Eat here if you don't care what you're eating.
I have been going to this applebees for years, and slowly they have driven me away and finally I am no longer going.
The service is fine, but their food is super high in sodium and very high in calories. They had a couple dishes that fit within a healthy calorie diet and they were neatly contained in a low calorie menu. That worked for me quite nicely, and I went there because of that.
Recently they did away with this menu, spread the low calorie items among the other items and discontinued the meal I ate most often.
I tried, but it is a total pain to seek out and try to have an idea of exactly what you are eating here.
I often brought groups of four+ on my suggestion. They knew my face and greeted me like a friend. I was lying $90+ checkNo more.
Recently I got in a relationship with a girl who is lactose intolerant, and who's daughter is very allergic to peanuts. So between having no calorie info easily available, and no allergen info on their menu, it's just too hard to care and eat here.
I feel almost embarrassed by the staff reaction when I have to ask for an allergen menu, because they have to go searching for it, then I want to know nutritional info... basically it sucks eating here if you care about what you are eating. I tried calling and talking to a manager on a Wednesday evening, and sat listening to static on hold for 10min before giving up.
I'm sure they will stay in business, but they have lost mine. Bummer too, I like the curb side service.
As an update: I just realized that when they charged me for a dessert in error they gave me a $5 off coupon to make it up to me. Only problem... the coupon was already over a week expired when they handed it to me.
