I love this place. Small dish, kind of expensive but definitely worth it. Octopus is my favorite dish. The owner is top chef season 9 winner. I love the part when the server told us how they execute the dish and how to enjoy it.

Exceptional food and service. Everything we had was seasoned to perfection and balanced. The mushroom salad was so good, we ordered a second for the table! Everyone in our party agreed we should do it again very soon, so we could try more of the menu.

Upon arrival, I had no idea what to expect from Aqui. I heard it was Asian fusion, so I assumed it was something I had experienced before. Once I had the first bite, I knew this was not going to be your usual fusion menu. My eyes and pallete were bombarded with new flavors and textures which were fresh and unique. We opted to let our server choose the courses. I definitely recommend that style of dining here. We have already been back since our initial visit. Constantly, evolving and exciting!

Not a very good impression at beginning. We were ordering green tea and the waiter told us they might ran out. When he came back with the tea, he told us that was a last pot of green tea they have left. We look at it and notice that wasn't green tea, after tasted it. We confirm it was Wu Long tea, he shouldn't like to us, because we are Chinese and we know the difference of the tea. Some dishes were very good such as Four Gras, Hamachi Crudo and Tapioca Ball. By far Tapioca is my favorite, at start, it almost completely tasteless but after bite in, the taste slowly come out and getting stronger and flavorful. Gising Gising is a bit on the salty side. Nothing stand out on Cornish Hen. Pork Belly were so so. Overall, we didn't feel what we get for the price we paying for.

This place has a great vibe with outstanding food and drinks. The lumpia is not to be missed. The chicken liver pate on the pandesol is unbelievable. The pork and mushroom dumplings were very spicy but flavorful. Pad Lao was a hit with the daughter.

Yelp
I know we are late to the Traveler's Table party. Every Yelper I know has already came and reviewed this restaurant but here I am. This place deserves all its recognition. We just left a Rockets game and I noticed Traveler's Table was only a few miles away and figured it was the perfect time to try it out. Valet was complimentary-tips only. Even though it was pretty late on a Sunday, it was mostly full and so we sat at a table in the bar area instead of waiting on a table in the main dining room. We started with the crab samosas that everyone seemed to love. They were great and I really liked the mango chutney. Main courses: Carribean braised oxtails: These were fall off the bone perfection. Paired perfectly with sliced mangos and Fresno chili peppers. The right blend of sweat, heat and savory. Lamb shank gnocchi: This was one of my favorites meals of the year and we went out a lot! The lamb shank was also fall off the bone perfection while still maintaining a nice exterior. Flavors were incredible. Each individual component was delicious on its own but together was a symphony of flavor. An incredible pairing of Calabrian chile glaze, citrus pesto, pomodoro sauce, whipped mozzarella, English peas, pine nuts, Grana Padano. No flavors conflicted nor competed. Everything worked together seamlessly. Sides: Pork belly Mac n cheese: Very good and the pork belly was incredible. I would say the consistency was slightly looser than I like and there should have been more pork belly Jollof rice: Good- not great. A little too tomato forward and had a little sweetness. I prefer it more savory and spicy. We also had beer and THE YEAR OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY cocktail: Mezcal, grapefruit juice, prickly pear juice, soda, lime, jalapeño, salt, grapefruit slice- Very good. Definitely excited to go back. Next time will do a tapas approach and try a ton more dishes and order a bottle of wine. Service was great and the restaurant was very clean and had a great ambiance. Highly recommend.

Yelp
**Restaurant Review: Traveler's Table on Westheimer** I recently dined at Traveler's Table, and it was quite an experience! The selection of drinks was truly extraordinary, featuring a unique array of cocktails and beverages that perfectly complemented the menu. Each sip was a delight, showcasing creativity and quality. The atmosphere was slightly loud, which might be off-putting for some, but it created a lively, energetic vibe that enhanced the overall dining experience. It felt like a place where you could enjoy good food and great company, even amidst the chatter. As for the food, the snapper ceviche was decent but could have used a bit more flavor to elevate it. It was fresh, but I found myself wishing for a bolder taste. On the other hand, the pork belly was cooked to perfection--crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was definitely the highlight of the meal! The braced oxtail was a great dish I needed a few more oxtails, but it was great. Overall, Traveler's Table offered a memorable dining experience with its standout drink selection and commendable pork belly. I look forward to returning and trying more of their offerings!

Yelp
We came here for date night while we were in town and have no regrets. The ceviche first and foremost is amazing and the outdoor patio area is very cute. I live getting fresh ceviche and I don't typically like plantains but they went very well with the fish and made a great vehicle in place of a fork. The cocktails k got were nice and flavorful without being muddled by ice and the water after it melted. My husband got a flight and he enjoyed the tastings. This being a small business, it runs very well and they were ready for us when we showed up for our reservation. We got the duck entree and it was good but we didn't understand the foam accompaniment because it didn't seem to fit the rest of the meal as well as the noodles it came with. There is valet service outside and that was nice. The staff was very attentive and asked about any allergies before we ordered. We will be back in the future to explore more of the menu and the space for sure.

