Our in-laws have a house in Brewster and we have eaten at almost every restaurant in Brewster, Orleans, Chatham and Wellfleet. It has been 25 years of ordinary food. Not any more! Apt is my answer to satisfying food. We lived in Chicago and I used to get fancy brunch food every weekend. Apt does not disappoint. The crab cake Benedict is delicious, freshly made, not greasy. Perfectly poached eggs (which is surprisingly a rarity at diners). And a tasteful collection of greens you actually want to eat (I am not much of a healthy eater). After reading the reviews, I am regretting I didn't order the coffee everyone mentions! I opted for the cranberry mimosa (oh where this beverage service when I had adhd toddlers?!?) My husband ordered the I dream of Jeanie" ( figures) the pastrami hash was the real deal. Where did this chef come from? I suspect there is some city life in her history. My former toddler now ASD teen was warmly welcomed despite his disheveled look and his need to be outside in freezing cold for part of his meal. The kind waitress offered to keep his food in the warmer ( I love that kind of consideration) He loved the Perfect French Toast, and believe me, he is picky. We all belonged to the clean plate club today! My only hesitation writing this review is that those rude people will come back....you know who I am talking about. #CrabCake #FrenchToast #Bloodmary #mimosa
