Applebee's Grill + Bar

Family restaurant. Decent food. Standard service. Some servers are friendly and more service oriented. This chain seems to be very supportive for their local community as seen by the pictures of the events they participated in. Had dinner at this outlet for 5 times within a week as I was staying at the hotel nearby. Dinner crowd was pretty good. So, I assume locals in the area support and/or enjoy the food. I tried Bacon Cheese Burger twice, and Ribs, Shrimps and Chicken Sandwich once each. Burger was my go to which is why twice. Shrimps are food too. Chicken Sandwich was a bit boring. Ribs was my No because it was too small portion. Cookie and Cream Shake was fantastic but the standard varies depending on who is preparing. Yes, I had it 5 times. Overall, decent meal for a traveler and I will return when I am in town again.

The server took forever for everything. The grilled chicken on my salad was still cold. Gross. Server forget utensils. Forgot our drinks..then when the drinks came. They came with fruit flies. The lettuce was wilted, and the dressing seemed spoiled. The server took forever to return, so no point in reporting the meal because it probably wouldn't be done till the next day..I won't be returning to this location anymore.

Food was good for the price, service could had been better (had to wsit too long for refillls and napkins). Atmosphere was good, music was a little bit too loud for my personal taste thou, but that’s ok.

Ehhhh…. The service was spotty at best. The guy at the bar was attentive and working hard. His female partner was unaware when people needed refills or even ready to order. She spent most of her time unloading the dishes and talking with a friend. The soup was good but the burger had no flavor. Maybe the service is better on the floor. The male bartender was fine but he was doing everything.

It is a nice atmosphere to sit in, alot of families around. The service is good (thanks Diana), but the food is unfortunately quite disappointing. The salmon we had was not fresh, and the fries were not good, either. The burger looked quite miserable, and tasted ok, not amazing. We woulc not eat at Applebee’s again.

the food was delicious and fresh. our waiter super kind and generous. she went out of her way to help anyone in need. thank you trisha for your hospitality! i hope we get her as our server again someday.

Stopped by Applebee’s for the first time in a very long time and was pleased to see the New Orleans-themed menu. Had to order this cool rainbow lemonade just because and the shrimp and sausage Nola pasta was solid. And thanks Kalvin for amazing service tonight!

This was my first time having Applebees and I was pleasantly surprised. - Pretzel appetizer is insanely filling. They were crispy on the outside and chewy on the in. Salty as hell but I just swiped the crystals off the top and it was fine. - Mozzarella sticks came out piping hot with cheese pull. Lots of marinara sauce for dipping. Delicious. - Chicken tenders were crunchy and flavorful. Not very juicy but tasty. - Ribs didn't have a ton of meat on them but flavor was satisfying for the expectation that I had going in. The 2-for deals are phenomenal for the amount of food. You can get anything and they balance out the price between the $20-$30 ranges. Service was also very good when I went. Our waiter came by frequently to check on us and got beers and food out quickly.

I've been a big fan of Applebee's lately, just because of all the super deals they offer now, from the $9.99 bacon cheeseburger deal to the great 1/2 off appetizers at Happy Hour. But this time, I was gonna try the 2 for $25 deals they have listed on the menu. Here you get 2 entrees' from the list, an appetizer to share and two drinks. For $12.50 per person, that's quite a deal for food these days. I was in the area for work and had just one other co-worker with me for dinner. The other guys wanted pizza. To get to this location is a bit tricky, get off the 280 at Saratoga and head south. Just after the exit turn right immediately, it's easy to miss cause it comes up fast. Getting outta here is the tricky part, you can only turn right out of the lot, so you might have to circle around to get back to the freeway. There's plenty of parking and the inside looks similar to most Applebee's. We get in without a wait and get a nice table. Our server is friendly and answers any questions we have. For the 2 for $25 deal, we order the onion rings for our appetizer as well as the mozzarella cheese sticks on the happy hour deal. For entree's I got the Chicken Parmesan Fettuccine and my co-worker, she got the Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad. We both got diet Pepsi for our drinks. That should be plenty to eat. Hey, we work hard all day, not sitting at some desk! The appetizers arrive. The onion rings are hot and crispy as usual. These are the corn meal coated crunchy kind as opposed to the beer battered puffy coated ones. The mozzarella sticks are hot and yeah they stretch like on Instagram! No, I'm not getting a pic of that! The entree's arrive. My Chicken Parmesan Fettuccine is tasty, but the pasta is a little over cooked for my taste, but some people like it this way ... NOT al dente. The chicken is moist inside. My friend's Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad was very good, crispy lettuce and a good dressing as well as grilled chicken. This was quite a deal for the price. The extra appetizer was under $5 bucks at happy hour. I'll come back to Applebee's for any of the food deals they have going now! I just hope they keep going. The $10 bacon cheeseburger deal is not listed on the printed menu, so you have to ask for it from the server.

