Applebee's Grill + Bar

We came to this location 4/25/25 at around 7pm. My group was a party of 4 and it was some folks waiting to be seated in the waiting area. I noticed when I walked in it was multiple open booths,tables and high tables. Sooo after about 25 minutes of waiting hardly nobody being seated l asked about the open seats and specifically asked if we could go to the bar area with the open high table. I was told NO but I wasn’t given a reason why. After about 40 minutes we were finally seated and it seemed like now that I inquired about all the open seats they wanna start seating folks faster. Server was nice but she was very slow on getting the things we needed like utensils which usually come to the table when you are seated. We ordered and our salads came but we can’t eat them because no utensils. I asked multiple times and after about 20 minutes we get em. I ordered a burger and I like them well done but not burnt and mines was basically dry and semi burnt and absolutely no condiments on the burger. Soooooo I had to wait another 15 minutes for that and to me overall it just wasn’t a good experience and I won’t return to this location. Look closely at pic and you’ll see open tables tha I was inquiring about.

Whenever I have the opportunity to go, I leave very happy with their attention, location and delicious food, it is an excellent place to share with friends or family, thank you very much for such good service to everyone

My old pal Britch Battleripper told me "If you can come down to Hayward I'll give you a one of the Platapus pups for your creek, they're weened and ready to set off on their own" Well, I accepted that Platapus...got a female because I already have a male down there, and this way they can produce more pups for my section of the Napa Creek. The way I see it...A celebration is in order, and there's no better way to celebrate than going to Applebee's Grill + Bar! So that's exactly what I did, and my chicken dinner was Amazing! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆

My appetizers were good. My kid loved his food. My food wasn’t good. My steak wasn’t cooked properly/ it seems as if it was steamed and it was extremely chewy. My green beans were overcooked and mushy. But the experience overall was good! Service was fast and my waitress was very nice.

The service is amicable and the food was average. We ordered wings and the buffalo sauce was not good as it was too salty. We also ordered salmon fish, tacos, shrimp pasta, ribs, lemon chicken rice, chocolate cake and cinnamon cake. The best out of all is tacos and chocolate cake and cinnamon cake dessert. It was the best and you would want to reorder it. Other than that ribs was delicious as I don’t eat pork/beef. Overall It was an avg restaurant in my experience. In terms of alcohol I am non alcoholic and I tried only the lemonade and it was good.

Devin was an amazing server, recommendations and attention to customer needs are top-notch. Food was standard fair, Rib-eye was decent, wings (Buffalo) kinda pass worthy but overall a decent experience.

Quick lunch , first time in this location , server was amazing but did nit catch her name, bathrooms (Men) pretty clean, close from the mall so I am sure to coming back, the drink was good too but forgot the name

We stopped by Applebee's just looking for a relaxed dinner but what we got was something genuinely special, thanks to Devin/Devyn. 10/10 service. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, kind, and genuinely fun to talk to. It didn't feel like "just a meal," it felt like being taken care of by someone who truly enjoys making people's day better. His vibe was easygoing, his timing was perfect. Honestly, if every server was like him, there would be world peace. He deserves a promotion and to have his booty gobbled into absolute oblivion.

Went here today around 7pm for the advertised 2 for $25 meal deal on a Friday night with my husband. We ordered the sweet Asian chile boneless wings appetizer, my husband ordered the crispy oriental chicken salad and I ordered their chicken Parmesan fettuccine. The appetizer had 10 pieces of boneless chicken and it was delicious. Everything was delicious and the servings were really big. It was really a very good deal! For $25, the food was really inexpensive , the ambiance also was good. I would say it had a sport ambiance and we liked it. Our server Nicko was very helpful and kind. We will definitely go back. Will try their 1/2 price select appetizers from 3-6pm and 9p onwards.

Excellent food and service! The salads were crisp and cold. The wanton tacos are delicious! They had plenty of meat, sauce, and coleslaw. Filled in a crispy crunchy wanton. We also had the onion rings which were just as good with large portions. Yes... we came for the 1/2 off appetizers during "Happy Hour". Our waitress Yahaira was an excellent server. She remembered our order without a tablet. Never forgot to bring "extra" requests. And always had a welcoming smile.

