Applebee's Grill + Bar

We typically like Applebee's for simple meal with kids with variety options including veggies. This time we were very pleased, because sometimes the quality of food depending on the location may vary. This place was clean and nice, servers were very nice, food was simple and tasty. We took ribs and salmon, broccoli, mashed, coleslaw. Very simple items that in different places may be too salty, too many added spices or just not looking presentable. Here everything was good and yummy. Thanks. We will definitely stop again on the way from OC beach.

We are from out of town about 2 hour away from home. Lamar was amazing. He has an awesome personality. The food came out perfect. Lamar made sure that we had a great time and enjoyed everything. We will definitely be back. It was nice to see that all employees were actually keeping busy, working together and not standing around. Great work ethic tonight.

We visited Ocean City for my birthday weekend and on the way out, Sunday afternoon, we decided to stop and eat at Applebee's. Conny was our server and early in our visit I told my wife that she knew what she was doing and was good at what she did. Conny was excellent. Something on my wife's part of our order wasn't made correctly and she told Conny who brought the manager, Tiffany. She was very understanding and made sure the issue was satisfied. In the process, my wife told her we were traveling for my birthday weekend and the manager offered a birthday dessert and asked if it was okay if she and the team came over to sing Happy Birthday. They came and sang and brought the dessert and it was incredibly fun! Keep in mind I'm in my early 50's... lol Overall, the attitude here is great and it spreads from the top down. This was our second time there for this trip, and the first time was a good experience as well, though it was Friday night so the crowd was different, much younger. I recommend anyone to eat here. You know what your going to get at any Applebee's and you have to order to your palate, but finding a place with a great staff and atmosphere is not always a given. My five stars is also because this is a place we know we will visit again on our next trip.

I went here with my girlfriend tonight, and we both got the $15.99 endless boneless wing deal. My girlfriend wanted to surprise and treat me, so she paid via the handy kiosk on the table while we were eating. The food was very good, however, when we ordered our second helping, we were informed that since we already paid, we couldn't have any more because our order couldn't be reopened. I understood that if that's the policy, then we were beat, so I didn't put up a fuss and we left. I felt it was a bit silly that they couldn't bring us out another round, considering the food was advertised as all you can eat, and that's what we paid for.

Loved it, David and or dilly is an amazing bartender and I had the most wonderful time with my friends and at a great price would come back Applebees and silly are my spirit animal

The food was really good especially for a late night munch after a basketball tournament. Overall, the atmosphere was awesome and our waiter was awesome. Terrence was an awesome dude and made us feel comfortable as we are from a different state. Thanks to Terrence and the manager of the establishment for being awesome!

They Handled the Saturday night crush of customers very well. Great food and an excellent waiter. We will be back!

Friendly fast service! Food was hot and delicious. Perfect Keto meal! Ordered the sirloin with shrimp. Selected cheesy broccoli and green beans as sides. Steak was cooked perfectly. Will be back!

Went to Applebee's for our "date night" while visiting the shore (after almost 50 years we still have date nights). We love the " two for $" price and selection. Food came out sizzling hot. Our mozzarella stick appetizer could have been hotter. Marie was our server and was friendly, professional and made us feel welcome. Of course our date night included a stop at Lowe's.

The food is pretty good for an Applebee's, however the wait is so long! I ordered one thing and it took at least 30 minutes to get to my table. And that happens every time I go there, even when it's slow. The servers are always very friendly though.

Alayna was amazing, my family and I felt very at home and welcomed. Knowledgeable, friendly, and full of energy. My kids can't wait to come back and I felt I needed to give her the proverbial "tip of the hat"

Best Applebee's. Jay was wonderful. She was funny and nice and helped us order. Would definitely come back.

Come here often and the past two times have been incredibly disappointing. Dined in for late night dinner tonight and had terrible service. After finally taking our order, our waitress disappeared. The food took almost an hour and all we got were a burger, pasta, and an app. She finally brought the food out half done and no utensils. We thought maybe she'd come back but never did. After TEN MINUTES my sister had to go to the bartender from across the room to ask for a fork. Pasta was getting cold. The waitress never came back to check on us, refill waters, take plates etc. it was so disappointing. After we were clearly done eating she again took forever to bring the check. Like I said I come here a lot and never had service this slacking. It's one thing if the restaurant is busy but there were only three tables seated and we saw her the entire time talking to the kitchen staff through the employee doors.