Disappointed and Won't Be Coming Back I usually don't write reviews, but my experience at this Applebee's was just awful. The service was painfully slow -- we waited nearly [75 minutes ] just to get drinks, and even longer for our food. When it finally arrived, everything was either cold or overcooked. The server barely checked in on us, and it felt like they didn't care at all. On top of that, the restaurant wasn't clean -- sticky tables, dirty floors, and a bad smell near our booth. For the prices Applebee's charges, you'd expect at least decent quality and basic customer service. This location seriously needs better management and staff training. I won't be coming back until things improve. To add on my Oreo milk shake came with 3 Oreo crumbles no whip cream even though I asked for it this shit is pathetic I expected more after my game but thank you, you jus lost a loyal customer

Spinach and artichoke dip- chips were stale and old Mozzarella sticks- lukewarm Three "cheese" penne pasta- watery, white sauce with no flavor, random, cold, small sliced tomatoes on top for some reason Burger and fries- ok Server was friendly. Won't be back.

Great cheap deals! Quick fast service good portions and we got seated quick for a party of two. Lots of people in here! I'd come back. I'm shocked I haven't tried it till now! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and I loved all the sides!

Came here on a Saturday around 8:30pm to try the molten chocolate lava cake aka the Triple Chocolate Meltdown. There was lots of seating available. Ordered one cake with vanilla ice cream and it was ready within 10-15 minutes. Triple Chocolate Meltdown (3.5/5): The molten chocolate was great - each bite melted in my mouth. The ice cream, on the other hand, was a let down. It didn't taste like anything which was disappointing because it would have really enhanced the flavors of the lava cake. Overall, my experience was average. Service was slow - we had to flag down several waiters in order to get the check which took 15 minutes. I don't think I would return

Did a take out order. It was not ready when we got there. There wasn't anyone at the front for ten plus minutes. The food wasn't good. We got a Handcrafted burger, Nachos and Crispy Chicken salad. The burger bun was fresh and everything else was not. Very slow service. Inside was also not clean. Things on the floor. Wont be back sorry

3.5 stars If there's one thing I love at Applebee's, it's the chicken wonton tacos. I have been going to Applebee's for over 20 years and those chicken wonton tacos is my favorite item on the menu. I can literally eat six of those as my entree and leave happy. The skillets are fine and nothing amazing but it will leave you hungry. I recently got the shrimp skillet and it wasn't really sizzling lol. Service is friendly and plenty of parking at the Saratoga Avenue location. This location has a lot of different specials throughout the weekdays and I still haven't tried it but whenever I get the chance, I will check out the weekday daytime specials in the future.

Getting better. The food is better and the service is rocking again. The next thing they need to do is invest some money into a refurb. The walls need scrubbing. The booths need new springs and seats.

Food was good. We enjoy the salads - Oriental salad with grilled chicken and the Strawberry salad. The bread sticks that come with it are delicious - hot and tasty. We also like the chiken tenders here. The 2 for $27 deal is worth it and we also get the spinach and artichoke dip with this combo. Bar seating and service is excellent. Tony is excellent and makes sure we are taken care of. While we have been coming here for quite a while, I noticed, at the last 2 visits, that the spinach and artichoke dip has more spinach and almost no artichokes in it. a little disappointing but it doesn't take away from the flavor of this dip. Portions are quite generous although it's inconsistent on how much or little dressing is put on the salad from one visit to the next. Again, not enough to deter us from coming back!

Excellent place for family dinners EXCEPT today it was so cold in the upper long that I could hardly wait for my meal and finish to get out the door! We will be back but if it is freezing like this we will not stay! You control the temperature

I keep seeing reviews on how bad the services is here and sometimes I can agree.. but the last few times I had the best server and I now try to make sure we get him whenever we can his name is KALVIN such an amazing man so nice and friendly I really appreciate him ..he always makes sure our drinks are filled, and checks in on us.. iv had severs that never check in on us or even filled our drinks until last minute and this man makes it a point to see if his tables are good no matter how busy he is .. THANK YOU KALVIN !!