Great waitress Adriana Castano! She was very attentive, recommended us the main dish and always with a smile and great attitude. I invited a client for lunch, after we finished lunch I paid using the tabletop tablet , added my email address to get the electronic receipt and head back to the office. Upon checking my email, the receipt was not there (I needed the receipt for my expense report). I phoned the restaurant and Manager Oscar Sanchez was very kind, asked me for my contact details, and said he will email me the receipt. I didn't get the receipt the same day, but Oscar followed up and emailed it the following day first thing Am. Thank you Oscar Sanchez and Adriana Castano for your great customer service skills!!

Applebee's sounds like a mediocre American chain, so I was surprised by just how tasty their appetizer selection was! During happy hour, they offer 50% off certain appetizers, including the Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip, four super soft and chewy pretzel sticks, served with melted white cheddar beer cheese and honey Dijon mustard for dipping. We also got the Classic Combo, a sampler platter of four classic apps including Boneless Wings (we ordered them with Extra Hot Buffalo sauce), a hot and creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip served with tortilla chips, Chicken Quesadilla (grilled quesadilla with chipotle lime chicken, pico de gallo, and melted Cheddar cheese, served with chipotle lime salsa and sour cream), and Mozzarella Sticks served with marinara sauce. My favorites were the spicy breaded Boneless Wings and the cheesy Chicken Quesadilla, but everything was surprisingly flavorful and delicious. For our entree, the Riblet's Platter came with three slow-cooked riblets brushed with Honey BBQ sauce, and while this was a classic Applebee's dish, the riblets could have been more tender, and the sweet sticky sauce was a bit overwhelming. Nevertheless, the food here was good for what it was and came in generous portions at a decent value. The service, however, was rather slow and inattentive, and it would have been more efficient if we could order from the touchscreen sitting at each table. I

I'm 100% shocked that I'm even doing a review on Applebee's. After a V.R. session at San Ramon's Sandboxvr.com I was starving. Didn't really have a craving for anything special so I thought hey 2 for $33 sounds workable. Dinner lunch and dinner. I go in and get seated immediately. My waitress Ashley was a 10/5. She was wonderful. She took my oder promptly, was kind and she checked in to ensure everything was good. The food was a pleasant surprise. I had no real expectations. I just hoped for something edible. Talk about a pleasant surprise. My food tasted damn good. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly. It was tender and flavorful. I thought I would have a water downed alcohol beverage. No, that was prepared very well. An to top everything off, the whole staff in general was on their A game. People were helping clear tables and seat customers.

Came here last Thursday during happy hour with a couple of friends. The appetizers were pretty good! We got some wings, chicken quesadillas, artichoke dip, and the wonton tacos. Could have done without the wonton tacos. Least favorite. Not enough filling and flavor was meh. My friends got some drinks and they said it was alright. Our server was Ashley and she was very friendly and prompt. Loved her! It did start to get crowded when we left. A bit noise y but that's fine.

It's been awhile since I've been to any Applebee's and glad to revisit after a long absence. Simple, no nonsense food and visited for lunch and dinner as mom received a coupon in the mail! Hey...can't pass up an offer... If you have realistic expectations, you'll enjoy some of the long-time favorites and burger and sandwich options: :: Spinach dip - eh nothing special and decent item to snack on with tortilla chips - sister enjoyed :: Won Ton tacos - almost like a Chinese chicken salad and sweet chicken pieces tossed in hoisin sauce :: Riblets - friend loves these. I tried a sample and taste the same as I remember, overly sauced, but tender. Definitely a pre-packaged item and re-heated IMO but I could be wrong :: The Dipper - decent option with seasoned, pre-packaged meat (seemed like it) and not freshly sliced to order. Still it was good Overall, food was 3-3.5 stars (for a chain restaurant) and service by Rosalie (dinner service) and Karen (lunch) was good. Friendly with follow up but could tell dinner service is a bit short staffed. As the evening progressed, Rosalie was working both sides of the restaurant as we had to get her attention for the check. Not her fault as she was hustling! Mostly family or older locals with a few people at the bar watching sports. Spot has been remodeled but still looks a bit dated with the low carpet and low ambient lighting ...plenty of tvs around the restaurant. This review is for today's visit. It's been YEARS since I came to Applebee's. Family and I have decided it is time to go back and revisit the places we used to visit to see if they are worth going back to. We came in on a weekend afternoon & seated pretty quickly. Had no problems with getting our drink order taken super fast. Service was 10/10. Our server was attentive, nice and very helpful. We never had to ask or wait for them to bring us something. Last fill up of soda, they were super quick to ask if we'd need anything else or if we just wanted boxes and bill. I am all for this type of service. Food was 8/10, We ordered simple. Salad (fresh) Burger (cooked well) Wings (hot) Ribs (good) and it pretty much all came out at the same time. We had ordered some appetizers as well. Nothing special but good price. The only reason why I didn't give them a five star was that the last person to wipe the table, they didn't do such a good job and it was kind of sticky and that's always a bummer to touch.