Yelp
Wow! We were really blown away by this restaurant!! I am absolutely obsessed with the idea behind this restaurant and the variety of food and drinks they have to offer. It's located in a beautiful space, with a nice patio and fireplaces for outdoor seating, as well as very cool decorations inside from different countries. The variety of food was incredible and the service was great. We ordered some cocktails, which were very strong. We started with the crab samosas and they were fabulous. We then got the lamb gnocchi and the mushroom risotto but it was so hard to chose because everything sounded so delicious. Our entrees were great and perfect portion size. This place is so unique, I would 10/10 recommend to anyone in the area! We were blown away!

Yelp
In Houston for a business trip and my team was treated by our hosts to a dinner at Traveler's Table. Thank you so much! What a wonderful restaurant! The ambiance. The spaciousness. The attitudes of the staff and the Manager's energy level were all marvelous. We ordered so many dishes. I ordered the Brazilian Shrimp Moqueca, which was full of tomato flavor mixed with so many spices. The rice was delicate and full of flavor as well. Everyone enjoyed their drinks, food and dessert. It was a great evening and the restaurant was the best setting. Thank you for such a great night. I will be back!

Yelp
We chose Traveler's Table for our Friendsmas Dinner and it was great choice. There is complimentary valet which contributed to making this choice as we were going to a second venue later and didn't want to pay for parking twice. The restaurant itself is comfortable but still very aesthetically pleasing. It's a small place, so I wouldn't host a large gathering here, but for 2-4 it's more than enough room for everyone. Currently there are drink specials for the holiday and we enjoyed the old fashioned, coquito & eggnog drinks and they were delicious. For starters we tried the crispy pork belly in pasilla sauce and crab samosas and they did not disappoint. Entrées included the spicy Butter Chicken, rich Duck Confit Risotto, and flavorful Adobo Snapper. All were delicious and our server was extremely attentive throughout the meal. It was a great experience, and I'm looking forward to dining with Traveler's Table in the near future.

Yelp
Nestled in a tight parking lot, it's valet parking only, but it is complimentary. There's outdoor seating and heaters to keep you warm on chilly nights, but we opted for indoors. Reservations are highly recommended as every time I've been here, it's been packed. The menu is so adorbs! It comes in a leather journal! Menu items are so diverse, so you can taste a little bit of every region if you choose to. Thai northern jungle ribs were tender and came with jasmine rice and a sauce (I asked for my sauce on the side). The sauce had a kick to it but not overbearing. if you're not a spicy person-- ask for it on the side. We also ordered the Argentinian style tenderloin, medium rare. Steak was a bit chewy, but overall the flavor was good. The papa fritas were just fries, nothing out of this world. Staff is very attentive and friendly.

Yelp
The food and drinks were amazing. I was a loner and sat at the bar and really enjoyed myself. The staff were friendly and attentive. Shout out to Josh the bartender for making some delicious drinks. Also he was very honest in his recommendations. I told him i wanted something flavorful and he was spot on with my drink and his food suggestions. So I had the Northern Thai Jungle Ribs with the Jasmine rice. His recommendation. I love for my food to come out piping hot and it did. Since it was just me and i wasn't too hungry I just got an entree and a few drinks. However, multiple dishes sound really good on the menu and I will definitely be back. I may try to make over there for brunch before I head back to Dallas, because it was several things I would like to try. The decor was a nice upscale vibe but it wasn't uptight.

Yelp
This restaurant deserves every 10/10 rating I could give it! I was visiting Houston for the weekend and was hoping to visit an amazing brunch spot. I found this restaurant through reviews and decided to try it with my best friend. When you arrive, the restaurant is valet only unless you can find street parking. The valet was free! We made reservations for brunch. Once we arrived, we were greeted by the kind staff. Our waitress for our table was amazing and gave us great recommendations to try. For drinks, we ordered the mimosas flight and the espresso martini flight. Each flight of each one was delicious. I really enjoyed my mimosa flight and the amount of each serving given to me. For food, both our brunch entrees were delicious. Since we couldn't choose which one, we ended up splitting both dishes. Everything was super flavorful and both had great portions. The restaurant overall is lively and fun! You can tell people visit for all occasions with all different types of groups. I will definitely be back when I come visit!