Me and my wife recently received a gift card for Applebee's. We haven't been for a while so thought we would give it a try and this is the closest one to home. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a disappointment. The food was OK except for Caesar salad I showed our server the salad and it was missing croutons for both me and my wife so she went back and brought us three croutons each literally six croutons on one plate three a piece. The server did not look happy at all serving us or even being there. It took us a while to even get her attention. The inside was good a lot of people were showing up for the football game a place seemed pretty clean so that's one of a few places I can give. Hopefully we try again in the future because we did enjoy our margaritas, but that's about it.

This Applebees never fails, can't believe I paid $17 for an order of their waffle fires and this is the amount they sent. Not even half an order. I get it times are rough but ripping off people is just pushing them away to not have any service. This is pathetic and a joke.

So here we go again, last Friday I went to pick up the make up order from the debacle of May 5th; I set up my order in advance so there would not be an issue (I emailed it to Carlos the Manager Tuesday morning), informing him I would be there to pick up the 2 orders of tacos and gift certificate/card $15.00 that he had promised at 1pm. I arrived at 12:45pm and of course no one was aware of my order; but the manager on duty put in my order - after a waitress confirmed the order from reading the email I sent to Carlos on Tuesday....funny how it took 3 waitstaff to turn in 1 order - thereby leaving the restaurant empty momentarily . It was a hot day someone could have asked if I wanted something to drink? Why, do you think I was sitting there? After about a full 5 minutes a waitstaff member showed up and I asked if it would be a problem to get a coke? They said no, it would be 4 something (not politely, but rude) I said fine And for an added note I did not receive the gift certificate/card for $15.00 *Service was terrible especially when there was no one in the place and the waitstaff appear as if they don't want to be there.

Our server was fantastic. She was one of the nicest friendliest waitresses I have ever had the pleasure of having in a restaurant. She was polite, attentive and just the nicest. Our food was good. Salad was large with a very nice bowl to be able to mix the dressing into the contents. Burger was well done and the fries well cooked. I don't recall the waitresses name but I very much appreciate how you treated me and my family. Thank you!

Went out on a Thursday night. Place was mildly busy. Got the Won Ton tacos, because I gotta. Also, got some Mozzy sticks. For entree had the $9.99 Cheeseburger and fries. Solid deal, burger was as expected. Kids had chicken tenders and alfredo pasta. All the food was good, no issues. All in all ok food for a decent price.

Haven't had applebee's in soooooo long. First time @ this location & it did NOT disappoint. Although the service can be better by hiring more staff, the food was pretty good!!! The sizzling plates were super tasty & this restaurant is something you go to if you're hungry and not expecting anything "fancy". The ambiance inside is very homey with tv's to watch games etc. Their menu has a variety of things from salads to steaks to sandwiches, etc.

Food was good ! But costumer service was the best part of our dinner our server Calvin I believe that's he's name ,was just great we literally didn't had to ask for anything he make sure we had everything we needed it from napkins to ranch , refills ! He make sure it was ok for my son to order he's own food ! He's was just great !

My hubby and I went on a dinner date last night. The customer service we had was amazing. Everyone was so nice. Kalvin was the best man ever. Always checking in on us, making sure everything was okay and that we had everything we needed. Everyone was so nice and friendly from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. A great team at this Applebees. 11/10. The drinks and food were great.

Omg the food was so delicious and I haven't had a meal that makes me want to come back so fast it's was so tasty it hit the spot and I can't wait to come back for more The service was awesome and fast the ambiance was amazing and chill

I just would like to give a huge shout out to Clint. He went above and beyond. I had a pick up order and there was a small mishap. My mom is currently in the hospital and he came and delivered the correct meal so I did not have to drive back and I truly appreciated him going the extra mile to fix the small inconvenience.

I would not recommend our server Nancy she was really pushy with me and my daughter I wasn't that hungry so I wanted to get something from the kids menu, she was like I couldn't get anything because I wasn't twelve and under so I had to pay for a whole meal I didn't even finish!

My husband convinced me to come and I don't regret it except for that second beer I splurged on and had major acid reflux later (by no fault but my own). I just enjoy the food and atmosphere. The service is good. The hostesses can always use more training. Customer service seems important.

Outstanding service, courtesy of Diana B. We had a party of 10 on a busy Saturday night and felt right at home and well taken care of. I felt my needs were being met without me even asking. The situation was complex, with our party having two groups of orders but the server took care of us with no issues.