It's been years since I've step foot into an Applebee's. My husband and I decided to stop by for dinner since they had The Really Big Meal Deal, which comes with a burger/chicken sandwich, fries, and a soft drink for $9.99. We arrived around Wednesday around 7pm and we were immediately seated. I didn't have high expectations going in and thought that the interior was going to look old and outdated, but I was pleasantly surprised that it actually looked decent. It felt comfortable and cozy inside. Our server was super nice and friendly. She didn't rush us and gave us time to look over the menu. We just ended up ordering their Meal Deal since that was enough for the both of us. The chicken was a bit dry but the fries were hot and crispy. My husband thought the bacon cheeseburger was very average. I will be back to for their half-price appetizers since it's such a good deal. I am happy that I stopped by since I've always wanted to come back again after so many years.

Wow it has been approx 23 yrs since I was last here or to an Applebees I think I remember going to Applebees after the gym with my bff and our kids for dinner the steak ceaser salad lol I have to say the service is number one with kamiyah She has been attentive to our needs lol I wanted more celery sticks lol And checked on us often And we have not spent just $50 for dinner Usually 3x more of this amount and then the service sucks too lol Thank you Applebees for a nIce dinner this eve

You obviously know what you're getting when you come here -- I find the food to be pretty good but service is always fairly lacking. This last visit -- we ordered a kid's burger for my son with everything but it came out missing tomatoes. And my whiskey burger was supposed to come out medium but came out medium rare. Since it was getting late and we had to feed the kids, I just opted to eat the incorrect orders but found that mildly irritating. I feel they only ever have one server who has to manage more than 3-4 tables that always have at least 4 people dining at them. The big selling point for this franchise is the 2 for $26 deal my wife and I had; one appetizer, two entrees and two sides. This is an absolute steal and one of the best value purchases you can get when dining out. Their late night half price apps/HH specials are also to die for and something I've done going back to my high school/college years. I am very glad that is still on the menu and hope it doesn't go away. This is really good if you want a quick tasty meal at a reasonable price and have kids. But obviously, don't come in expecting fine dining.

Just stopped in for a cocktail and some appetizers. The service was great this time got a drink immediately & my appetizer soon after. With my entrée. But the ambience is relaxing.

First time here at this location Friend and I sat at the bar Venue is clean Bar was well stocked Customer service was friendly Prices were reasonable Drinks were good Food was decent Parking was easy to find Towards the end the vibe was rather off putting as there was 2 customers that were super drunk

Busy lunch with plenty of veterans there. Thankful for their service. The service was pretty good despite the busyness. The food was good too.

The service and the food quality has improved over the years. This almost feels like a different place than it was a few years ago, so maybe they are in fact under new management. The prices are very reasonable , there is a limited special menu that's pretty nice. The atmosphere is decent, I do like the fact that you can choose to sit at a table instead of a booth. The only thing I would do different is to pass on the mixed drinks as you could barely taste any alcohol in them.

I seen allot of bad reviews well today must've been my lucky day then because I ordered curb side pickup and it was ready exactly at the time it said which to be honest was really fast. I ordered the banging burger for 9.99 which came with fries and a drink. The burger was really good especially for the price it was actually waay cheaper than a drive thru. No complaints here. Just ready for a nap.

I went to Applebee's after work one night and the service was great. It wasn't really crowded. I love that I had the shrimp bowl, which was absolutely delicious. I was surprised at how good it was. It was light and fresh tasting, and the bartender poured a stiff drink for me that night was really good. I want to go back for the rest of the week. Definitely might go to after work and Applebee's is always and affordable price.