Yelp
Had an amazing brunch with friends in Saturday...food was awesome. I called Saturday evening to schedule a table inside for brunch. We all enjoyed our food, but my entree was definitely the best bite. Entrees: Oxtail omelette/ Ribs w/ Kimchi fried rice/breakfast board Drinks: coffee flight and tropical flight Best bite was the kimchi fried rice, ribs were okay but a little dry. Parmesan Grits w/ mushrooms deserve an honorable mention. Best drink was their version of an expresso martini w/ Hennessy...and it's addictive. Undoubtedly going back to try the Lamb shakshuka/Duck Chilaquiles & Ube Pancakes....see you there if you're smart. Enter freely, they've been Brunch Approved.

Yelp
Travelers table is one of my favorite places to brunch or have dinner. The service is always on point. I love the changing menu and variety of dishes from around the world. The place is decorated with world collectibles that match the cuisine. The place allows for romantic to fulfilled interactions. The cafe de olla is so bellywarming, the shrimp and grits were so delicious, the Pao de quiejo is so good, and the cocktails are phenomenal. Can't wait to come try other things!

Yelp
There needs to be a study conducted on the degree in which I will hardcore vouch for Travelers Table with every fiber of my being. A Houston requirement if you're looking for a lax, but slightly upscale brunch spot. Wow when I tell you I don't have SINGLE complaint about this place I MEAN it. Drinks? Fire. Food? Flames! Worried about parking? There's complimentary valet. Literally what else could a girl possibly ask for. Layout inside is relatively open concept with plenty of windows to welcome the sunlight in. The menu choices will make you fan yourself. Our server's name escapes me which makes me so sad (he had black curly hair and glasses) because his service was phenomenal.Super freaking sweet and attentive. I also love how the restaurant goes about celebrating special occasions. Travelers Table you have singlehandedly created a stan out of me! Counting down til my next visit!

Yelp
BRUNCH REVIEW: This place was very impressive. Probably one of the best brunches I've had. I really like the twists and creativity with all the dishes. You have to order the crab samosas, they were so flavorful and the sauces they came with were perfect. 10/10 8.5/10 Bread pudding, warm flavorful and right amount of sweet. Great starter 9.5/10 Korean short rib was so tender and the rice it came with was very flavorful. Sweet and slightly spicy. My favorite combo. 9/10 Louisiana fried chicken was perfectly cooked. Very juicy! The puree it came with was perfect. 7.5/10 ube pancakes. The pictures of this looked incredible, and I really did enjoy them. For me these were just missing something, perhaps like a filling or something. But still really good! The service was great for a busy Sunday morning and a very modern ambiance to the location. Great for groups and birthdays! It's worth a visit!!!

Yelp
This was our first stop during our Houston visit. The restaurant is called Travelers Table because they have pretty dishes from around the work. All of our dishes were amazing and the service was fantastic. The highlight was the soft shell crab, the pork belly and the beef skewers. Oh, don't sleep on the Old Fashioned Flight! The restaurant seems to always be bustling so be prepared to wait if you don't have a reservations.

Yelp
Travelers Table was amazing! I ordered the Flor de Amor to start; it was wonderfully sweet and tart. The brazilian cheese bread was chewy and delicious with a nice crispy exterior. We then did a family style meal. The pork belly mac & cheese was cheesy, gooey, and the pork belly added a salty taste. It was cooked to be crispy and tender. The steak was my favorite! The fries were crispy and the aioli was delicious. The chimichurri seasoning was perfect complement to the steak. We also ordered the oxtails which was my first experience with oxtails. The meat came off the bone so easily. The rice and stew created a comforting and filling combination. The duck confit risotto was extremely flavorful as well. The risotto was soft and creamy. The duck was also pretty tender and the skin was crispy. The interior of the restaurant was simple, classic, and worldly. It was so nice to be able to try many different cuisines at once. The service here was great! I mentioned that we were celebrating my friend's engagement and our waiter gave us champagne to celebrate. So kind! It was pretty busy so some things were slow at times but overall timely. The valet had an incredibly long line. I would definitely build extra time in if you're trying to make a reservation.

Yelp
Its a unique restaurant with great food. Went for brunch and plan to go for dinner. There's nothing I didnt like. The drink our man havana was my favorite thing. Our server was very good. Ambiance was great. Busy but we got in with a reservation.

Yelp
Of all the places I've eaten all around Texas, Travelers Tables stands out tremendously. The menu is so unique, each dish had its own eclectic twist. I'm not an omlette girl, but when I saw braised oxtail?!! I said, I have to try this. This was one of the best omelettes I've had. The curry braised oxtail tasted like it been tenderized for ages, the special hollandaise sauce made the flavor profile of this dish top notch. Anything crab, um ordering it. The crab samosas were absolutely delicious with the mango chutney sauce! The service was great and the ambiance is fun and vibrant' I will be back when in Houston.

