April's Famous Bakes

I rarely rate anything but feel compelled to express how good these bakery items are! I thought I was in love with the triple berry coffee cake but I purchased an orange chocolate scone last weekend at Oakland County Market and I'm having a hard time waiting to get more. They are a flavor and texture marvel! I anxious to try a sandwich next visit. (And several orange chocolate scones.)

Best baker in town! We love her chocolate buttercream cake, it’s the best chocolate cake ever! Great for birthdays. And her farm fresh soups at Oakland county farmers market are fantastic!

The red velvet and carrot cake are so dam delicious also not all that heavy frosting but good enough and made with real cake flour! My go-to going forward

Had a great experience! I have finally found a place that can bake as good as grandma, especially April's cookies they are wonderful! Everything that I have purchased has been outstanding and to top it off they serve fresh pressed coffee. We have recently relocated our business to downtown Pontiac and I have definitely found my new go to. If you have not been to April's Famous Bakes, I strongly recommend you try this place. I will definitely be back!

April's Famous Bakes recently made our wedding cakes and we have heard nothing but rave reviews over them! We brought to-go boxes for people to take with and all 8 of our cakes were completely cleared out! I have heard amazing things about specifically the carrot cake and the chocolate cake! Even beyond cakes, you should see April where you can! Whether it is her dessert bar in Waterford, out in Holly, or the Oakland County Farmer's Market, everything is amazing. Special shout out to the peanut butter cookies!

This place had a pretty small selection for a bake shop (Lemon bars, Strawberry Shortcake bars, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered marshmallows, six different ice cream flavors, chocolate brownies, cookies, shakes, sodas, and peach cobbler.) I am used to walking in to shops like Astoria which have more desserts than I could care to count, but this is understandable since they are a small, new business. They have a little picnic table inside, and the decor is very cute. The lemon bar looked absolutely delicious, and so I asked for one. The man helping me said that they had been out for a week and that he wouldn't serve them to me, but that he had made new ones, but they weren't ready yet. This put me off a bit, hence the 4-star instead of 5. Why have an item out if you can't serve it? He said the same thing about the strawberry shortcake bars, and now I wonder how many items in the display suffer the same fate. If you won't serve it, why not take it off the display? I asked about more popular dishes and he pointed me towards the fridge and mentioned the peach cobbler, along with some shakes. I purchased the peach cobbler, had a bit of small talk, and went home. As I dug in to my dessert at home, I noticed it tasted a bit off. Not sure if it was old as well, or if I am just being picky. Maybe I'll be back in a few months to see if things improve, but right now I don't recommend them.

Yummy snacks great owner pleasure to shop with her, you should definitely check her out. Her sweet treats NEVER DISAPPOINT