The food was cold! Everything! I got the 2 for $26. The ribs were cold. The fries were cold. The boneless wing were cold. The only thing not cold...The coleslaw!!! It was lukewarm. How funny is that. My girls whiskey burger was cold. It was supposed to have onion strings and they weren't on it. She asked for no pickles or tomatoes and both were on it. It was dry with no sauce. She asked for green beers but got cold fries! After reheating everything it didn't taste bad but this is still an epic mess up. Cmon Applebees!

Came here with my husband recently. The food was surprisingly really good. Mixed drinks were mediocre, too sweet and not enough alcohol. I had 2 and didn't feel anything. The price was okay. Bad service, our server was giving so much attention to my husband but not really acknowledging me at all. Very off-putting and disrespectful in my opinion. I tried the Dublin location and it was much better in all aspects. I will not be back to this location.

Was trying to order dinner from their website and it was completely crashing I wonder how many other customers they lost today July 10th 2025 at 4:00 p.m. hopefully they can get their website up and running smoothly

Kamiyah is amazing! She's the best waitress! The margaritas were on point. I love their chicken won ton tacos. The food was timely!

Party of 6 adults & 2 kids. We tried to eat here but the hostess immediately told us they expected a 50% tip. 50%!? I've never heard of that. Anywhere. 18% sure, even 20%. One restaurant told us 25% before... but 50%? Ridiculous. She went to the manager to confirm, a Hispanic male & he had told her although it's not required, it's highly recommended. When we asked if the 50% tip would be automatically added to our bill, the hostess just stood there and smiled at us. It was the most annoying, rude & craziest thing that's happened to me. I don't recommend coming here. Go to Famous Dave's next door. Great service, great food, great ambiance.

Been many times. They do something right to keep many, including myself coming back. A lot of people will dismiss this place as some chain not worth going to... but I've recently convinced a nay sayer to reconsider their view on this place. Applebee's does something right. If I had to specifically identify some pointers: its well run, the ambiance is outstanding, food quality is great and most importantly its friendly. Its well run. The communication among the team working here is outstanding. Everybody knows what the other is doing to the T. I think they have little walkie talkies. They work. The moment a table is ready there is a notification - even during the busiest times things work like a well oiled machine. Ambiance is outstanding. The sound level, the temperature... the types of seating. And coziness of it - I couldn't ask for more. Food quality is great. It has to be if popular country songs start raving about it. Walker Hayes fancy song puts it on the map. People don't go singing about Toyotas - they talk Maybach... All joking aside - there is some truth to it. This is a very casual spot but still above - way above your local Dennys. Most importanlty this is a freindly location. I've walked away many nights and the bar and staff are all very good at what they do - hospitality.

I like their burger and would always order it no fail, but today for some reason, we asked for a table for party of 8 for my grandsons birthday, when the host informed us that theres going to be automatic 50% tip for our party size. WHAT? Is this even legal?

Great specials all the time. I really enjoy the lunch specials and have always had great service as well as good food.

The chicken sandwich deal with endless fries... FAIL!!! If comparing to Chili's 3 for me deal, it's a MAJOR FAIL!!! The breaded chicken tasted like it was pre-fried and sitting in a warmer and someone just heated it up before serving it as a sandwich. It was really hot but not crispy, crunchy, or seasoned at all. When pulling back the breading, the chicken meat had a browning mark like it had been pre-cooked (roasted/baked) before being battered or over heated after being fried. There was a small portion of fries that came with the plate and I immediately asked for more fries sense it's endless fries. The waitress said I have to eat those first to get more fries... The portion was small. I told her these fries will be gone before she even gets to the computer or kitchen to put the order in. She then brought out more fries a lil while later. I didn't like that I have to eat all my fries first to put in an order for more when the draw-in, is endless fries and it's such a small portion. If I had to wait for my server to come back around to then put an order in, how long would I be waiting on fries to eat with my sandwich? If my sandwich is gone by the time the fries come out, I'm probably going to waste the fries.... I noticed the extra plates of fries that came out to myself and 2 others were more plentiful than the fries that initially came on the plate with the chicken sandwich. The fries were decent, seemed to have been basic frozen fries. Nothing special but nothing to complain about. The meal did come with a drink as well. I upgraded to add the Caesar salad which was an additional 3.99 I think. It was a pretty decent size, bigger than the one from Chili's 3 for me special. If you like tons of dressing, it would probably be for you. Not my preference but it wasn't a horrible salad. Would I go back for the chicken sandwich? That would be a firm (***k) NO! I would give the sandwich a 2 or 3 out of 10. It looked good tho, it just wasn't. The overall experience gets 2 stars because the service was ok and the food was edible, it was just not good. A, 1 star review would be for bad service or unfixed errors that I brought to their attention but I didn't say anything, so I wouldn't give a 1 star review for this.