Yelp
A wonderful restaurant. I agree with much of what was said in earlier reviews. The menus here explores dishes from global origins. The chef has levity to explore and curate dishes that will not only enhance the pallets of the patrons who come to enjoy them but also can pair well with the extensive wine or cocktail menu. Travelers Table has an open interior with views into the kitchen under modern wood- lined double A frame roof construction, enhancing the experience. After seating ourselves, we received a leather bound menu, and Ashley, our host, took care of every need. We came on a Wednesday night ,which was Oyster night, and enjoyed a dozen of two different styles: one roasted and one set on ice. We also had five different appetizers before diving into our entrees. To drink we had two different red wines, I enjoyed a delicious hazy IPA from a local tavern. For my main course I had the Jamaican braised oxtail which was fantastic. For dessert we shared black sesame lava cake, and a vegan mango passion fruit cheesecake. Everything was excellent. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Very relaxed vibe with a touch of sophistication. Great spot for a dinner that takes you around the globe. Had the pistachio crusted lamb chops and am happy to say it was the best chops I've had. The dollops of pesto add a very bright freshness that is refreshing against the earthy puree and lamb. The side car named desire is a delicious, sweet tropical breeze that leaves you wanting more. The passion fruit mousse with mango is to die for. Just the right touch of sweetness that doesn't overpower the lovely acidity of the passion fruit.

Yelp
We stumbled on this place after an evening at the museum. Wow! Very energetic and happening place. The parking lot was packed and a bit small for our truck, but the valet take care of all that, which is very nice. It's complimentary but tips are appreciated. We sat at the bar so we could get fast seating as there was quite a wait on a Saturday evening. The bartender was amazing and recommended some drinks and appetizer for us. Then told us about some of the dishes that, are well known there. Just a fantastic experience with wonderful staff and very unique abs tasty food. We'll be going back soon. Loved it

Yelp
10/10. We came for brunch and I know dinner has to be just as good! Vegan options great! Unique menu items! Knowledgable staff! A bit cold inside, but the place was really cute! They have a huge patio that would be great in nice weather!

Yelp
I had an ok experience at the travelers table. The vibe was nice and the service was good, but the food was just ok. We went on a Friday night and Travelers table was packed! It was very hard to get a reservation here, and the restaurant was almost completely full. We got several small plates and I got the jungle curry for my entree. All of the small plates were good: Crab samosas - pretty good, 7/10 Pani puri - great flavor but not super authentic 8/10 Singaporean soft shell chili crab - pretty good but not a standout 7/10 Crispy pork belly in Padilla sauce - yummy, but the pork belly could've been a bit more tender 6/10 Jungle curry - not very good. The curry sauce was harsh and the flavors didn't mix well. It tasted a bit chemically as well.... Could not finish the dish 2/10 It was pretty expensive too... I might come back, but probably not
google avatar

Yelp
The esthetic is this place is unreal. I love all of the windows and the concept of the menu being all over the world. As for service, fantastic. I ordered the soft shell crab with yellow curry and the kitchen accidentally poured the jungle curry over my food. (It was delicious so I didn't REALLY notice). Once my waiter saw he corrected the issue instantly without me even asking and I enjoyed the meal the correct way. That attention to detail when I wouldn't have been none the wiser. Great foo, great service great vibes! Now I need to come back for brunch.

Yelp
Just HAD to leave a review. 10/10 Highly recommend! From ambiance, amazing service, presentation and flavor. They have their system down pact! And the valet is quick too. I had the butter chicken, and my friend had the jerk chicken and both were so flavorful! The greens were so unique, tender, and delicious. We also had this appetizer with cheese which I forgot the name, but it was so good!!! And we shared the bread pudding! Ahhh yes it was so yummy. I wished I had gotten my own. lol. I will definitely be back. Oh and our server, Johnathan, was wonderful.

Yelp
I'd found this restaurant on Yelp after reading a really good review from another Yelp Elite and I honestly trust her insight when it comes to great cuisine. Thanks Caprice, cause our first experience here was a Phenomenal one. The food was exquisitely delicious. I was eating my Skewers with my fingers that's just how tender they were. Our server Andru was very very attentive to our every need, and request. Towards the second hour he'd lost his uuuummmfff and it was now standing room only. My daughter made the reservations, even though we were only supposed to dine in our reserved area for two hours Chloe (Floor Manager) never mentioned anything to us about going over our reservation slot time. I will definitely return my family, and friends also enjoyed this experience. 10/10

Yelp
First time here and definitely not my last. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and has a friendly and warm ambience. I had the crab samosas as appetizer. The pastry was crispy, mild spicy, and the mango chutney was OMG good. Lamb shakshuka was a bowl of thick soup with ground lamb. There were dollops of goat cheese around the soup, and two big poached eggs in the soup. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The goat cheese absolutely belonged in the bowl. The bowl of soup was super flavorful. The side toasts were a little salty which paired well with the soup. I also had the Louisiana fried chicken which was amazing. The chicken was moist and super crispy. I saw they serve ube pancake so I asked for it as a side, which was one thick pancake. It was fluffy. Even the whipped cream was fresh and good. The coconut syrup had the perfect sweetness. Can't leave the restaurant without having dessert. My choice was black sesame lava cake. The lava cake was good, and the ube ice cream had strong ube flavor. It was a great end to a delicious meal. I received excellent service from start to end. My server was attentive and gave plenty of smiles. The restaurant provides complimentary valet parking. So that is one less thing to worry about. Highly recommend to make reservation as the tables fill up fast.