So angry about what I have today! I asked the waitress can I reduce some portion of the rice and black beans of the chicken bowl. She rejected me very quickly and said everything already prepared, nothing can change. After order the food when I ordered the cocktail I ask reduce some sugar, she said she can't. I mean even I ate on McDonald, some parts of the order still can make customize. Here it's a restaurant and food should be cooked fresh and hot, right? I don't know what's she name. She wore a grey uniform top. I think there was only two waitress work during the lunch. BTW, we been waiting 5mins at the entrance to wait host took us to a seat. Never came back again. So disappointed.

Had my birthday at this location. The experience started off with a problem of the free desert by the waiter not being helpful. I was able to inquire with the hostess regarding the advertised birthday desert. She assisted with the manager which resolved the issue and she helped us with a memorable birthday. I am giving 5 stars mainly because of the hostess.

Umm...how do you have paper kids menus with activities on them but no crayons...? And no kids cups! ‍ Not kid friendly at all. Poor management at this location. Not all Applebees are like this one, just 555 Saratoga Ave. bring your own Crayolas!

We went to Applebee's for dinner around 6pm on a Wednesday night. We haven't been to this location (or any Applebees for that matter) in years! The dining room was just about empty with a table here and there, but the bar was almost full. We ordered their special Cajun Chicken Pasta and the $9.99 burger with endless fries. I wonder if this is trying to get some of that "Red Robins" business? Waitress was friendly and fast, brought our drinks right away and the food followed after in about ten minutes. Pretty fast! Pasta was good and so was the burger. But it wasn't great. A very good meal on a budget! Would recommend.

This is absolutely by far one of the best experiences. I've had an Applebee's in my entire life.! Our server was nothing but friendly, attentive, & super sweet. I went ahead and ordered the steak with a side of mashed potatoes, and my boyfriend ordered their Smashburger. We also order some chicken wontons for our appetizer. Everything was cooked to perfection, and was brought out shortly after we had placed our order. I believe my servers name was Diana ! She was just phenomenal. I truly would drive over an hour to just go to this a Applebee's for her. This Applebee's, was quite busy, but clean. It simply look like the traditional Applebee's with their big TVs showing sports & neon lights.

My fiancé took us out on a Saturday afternoon. No lunch specials on weekends. Our kids enjoyed the pizza and Mac and cheese we tried the 2 for $32 he ordered the chicken lime and I tried the broccoli chicken Alfredo and also had mozzarella sticks with it as a starter. The food is good and the server was okay. She brought out the food but never asked if we needed anything else. So I wasn't able to add anything, just decided to ask for the tab and enjoy dessert somewhere else.

Pésimo servicio el mesero fue muy amable para mujer encargada que estaba en ese momento del restaurant no sabe preparar cócteles aparte q se tardó más de media hora en darnos una simple cerveza y una bloody Mary que preparó estaba pésima le pedí q me la cambiara por favor me la quito obviamente pero nunca regresó con mi nuevo trago al momento q le pregunté por q no me lo trajo de nuevo fue muy grosera al contestar!!!

Unfortunately, I didn't like this place very much. The first thing I didn't like was the sticky tables that looked like they weren't polished very well. The floors were dirty. The cutlery wasn't very clean either. The food tasted average, I didn't enjoy it, I just satisfied my hunger. What I did like was our waiter. He served us perfectly!

A good place for late night happy hour. We decided to get drinks & a bite during their 9pm to close happy hour. The drinks were tasty & affordable, quesadillas were decent! My expectations weren't that high given the time of day but the service was great to my surprise.

This location is amazing at pick up orders. I've not dined in here but I've picked up maybe 5-6 times. And every. single. time. the food has been hot (even when I schedule it). The packing has been great. And everything has always been correct. Even when I make adjustments (no celery, sauce on side etc) it has always been correct. You can tell the person packing actually cares. This is rare for pickup orders. Most locations tend to get 1 thing wrong pretty much every single time. I'm impressed by their standard. Pickup has also always been easy. I've been helped fast every time. Once, I think the person I talked to got sidetracked by a table or something and someone else came immediately and told me they'll help me out instead. I didn't even notice and said I was already being helped. If you want consistent, just OK food (it's applebee's after all) but exactly how you'd like it this location is the place to go. I applaud the staff. They're great.

Haven't been to Applebees in years. The burger fries drink 9.99 deal lured me back. Had to see and compare it to chilis similar offer. Didn't see a sign but I probably missed it in one of their windows nor did I see it on any menu on the table but asked the waitress and they said they do offer it. Choice between a chicken sandwich and bacon cheeseburger. The bacon cheeseburger was fantastic and the fries were crispy and warm. Bottomless fries and fountain drinks. After taxes it's under $11. Pretty incredible if you ask me. Cheaper than pretty much any fast food even with leaving a tip. Chilis and this deal aren't bad at all. I went to shake shack the other day and this Applebees burger and fries are way way better and for less. Service was good too. Place is clean and a lot of screens to watch sports.