It says online, on Yelp, on their website and on the sign at the door that they close at 12am but they said they close at 11 and refused to seat myself and 1 friend.

The food was not fresh. Onion rings were dry and tasteless and I didn't receive the boneless riblets I ordered and too much barbecue sauce on ribs which were not seasoned either. I always loved Applebees's so was very surprised I went through this. Perhaps it had to do with it being a delivery versus eating at the restaurant which made the difference.

Came here after a graduation for dinner and was disappointed. When ordering my drink I requested the waitress to please make it extra sweet as I'm not really a drinker, I enjoy it more when it's sweet and taste the slightest bit of alcohol in which she responded for me to try it first and she could make adjustments if needed, at first, I was upset as I know how I like my drinks BUT it did end up coming out pretty good so no complaints. However - the drink was the only good thing regarding this experience. We all ordered different items from wings, to steaks, to samplers, etc. and all the food was disgusting. We paid $400 and left more then half of our plates behind. Safe to say, we wouldn't return. I would come back for a seat at the bar to have a few drinks and eat elsewhere for sure.

We got there 50 minutes before closing and there was a bunch of other of other people who hadn't even gotten served yet so me and my wife go in and ask for a table for 2 all we wanted was a quick appetizer and some drinks keep in mind there was about 15 other customers in there. We go in and this short Mexican lady says they're closed when they close at 12:00 not at 11:14 I understand if we got there 20 minutes before closing but they could have easily taken the time to serve us and I give her a chance I say your closed at 11:23? And she hesitated and lied to us and said yes. This is completely unacceptable I wish I got her name but I will be taking this to upper management.

The best here was the ribs but pricey. We celebrated my family birthday here. Ribs were huge portion. The customer service here is very slow and not good.

This Applebee's location is off to the side of the Southland Mall. There is plenty of parking in this area as well. Surprisingly, it was pretty busy when I stopped by here. Service was a bit slow, but no major complaints. I ordered The Classic Combo Platter to share. It was a sample of the variety of appetizers they had to offer and it was perfect with how indecisive I was on what to get. It included boneless wings, chicken quesadilla, chips with spinach & artichoke dip, and mozzarella sticks. It was decent and filling as well - enough to share with a couple of people.

Food was well served and presented; I ordered 8 ounce steak with steam broccoli, both were good. The service is a little slow, but it's a busy atmosphere. The ambience is mixed with loud customers, children, bar group.

First off I came here at 1150 and the girl working the front gonna say we're actually closing early tonight let me go see if they kept the kitchen open mind you it's a bar full of people and at least 3-4 tables.. she came back and said the kitchen will stay open for a few more minutes and If I don't know what I want to eat I only have a few minutes to look at the menu I get a menu and then someone is standing there asking if I'm ready to order. I watched them turn away 3 other people saying they are closing early and I just wonder why a whole hour early!? Is management aware

Steaks over cooked and poor service. Server got orders wrong and forgot appetizer. When told of error, said she'd come back with correct side but never returned. Also did not come to check on us to see if we needed refills. Spoke to manager and asked for check. He sent server back who told us she was stressed out and her manager was very angry. Seriously! Didn't even give us a discount!

RAW Sirloin Steak!!!!! I ordered the 2 for $25 deal on Doordash. The price changed online and it was actually 2 for $30. Ordered Honey BBQ Boneless Wings for the appetizer and two Sirloin steaks entree cooked medium rare. Well, when I received the order it was RAW!!! The meat was still blue in the middle and the outside was a gray/blue color. Very disgusting!!! Never ordering from this Applebee's again!

