The Applecross Inn provided a welcome break after our brave/foolhardy adventure traversing the Applecross Pass in a motorhome.
It's right on the seafront, and on a good day, it would have been an absolutely stunning setting. The day we were there, it was horizontal rain and blowing a gale, so we hurried inside.
The inside is cosy and traditional, and we were given a warm welcome by the friendly bar tender.
We'd only popped in for a drink, so I can't comment on the food, apart from saying that it smelt as though there may be a lot of seafood on the menu. The gin selection was impressive, and I happily chose a Gordon Castle, which you don't see in many places.
And bonus - fee wi-fi! Having not had signal for hours, this was very welcome as we could upload photos, check online maps and such.
I'd have worked my way through a few more of their gin selection, but we had places to get to, so off we went.