Yelp
One of the best meals I've had in a long time. So good, it made us slow down and savor every bite! Food: The Crab Samosa was flavorful and full of real crab meat (read no fillers) in a curry sauce. The Mango chutney is key to making them top tier. There were so many interesting choices on the menu that we decided to split two....the Caribbean Oxtails and pistachio crusted rack of lamb and........BABY!! When I say delicious. I mean DELICIOUS. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. We finished the bourbon bread pudding which is worth saving room for. Drinks: we had the old fashioned flight that was well worth the $32 price tag. Lastly, service was excellent from the front desk to Austin our rockstar server. If you're on the fence. GO!! You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Food was delicious! I would 100% come back. They had a beautiful indoor and outdoor seating area that can fit around 50-60 people. Each dish was delicious and they were able to very timely service my party of 9 people. The location had valet parking so keep that in mind.

Yelp
Flavor Budz check-in! Ok, Houston! Travelers Table was given what it very much needed to give. It was very demure, (lol) very inviting, very #IYKYK energy. Being that I am LA girly, I stay current and love high-frequency vibes. The restaurant was interestingly enough to have made me wanna experience the cultural creativeness. I was drawn to the Vietnamese Steak, Eggs because I didn't want anything to be sweet or pastry like. Listen, I wasn't expecting anything less than authentic flavors and high-quality deliciousness. Traveler's Table was on the marker with my breakfast plate. My food was plentiful and tasty. Our waiter, Alejandro, was fun and energetic and was a pleasant experience. My friends and I had a good time. I would definitely recommend brunch dates here. Thank you for the memorable outing.

Yelp
Love the concept of having dishes from different regions on the menu. I felt like some dishes were better than others, but overall had an okay meal. For starters, we tried the pani puri and singaporean chili crab. It was my first time trying pani puri so I didn't know what to compare it to, but it had earthy flavors. The chili crab was disappointing as they give you one tiny soft shell crab to share. The fried buns that came with it were delicious though and soaked up the sauce nicely. Entrees: The northern thai jungle ribs were tender and fall off the bone, but the stew that it came with was pretty salty. The fried chicken and argentinian-style tenderloin were pretty standard (tastes how you'd imagine). The best entree that we tried was the brazilian shrimp moqueca. The shrimp was plump and snappy, and the dish wasn't too salty. The soft shell crab pad thai was also pretty good; this pad thai more on the tangy side which I enjoy. Dessert: The black sesame lava cake straight up tasted like domino's pizza... not exaggerating. The chocolate and sesame just didn't pair well. The passionfruit mango mouse was tart, smooth, and creamy. Service was pretty good though. Our waiter noticed that our fried chicken entree was burnt so she went ahead and brought a new one out for us.

Yelp
My friend and I made dinner reservations at Travelers Table, but when we arrived, parking was hectic. We ended up being a few minutes late due to waiting on valet, and unfortunately, they did not honor our reservation, placing us on a waiting list instead. After waiting for approximately 30 minutes, I noticed several people without reservations being seated ahead of us. I spoke with the staff, but they refused to acknowledge that we had been overlooked. I requested a manager, and after about 10 minutes, the manager arrived, apologized, and seated us immediately. This interaction with the host is the only reason I gave Travelers Table 3 stars. However, the food was absolutely exquisite--delicious and flavorful. The atmosphere was phenomenal, and the decor was impeccable. I have since given this restaurant another try, and the experience was much better. Despite my initial encounter, I would still recommend Travelers Table based on the quality of the food and the overall ambiance."

Yelp
We went on a Saturday night at 8:30 PM and sat inside. They also have patio dining available and a small inside bar. It is very loud inside so expect to yell to your fellow guests. We could barely hear the waiter describe the dishes. The concept is great since they offer food from the the far East, Mediterranean and Latin America. We had the Skewers which were very tender and full of flavor. The Argentinian polenta was good. Shiiitake dumplings were excellent. The cauliflower came with a spicy green sauce. Everything tasted very fresh. The reason for 1 star deduction is due to the noise level.