Our waitress was super friendly and attentive... however the meal itself was subpar. We ordered the crispy cheese curds - they were amazing - so we were hopeful about our meal. However the Mac and Cheese - tasted like butter and it was super dry - no "extra" cheese topped on it like pictured in the menu. The chicken was hard and stale / the cut up bacon strip was undercooked.The salad wasn't bad - but again - the chicken was over cooked and hard.

Food delicious service is so kind and it is so calm and peacfull love it It's got a good old vibe to it and it has nice furniture and wood very comfy and calm

Applebee's really is my guilty pleasure and I don't care who knows it... it always performs and it's always there for me. Some people choose fast food places... I choose Applebee's. You aren't getting any crazy amazing service (usually left waiting a little longer) or five star meal but when you want something simple and easy, this is where I go. 2 for $27 is awesome. An app and two entrees, plus two drinks came out to around $50. Can't beat it. **Get the perfect margarita! Comes with the shaker and pretty much equals 3 drinks. Better than other drinks that are $15 for half a martini glass

We ordered BBQ wings, chicken Alfredo, and spinach artichoke dip for a late night snack and Applebees did NOT disappoint! The wings were juicy, cooked well, And not overly greasy. The chicken Alfredo had a good portion, and was flavorful. Finally, the spinach artichoke dip was exactly what we hoped for as it had a generous portion of chips with a delicious dip to enjoy. We will definitely be back!

It's the little things. First this the second time I have ordered take out and my extra side sauces, that I am charged for, have not been in the order. Also I understand the employees work for tips but the on line service jams a tip down your throat that auto goes to 25%? Why am I tipping that much before I get the service? Clearly the little forgotten things like extra sauces is being overlooked. Also there is always a wait when you come to pick the food up.

Applebee's is usually our go to. But they messed up my order big time. Asked for my opinion and then sent a $5 off code if I put in a $25 orderI ordered the spinach dip. Not only were most of the chips stale. But the Styrofoam container had a burn mark on it and not a little one. Then I ordered the chicken quesadillas it did not list jalapeños because I checked I don't like them. But it was loaded with them. So yeah thanks for that great meal. I waited for a reply NOTHING before posting this. The order was placed January 21,2022

Riblets were fine. Usual. Cant provide pic of steak platter. Had to send back--ordered medium rare and arrived medium. Broccoli was so grossly overdone it reminded me of Grandma's canned spinach. Steak just re-arrived. More done than first serving Don't order steak. Matt the waiter was eager and apologetic. I guess all you can say (quoting my wife) "what do you expect, it's Applebee's." Manager was equally apologetic and, appropriately, removed entree from bill.

Holy god. This hit the spot. Me and the woman stopped in here after a winter day trip to the shore to gamble our daughters' college fund. Luckily we didn't lose, doubled and had enough to treat ourself to eat good in the hood. Woman got buffalo wings and spinach dip. Delish if I do say so myself. What did I get? I got a big ol Tex mex salad. That baby comes with plenty of ranch AND a taco bowl. And get this, sour cream, guacamole, pico, beans AND cheese. It was paired with a shark tank drink. That thing had cute candy in it! We are stuffed and ready for our drive back to Pennsylvania (the more superior stage) but we will be returning.

Waited 20 very patient minutes to be seated while the place only had 6 tables seated so the place was empty. Once seated, the waitresses waited on 2 tables that was seated after us. We were so blatantly ignored that I just said maybe they don't like waiting on Muslims, got up and left with my husband and very disappointed 3 year old . We'll take our money elsewhere. Let the robots take their jobs, they'll do better.

My family and I went to this child run establishment last night. When the items we ordered came out the cheese bites were burnt buffalo bites heavily breaded morsels of chicken drenched in hot sauce. The sweet and spicy chicken sandwich was so raw , I don't even think it touched the grill. Our waitress was non informative on any of the items on the menu. Manager needs to go back to class to learn how to manage. The only thing good I can say the soda and water were excellent!

