and the food came out half was cold and half was over cooked just absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely horrible does not even rate any star. The server failed to put the order until 20 minutes after we ordered. He is so lazy he brings two drinks to your table. He brought a salad if I wanted a salad I would have ordered a salad. By making me a salad I did not want is a waste of product. All this before my food has come out. The food did arrive 8 minutes after it was finally entered into the system. The manager did comp the bill.

As soon as me and three others walked in we were seated in reasonable time but then after that is when things went downhill. We sat at our table for about 30 minutes until our drinks where even taken , all we had was the menu .. no utensils. Our waiter then came back to our table maybe another 20 minutes later and got the orders. Not to mention she didn't have a few of the item we were looking for, which was okay considering it was close to the end of the night. Then what felt like a good hour later ( which she said was due to them only having two cooks ) she came back with our food. I ordered a chicken sandwich ( that I didnt finish ) and one of my colleagues got shrimp, he said immediately after his stomach started to hurt. We were not pleased at all. The overall experience was 3/10 i expected more honestly ‍

Ordered my food my sides where missing I called back and was told my order would be replaced I returned an hour later they knew the order and refused to replace it so I drive back home across town for an order of fries. The manager didn't come to the phone when I called about the matter. I will not be returning to this establishment due to the lack of customer service they provide.

Everything we wanted they were out of it. No real silverware. Food was burnt and cold. Service was not good either. Had to keep asking for things. Go somewhere else.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner around 6:30 pm. The minute we opened the door it smelled like a urinal cake in the lobby. Our waiter walked us through a pile of trash on the floor and tried to seat us at a table that was filthy. My husband had to ask for us to be seated elsewhere. That pile of trash Sat on the floor for about 25 mins before it was picked up. They were cleaning supplies on various tables throughout the restaurant. All of the waiters except one sat around the dining area on their phones. The entire restaurant had an odor to it. When we were seated our table was wiped down with a cloth that was already wet that I believe came out of a bucket that was sitting on one of the tables full of filthy water from who knows how many tables that have been wiped down. The lady who we assumed to be the manager was sitting at the bar not doing anything. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and halfway through eating them there was a glob of something in the marinara sauce. We couldn't tell if it was some type of green leafy substance with cheese on it or mold. We ordered hamburgers. When they came the bun on the outside was covered in either grease or butter. The fries did not seem to be fresh some of them look like they had been dropped in the fryer more than once. My husband finished his burger but I only made it halfway through mine. Another party came in after us and was seated at a booth with a window. When the sun started setting the waitress pulled down the shade which had a huge stain on it. The windows themselves were absolutely filthy. The entire restaurant needed a thorough cleaning. Whoever the owner of this restaurant is needs to shut that place down for about a month and do an extremely deep clean of everything. The staff should be terminated as it seemed like none of them were interested in doing anything but sit around on their phones. And whoever the manager on duty was did absolutely nothing to change their behavior. We will absolutely never be back to that restaurant. And if you're ever on wendover looking for a place to eat I recommend that you do not ever go to the Applebee's.

Probably one of the most ghettoest unprofessional restaurants that I have ever been to, staff is wild lazy , shorty with the stiff slick down hair is wild lazy and unprofessional she's a host . When you walk in whoever is supposed to greet you just stares at you along with 10 other employees like "what do they want" I wanna eat stop staring stand up and greet your customers idk how this store is still open tbh lmao, I went the other day and the lazy big girl gonna keep staring at me then finally gets up and says "it's gonna be a 30 min wait "meanwhile I see probably 15 ppl in there and mad waitresses on the phone cooling managers always in the back the only way I finally get someone to greet us most times is when I stand in the restaurant and call the front desk just so they can walk up to us smh definitely a terrible establishment

Their COSMIC WINGS are very good. We got the Garlic Parm wings (reg & boneless). The waffle fries were also good. They were delivered hot & ready to eat

waiter said she worked at the bar but would bring out food shortly took her 2 hours got appitizzer after food an missing items like garlic bread and broccoli and a raw burger when the food finally came .

We came in for the $1 BAHAMA mamas! While we were here I decided to get something to eat. I ordered the bacon whisky burger. Food came out in a timely manner,but my burger waa undercooked. No biggie I came for the drinks anyway. My second round of Bahamas mama there was something floating in my drink. At this point I'm still waiting for my food and I'm getting frustrated . Overall it was below average. I would come back to Applebees just not this particular location.

A breadstick came with my salad that was buttery and fresh with just the right amount of crisp in the crust. I thought my Oriental Salad had too much dressing on it. The service was great.

Number 1 Applebee's. 3 trophies to prove it. You are eating good in the neighborhood when you go here. The staff is dedicated and the atmosphere is that Applebee's je ne sais quoi.

Straight trash! Looks like drug deals going on in and outside of the restaurant. Waiter was rushing me to order. Food came out horrible. Asked for my check and boxes. Didn't even eat a bite.

We came in redeem a certificate we received on a prior due to an incomplete order. We were seated next to a table with food and dishes left from the last customer. We ordered our food at 2 pm. By 2:45 we had not received anything. We weee told by the waitress that she had the appetizer wings cooked again because they were burnt. Five minutes later, we hear her asking if anyone had seen any buffalo wings. Next, we see presumably our wings being served to the one person sitting at the bar. We did get the kids chicken tender fries we ordered at 2:50 pm-all of it was cold to the touch.

The signs of this location was clear for years; however last night's service ended a tradition I must celebrate elsewhere. A good friend and I went out for Girls' Night Out only to end the night disappointed. Twenty minutes after ordering a Wonton dinner, my friend was told they ran out of Wonton. Applebee's running out of food on a main strip of Greensboro during March Madness weakened? How tacky! She ordered the WATERMELON Sangria only to taste more cranberry in an iced down drink. If you think her order was messed up only, guess again. I originally ordered the Blue Hawaiian LIT cocktail drink only to be told they ran out of a main ingredient earlier in the day. So, I ordered the Irish Peach Sour only to get a Bahama Mama instead. How can you mix up the two drinks? The Classic Trio snack combo arrived WARM. The nachos were on a metal tray from Grernsboro's jail house, and the cheese in the cheese sticks were barely warm. When my friend asked to speak with the manager on duty, we were stunned to see an attractive male in a flannel shirt appear as if he works on a farm instead. What happened to Applebee's dress code? I don't know what is going on at this location, but I can confirm I will no longer visit it. Mangement is a hot mess for certain!

The absolute worst service of any outback I have ever been to. I have lived in Florida, Virginia and North Carolina, this place takes the last place award. The food was horrible, broccoli uncooked and waitress had no idea. COVID is making it worse. More excuses for staff to be lazy! I will not eat here again.