Yelp
I had the Traveler's Table Breakfast Board with my choices of Japanese miso eggs scramble, chicken & sage sausage, parmesan-brie grits, homemade biscuit w/ toppings. The Café De Olla is a winner with hints of cinnamon and sugarcane. Oscar was a great server; both friendly and knowledgeable. Ambiance is bustling but not crazy busy. Makes it a smooth experience. Will bring my family back for breakfast.

Yelp
While looking around for restaurants before we came to Houston I wanted to try something different. Travelers Table concept is to bring all international flavors in one sitting. From Jamaican, Mexican, Indian, Singapore, Philippines, Italian and so much more. 1 scotch 1 old fashion Service was great, with quick turnarounds and friendly vibes surrounded the area. For starters we ordered the crispy pork belly with pasillq sauce. Left us both wanting seconds with robust flavors. I decided to go with the Caribbean Oxtail and my partner ordered the Argentinian style tenderloin. Amazing as it was, I got full pretty fast but was saving my tummy for that bourbon bread pudding! Glad the mister can always finish my food when I've had enough lol Dessert- mouthwatering and not sweet at all. Very pleased with our meals and happy I chose the right restaurant. Thank you!

Yelp
I've had a great experience at Traveler's Table every time I have been. The interior is dimly lit during the evening which gives it a nice ambiance. I recently went to celebrate a birthday and the service was great, I absolutely loved our waitress--I forgot to note her name--but she was super energetic and very helpful especially because my grandma has dietary restrictions. There was also a trainee helping out with our table and he was great as well. Got the Man in Havana as recommended by our waitress and I was not disappointed. This cocktail was refreshing, fruity, and delicious! She also recommended us the East Coast oysters which were on the smaller side, but were sweet and buttery. They paired very well with the provided mango-chile topping. For appetizers we ordered the Pani Puri and Argentinian Provoleta. The pani puri was flavorful, paired well with the mint chutney, and the shells are thicker than other puris I've had before. The Argentinian Provoleta came out piping hot and the combination of sweet and savory was delicious. The bread was toasted and crispy on the edges which went well with the softened provolone. For entrees we ordered the Nigerian Suya Skewers, Pistachio-Crusted Rack of Lamb, Brazilian Shrimp Moqueca, and a flatbread for my grandma. The Nigerian Suya Skewers were tender and flavorful, but not the star of the show. It comes served on a bed of jollof rice and with some sauces which helped enhance the flavor of the dish. The shrimp moqueca was super filling and very tomato-y, but did not taste overwhelmingly of seafood which I appreciate. The rice to sauce ratio was perfect and the shrimp was sweet and tender. My favorite dish of the night was definitely the rack of lamb. Super tender and all elements of the dish were amazing. I loved the butternut puree paired with the blackberry demi. The nutty, tarty sweetness was an amazing flavor combination. I even enjoyed the asparagus which I typically do not enjoy. My grandma thoroughly enjoyed her flatbread. She doesn't usually have a huge appetite and she managed to finish all but two pieces! As for dessert we were given a trio of ice cream flavors--vanilla, coconut, and ube. My favorite was definitely the coconut but the other flavors were delicious as well.

Yelp
My friend has been raving about this restaurant, so I was excited to finally try it while visiting Houston. We were seated quickly and our server was awesome! Everyone was very attentive and the restaurant is STUNNING! To begin with, they have a great brunch special, which was 2 courses for $25. I ordered the Cajun oysters and the Louisiana fried chicken. We also got an order of the pao de queijo and ube pancakes. The oysters were delicious! I usually prefer raw oysters to cooked ones, as they are easily overcooked, but these were perfect! My chicken was served with grits and a biscuit and I ended up eating the other half for dinner because the portion was so large. The pao de queijo was tasty, but I was a bit disappointed with the ube pancakes. The ube flavor was a bit lacking to me, but the sauce that it came with was delicious. I also had a few bites of my friend's watermelon and avocado salad, which was good, but beware if you don't like the taste of tajin. Definitely a great spot to check out!

Yelp
This was our 3-4th resturant during resturant week, and I can unequivocally say this was by far our favorite place! It was jammed packed so I definitely recommend a reservation. All of our meals were amazing, but the highlight was for sure the soft-shell crab curry. I've had ample curry from different parts of the States, but this one beat all of them out of the park! It was crunchy, savory, and just the right amount of sweetness. I'm a huge fan of bread pudding and they did not disappoint! It was crunchy on the outside but soft but not too mushy on the inside. I cannot wait to come back!