5 stars for Applebee's. We love it. The service is always great and the price reasonable. 2 for $27 is a good deal. Kid friendly. Perfect margarita really made my day. Tori our waitress was super nice and attentive.

the place was empty and the food took forever. i waited with my famil... finally the food comes i had boneless wings and mozzarella sticks and my mom and dad had the Rose Bowl and it was so cold and raw i even tried it. we told everyone they just gave us a little bit of rice in the rice is mixed up in the rice bowl and they were giving us attitudes and not helping us to get nice food

First let me say that I am not a fan of any big chain restaurants. I usually avoid them at all costs. Today my girlfriend asked if we could have lunch there and of course I said that was fine with me. Anyway when she asks if we can go somewhere that is just a nice way of saying we are going there. So we went there lol and I was quite skeptical but I have to admit that it wasn't bad. It was not great but still not bad. I had shredded brisket tacos for the first time ever and they good even though they needed to put more brisket in them. My girl just had a cheese burger which she said was very good. She could only finish half of it, pretty big burger. Service was fair but a little slow. If my girl wants to go back in the future I will of course but at least I know it is decent food. Still hate the big chains but this wasn't bad.

I know it is a chain restaurant probably with a teenage kitchen staff but, come in with the knife cuts!

My and my family enjoyed ourselves tonight. Our server was Jeff who was very kind and on time with the service. He didn't hound us while eating and was supper friendly and pleasant. The lady Jen seen that something was wrong with our order and immediately corrected it. We came late at night and the food was still fresh and sizzling. I would definitely come back to this place.

Great food. Did not have to wait to get a seat. The staff is short. We will be back.

Applebees is Applebees, just okay and always know what to expect but a craving every now and then lol! Service here was just okay and could be worked on. Few hiccups in our order but they were made right and overall we enjoyed. The kids love coming here and in the area this is the apple bees we will continue to take them to!

We ate here for a rehearsal dinner. We made reservations the night before. When we arrived it didn't take long for them to sit our party of 22. I was very impressed that all 22 meals came out at the same time, hot, fresh and delicious. Our drinks from the bar were cold & delicious. Service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to others. The only negative was there wasn't a big selection for my vegetarian husband but they can make a plate with plenty of side dishes.

Yesterday I went to my local Applebee's for some extravagant food and was appalled when I packed my leftovers for lunch only to find out that my food was covered in yogurt! I opened my lunch today in class only to find that my yogurt had spilled everywhere but that's nothing compared to the soggy fries I ate, the food tasted better than my moms but the yogurt was unforgiving in taking my beloved soggy fries right out of my grip

Our waiter Josh was excellent and involved and well spoken. Food came out great and the half priced appetizers from 9-12 is a great deal!

I usually get curb side to go service and the last visit the order had a small oversight. The staff picked up on it right away and tried to contact me but I left my cell phone home. The manager Jen left a voicemail and was able to resolve the issue in a very professional manner. My daughter dines there with her friends after work and she agrees. I highly recommend this location because of the great staff and the food is always consistently good.

So I came here after my daughter's play. It was a cast party for approximately 20 cast members and 20 parents. I understand getting hit with 40 people isn't ideal, but it was also 4 pm on a weekday so the restaurant was otherwise mostly empty. Three servers who I guess we're trying to take our orders failed miserably. We waited more than 30 minutes for drinks and when we received them they wouldn't come out together. Our food, basically appetizers, was staggered for some reason. I guess this place is fine for a couple people but the lack of any type of communication between the staff was pathetic. People were finished eating before others even had their food while sitting right next to them.

One of the worst ever. Appetizers came out cold and looked like leftovers. We had the penne pasta chicken. Mine was cold when I got it, tasted very bland and old. Portions seemed smaller than usual. I don't know. Our server wasn't exactly happy or pleased that we were there. More like a chore with the personality of a drip. But on the plus side, the host was very pleasant and warm, seated us immediately. Must be the area I guess. I've had better food and service off of I-95.