Came here for dinner today. Our waiter Chris was very attentive, Food was good and didn't take long to come out. Give this man a raise! Very friendly staff and good atmosphere.

TO-GO Only: Got a $25.00 Gift card from here and decided to try this place i ordered on the app for pick up and it was nice and easy which i love convenience. I put in my order but i noticed there no place to leave comments for the chef. What if we need to make changes? My hubby likes his burger plain no sauce and i had to call to not include it but they told me bacon cheeseburgers always come without sauce. I was like cool but again there should b a comment section to leave for the chef. 2 for $25: Riblet Platter with French Fries Boneless wings: garlic parmesan bacon cheeseburger plain with Fries Strawberry Lemonade Overall?: Riblet platter did not understand how to eat it. There were bones everywhere. boneless wings: somewhat good Bacon cheeseburger: good. Strawberry lemonade: good. The chick that gave me my food was fast and quick which i always appreciate.

The happy hour was the deal my foodie friend and I went for. The margaritas were my target and his was beer. I ordered the "medium rare" and it came out super "well done". Super dried that I only could chew the center which was considered "medium". Lost my good food there. The house margaritas were made up of my disappointment. We ended up having three full ordered and two beers total. Didn't want to get too wasted during work weekday. Lol. Total bill was $68.68 not including tips which was good for two main courses with one appetizer and five total orders of the alcohol. Well spent.

I ordered through DoorDash and because of that I wasn't going to make a review on Applebees but then again this is not just on DoorDash. I placed my order and my driver kept communicating with me to keep me updated. He sent me a message stating he'd picked up my order and he sent a picture of proof. In this picture (pic below) sitting on his passenger seat, there was the brown Applebees paper bag and my food container OUT of the bag partially open. I was disgusted and heated. I called DoorDash, complained, cancelled my order and received my refund. Then I called Applebees, I asked if they sealed the bag, the young lady on the phone said, today we haven't been. I told her what happened and she said there's no reason why the driver should have taken out the order. I said if their scared bag was sealed then he would not be able to take anything out. She had nothing else to say. I hung up and decided to go ahead and hold both Applebees and DoorDash accountable.

Applebees has a nice big lot with plenty of parking. Great meal deals and can accommodate mid to large sized parties without much of a wait on the weekends. The food is ok, pretty standard. My little nephew wanted to celebrate his birthday here so we did. They unfortunately don't have outdoor seating and the masks are option for wait staff. But some staff did wear them. Our waiter Devin was AMAZING. My nephew spilled his drink at least twice and Devin just kept bringing him a new one and saying not to worry about it. Devin was happy, smiling, attentive, competent and overall fantastic throughout the entire experience. I am not a huge Applebees fan but I would legit come back to this location for the great service from Devin. The rest of the staff we interacted with were also very nice; they even got together to sign my nephew happy birthday! Thanks for helping us celebrate and making sure we had a great time!

I don't like this location. At all. Came here on my birthday this year with my husband. Wanted to have a few drinks and order some good food. When the waitress came we ordered our drinks and that's when she carded us. I'm over 30 and my husband is over 40, so I kindly asked if it was necessary because my husband had forgotten his wallet at home. She very rudely said he has to have a photo id. He did have his work badge but she said it wasn't good enough. I wanted to leave right then but we were on a time crunch and my husband said it was okay, he didn't need to drink it was my birthday. This honestly ruined my whole experience at this place, on my birthday. We even asked to speak to the manager because we had a copy of his ID on my phone. But he also said no, rules are rules. I worked in customer service and also in the food industry, they were just being difficult and we only ordered one drink and an appetizer and left after that. So much for my birthday lunch. I will never be back to this location. Kindness is hard to find these days

WaitTime- ordered through door dash. Food arrived hot. Customer service - I have ordered previously several times and looks like they changed packaging. Well packed. Quality- food arrived hot and three cheese penne is my go to. WONTON tacos is a MUST TRY!!

Second time coming in two weeks. So I thought I'd leave a review. Niko the host is great, very friendly and attentive. He makes small talk, just the right amount while being pleasant and doing his job. Ana, our server is also very nice and got us our food promptly. The food is okay. It's Applebees. But it's a really good deal! Perfect for a family.