Yelp
Visited 8/4/24 | Spent $58 To celebrate National Friendship Day, my friends and I (a group of ten) chose Traveler's Table for brunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted by complimentary valet service and a warning to avoid parking in the areas where towing was enforced. Surprisingly, at 12:30 pm, the brunch crowd had yet to gather, so we were seated promptly at our 1 pm reservation without any wait. Our server, Trevor, was energetic and exceptionally friendly. He took the time to explain each item on the globally inspired menu and the available mocktails (priced at $8). Here's what we ordered: 1. **Starter: Breakfast Bread Pudding (5/5)** - Sweet and delightful, this dish was more dessert-like than expected but absolutely tantalizing. I could have easily had three more slices! 2. **Mocktail: The Plumed Serpent (4/5)** - Refreshing and well-blended, topped with a watermelon slice. I imagine it would be even better with tequila! 3. **Entree: Korean "Sticky" Rib Fried Rice (5/5)** - THE HIGHLIGHT! The ribs fell off the bone, the rice was perfectly seasoned, and the fried egg added a great brunch touch. I could have eaten an entire plate of this. I saved some to enjoy later with my side of Parmesan Brie Grits (3/5). The grits were thicker than expected and could have been creamier and cheesier, but they were still enjoyable. 4. **Shared Dishes:** - **Crab Samosas (5/5)** - These were fantastic, especially with the mango aioli sauce on the side! - **Roasted Viet Cajun Oysters (5/5)** - Deliciously cheesy, almost enough to share with the grits. Overall, the service was outstanding. Trevor made sure we were comfortable, informed us that although the kitchen closed at 2:30 pm, we could enjoy our meal at our own pace (noting that reservations were limited to a 2-hour maximum). He even took some group photos for us and was very apologetic about a minor spilling incident. The General Manager also came over to check on us and offered dry cleaning services if needed. I will definitely return, especially during Houston's Restaurant Week. Their HRW 3-Course Dinner Menu looks expansive and intriguing!

Yelp
Disappointing experience food-wise, esp. since I know so many people who have talked about it. Service was cool, drinks were decent but not great. The food overall left a lot of be desired. The fish had some very odd flavors that just did not pair well. It was hard to eat. I'm a ceviche connoisseur but theirs is thick and heavy. Would never try it again. The samosas was the best item we ordered but that's not enough to bring us back.

Yelp
To celebrate Houston Restaurant Weeks for 2024, I came back to Traveler's Table to recreate a similar visit in 2021 that was a 5 star experience. Last week, it was Deja Vu as I had another incredible meal. Making the reservation for my party of 7 was easy. We actually wound up being given the same table as 3 years ago. It was a Friday night and TT was packed yet their complimentary valet parking was fast and efficient and our table was ready on time. Our waiter introduced himself to us and presented the HRW menu and then took our drink orders. For my three courses, I chose the snapper ceviche to start followed by jerk chicken for the main and then some black sesame lava cake to finish. When the ceviche arrived I noticed all of the fresh marinated seafood with avocado and plantain chips on the plate. With lime juice and watermelon on the side it was a light tasting and delicious 1st course. It made me remember that TT uses high grade ingredients when making their food and it tastes like it. The jerk chicken was a 1/4 leg and thigh with an incredible glaze and sweet plantain relish on the chicken with collard greens, rice, beans and okra added too. The chicken was oh so flavorful and juicy. Honestly it was perfect. My picture doesn't show much of the bird but it was there and with every else on the plate made it an entree that impressed me. I can't remember ever having jerk chicken this good! The dessert was for a chocolate lover for sure and just what I wanted. The cake had a liquid chocolate center that when mixed with the cake and whipped cream and ice cream made for the perfect dessert. I couldn't ask for anything more! Finally our table service was prompt and professional. Yes, when the restaurant is full it can be loud but we still had a great time and as the evening progressed and the crowd thinned the decibel level improved a lot. I must come here more often. That is because I think that Traveler's Table is truly one of the best restaurants in Houston. This is as good as it gets.