My fiance and I hit this Applebee's the other night... The restaurant was pretty dead, but we aren't complaining it was a tuesday night. Our service was great, we were seated right away. Colton, our server was pretty on the ball. Our food was really great. everything was hot - and fresh. My favorite part of this trip was the fact that they have Angry Orchard on tap now... Was definitely a good visit. Paid for dinner, and bought a gift card for our neighbors who fed our cat during the Hurricane. Id share the gift of great service with anyone! Best place to eat. Applebees has awesome selection of entries and foods. The burgers especially is very delicious the put bacon on burger patty and so delicious to have. The waiter was very friendly and nice and greeted us with smile . He was very helpful and knew a lot about the menu. I would recommend this place to anyone in ocean city . The have sweet deals like that two for 20 deal which I always get . Best deal ever

My friends and I went out for some appetizers and drinks after a day at the beach. Our server "Randy" was excellent. We ordered the 3 for $18 appetizers, plus add on salads. Randy brought the appetizers first, then the salad just like we asked. We had the chicken quesadillas, spinach and artichoke dip and mozzarella sticks. Everything was very tasty. The salad were a decent size and the dressings were very good. We really enjoyed our time together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Not a bad place but I was surprised when in was seated at almost 1pm and the place was nearly empty. I wanted a cheeseburger and a drink and the least expensive burger came with all kinds of stuff I didn't want like bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and French fries. It was around $11. I asked if I could just have a burger (meat and cheese on a bun) and nothing more for a slightly reduced price . Manager said no, I had to order the whole thing. I think if you're going to be in the hospitality industry you should be hospitable. So I ordered something else which worked out to cost about $1.50 less than the burger I wanted. It's not about the money it was about not being forced to pay a ridiculous amount of money for an item I didn't want. So instead of taking a dollar or two off the price and having a customer leave happy knowing she only paid for what she wanted and not what she didn't this customer left feeling as though all Applebee's wants is my money and doesn't care at all about its customers. There are lots of places to eat around here that would have been happy to not try to over charge me and that's where I'll eat from now on.

You guys have gone from mediocre to the worst Applebee's in south Jersey. Why is the female (heavy set) bar tender so freaking angry? Why are your servers not able to handle more than three tables at a time? We literally had to wait 15 minutes to sit down when the place was pretty much empty. There was literally 3 tables being served and they say they don't have enough servers. Common sense, sit the people down and tell them your server will be with you in a few minutes, instead of letting them sit in the front where people are coming in and out; we're still dealing with Covid, remember? This place needs a serious evaluation from corporate HQ. The things they allow in this place is unacceptable. The appetizers takes forever to come out (turn the oil temperature up, it's too oily); employees talk about personal matters that shouldn't be discussed in front of customers. Waitresses are friendly but far from knowing how to be a good server (not trained properly). Servers don't check up on you to see if you need a refill, and take forever to give you a check. Again, they're more worried about talking to each other and gossiping than taking care of customers. Kitchen workers are super slow and joke around more than they work. I cannot image what will happen to this place when things go back to normal. Get it together management; this is all on you, don't make me come in there and send everyone home.

I haven't been here in awhile, and EVERYTHING was perfect!!! I'm very particular with ordering steaks, because it has to be cooked they way I like. And it was perfect! The waitress never missed a beat!! The baked potatoe was the best I have ever had at a restaurant!!! It was not overlooked, it was big, and delicious! I will be patronizing this Applebees more!

I've dined in before and had very good experiences! However, I decided to try out carry out and i won't do it again! I ordered a standard burger no pink, side of fries and an ice tea. Pick it up staff is friendly, got my food and went home. When I got home I got a fry and it was super cold! I touched the others just in case and yup all of them cold! I was kinda disappointed but I still had the burger. Open the box and looks good but touched it, cold too! This point I'm hungry so I bite into it and quickly noticed how pink it was when I clearly said no pink!!! I like Applebee's but I think I'll just stick to dinning in!