We came on a Sunday around noon for lunch with the elderly parents. Was seated straight away without fuss and Jonathan V was our server who was patient, attentive and polite. Maybe the service sucks late night from some reviews, but not today. Got the 2 for $35 with onion rings and two entree's of shrimp+chicken with mashed potatoes. GF also ordered 10 boneless wings. All the food and I mean ALL THE FOOD was fresh and good, not salty or feeling frozen(even if it was). It came out fast and hot. From lunch to drink specials applesbee's is indeed eating good in the neighborhood. Will be back!

We visited on a Sunday evening hoping to try their unlimited boneless wings deal. We waited in line for about 15 minutes for a party of 2. We were seated a few minutes before the 49ers game ended. After we were seated, we waited for about 15 minutes before we were able to flag down a waiter. He was not responsible for our table, so he went to get the waiter that was supposed to serve us. After another 15 minutes, the waiter still didn't show up. We were over it by that point and notified the hostess that our waiter never showed up. This was a horrible dining experience and we will not be returning to this location.

Love this place. Great place and great service. Maurilio was our bartender and he's very attentive and friendly. I ordered the steak and it was delicious. Juliet the manager was helping in the bar and made sure we were doing ok all the time. We'll be coming back because of the environment, especially for sports games.

My first time in this branch and it was a great experience. I ordered a steak with mash potatoes and Mexican rice and it was delicious. The service was wonderful and the food and drinks came quickly. Highly recommended.

This Applebees is right off of I-280. There is ample parking and seating inside. We came on a weekday night and were seated immediately in a booth. Our server was really nice and patient in answering our questions and double-checking prices for the cocktails for us upon request. The ambiance was nice and there were many families who came out for dinner. We ordered the Crispy Cheese Bites which came with House-Made Ranch and Firecracker Mayo and the Mucho Tipsy Leprechaun which was the $5 cocktail of the month. The Tipsy Leprechaun was good and not too sweet. The Crispy Cheese Bites were way too salty. The only way to slightly offset the taste was to eat with the Firecracker mayo, but even then you could still taste the salt. The mozzarella inside was warm and chewy but not really stretchy but still overall still pretty good to eat. It was just the outside that was a bit too salty. I've had appetizers here before and this was the first time I didn't like them. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the drinks and other appetizers.

Came here a friday night and was helped by Diana, she provided great service fast and super friendly! She checked in with us several times and made our experience here so great! Food was served pretty fast and she made sure my steak was cooked how I wanted! Thanks Diana 5 stars to you!

Food was good. I think they forgot to put tequila in the margarita though . It was fairly loud and busy. Good place to go if it's late.

My wife and I were both satisfied with the food quality. The waiter made himself fairly sparse and it took a surprisingly long time to get our food even for a Sat evening. The restaurant was fairly full, so we had to sit in the bar area, which was fairly noisy, as one would likely expect. The biggest disappointment was that I came here specifically for the "mix and match" unlimited ribs, chicken and shrimp, only to find out that you had to order them one at a time. I understand that they don't want to waste food, but I even asked if they could bring a half of each simultaneously, but no go. The email advertisement I received said nothing about this sequential requirement. :-(

I've visited this Applebee's location several times in the last few weeks. Main reason = the Bahama Mama. This drink is sooo good. I wanna drink like 20...but then I wouldn't be able to walk out. The Shark Bowl drink is also good. It even has the candy gummy sharks in it. I love those. The appetizers are tasty here. I always walk in and seat myself at one of the tables around the bar area. So far I've been able to find a table right away everytime. The service has been super quick and really friendly servers. Parking is easy, big lot so even if it's a little busy, no prob to find parking.

Exactly what I needed on a dreary night - ordered take out (this is def a take out place for me). Just wanted some good ol' chicken tenders and fries with honey mustard and spinach artichoke dip with tortilla chips, and it was all so yummy and hit the spot. Had silverware and got extra honey mustard too. Everything was great, and my bf had no problem picking it up from the restaurant (although he recommended they do the carside to go way that olive garden has to make it a better experience). Overall, a good and convenient place to grab some takeout, particularly if you're staying at the hotel next door.

Came here for dinner with my family (party of 6) and we had a wonderful experience. Kelvin was our server and he was so nice and attentive. He gave great recommendations and was prompt with refills and asking if there was anything else needed. The food came out promptly and was all delicious.