Yelp
Brunch with a friend on a Friday and we decided on Traveler's Table. They have valet in their interestingly shaped private lot; we parked around the corner and walked over. We were one of the first ones in so the lot only had a few cars with a number of the parking spots blocked with traffic cones. I'm not sure if it's valet only though. The place is tastefully decorated with lots of bright natural light. The floating paragliding lights tickled me and they have large area for outdoor seating plus an extensive bar. We were promptly greeted and seated with our waiter, Oscar, coming over within a few minutes to greet us and get our waters. We started off with Cafe de Olla which he described with "naturally sweet with cinnamon" and creamer on the side. This was just sweet enough so we didn't add any sweetener and I enjoyed the cinnamon notes that were not overwhelming. No refills though. Some questions later, we ordered. Note: I'm an allium free vegetarian whereas my friend is your typical omnivore. I got: UBE PANCAKES - 3 ube souffle pancakes topped with brown sugar boba, infused whipped cream, coconut syrup, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, ground cherries, and mint. I've never had souffle pancakes before so I don't have anything to compare it to, though Oscar did mention a new recipe. They were thick and soft though not necessarily light. When cutting, the bottom lightly browned layer is slightly difficult to cut through. The ube flavor wasn't obvious but it's usually not. The whipped cream tasted floral and reminded me of earl grey. I loved it and I found it essential to every bite and I'm not a whipped cream/frosting person. Boba wasn't very brown sugary and only vaguely sweet, but they provided an interesting textural component. I'm not a fan of coconut but I wouldn't say it's overwhelming in the syrup so that was nice. The fruit was a wonderful fresh addition and I liked those ground cherries. Overall, it came together in a comprehensive dish and I finished every bite. MISO SCRAMBLED EGGS (side) - I expressed interest and Oscar suggested to have it as a side after he double checked with the kitchen that it could be made allium-free (it could). It rang up as a double portion of the eggs any style side and I felt like it was a very unique rendition of scrambled eggs that I rather enjoyed. It was also a very welcome savory addition to my overall sweet meal. My friend ordered the crab eggs Benedict which she really enjoyed along with a side of the Parmesan-Brie grits. I tasted a little of the grits that didn't touch the green onions and I think adding Brie to grits is genius. Overall, I am impressed. It is on the pricey side and add up fast. The drinks sounded really good (but I don't drink alcohol).... wish they offered mocktails. Service was excellent and I liked how I could taste 2 dishes and not have to order two full portions. I did finish everything and felt comfortably full. Atmosphere was great and though the place filled up fast, it wasn't too loud. For those with kids, I'm not exactly sure this is a kid-friendly place unless you're lucky enough to have kids that can sit still and have a more adventurous palate. I've got picky, restless kids plus multiple food allergies on the table so this is sadly not the case for me.

Yelp
I already can't wait to go back to try more things on the menu! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! For drinks we got the Wine Merchant of Venice and The Year of Living Dangerously and both were great! We ordered the crab samosas for an appetizer (forgot to take a pic) and then got the watermelon and avocado salad, duck confit risotto, lamb gnocchi, jerk chicken, Caribbean braised oxtails and the side of fries-everything was amazing! Even something as simple as a French fry was so good, crispy and flavorful that I couldn't stop eating them! Our whole table cleaned our plates. We left there so full and happy! 100% recommend! I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The service was great. Austin was very kind and always came back to check on us. In addition, the vibes are very chill and relaxed. The restaurant is nice and open and easy to get around. Furthermore, the food of course is delicious. Lemonade was great. I also had The oxtail. Which I loved with the Parmesan brie grits as well.

Yelp
My friend brought me here, and I'm so glad she did. Despite arriving 15 minutes late to our reservation due to traffic, they still seated us, which was incredibly kind of them, especially since the kitchen was closing. Oscar was exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that my party had a wonderful experience and that everything we ordered met our expectations. The oxtail omelet was an absolute delight! I highly recommend it. We chose to dine on the outdoor patio, which added to the lovely ambiance of the restaurant. It's spacious and inviting!

Yelp
The Traveler's Table offers a unique dining experience with global-inspired dishes that are both flavorful and creative. I love the ube pancake, pork belly breakfast bun and Crab Samosas. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting. Also offer free complimentary parking. The restaurant can get quite busy, especially on weekends, so I recommend making a reservation in advance to avoid long wait times

Yelp
Stopped by at traveler's table with my sister and we got seats on the patio. It was such a beautiful atmosphere and the food complemented it perfectly. We ordered the butter chicken and the jerk chicken, both of which were very large portions and so delicious!

Yelp
I came to Travelers Table in Houston because it was on Diners Drive Inns and Dives. I'm one of those super fan travelers and I'm a handful of places away from 500. I got there right at opening and the place was empty but the staff were so nice. I chose to sit at the bar because it was weird to take a table in an empty place but I did get to see the modern and tasteful dining area. This place is hip! Super cool and a must visit for the high end diner. At the bar there were two bartenders who chatted me up and helped me through the menu I don't drink when I travel but they kept my water glass full. I had 2 appetizers since it was early and I wanted to try a couple different things. I got the pork belly appetizer and the chicken appetizer both were outstanding. The pork belly has a special sauce that is cashew based and it's so unique and delicious that should be on everyone's short list. The chicken Mochiko was equally interesting the bartenders gave me a tip, dip it in both sauces at the same time. I did the old two side dip instead of mixing them. Don't forget to use both sauces together. They have a vast menu that spans many types of cuisine. Each dish is a work of art. This is a must try restaurant in Houston Texas.

Yelp
Menu is full of delicious, modern, culturally inclusive creations. It has Pao de Quiejo appetizer which is a cheese bread from Brazil. There is a beautiful Ube souffle pancakes with lavendar chantilly cream with boba and sauce, has Latin American flavor options, French Toast stuffed with custard lava- all very superbly creative and unique. Keep it up.