A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT Tonight will probably be the last time we will ever visit this Applebee's in Somers Point, NJ. REASON: The management(?) has dropped the Friday night "TRIVIA BINGO" contest, yes!, all three (3) rounds of great fun are GONE ! I guess they got too cheap or whatever. For many years while we were in town, every Friday night we would have dinner, drinks at this Applebee's. But now that the Trivia Bingo is gone, I seriously doubt that we will ever be be eating and/or drinking at this Applebee's again. A sad day. Therefore, their rating is hereby dropped down to only one(1) star. Here is the previous review that is no longer valid: Just a regular Applebee's, not many pro's and not many con's. Just plain and simple food with average service and prices. Nothing special. One exception, the Bartender(s) on Friday is excellent. - BUT, they have these contest nights, usually Wednesday 8:30 and Friday's 9:00 PM, where a DJ Mitch comes in to host Team Trivia or Trivia Bingo with several prizes of a $10 gift certificates for winning one of the several rounds. - All of a sudden the place becomes a real HOOT on these nights! A great time is had by everyone. A bit slow at times, but real FUN. WELL DONE! - BTW: 4 Stars for this particular Applebee's, the other one's just get 3 stars.

The $1 drink was wonderful! Kids meals are pricey so my kids split an adult chicken tenders which had a lot of food! Service was great and they had football on.

This visit to Applebee's was great! We were greeted and seated quickly. Our drinks took about 5 minutes to come, but the server apologized. Our food was out fast and the rest of our visit was great. Another restaurant I love going to.

Food was good but the service wasn't that great. All the staff members act like they're too busy to tend to you. And every time we asked for something they seemed bothered...

Good food but horrible management. Some servers are attentive but others don't have any common sense or customer service skills. They would rather stand around talking/gossiping with each other while refills are needed and food sits in the kitchen getting cold and dried out. They advertise half priced appetizers but the most popular items are excluded. I blame all troubles on poor management.

went to applebees last night for dinner...got the 2 for and both were very good ..my sister got a burger and was very happy with that ...but my steak mashed and beans were better than usual and Yolanda was as pleasant a server could be ...just letting you know how we enjoyed it and always do...thanks..

Went to applebees with my home slices. Took 15 minutes for server Scott to take out order for drinks down. He came back 5 minutes later with an attitude to take our orders down. We ordered and he didn't take away our menus. After an hour and 10 minutes, other servers bring out our food. He comes back asking if anything wrong, and he forgot the French fries on my pal's dish. After our meals he comes back and says "there's a couple problems with the check, you guys' can figure it out." Overall, worst example of Applebee's.

Horrible appetizers tasted like they were weeks old, steak tasted like shoe leather. Never go back

I was really pumped to hear that they brought back the three cheese chicken penne. A while ago they switched it to the cavatappi and it just wasnt that good. HOWEVER, the penne is back bitches. BUT, they no longer give you a breadstick with it. Whats up with that? I used to look forward to that breadstick every time i went there with my girls from lil nip. To make things even worse, the last time i went there my waiter brought me 7 take out boxes when i asked for them AS A JOKE !!! He was too nice . I only needed 3 . I didnt know what to do with all those extra boxes !! Plus, it was fuckin trivia bingo night and mitch was NOT playing around. Had a good time w my ladies tho cant wait to hit this ish up soon

This Applebee's is really usually a hit or miss. Sometimes we're pretty satisfied and sometimes it's a mess. We tend to come to take advantage of good deals since their prices have become so inflated considering the usual mediocre service. If we're going to spend $13 for a burger, we're just going to go to a place like the Crab Trap. The only problem is that when you come for their deals, you end up getting even worse service because the servers assume that you're not going to tip well. In any case, it seems like a lose-lose situation for the consumer although we've gotten some very nice servers from time to time. Also, as a side note, be advised that some Applebee's do not allow you to take home leftovers if you get ¢25 wings- a detail that we would have appreciated to know beforehand. Instead, you would never know about it. This seems like a sneaky and underhandedly omitted piece of information that I am more than happy to reveal to the general public.

A chain restaurant is not usually my dining style but there are just some times where you want a simple burger or salad. Applebee's fits that bill and then some. We were greater by a pleasant hostess and staff. We were invited to have a seat at the bar while we waited for a table, which was a very short wait. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable and quick. Delish. I didnt finish my drink before we were escorted to a table. Our server, Jenn was quick to welcome us, introduce herself and take our drink order. When Jenn arrived with the drinks I thought I was all set to order a salad or a burger but our knowledgeable server told us all about the best dishes they serve. We had great service, very good food and drinks in a fun environment for a reasonable price. I can't say anything negative. As far as I am concerned Applebee's gets my vote for a chain and it will be on my radar when travelling too.
